the staff is SO loud and they need to have a lounge out back where they can learn to chew with their mouths closed. the girl working at the counter was ok but she was a little iffy and rude. when we got our food we told them that the staff was very loud and they needed a lounge out back and then both of the girls just walked away. I would never come here again. two of the men working there were sitting way away from each other and screaming at each other. we were only there for a few minutes and now my ears are bleeding. seriously, don’t go here.

We get take out at least once a week, the food is always fresh and piping hot, in fact it's so good you'd never know your eating takeout. Carrie the owner, knows everyone by name, and she always goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. If you want great old fashioned Chinese food, then China Villa is worth your visit.

Second time ordering here. Never will again we ordered chicken fingers they came hard as a rock couldn't eat them and ordered general tso's and received some chicken with peanut sauce. I called to let them know. I was asked if I was sure I ordered from here and kept being told that's odd are you sure. So basically they think your stupid if you call to let them know they did wrong. Stay away and Order much better Chinese food else where at a better price.

Went there last night after reading reviews. I'm not sure where these other people have been for Chinese but the food was horrid. Well some of it was ok. The rice had barely any flavor and what flavoring it had was off. My orange chicken was well lacking chicken I think I got empty coating.. The flavoring was not very good either. I left but took my left overs with me. This morning I just threw them out as I spent all night on the verge of throwing up. I'm sick and my gf who went with me is also. Will never go there again.

Awesome place only complaint I have is why you all hoarding the duck sauce I ordered almost 70 dollars in food and only got two small ducksauces . This isn't the first time this has happened . Love the place but don't be so stingy on the sauce man lol

Often busy at meal times so best to phone in order. Not much interesting about the decor, but the food is good. Some dishes are a little more expensive than expected. Not overly generous on portions of meat given in the dishes.

We live 25 mins away, we order from them once a month. All 3 of my kids love it my wife is a very picky eater. My only complaint is with the Orange chicken. It fills me up to fast but is so damn good. Great portions of food, a great meal its better then pizza

I've ordered several times before but, tonight was disappointing. Called and sounded busy so I understood the hour wait time for delivery. Delivery was so much faster than the quoted hour, by thirty minutes! No complaint there on the arrival however, we didn't get all of our order. The bag had sauce spilled all throughout and coated every surface of the interior packaging. That made it quite a mess to get into. I'm not certain what happened but the Pad Thai ordered had peanuts on the top (as expected) but, zero peanut based sauce on the noodles. In fact, it was as though it was just that sticky sweet Thai Chili sauce from a bottle made of mostly corn syrup. Don't bother with the Pad Thai dishes, they aren't anywhere near what you're expecting. Serving sizes are enormous. Again, not a complaint but, the quality... just greasy, soggy and not what I would give more than a low average score when it comes to taste and quality. Customer service is top notch! Such a shame. I really wanted to love this place but, if you've had genuine tasting Pad Thai, you will NOT like this dish here.

Great first experience. Being fairly new to the area I’ve been looking for a go-to for Chinese delivery for a few months. I’ve tried a couple of places but was still on the search so I tried China Villa based on the good reviews. When I called I was briefly put on hold and when the woman came on to take my order it was obvious she was extremely busy... don’t mistake extremely busy for rude. I had no problem ordering, she gave me the total so I could pay cash and told me just about an hour. I especially liked that she asked if I wanted sauces because I actually don’t eat them and always hate wasting them. The delivery arrived pretty much exactly in the time frame she quoted, was 100% correct and the food is pretty good. Portions are large, food was fresh - not too greasy and not too salty but still tastey. The delivery man was awesome. He might actually be the greatest delivery person I’ve ever encountered. He was a true salesman, asking had I ordered before, where did I move from, pitching the restaurant asking where else I had tried - I tipped him extra because honestly he did such a good job I’d probably have ordered again on his pitch even if I didn’t love the food. Also worth mentioning there is a delivery minimum but we were over it so no problem there and I ordered at what I would consider peak time when I expect it to be busy and there was no delay beyond the quoted time. Why the 4 stars then? One reason - styrofoam containers - I hate them and I hope they will eventually switch to something that can be recycled or composted. Beyond that I’m very happy and will absolutely order again.

