It is evident that they have instituted cost cutting measures. I fondly remember this place in its prime. Now, burger was little frozen patty with little lettuce and little tomato. Pretty much what I would expect from fast food. Sides should be labeled as "taste-size sample."

We found VooDoo BBQ right off the St. Charles Streetcar line on a HOT day. Walked in and was thrilled at the cold air conditioning. Told the girl that our was it first time so she gave us a few menus to browse and we had a seat. Several options for BBQ and side dishes. We ended up ordering brisket, pulled pork, fries, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans. All items were good. Brisket and pork were moist. Baked beans were flavorful and had a nice kick to them. The only small negative I'll add is that when I went to get a refill the first time, there was a swarm of flies near the drink machine and condiments which I get happens and they were gone by the time I came back.

Great chain BBQ place. Good variety of unique sauces, and pulled pork was excellent. Were unfortunately out of brisket by the time we got there, so don't wait too long into the evening! Bread pudding is not to be missed.

Food was good! I loved the sweet cornbread and sweet potatoe souffle. Ribs also good. My only complaint was that the food wasn't hot enough, I did mention this to the manager and he fixed it right away. I would definitely visit this place again, the next time I'm in the city.

Went there because pizza place was closed. So glad the pizza place was closed! Had a brisket po boy the 1st time. Second time had catfish. My fam had the ribs and they loved loved loved them. Catfish was also delicious. Staff was great. Shout out to Peter!

I went there wanting something different, my husband and I ordered two brisket sandwiches on bun , French fries and corn pudding. The French fries tasted like they were fried in old burned grease, the corn pudding was dry and there was a hair in it and our brisket was butned. Needless to say we won't be retuning, truly disappointed.

Potato salad is very tasty and different from any other. I had the brisket which was seasoned well. I prefer a sweet and tangy sauce so I mix two of their sauces to create my perfect match. Been a while since I visited; never been to the location here in New Orleans but in Baton Rouge I get garlic toast; here it was a cold hard corn muffin. The baked beans tasted fresh...out of the can, a few rehydrated onions perhaps but were quite lackluster. The service...meh. One girl was concerned with shoveling Popeyes down her throat while I interrupted the other two with my order; they were trying to solve a drawer overage/shortage mystery.

Mixed feelings with this visit. We regularly gonin for their very awesome baked potatoes.. we went today and all was good with the service etc.. out potatoes tasted good but they definitely weren't hot. Literally right after we were leaving my son's stomach started hurting so we had to return home. On our way back home, my stomach started hurting. We've been sick ever since. Usually have great food. Something was off today.

I came to New Orleans for a few parades and decided to stop here to grab a quick bite and drink. The man and woman behind the bar were practically laying on it and the girls behind the registers were all playing on the phone. There was only 1 room to sit in due to boxes and garbage cans all over one sitting area. The restroom was completely disgusting. Very disapponted.

Service was terrible. My wife and I ate here yesterday and it took quite a bit to get the cashier to leave her table in the front of the business to take our order. Once she completed her task, she continually returned to her spot in front of the business and began smoking once again. The line cook repeatedly had to step outside to get the girl back inside to take or order or just take the order herself. Management definitely needs to be aware of this issue and have the opportunity to correct it.

Very good barbeque. Each table had three different types of sauce to choose from. I had a side of Jambalaya that was tremendous. My favorite part of the visit. Three ambiance is fun with New Orleans styled art work. The service was good and staff was very friendly.

Decided to patronize the establishment on the way home and the staff had closed the establishment 30 WHOLE MINUTES before they were supposed to. Chairs were on top of the table, staff was on their cellphones, feet kicked up on a table and the door was locked at 10:31pm. It would have been nice if the staff honored the time the establishment has advertised its hours of operation. I wasn’t allowed in the door even to ask why they had closed 30 mins early. I only wanted soufflé. How rude!

Ordered food to go. Service was just okay. The restaurant was not busy and the employee basically tossed our bag at us and pushed us toward the door. The employee went over the order to ensure that everything was there, but when we got home we realized our cornbread was missing and there was no bbq sauce. I got the sides platter with corn pudding, steamed veggies, and mac and cheese. I enjoyed the veggies and the corn pudding, but the mac and cheese was below average. Texture was pretty mushy and it was lacking flavor. My boyfriend had jerk chicken and pulled pork with the gris gris greens and sweet potato souffle, and he enjoyed his meal. We shared the voodoo chips and they were average. I don't think this will be a repeat restaurant for me.

I've passed this place on the streetcar several times over the past few days and finally decided to stop in for lunch. I had a hard time decided what to order because everything sounded so good! I chose the jerk chicken sandwich with sides of gris-gris greens and beans & rice, and was delighted by my selection. The chicken was tender with perfect jerk seasoning, and the French bread had that ideal balance between a crisp crust and tender interior. The sides were equally delicious.

Ummm ... nah My rice was under cooked IDK what kind of red beans and rice that was. The corn bread muffin felt like it was store bought and cold. For fast food bbq, it's not bad. Stay away from the gumbo. I don't know what it was, but it ain't gumbo. The sweet potato soufflé was tasty, but nothing to write home about it. It was dry, crumbly, and lacked butter. Service was awesome, with a smile, eager, and cheerful.

The one in Harvey has a nice view if you're dining in. Good place for groups too. I'm not used to this style of BBQ (I didn't find it tasty at all), but the portion sizes were decent. The view, the customer service and the serving sizes earned it 4.5 stars, but I'd give the flavor a 2.5 stars. However, deliciousness is truly relative, and a personal matter of opinion. Try it for yourself and you decide. I think the customer service and the view alone makes this place worth visiting.

