Over priced, small portions, and excellent customer service are the 3 things I would use to describe this place. The staff was amazing and it was super busy. There was a line out the door so they must do something right. Also their menu was quite extensive. They have something for everyone. And they are willing to accommodate special requests. This must be a local place as they knew a lot of their customers by name. Maybe we just didn't order the right thing. We would try it again another time and will update our review if we do.

A great choice for lunch on the main drag of Brunswick, Maine. The menu consumes most of a wall, that's because it's so extensive. My wife had eggplant parm, and I had a "Philadelphia" steak and cheese. The wide tells me the eggplant was good (one of the few things I refuse to eat), and my steak and cheese was good, even though it was about 400 miles from Philadelphia, both geographically and culinarily. (To be fair - having spent almost 5 years in the Philly area - I have yet to find anything that's really close to the real thing more than 50 miles away, though T.C. Lando's near here is the closest.)

Always a good place to drop in for a quick breakfast sandwich. I'm partial to the Tom Thumb with egg, cheddar, avocado, and tomato (hold the Mayo). Plenty of lunch options with fun names and interesting ingredients. Note: only white bread options- English muffins, sub rolls, white bread, or pita.

I asked what she wanted and this is what she immediately asked for. She's picky so you must be doing it right. I used to work a couple blocks away. This is fantastic as is the veggie melt and the egress.

Have been going to Big Top Deli since 2004. The same friendly service, the same fresh made and tasty food. Love this as my personal epitome of the town deli that you wish you could find in your own town. I've been searching for my replacement throughout the tri-state area and failing for fifteen years. I'm not sure what constitutes "New York Style" deli, but when you get a French Dip with hardly enough meat to fill half of a half of a sub roll, I think any self-respecting New Yorker would find that adjective insulting. Au ju was tasty enough, not too salty, bread was adequate. Friend's trapeze burger was dry and overcooked. A real travesty what was done to that meat. Egg on the trapeze was cooked correctly, however.

Reputation is better than the value. They advertise as a deli, and have deli items on the menu, but the portions are small and the food is pretty standard for what you pay. Went off the usual and tried the steak and cheese, which ended up being heated roast beef.

For lunch sandwiches you can go with one off the menu or build your own from wide variety or breads, meats, cheeses, and toppings. Staff are helpful if you have questions.

I was born and raised in Maine for my first 14 years. This is my all time favorite spot to eat. I havent eaten here since probably 2010, but if it's anything like it was then, then its AMAZING. They would give a delicious pickle with every sandwich. Their sandwiches were amazing and their mayo was also really nice and unique. I recently visited Maine and sadly did not get a chance to stop by. I hope they're still here the next time I get to visit!!!! I now live in Illinois and can't get here anymore. But if I could I would every single day.
