Classic New Orleans Italian dishes and great service.
Best double stuffed pork chop in town. PERIOD! Top it off with any dessert and you will be pleasantly full.
waiter smell like an ash tray food was great
Vincent's is a consistently excellent experience. Professional staff know their dishes and how to help you choose wisely. while they are attentive they are not annoying. They come just often enough to make the event enjoyable. The food is always very tasty and plentiful. The wine selection exceptional!
Quaint locale, in a great neighborhood, and awesome food! Probably not particularly healthy for me, but the sauce on my huge chunk of tuna was amazing!
Such great food. Real veal meatballs and real sauce. Veal piccata, spinach are heaven
The server had a very nasty attitude. She was unprofessional.
Our go to spot for dinner when visiting NOL. They never disappoint. Ride the St. Charles trolley out to Fern stop, it is practically at Vincents front door.
Food and Service is absolutely amazing
Great place.... Everything smelled really good. Nice quant atmosphere. Great portions...
Very nice place the food is excellent
Food was incredible. Service was fantastic. Extremely impressed. Highly recommend
Good food excellent service
We had an 8:30 reservation. Didn't sit down until 9 but the manager was extremely apologetic And made sure our experience was perfect. The food was outstanding and easily some of the best Italian food I've ever had. The bread was fresh and warm and you can tell that the sauces for the pasta are made in house. The deserts we tried were very tasty as well capping off our delicious meal. Highly recommend!
Not often I meet James Carville in a restaurant, or have the guy sitting next to me burst out singing opera!
The service was excellent!
The food was excellent. The only challenge was we were sitted by some very loud, foul mouthed students. My husband finally said something to them.
Always exceptional food n service!!
Amazing almond oysters and canneloni
Best Restaurant in the entire city
Believe me, after hearing horror stories about the state of the kitchen from its former employees, you do NOT want to have dinner here. Avoid at all costs for the sake of your own health.
Good food except entrees! 4 stars because of awesome service and good appetizers
We don't come to New Orleans without coming to Vincent's! The food is delicious, and the chef is always willing to make a dish just right for you. (I just ordered the Veal Napoleon, but I don't eat veal so we substituted eggplant--no problem!) The service is always wonderful, and they always make us feel like we're family. The atmosphere of Vincent's captures the atmosphere of New Orleans, and it makes us feel like we're home.
The Lasagna was soo amazing, that I went home and had to slapp my momma.
Nice neighborhood restaurant away from tourist zone. Even encountered a celebrity eating here
Had a reservation but arrived about 15 minutes early. Was seated at the bar and waited about 20 minutes before seated but very friendly atmosphere. Outstanding Italian food, served in a timely manner, large portions and hot! Service is excellent. Hope to return.
Vincent’s is a must if you want Italian food in Nola! 10/10 for real. As a local and Italian myself, it’s my go to. The service is the best too and that’s not an overstatement. Some of the best service I’ve ever had. We had Mark as a server tonight and he was really great! I get the canneloni because it’s one creamy and rich and incredible, but the bisque and champagne chicken are also very very good. Even the butter is fantastic.
The best Italian food we have ever had! Tried the stuffed mushrooms, crab/corn bisque, meatball with garlic bread, shrimp linguini, stuffed chicken, and the crab cakes.Had their house special moscato, everything was absolutely delicious!
Best Italian in the city. Neighborhood Gem. Small and quaint. Great atmosphere. Really good wine list. Highly recommend.
Always a great experience here. A true Italian restaurant, great food and atmosphere, and very accommodating hosts and waiters. We didn't have reservations, and it was packed on Sunday evening, but they treated us as if we were part of the family and were able to seat us quickly and never rushed us. Great place and will consistently go back there.
Excellent food, quiet place, just what you would love expect from a more upscale Italian restaurant. Extensive wine selection, and wait staff is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend to anyone.
Amazing every single time. Not one thing in the menu that isn't perfect. Splurge and have the veal chop!
