Not terrible at all. I went with some friends on a Saturday afternoon and the place was basically empty. As soon as we said buffet, the employees rushed and set out a small feast on the buffet bar. The service was very good. The interior of the resturaunt was very cozy and oriental.

I love this food, they have very good quality (even more so if you order off the menu). I've never had a problem with cleanliness or anything like that, and I love that it's family owned. And if you ever have any problems they are always ready to take care of it. Favorite Chinese restaurant in the area

"Definitely got to Sun Sun"? Idiot. Canton is fine. I've been getting take-out from them for years and it hasn't changed at all. It's a Chinese restaurant. What do you want? They were pouring soup down a drain? So what? And people only wash their hands when other people are around, let's be real.

Consistently great food and very nice, accommodating people. Favorite chinese food restaurant. We sat at a table and ordered from the menu. Ive had takeout before and it was also quite good.

Stopped in for Chinese buffet, it was pretty terrible. Right at about 6:30pm on a Saturday, place was practically empty..and so was EVERY bin of food on the buffet table. We kept waiting for them to bring out refills, but they really truly never did. Except for chicken fingers, they did eventually fill that. The others sat there, almost completely empty, and ignored by staff. Seriously, the juices in some had dried to the bottoms of the empty food bins, and still no refills. C'mon, people, they didn't even fill the lo mein or rice, how can they think this is ok? Worst Chinese buffet I've EVER seen, it looked like a joke.

Weekday lunch is quiet and a bit slow. That could be good or bad depending upon what you're looking for. It's a little dark and their buffet is only about a quarter set up. Haven't eaten there for dinner or on a weekend since I was a child so I can't speak for that. Their take out is always good. Typically give yourself an extra half hour or hour especially on a holiday. The place can get crazy around holidays. I would suggest against ordering mixed drinks. While well intentioned they are always mixed with bottom shelf liquor and the proportions are always heavy on the liquor. Stick to non alcoholic or beer. Everyone is always polite. The place has been around for my entire life. No idea how much longer before then. In Gardiner that is quite a challenge especially in the last five to ten years alot of businesses have gone under but they're still around, it's definitely a local go to.

Been coming here from Augusta for years. It is consistently the best Chinese buffet in the area. They do everything they can to accommodate you. If they are out of something they will usually bring it to your table. You can't say that about any other buffet. The food is consistently good. Its not outstanding but good.

The Canton Village used to set the standard for Chinese dinning...But the last 2 times my take out order has been dry like it was warmed up from lunch... And this last time it tasted like it had been prepared with rancid fat..Had my stomach doing jump ropes....I was charged top dollar for food the dog wouldn't eat.....Sad as over the years I had enjoyed even looked forward to a meal from this restaurant, never again...

I live in Gardiner and really enjoy visiting this restaurant. The owner and staff are always helpful and friendly. They serve excellent food, especially the vegetable fried rice, egg drop soup and spring rolls. The restaurant also has reasonable prices and a pleasant, quiet atmosphere.

Excellent people here at The Canton Village. Quick service. Prices are competitive. The food is Great. I get the PuPu Platter for 2, and it makes 4 to 5 meals. Their Fried Dumplings are another favorite. Everything there is So Delicious. I would recommend the Canton to anyone, any day.

I have loved this place since I was a kid 25 years ago and have traveled the world, I have yet to find a chinese restaurant that can even come close. Anyone that has a bad thing to say about this place can pack sand cuz they will prolly whine about everything anyways. Only downside to this restaurant is that it's spoiled me and made me super picky about GOOD Chinese food.

On Thanksgiving day they delivered our food! Ever single item we ordered was cooked perfectly! I am a chef myself and this was some seriously impressive Chinese! Well done on all accounts! And my food was at my door in less than 30 min! I can't even tell you all how lovely this dining experience has been. Ty canton village.
