Delectable. Excellent food. Bartender matthew crafted me a cocktail that was fresh light and perfect for a summer evening(ask for the Roxy). I had oysters and the bolognese. I am going back tonight because I prefer it to any place in the port.

Staff was so friendly and perfect. Went early to beat the crowd. I was a little disappointed by the ramen but the poached egg was the star of that. My wife had the Statler chicken and it was out of this world. Will definitely go again.

Great place to meet friends and talk not real noisy . Little disappointed my meal said there was lobster in it but there was none and waitress said there wasn't even though the menu said there was. None the less the food was great as were the drinks! Clean plates by all.

Great spot for locals with a very upbeat vibe. BUT SO SO SALTY, and in my opinion, overpriced. We had the roasted beet salad for $13. The serving was minuscule and almost too salty to eat. I had a fish stew for $32 that was again too salty and over priced for its contents: almost all mussels no discernible lobster or shrimp, no clams and a piece of fried something (a fish filet I believe) that was hardly edible. Passable Chardonnay @$11 a glass--again over priced. Wait staff was very pleasant. That said I'm not expecting to return in the near future. Try Pearl Spats, Hurricane or the Tavern instead.

Cool little spot away from the tourist busy part of Kennebunk. Great cocktails, service and delicious food. Feels a little bit more upscale than other restaurants in the area but not stuffy or pretentious. Definitely worth a visit.

Maine Mystery

Live locally and decided to give 50 local a try. Cool atmosphere and location, but it ended there. $17 burger was charred and not flavorful. Just average. I also ordered a drink... dark and stormy. This is two ingredients with a splash of lime. I was unable to finish my straight lime juice. It's unfortunate, but better options in the area

Excellent (not really strong enough adjective) service. Very good quality food. Great beers and cocktails. Wine list was limited and mostly wines I'd never heard of, but because of the excellent server, we found a CA Zin that we were both crazy about.

Quite the drink menu and craft beer offerings

Would have given it zero stars if it was possible, Worst customer experience I’ve seen in a long time. We had a reservation for 4 for 8pm we arrived and checked in at 7:40 and had a seat at the bar. The extremely rude bar tender told us he’s be with us in a minute, we got up and left at 8:52 still not having a table for us and still no drinks or even waters. When we confronted the bar tender before we left about the drinks he responded by throwing his arms up and saying “can’t you see I’m working here”. We will never go back to this establishment and if they treat everyone this way I’m amazed that they are still open. Ended up going to the best restaurant in Kennebunk, The Village Tavern, Always great food and great people there...

We love 50 Local! Been going there with my wife for our wedding anniversary every year since 2013, and as often as possible in between anniversaries. Merrillee finds the perfect seating for us each time we visit. I am over-the-moon for the Poached Egg Salad and generally find it difficult to choose an entree because everything Tyler whips up is just so darn tasty. Often Blake is on hand to share the details and guide my choice, and then there are Mat's cocktails...hoo-boy are they delicious! Hey, maybe we'll see you there soon.

OMG, this place has amazing food...we completely stumbled upon this place looking for an open kitchen @ 9pm on a tuesday night. They welcomed us in and said order away. Started off great with wonderful bread, then we got our grilled corn appetizer... this is a must order... 4 half ears, grilled perfectly, covered in a wonderful Aoili sauce with roasted peppers & onions, plus thinly sliced radishes, it was so amazing. Had the haddock fish & chips, quite frankly one of the best I've ever had... lightly battered, oh so fresh haddock, with a creamy (not chunky) tartar sauce and thick fries. It was amazing. My son had the farm fresh burger and loved it... fresh baked bun, thick bacon and the burger was absolutely cooked to medium. Yes, this is one of the top 10 (if not 5) places I've eaten. Wish I was in Maine for more than 1 night as we'd return for sure. And to top it off, extremely reasonable price for the meal.

I just love the cozy feel of the place, the exceptional friendly service, the view out of the window, the delicious bread...but the food not that much. Creative dishes that have partial good flavor but a bland or particularly strong taste that makes them hard to eat or enjoy. Nice fresh mussels with a mountain of overly salted large fries on top..Will be back, but just for drinks and bread.

So incredible. The service was absolutely amazing. The whole team worked as such a great unit,you never felt like they were busy even though they were really busy. The food would rate in the top 3 meals I have had in my life and I have eaten at Gordon Ramsey's Savoy Grill in London. It is so worth the visit. We got the Hanger steak and the Stratler Chicken. For an appetizer,we got the crab cakes. They had such a good aoili and pickled onions. To die for. I will absolutely be returning many more times.