Food was decent 4/10 but I went in expecting to be served at one of the tables like a normal restaurant. 10minutes sitting and waiting someone finally came up and asked “may I help you?” I replied I was trying to eat in and needed a menu. She gave me a take out menu and told me I had to order at the register. After I ordered my food was delivered in styrofoam to-go containers. I will not be back. Plenty of take out Chinese/Thai in the area, if you can’t afford real plates then you shouldn’t have tables and need to be labeled as takeout only.

Absolutely love the food but do not let them run your credit card. Always pay with cash, they charge you 5$ off the bat just to run the card. I asked the owner why and she said "that's just the way they do it" I told her I was calling the better business bureau on her and she assured me that my $5 would be returned to my card. After making a big deal, I explained that it was against the law and then everyone eating their noticed they had been charged the 5$ also. Great food but don't pay with a card. Highway robbery if you ask me!!!!!

I love China Villa because it is exactly the kind of Chinese food place that I like: fast, inexpensive, delivered, and good. They have all the usual guilty pleasures that I like, and then options for when I'm in the mood for something healthier. All of their food has been good thus far, especially their chicken fingers, crab rangoons, beef teriyaki, meat & veggie dishes, and their wonton soup; I love their wonton soup!!!! (Big chunks of fresh meats and veggies with awesome dumplings in a delicious broth!!!). We really like it here. They are exactly what you would expect out of a Chinese food place in Westbrook, Maine, just with profoundly better food.

I wanted something relatively quick and cheap because I’ve had a long week at work, and even longer week at home with my two newborn sons that are now three weeks old. I have my hands full and was craving “Chinese” in which I can make everything I’ve ordered due to being Vietnamese, but I didn’t have a lot of the ingredients here at the moment, didn’t wanna do a store run with the twins, and really hadn’t felt like cooking! I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR BBQ PORK WELL DONE AND TO “BURN” it as one of the items because I know how fatty and pale looking it can typically be otherwise! The girl that had taken my order had literally read back my order including the WELL DONE BBQ PORK, and yet once it gets here it looks as pale and fatty as I remembered! I called them up and they were no help... I ended up recooking it on the stove, and luckily I had the cheu sin bbq powder to cook it properly! Spent $35 to avoid cooking and cleaning and I end up doing both NTM I HAD TO WAIT TO EAT AFTER BECAUSE MY BOYS WOKE UP AND WERE HUNGRY! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN .... SIMPLY DONT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION PEOPLES PERSONAL LIVES AND ALL I ASKED WAS ONE SIMPLE REQUEST!!

Took almost 2 hours to get pu pu platter for 2. Was told 45 min for delivery (not bad), but the driver got lost. I called after one hour to see if food was ready and the woman said the driver just left. I asked to verify the order since she said the wrong street name at first, I wanted to know it was the correct one. Despite the fact she did find out my order, she seemed quite inconvenienced by my simple request. By the time the food was here, it was soggy and cold. The sauces had opened in the bag and everything was covered with a mixture of them all, making it even more soggy and salty. We tried this place for the first time , it could have been a bad day for them, but honestly, we will never go back.

I usually love this place. Tonight however I called for a pickup order and the woman on the phone refused to sell me pork fried rice without onions. I am allergic to onions. I have called many times before and it has never been an issue. Maybe she was having a bad night but you dont take it out on your customers.

First time here! Really impressed. 4 people to take orders on phone and wait on counter so not much waiting. Compared to lots of restaurants it seemed cleaned, especially when looking into the kitchen area. Vegetable soup as shown here was super yummy and so fresh with big chunks of everything. I actually changed my mind after saying no thanks, because we never eat the soup, to saying ya I'll have a soup.....so glad I did! We will be back for sure!!! Definitely worth a shot if your in the mood for Chinese food or your looking for a new place because your regular spot has let you down 1 to many times.

Favorite food in Westbrook hands down. lunch specials are the best, you get so much food can eat leftovers the next day for lunch. Even easier if you call ahead so it's ready for pick up with an easy menu online or just get delivery. Can eat there as well. Simplicity with the added benefit of a filling and flavorful meal. Keep it up.

Nice people, consistent American Chinese faire. What lowers the review for me is that the food is too salty / too much MSG at times. Also, a little pricier than places of equal quality in neighboring towns. That said, when in Westbrook and having a craving for Rangoons and lomein this is where we go.

