Clean and inviting restaurant. For a breakfast and lunch place I wished I could have gotten breakfast after 11. Our sandwiches and salad were great. We weren't sold on the French onion soup, not enough flavor and too sweet. Overall a good experience. We will be back

Bernies is amazing for a delicious breakfast. Our food was super tasty and the atmosphere was cheerful and warm. I am not a Mr. Bagel fan, however, so good thing we weren't patronizing that side of the business. I would not hesitate to visit again for a delicious scramble or omelete.

Bad service and cold food. Sorry but that's about it. Sign said please seat yourself, which turned it into a free for all. Dirty table, no silverware and got all 4 meals at the table over the course of a 6 minute period....maybe that's why my food was cold....I had to wait 5 minutes for everyone at my table to have food before I could eat. Stay away. Plenty of other places that will bend over backwards to have you as a customer. Not this place

Clearly understaffed this morning; we went in with our toddler for a late breakfast (9:30AM) only to discover 4 dirty tables. Waited by one of them for 5 minutes and saw no one clearing any of them, and two servers who didn't acknowledge us (I mean, literally didn't make eye contact as they walked the floor). No apologies for anything as we left to find another place to eat. We've had slow service there before. The food is good, but not worth the wait today.

Aside from a longer wait time for our food than other places this size, it was a good meal for a fair price. I had a western omlet which was a good size, cooked perfectly and filled with fresh ingredients. It came with hash browns which were not warm but they were cooked well and toast. Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there.

We just had a great breakfast at Bernie's. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their order. Their custom omelettes and scrambles, offered with a large variety of meats, cheeses, onions, meats veggies, were great. Not to mention baked in house New York style bagels. Service was fast and friendly

THE worst breakfast place in Maine. Awful service, Horrible food, OVER PRICED- I have tried and tried to give this place a "second chance" and each time, they fail worse than the last. And the owners don't care. Someone, PLEASE, open a good place for breakfast in Falmouth- bernie's is NOT it- the cook shouldn't even be allowed in a kitchen. Check your bill too for extra charges- they rip people off!

This place is so consistently terrible when i order take out. 3 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches with no bacon, kid says come in any time today for a refund, forgets to mention they close @2pm (an hour after he said come in any time) Another time I Order (clearly & specifically as you must be when ordering from Bernie’s) a Banana, a yellow, ripe, unpeeled banana. A few banana slices are brought to me. The breakfast sanwhiches have gotten worse every month until at this point they’re trash. I threw the last 2 away and won’t make the mistake ordering again. Maybe stop having a staff of all children !

Pretty good food, half-decent service, but what did I have to go through just to sit down?! So Bernie's Foreside and Mister Bagel share the same entrance, for one thing. There is incredibly limited seating. It's located in Falmouth, so using a table as breakfast bar seating is not widely practiced, which would allow for fewer people to wait in line. The line forms at the entrance/exit alley at the front of the building. It's confusing, and if it's your first time it can be embarrassing, since it says seat yourself but no one wants to share seating.

I was on my way to Walmart this morning with a close friend. We decided to get bagels w CC and smoked salmon for breakfast. We are BOTH serious 'foodies'.... I am a classically trained chef and baker, with certification in SANITATION, HYGIENE and CUSTOMER SERVICE. To our surprise and shock.... not only was the African-American guy at the order counter rude, almost nasty, with no personality..., he was handling bagels and food without gloves! This was exacerbated by the fact that he was handling paper, a pen that he had behind his ear and answering the phone, etc.... with absolutely no regard for cleanliness. These objects carry germs, viruses and can seriously infect any and every customer. Worst of all, I saw him blow/wipe his nose, put the spent tissue in his pocket, not wash his hands, and then continue to slice bagels. Ugh!! UPON SEEING THIS LACKLUSTER BEHAVIOR.... I LEFT THE SHOP ASAP..., I WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!! HOW CAN YOU MAKE EXCUSES FOR FOOD SAFETY AND SANITATION VIOLATIONS!? I DON'T CARE WHAT RESPONSE AND COMMENTARY THE OWNER COMES UP WITH...OR, WHAT HIS NASTY VERBIAGE WILL BE... BUT A COPY OF THIS IS GOING TO BE REGISTERED WITH BOTH PORTLAND AND FALMOUTH DEPTS OF HEALTH. I WOUND UP HAVING BREAKFAST AT McDONALDS... at least food safety is a priority there, with employee sanitation being paramount. I WILL NEVER FREQUENT THIS BUSINESS AGAIN...

If there was a way to indicate negative stars, I would. This was NOT a typical Bernie's experience at all!!! I received the completely wrong order -- receiving a Cuban instead of Pulled Pork -- and my niece's patty melt STILL HAD THE PAPER ON IT!!!! When she returned and pointed it out, the waitress said, "Oh, that's just the paper that's between the patties." Really?? Thank you for that incredible analysis and conclusion. You may want to review your staff and consider either additional training or some other options.

Ate there for brunch this morning and literally experienced the worst customer service in my life. We sat down at a table and it took 20 plus minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. When they did they smacked down two menus like we were a serious inconvenience. We were never checked on once the meal arrived and we had to chase someone down for 25 minutes when we were done eating to get a check. When we finally walked up to the counter to pay because no one would come to our table they turned their back to us and pretended not to see us. So rude. The only reason they deserve one star is because the kitchen staff is on point. Front of house staff is harsh and rude and I will never be bringing business there again because of it.