When I walked in I was immediately greeted by friendly staff and the smell of good BBQ. I looked over the menu and decided on the jerk chicken sandwich on french bread and a side of the corn pudding. The chicken and corn pudding were very good. I tried all three of their BBQ sauces and was very impressed. The only complaint I have is the fact that the tables are all very sticky, but that didn't take away from my experience. Overall, the experience was a good one and if I'm ever in New Orleans again, I will go back.

Customer service was horrible. My coworker had to literally walk to the serving window to pick up his food after it had been sitting there for over 5 mins. Another coworker had the bbq chicken and it was cold. I had th shrimp poboy and it was flavorless. Definitely not recommending this place.

BBQ that can make a vegetarian happy? Yes, they offer three sides as a meal option. The sweet potato souffle is wonderfully tasty. The mac and cheese is made on premises and delicious. I always order the fresh vegetables, which are mildly spiced. The staff has always been friendly. We visit NOLA annually, staying in the French Quarter, but we take the St. Charles Streetcar to get to Voodoo Barbeque. Let me add that most patrons are locals who enjoy the BBQ meat options.

I went here on the basis of the reviews. Let me first say we had excellent customer service from the staff. They were very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Now that I got the only redeeming quality of this establishment out of of the way. I'm from Virginia and was here on vacation so my palate for good BBQ is on point. Well I want to warn anyone coming here that one the food is horrific. The 3 sauces people talk about are terrible. Myron Mixon would be appalled by this place. The meat is dry as the desert, no smoke ring. You can tell that the meat was not properly smoked, injected, and basically loved. I also believe that the food may be old as I got runs. I started with the gumbo, not to be funny but the rue made me poo. The brisket was terrible. I felt I should of drove over night to Austin and visit Franklin BBQ and cleanse my taste buds. I know this area is an excellent place for cuisines of all kinds but I don't know how this place was rated so high. Were everyone's taste buds burnt off by the hot sauce? Please do yourself a favor and avoid an intestinal disaster.

I would love to give this place 5 stars because everything here is delicious but the portions are ridiculously small and almost childlike. I spent $23 on myself and barely got food. Even my husband was shocked. I only purchased three side dishes and jambalaya but they all came in tiny 3oz cups including a cornbread and the jambalaya in a pint size cup. For this price you might as well go to melba’s. They have all of this and then some!

My family and I visited New Orleans and found this place on line. My husband and i got signature pulled pork which we agreed that it was a bit salty. I had coleslaw and voodoo chips for sides. My husband got coleslaw and rice and bean. We both like coleslaw. It had a good taste. We decided to go back on last night of our trip. I had a cajun spicy sausage with the same two sides. My husband had signature pulled pork with coleslaw and voodoo chips. His pulled pork was not salty this time. My sausage was good. The only thing that both of us have to give a thumb down was coleslaw. It was very bland and no taste. They seems to be no consistency!!!

This was the best brisket I've ever had. The pulled pork was fantastic as well. My sides of buttery corn pudding and creamy sweet potato casserole were absolutely top notch. Our service was quick and friendly. I will admit that I'm not a fan of any of the three sauces they serve but luckily neither the brisket or pork needed it. That is the mark of some stellar bbq. My kids actually asked if we could go back the next night. Voodoo remains on our list of must eats whenever we visit Nola.

Stopped in on a rainy day for lunch. Employees were super friendly and the food came out fairly quick as we were the only patrons at the moment. I got the pulled pork with mojo beans and homemade chips. The pork was good as well as the beans. The homemade chips were a little soggy which was unfortunate. Prices I find were a tad bit high for what you get yet comparable to other BBQ joints.

I just came from there, and don't believe the pics they show, chicken is very small, and they are not #1 in BBQ as they say . Plus there were cashiers doing selfies close to 14 mins. If I was the manage which there wasn't ,I would have sent them home for the day . Voodoo chips suck and their fries they add way too much seasoning which over powers the taste, this place is ranked , no wonder its always dead .

This was extremely disappointing. I got a brisket po boy. Now let me tell you, nothing pisses me off more than to order a po boy and it isnt served on the rignt bread. Hoagie bread is not po boy bread. Then the meat was cold, bland and precious little in quantity. We were literally swatting of dozens of flies while we ate. The soda was watered down. It was mediicre at best and very over priced for the serving size/experience/service. There are ao many really good local places, don't waste your time and money here.

Great service. AMAZING CORNBREAD! my only complaint is that the brisket is very dry. Still good but dry. I love the way this place is set up. The sweet Potato souffle is freaking amazing as well. Especially when you put it on top of your cornbread. I could literally eat it everyday for the rest of my life. The pulled pork is really good too! I'll definitely be coming back! The prices are great for how much food you get too! Oh! And the Cajun sausage is a must!

My family and I went here a few years back, and it was awesome! We were in New Orleans recently and we had to stop by there again. Unfortunately they are/were under construction and have the place was closed off. They didn't have the full menu ... basically a to-go menu, and only a few can drinks (sodas). The food was good. I just wish they weren't under construction at the time.

Went there on Sunday with my family. We had just ordered our food when A RAT, YES I SAID RAT ran across my aunt's foot! We immediately got a refund and left. So did most of the other customers!

First the food: amazing we did the jambalaya and 2 meats, very well seasoned 2nd the sides, i could eat just them for dinner (and they offer that too!) 3rd the owner and staff. Couldnt have been nicer, was so nice to chat and shared a lot of interests