This was my go to place when I moved to Westbrook but has become so cheap it's no longer worth ordering. Over the past several months prices are up and portions are down. The quality is good but the value just doesn't line up anymore. As you consider previous reviews just keep in mind they are old when this place was great. What you get is nearly half of what you used to a year ago and the price has gone up by 30% since other Chinese locations in town have closed. The Monopoly is making this place crazy with price vs what you get. Just drive to Portland, there's no way that it's not worth it. I've left less than a handful of bad reviews in my Google lifespan and this is now one of them. Take that with the weight that should be applied by someone who normally only just leaves positive reviews of places that are great. Edit: because you can't label the reality factur on Google anymore. The photo I have posted is $31 dollars worth of Chinese food. You tell me, is it worth it?!

The poo poo platter for two is very weak, why would you include fried wontons and only 2 crab rangoons? Fried wontons are like a cheap Chinese depression meal never mind that the poo poo platter is three quarters pork spare ribs. Pro tip don't go here go to Happy Garden spend half the money get twice the food and better too.

The delivery is very fast! We have only ordered delivery with them, but the staff seems very nice. You get a lot of food, which is reasonably priced. The lunch specials are great! You get an appetizer, entree and rice for $9-11. Dinner specials are about the same with no appetizer. We’ve enjoyed the egg rolls, white meat General Tao’s, Beef and Broccoli and Teriyaki Beef kabobs. However, I wasn’t overly fond of the fried rice.

Decent food, and customer service. I would say the food is average. My guess is they use sisco for distribution. I dont notice anything unique about the preperation. If your use to the average, this place is on par. Not too bad, and not amazing either. I recommend take out, not a great in house atmosphere.

An excellent option for Chinese food if you're in the area. I stopped in on Christmas Day around noon time and ordered a custom order for three. The price was reasonable, the wait was less than planned, and the food quality was (with the exception of one inedible chunk of over fried chicken) pretty darn good. Pork fried rice was a bit dry, but honestly I'm not turned off by that. Sauces can help to get you through the rough times with taking on a dry rice helping. I've gone here a few times before with similar results. I've come to expect average service, good flavors, and a tricky parking situation.

So this is your regular local Chinese restaurant, but somehow their food is way better than usual. The Egg Foo Young and Pad Thai is just fantastic. Their spicy stars are inconsistent but nothing that cant be fixed with some sriracha. I work locally and visit for lunches, unsure how dinnertime or delivery

Called to tell them that I got the wrong item and they completely ignored me and said that what they have written down is what I ordered. I don't eat the chicken wings, so I know that I didn't order it. Got The Sesame Chicken for about the sixth time last nite, this time it was balls of fried dough, like they forgot the chicken. Since we've had pretty good luck there for the last couple of years I decided to return the balls of fried dough just to see how they took care of screw ups. They said no refund but would make me another one, being 11am and not wanting another order I was just out of luck. A$12.00 refund would have saved a customer. It's really pretty minor but mostly just the principle I guess. I won't be going back anytime soon.

Well, again had issues with this place. Hire people who can answer a phone!!! I called the girl answed with Hi....that was it no hi this is china villa or anything. I thought I had the wrong number! I gave her my info and started to order, she them screams at me over the phone that she cant hear me and hangs up on me!! I call back and get the same girl again she says she cant hear me and again hangs up on me. I inspect my phone thinking there has to be something wrong with my phone because I can hear her clear as day but somehow she cant hear me. I find nothing wrong, but decide to call a few different places and low and behold all the other places I call can hear me clear as day. So i call back yet again, and this time they just dont answer the phone. Hire people who know how to do their freaking job!!!! I wont be ordering from them again!!!! This place is a joke!!!

First time here I believe and I haven't had Chinese in a while. Really like the sweet and sour chicken and the beef teriyaki. I'm not big on egg drop soup so I tried the hot and spicy soup...it wasn't in my opinion as good as the wonton soup. And I can order to go next time and they deliver so I grabbed a takeout menu.

I could not believe my eyes young blonde girl was taking orders on the phone then going straight to peeling beans or something i have no clue but preparing food no less other guy on front was taken orders as well and then going back and laughing with her and then she would take orders play with her phone then prepare food take her phone out four or five times then playu with her hair then went back to pealing beans I cannot believe this, as lookin past tables and thru the kitchen across from it i can see no one uses gloves they all touch there hair and then prepare food, I can see that there is no proper dress code they walk in with there coat jackets purses and grab food and prepare food with stuff on it was the most disgusting experience i have ever been thru i could not believe my eyes