Love the Veal Parmesan
Food was amazing, service was exemplary, the only downfall was the black mold and water damage of the ceiling tiles. We both loved the blue cheese vinegret salad dressing so much we got some to go for home. I had the lasagna, it was very tasty with a touch of sweet to the sauce. My wife had the chicken carbonara with fettuccine, this was so tasty with a smoky flavor that was so savory, I would have traded if she would have been willing (not a chance). Highly recommend for the food and service, ambience is a little less than preferred.
Great I've been a big fan for years..reminds me of the cozy little spots that USED to be all over the city that are becoming fewer and fewer
Great food. Crazy crowded...
the food & the service were amazing
This was my wife's and my first time here. The food was very good. The service was a little slower than I would have liked but we had an overall good experience. We will be back.
Good food! Friendly staff and very attentive. When you walk in the place it is very tight... they don’t open until to 5PM, but when we got there around 6PM they were already filling up. By the time we left there wasn’t an empty seat. I had the garlic chicken and let me tell you it comes with more than enough garlic and oil. I was a little surprised
A perfect place for a birthday! I celebrated my 50th and both tables to our sides were also celebrating. Brian was knowledgeable about the menu and guided us well.
It was so good! It was the best meal we had during our weekend in New Orleans.
Celebrated my Birthday with my Family!!! Had the best night. Great ambiance! Great food! You can't go wrong choosing Vincent's!!
Excellent food. They treat their long time older customers with a great deal of respect.
Best Italian in NOLA
Tony and his staff are the best. Classic
The food was great and our waiter was nice but there was one of the waiters who acted very inappropriately with the ladies in our party. He was blatantly staring down one girls dress and gave his number to another. He had a bald spot and a bowl cut. It made the whole experience uncomfortable
Always the best ambiance, specials and service. The classic Sinatra and other tunes in background with dim lights take you back in time the food is simply top notch and always consistent. It’s sad that they’re only a handful of these old school NOLA Italian joints left. It really is heartbreaking but Vincent’s keeps it real and for that this Y’at is forever grateful
One of the best experiences I had in New Orleans!!! Wait staff was amazing and super nice!!! I order the cannelloni from the first bite you could tell they used very fresh ingredients definitely going back!
It's not my favorite Italian restaurant but it's definitely good and the uptown location is open on Sundays so that's a plus. It's an older, well established place, so keep that in mind when you go inside. And try not to eat the whole plate of butter.
The food and service are amazing and they also have a party room with a great dj!
Excellent service, and quality of product though the service is better in the evening. The restaurant itself is small with narrow aisles and another large room to the rear of the bar, but the dining area is a carpet floor with a wine case dividing the room so noise is kept at a minimum. Ive ordered take out more than dining in, and the service is just about as equal. Never had a problem with this location in four years. Special thank you to the Chef for cooking the seafood risotto when it wasn't on the menu.
Amazing Italian food in cozy friendly environment. The eggplant appetizer was a big hit for our party of 5. Even the bread with the amazing butter garlic spread had us wanting more. Needless to say, the pasta dishes and lasagna were superb. Would definitely be returning on my next trip to New Orleans.
Food was decent, and service was good. Eating late at night is a bad idea however because the drunk people are also there and were very loud. The tables are very close together so it was quite disruptive. It would have been nice if the staff would have asked the drunks to quiet down or leave but they did not, and it was very obvious that our group was not the only ones irritated by the disruption.
Best Italian food in New Orleans!
Went this past Saturday night for my birthday. Just me and wife. Everything was as perfect as it was our last and first time we went. Even put us at our table. Looking forward to many more date nights with my wife.
Crepe restaurant fabulous food excellent bar good wine selection good wait staff highly recommended Vincent the dirty did that
The good: atmosphere, wine selection, crab and corn chowder. The disappointing: out of two items the table attempted to order including tiramisu which I was looking forward to. The bad: my chicken marsala was raw in the middle. I would go back but with an early reservation and stick to the pasta.
