Not very good. From the warm ice water with no ice, to the unexpected black olives in a breakfast burrito. Everything was just kind of bad. Won't be back. Service was at least friendly, not good just friendly.

It's an okay place to go as a small group. I've been with a party of 5 and they only had 3 silver ware on the table took 2 times to get the drink order correct and they forgot to split out check. Again it's an okay place but I did like the little girl cook she had a nice attitude and smile.

Fantastic seafood!!! Three meals: Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Baked Scallops and Baked Seafood Plate. We couldn't stop raving about how well the entrees were cooked and how delicious they were. Service was excellent!

Thats my biggest irritaion, go to a restaurant and have flies buzzing, around and bugging you while you eat. They stated the night before was so hot they had door open, I truly understand it has been hot!!

Hands down best Lobster Roll I have had!!! So Amazing. The roll was huge 8in, soft, and fresh. The lobster in the bottom was mixed in, what tasted like a mayo/basil type spread. It was sweet. Then topped w/ additional huge chunks of lobster w/ a side bowl of butter for dipping. It was to-die-for. Coleslaw also delicious and creamy. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, clean, comfortable seating, and everyone was super friendly. Will definitely be a regular from now on.

I'm usually 100% happy with my visits but today I saw a whole new side I'd never experienced. No dinner rolls (still in the oven at 430 pm. I asked for a drink and the waitress had to see if the ingredients were all there then never checked. When I mentioned it she said she'd been busy cutting up salad stuff. Finally she brought it. 8.75 and definitely not worth it! My husband and I ordered the pot roast dinner. It was all hunk of pot roast 2 small cut up potatoes and I guess it was supposed to have carrots! Very very disappointed! I think we've eaten our last meal there. Makes a difference I guess when the owners not there!!

Great food and service, with lots of vegetarian options! There is an extensive menu traditional of American dishes, with a surprising number of vegetarian choices, including on the kids menu. The servers were very friendly and accommodating to making some small changes to make other dishes vegetarian. this is not fast food! Everything was made from scratch, and from fresh ingredients. Quality food, but not a quick meal if you're in a hurry. The homemade black bean veggie burger was delicious and the garlic parmesan fries were too.

Went by this place last night and thought it looked to be a great place, so we go in, get our drinks, order appetizers, and 2 meals. Mind you this place was getting less busy by time we were sitting. We waited 1 hour and 15 mins to not only be forgotten about, people who came in after us got their food before us, well they proceeded to get up and ask to speak to a manager then a kid very unprofessionally says uhm yeah sure, gets the manager, then the guy says all of their food is cold, meanwhile this whole time Before i can hear our waiter saying she lost the ticket for the food for a table, and she didn’t know what to do, etc. the waiter comes back over to refill one of our drinks, and says I hope your food will be out soon. Horrible horrible service. Can’t even say we got to try the food after waiting an hour an a half almost for it... I wouldn’t even give them 1 star... ridiculous.

Generous portions of hearty, traditional, home-cooked favorites like casseroles, pork chops, and meatloaf, alongside of contemporary takes on pizza and burgers. Also a great kids menu thats a notch (or two or three) higher in quality than a typical kids menu. Definitely something for everyone. There's a nice bar with a large tv. The dining room is casual but nicely furnished and clean. It's a locally owned establishment and it's clear that the staff here are a part of this community and they care about the customers they serve.

My husband and I are very new to the area well we're very new to Maine lol. We had passed Aunt Gins many of times in the last 30 days. Sometimes super busy sometimes not so much. We would see the sign for the Finally Friday Comfort Food Buffet and say we're gonna have to try it. It's a very unassuming looking place, welcoming not flashy. So Friday night came and the hubs said lets try it out. He googled the reviews and the menu before of course. Man this one time I'm glad I listened to him! The second we hit the door you could SMELL the goodness! Friendly hostess and waitress helped us decide between ordering and buffet. We chose buffet after we looked at it. Even though all the food off the menu around us looked and smelled incredible. My oh my it was so good everything was good everything. Fish, stuffed pork loin, real red skin mashed potatoes, lasagna, American chop suey, soup,salad, pot roast, veggies, deserts,homemade breads and puddings. Plus so much more I'm still full it was awesome. Lesson learned try it you might like it or in this case love it! We'll be what we call regulars as long as we live in the area. Oh and it's all very well priced too. ❤

