I think the food is delicious and reasonably priced. My 3 star rating is because the last two times I purchased the family meal, I was shorted the 4 slices of Texas toast. I was told to come back and get it, but I live to far for that. So, please check your order before you leave.

Servers are rude, meat mostly has neards and cartlage in it, half of which has to be thrown away. Barbarque sauce is just plain hot and not seasoned. Avoid this place it's a waste of money!!! and crap in it

I am so late writing this review.....I ordered a smoked turkey from Mr.Wayne during the holidays and it was the BEST ! (also a pan of yummy Mac and cheese) both were a real crowd pleaser! All the food is good and the staff friendly. No more Greenville Turkeys for us, his is so much better.

We were driving by & stopped at Wayne's about 8 mos. ago.and It was love at first bite! That brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender and it is seasoned to perfection. It has just enough kick to it but isn't fiery hot. The beans are chock full of pork and are truly the best I've ever had. Great food & service!

Dirty and not family-friendly. No changing table to start, servers and staff were not inviting and their high chair looked as if it had not been cleaned since the 90's. Bbq was not good either, very dry and had a weird flavor. Really disappointed my young daughter and I stopped here on our road trip. We would have been more welcome at a clean family friendly McDonald's.

Sir, Mr. Wayne, your BBQ is of the highest standard to which I sing the praises at every chance. Sometimes people tell me, "Oh, you gotta check out this BBQ in Memphis. It's the best around." And then I do try that BBQ from Memphis and...it just doesn't stack up. Anytime anyone tries to introduce me to the "best barbecue" in the world, it will always fall short of the standard set by one, Mr. Wayne Realpitbbq. Sir, I salute you. I salute your restaurant. I salute what you do. Godspeed and may the fork be with you.

Best BBQ in BR area, period. One of my favs anywhere and I've had BBQ from Amarillo to Loredo to Atlanta to Orlando and many places in between. If you are traveling it's well worth the short detour. If coming from BR, absolutely worth the drive. Good flavor, not over cooked, excellent sauce and friendly service. My stars guide: 1.) run for the hills 2.) do not recommend 3.) recommend with hesitation 4.) recommend 5.) recommend with extreme prejudice

Great place to eat. It wasn't fancy, but the owner and staff were very friendly and down to earth. We ordered the 5 meat dinner plate so we could try it all. The meat was flavored so good and practically melted in your mouth. The 2 sides were delicious. It was like home cooked. The price was extremely reasonable. We both ate and drank for under $20. The 5 meat plate was enough to share. I will definitely recommend this place to eat. I give the food an A+

Everything we tried & I mean EVERYTHING, was THE BEST!! We would drive out of our way to get to Wayne's. And gorge ourselves & then take home more for later! The owner & staff were very nice. They let us taste whatever we wanted & never complained when we rushed in about closing time. I can't say enough great things. We love Wayne's & tell everyone who passes thru Louisianna on I12, to go to exit 22, go north & it's on the left. If you love BBQ, you've got to try Wayne's.

If you like hearing 80 year old men complain about their lives and government, while booking the young people for all their problems...all the while eating a slab of disgusting, slippery fat then this is the place for you.

Good food. Bbq ribs, pulled pork and sausage were really good along with their sweet sauce. The green beans were also delicious. Not a fan of the chicken or brisket both were really dry. The staff are all so sweet and friendly. A must stop and try. I dont think you will be dissatisfied.

2018.02.12 : Just returned from our 5th or so visit in the last few years . Folks , it just doesn't get much better than Wayne's ! The crew is great , the ribs are fantastic , some of the best I've ever eaten , The baked beans are tops , ( might raise your blood sugar a few points ) The Hickory BBQ Sauce is super , the Cole Slaw is better than most , ( if you like cole slaw , lol ) . The drink cups are 24 Oz so you get plenty . I've never tried the other meats because the RIBS are SO GOOD . Maybe next trip I'll get some sort of sample plate if they have one . Definitely a 10 of 10 folks ! 2018: Great BBQ ! Good prices ! ' will return!

Words cannot describe how the food here took me back to my grandfathers hunting and bbq-ing days! The scents and aromas of true home made hickory smoked beef chicken and pork along with banana pudding is enough to make you forget your woes. Dined in to be treated as if I was at home at the kitchen table. Food seasoned just right with the brisket having just enough fat for the right flavor and moistness that it should have. The green beans ...mmhmmhmm! If you have to pull off the highway from travel, do treat yourself to a home cooked family meal like we did.