Vincent's has a refined but well-worn feel. The dim lighting and intimate space (it's not a big building) make it a great spot for a dinner date or catching up with an old friend. We had seafood parma, which was absolutely delicious. The servers were attentive and the restroom was clean. Parking wasn't too bad, but be prepared to walk a little.
Everything was great! But no sweet tea? Hmmmmm
Yumminess. Great service.
Fantastic as always.
What a great, family restaurant! Historical but still relevant. Modern versions of classic Italian fare, plenty of good wine and a host who greats everyone like you're family. Heads-up! It gets busy, so make a reservation. Oh, and there's NO PARKING LOT. Just street parking. We were a couple blocks away, but it was definitely worth it!
Great foid, wait staff and ambiance. Will return.
Good but not great.
Always have an amazing experience here. The place checks all the boxes when you want that cozy Italian restaurant.
AWESOME FOOD!!!
The blackened fish is the best here! Great place for Italian cuisine and the service is phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Classic Italian food at reasonable prices. Consistently high quality with great service. Atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. Cocktails are generous pours and they have a nice selection of wines. A very charming place to visit again and again!
What a wonderful, romantic place to share a meal with someone you love! With so many delicious places to eat in this city, many of the "New Orleans classics" are falling off our radars. So glad we visited this place as the food is just as amazing as it has always been. Here are a few recommendations: get the blue cheese dressing on your salad, upgrade to the corn and crabmeat bisque, seafood medallions are rich and so flavorful, and cannelloni is simple but delicious italian meal.
I believe Vincent's is relying on past reputation, they forgot about us after we checked in for our 7:30 reservation. My wife didn't get her wine she ordered with meal but it was on our bill. Waitress didn't apologize until she overheard heard me tell my wife at least say I'm sorry, we all make mistakes. All she said was I'll remove the wine charge from your bill. Our food was average, no where near what we had heard about.
The staff were all excellent. Robert was our server and the manager stopped by and asked us how everything was. Delicious food and great service.
The food here is absolutely amazing! Really nice little place with an attentive and friendly staff. Perfect for a date night or dinner with the family!
This had the potential to be one of our fav spots in NO. However the service or lack thereof, made us very uncomfortable. I ordered the jumbo shrimp. After waiting for a few, we were told they ran out of shrimp. I then ordered the Fresh Fish, then I was told they were out of fish. The waiter suggested the trout, I agreed. It actually turned out ok (could have been better it was hot), but our waiter may have been having an off day. He was not attentive at all. A couple of times my friend asked a question n Mark barely stood still to answer. Or Mark would ask the general, "how was it?", before my friend could answer, Mark had already walked away. Then the check came. We were charged for the jumbo shrimp even though we didn't get it. I left my friend in the place to sort it out. After a 7 minute wait with our uber my friend said that even though he removed the jumbo shrimp, he was still charged for taxes on the shrimp. It just became a weird experience and when we return in a couple of weeks, we'll try a different Italian restaurant.
Awesome food...try to make a reservation...it is needed not to wait...
Popped in for lunch in between meetings at Tulane and it was delicious! Nestled on the corner in a beautiful neighborhood and offers excellent service and must-have garlic bread bites to get you started!
Good food and great service
Man, I love this place. Great neighborhood restaurant. Great atmosphere and Italian food. Price range accommodates just about anyone. Great waitstaff. Highly recommend.
Really amazing food! From the chicken parm to the lasagna it is a must stop when in NOLA.
Every bite was a delight! The "Taste of Vincent's" is so much food! And so delicious. It is a small place with tables very close together.
The best place for a romantic Valentine's day date. Food is excellent. Service is very good. A bit crowded, but the staff does a great job keeping things moving.
Excellent old school Italian place with some amazing dishes and string drinks. The atmosphere is great, could be excellent for date night, and there are a ton of things to choose from the menu!
Great food. Good service. Maybe a bit cramped but it's New Orleans. The front door is directly across from the trolley stop (St. Charles line).