Not at all worth the money. This place serves the same fare as most other cheap country diner-style restaurants in Maine, but at 2 times the price or more. We were taken aback at the prices at first, but the decor was nice (for backwoods Maine) so we decided to give it a chance. My wife had the open-faced turkey sandwich, which was old, crusty, and just plain bad-tasting. I had the haddock sandwich, which was mediocre and nothing more. Our daughter had fish sticks and some questionable macaroni and cheese. We ordered meals on the cheaper side as we were't really expecting to shell out $50 for a roadside bite to eat, but that's what it cost us in the end anyway. We had an appetizer of fried pickles, which were delicious. But several hours later I found myself quite ill, spewing out of both ends. Not a cool experience, and not at all worth it. The staff were pleasant and professional, but that didn't make up for the bad food.

Tl;Dr: Very nice over all. Good food, great atmosphere, and pretty affordable. You can tell they are a new (07/31/17) restaurant because they were constantly asking if my food was prepared the way I wanted it, or if we needed anything, or if "everything was okay". They are extremely consiensious of their customers well being, and I think their intentions are good... But everyone has their own opinion; Like some people who posses a higher amount of life experience might enjoy this personable meal check-in, but as a melenial, I found it was just a little too much. However, it was good to know they actually care, about the people they feed, and the future of their business. The food was very good. I ordered the seafood platter, and I wasn't able to finish it. The shrimp isn't the dinky Hannaford shrimp from a platter, it's a bigger, plumper, and overall better shrimp. The clams were delicious, end of story. Everything was fried, however, and while the scallops and clams we're delicious, I would have liked the option to have some variety of preparation, instead of the easy-out, "Just deep fry everything, they'll love it!" mindset. Just an idea. The atmosphere was very calm, and even though there were only 2 or 3, other groups eating near us, I feel like the building and the staff could handle the load of being completely packed, and still have a sense of and serenity and ease while producing quality food. Their bar selection looked plentiful, however, I didn't have the chance to experience it tonight. That review will be at a later date. Aunt Gin's location is on point for anyone in the Whitefield/Jefferson/Windsor/Chelsea or even outer Augusta and parts of Pittston. Contrary to my criticism earlier, Aunt Gin's eagerness to please their customers, ensure their comfort, and well being, is the reason I gave them 5 stars. They care, whether or not it's for their reputation and a good review. It's that difference that separates them from a chain spot, or up-town joint. So, try it out for yourself! It's a great place for a date, or family dinner, and you won't be disappointed.

Oh and the deserts are to die for. It's a nice clean inviting atmosphere with super friendly staff with prompt excellent service. You will not be sorry for stopping in and my bet is you'll be back!!!

It was our one and only time. Hostess was pleasant. The food was disgusting, had liver and onions with bacon, the liver was not cooked. Also we had an open faced hot turkey sandwich, the stuffing was hard, bread was tough, turkey left a bit to be desired. Mashed potatoes on both dinners was cold. Hostess did call the owner, didn't charge us for the meals, but never going back.

Recently went to Dinner. I had the prime rib, although is was as rare as rare could be and I ordered it medium they took it away and brought me some thing completely different which was excellent. There is a lot of debate about what is medium and what is rare and thats fine, for me it was way to raw....but how they handled it is why I gave them 5 starts.. Thank you very much... Sorry about wasting your food.... The second dish was great.

I went to Aunt Gin's Restaurant for the first time last week. I'd driven past it dozens of times and noticed that it looked pretty busy most of the time (a good sign! ) but I was quite surprised when I finally went in! The restaurant had been renovated....or updated...and was quite tastefully done. The food was even more surprising! I ordered their meatloaf and I'm pretty sure it was the best I've ever had! The service was excellent and I'm definitely planning to return to Aunt Gin's!

Had a great time here after our trip to the Windsor fair. Food was awesome, service friendly, nice atmosphere ( kids loved the fish tank). We had spaghetti and meatballs ( obviously homemade, yummy meatballs and sauce), meatloaf( she ate twice as much as usual so it must have been good), shaved prime rib sandwich, french onion soup(rich), kids chicken ( loved the coating), plus dessert! Definitely will be back to try more things on their large menu! I want the crab Mac & cheese:)

1st time going and it was awesome. Superb food great service food came out fast and was very delicious. The Beer Burger was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for great food and service and atmosphere.