Exquisite dining!!! Fine food, beautiful it I'm ate atmosphere, great service! We did the "taste of Vincents" menu for our 10th anniversary dinner. It was perfection!
My family made a visit to New Orleans for a weekend of food and drink. This was our favorite meal of the trip. Crab cakes were a standout, along with oysters over pasta. It's small and crowded, but that works to make a nice "neighborhood" atmosphere. My only complaint was that the bar couldn't make a negroni because they were out of Campari, which seems out of character for an Italian restaurant. I would happily go back.
Food was very good. Service excellent and atmosphere very nice. Being fom New York there is no shortage of really good Italian places. Vincents can stand along side any of them!
One of the best Italian restaurants in New Orleans. Seafood and traditional Italian with a New Orleans flare. Secure reservations to make sure you get a spot.
From the time we walked in until the time we left service was perfect. Felt at home. Will be back.
Made reservations a week ahead, brought my wife here for Birthday. The spaghetti and meatballs was quite honestly inedible. The meatballs were so hard and burnt, almost broke my teeth biting into them. The tables are so close together that we had to pick up our table and carry it 6 feet JUST TO LEAVE. Very bad experience overall and will steer people away from here.
Wonderful Italian and perfect for a date night. Very wide selection of wine beer and cocktails. Great variety of food for everyone to enjoy. Big lasagna fan
I'm late to writing this review but now that I am I'll have to make a reservation again. The food and service are wonderful! I can't get enough of their pastas!
Reliably satisfying; quite likely with tomorrow's lunch leftover.
Fantastic wine selection, the food was spectacular, and the service was excellent.
This place has great Italian food and hands down the best veal marsala I've ever had! The seafood medallions are top-notch as well and almost more than I could eat. It's probably best to call ahead for a reservation as of this place is always packed. Did your dad
Old style Italian dining with fantastic food and wait staff. Next time we will make reservations
Phenomenal food! Outstanding service! A New Orleans hidden treasure.
Corn and crab bisque. The best there is. Anything pa ne' is delightful. Italian food at its finest.
food was half cooked. eggplant parmesan was not done. sausage and spaghetti was all tomato paste. not good.
Old New Orleans location and great service.
Best cannelloni in town.cozy and comfy and romantic restaurant! Chloe was an excellent waitress!
This was my 2nd Vincent at a different location. Everything was great, The Double Cut Stuffed Pork Chop was Soooo Delicious. It was more than 1 meal itself. The Corn and Crabmeat bisque in the bread bowl appetizer was great also.
Outstanding Italian food. Great service. Greeted warmly by Vincent. Staff were very gracious. Highly recommend this restaurant. Would rate beyond 5 stars if possible!!!
Everything about Vincent's is amazing! Our new favorite!
Terrible, and my wife and I do NOT leave bad reviews. Seriously, we love pub grub and Del Taco Tuesday as much as we love discovering little spots in Rome. First time we've wanted to send something back. Took over an hour for the meal to arrive, over 30 minutes to get a second beer (yup, we timed it at one point. Again, it hurts it came to being Those People; we make fun of pretentious Yelpers!) Pasta was overcooked, soaked in cheapo olive oil, with raw garlic and green onion. Red sauce was worse than Prego, and the salad was fresh outta the fridge. Very pricey. This hurts to write, as we love NOLA and appreciate how much effort and love can go into a family restaurant, but this was shockingly bad food for a great culinary town.
Best in the city for Italian food
I stopped in here for dinner a little while ago with my girlfriend and the food is...good. It's not amazing - it's good Italian food done well but don't expect to be blown away. The bisque was alright and my calamari bordelaise seemed like it was missing something (lemon or red pepper maybe?). My gf enjoyed her veal tagliatelle but the flavor was very dull and heavy at the end. That is to say Vincent's is a fine restaurant. What elevates it to 4 starts for me is the atmosphere. It's small, intimate and dark - facilitating conversation at your table. Our waiter seemed to be generally disinterested in us but the rest of the staff was very friendly. Maybe it was growing up in Brooklyn but when a jovial man named Tony says he's gonna take care of you it makes me perk up. The martini's here are no joke - strong and delicious. I wouldn't recommend Vincent's if you're trying to have the best meal of your life but if you're looking for a quiet date night spot where they'll treat you right then you can do far far worse.
Come to this restaurant if you enjoy traditional Italian cuisine with a New Orleans flair
The food is excellent. The staff could be a little friendlier. There is not a comfortable spot to wait for your table inside - because no matter where you stand or try to sit - you are in someone's way. I definitely recommend it but if you dont like tight quarters - it might not be for you.
Old school Italian place good food good service, we had a great meal, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Sweet place for a romantic dinner...crab cakes are the BEST I'VE EVER HAD
One of the best in town! Love this place!
Absolutely amazing food and service
Great service, excellent food, and top notch atmosphere Will be back
Cozy old school Italian. Great food
Been my favorite restaurant for 30 yrs.
Fabulous service and amazing food
Absolutely a great meal, awesome service and food everything was perfect!
The food and service was excellent
One of the best Italian restaurants.
Nice place. Good food. Red sauce needs a little work.
Good food, but the server wasn't as strong. Forgot to ask our daughter if she wanted parm cheese, wasn't all that focused on the dietary concerns we told him about. Still, pretty good food
Great good amd atmosphere.
This is a MUST for Italian food lovers! The ambiance is absolutely incredible. The food is the greatest and extremely reasonably priced.
Mark was entertaining and all our dishes were excellent!
The wait for our food was ridiculous the table next to us was sat after us and received dessert before we received our food. The waiter was stretched so thin he could barely get to our table when they had an abundance of other staff standing around. My husband ordered one of the veil dishes, for being $30 I was extremely disappointed the meat was extremely thin and overcooked and the plating was horrendous and unappetizing. I ordered the lasagna which was decent and the soup that came with it was excellent. Overall I wont be returning.
Lovely, quaint Italian restaurant nestled uptown. The food is amazing and so is the atmosphere. Don't forget about the metairie location as well.
You just can't beat Vincent's uptown location for excellent Italian style food, great service, and cozy romantic atmosphere. This has been me and my wife's favorite restauraunt since we lived a short 4 block walk from it back in 2009 to now when are a 45 minute drive away. It was just easier staying for a couple more glasses of wine when we could walk.
so i thought they might be a bit snooty when i turned up in shabby vacation clothes but they were very relaxed and welcoming. food is excellent. not cheap but extremely reasonable for the quality. if you only eat out once in NOLA it has to be here
Food was excellent and great representation of Italian American cuisine. The wine list was also extensive and the Stackhouse Cabernet was great. My wife who doesn't drink even enjoyed the glass I ordered for her as well. Wife and I both had the veal and was not disappointed. Service was great. Only gave it 4 stars as the seating was a little cramped. Will come back next time we're in town.
The food and atmosphere at Vincent's is wonderful! Great restaurant for an intimate dinner or dinner with family and friends! You can't go wrong going to Vincent's!
Food was excellent. It is best kept secret in uptown riverbed area.
Great authentic Italian dishes.
I haven't been there in years until today. The decor and music are still the same. Service is pretty good. I felt like i was in a time warp. I'm pretty sure I had leftover salad and lasagna, but it is the Thursday after mardi gras.
As always Vincent's never disappoints. From the warm family like welcome to dessert Vincent's is so so good. Corn and crab bisque is must. The soft shell crab is incredible.
Have been to Vincents many times and have always had a great experience but tonight we sat at the bar and Lisa took care of us. She was awesome , very friendly she let us taste the wine without acting bothered she definitely loves her job. All restaurants should have employees like her . Food was great also
Excellent. Never had a bad meal here
My favorite 'go to' neighborhood restaurant. Best service! Fried artichoke hearts that taste just like the ones in Rome. Amazing!
Food and service is always GREAT!!!!
