This restaurant is in desperate need of new management. Our service was pathetic. We asked multiple employees to bring silver ware as we sat and watched our food get cold for over 10 minutes. Then our waitress brought plastic forks. Thankful that we had a diaper bag so that we could use wet ones since napkins are apparently not available here either. Our waitress asked our table of 4 to give her a few minutes multiple times during our visit and forgot several of our food items.

Usually, I have a plesant experience. Only one particular incident rubbed me the wrong way, just because of inconsistency. The food and atmosphere is great. I have season tickets to LSU's gymnastics events. Whenever an athlete scores a 9.9, TJ ribs compensates ribs for each ticket-a great promotion. On previous occasions, I was able to go to TJ Ribs after the meet, between 9-945, depending on the event time, submit my tickets and receive my ribs to go. To be fair, I was told previously that I would have to dine in-understandable, as this is a way to generate additional business, and I was prepared to do so. 2 weeks ago, after the meet, I arrived around 9:30, went in, presented my tickets. Instead of having me dine in, an employee was about to pack me up, when a manager stopped them and said I had to dine in. I sat at the bar, and ordered a drink, thinking this would be okay, but it was not. I asked my wife and sleeping child to come in, sit, order the ribs, submit my ticket and ask for four to go boxes. Although I didnt spend much time at the table, I still tipped the waitress because now it would be an additional station to clean and she was nice. I've noticed when it is busy, getting the ribs to go isn't an issue. I believe the situation was handled improperly. On this occasion, the manager should have allowed my food to be packed and reiterated that I would have to dine in next time. Yes rules should be followed, but by everyone. From now on, I'll be prepared to sit, order a drink and to go boxes.

The steak was really good but our waitress was not good. She took our order but never came back to check on us. Our steaks were brought out and we never got our salads. We sat there looking at our steaks trying to get our waitresses attention because we had no utensils. We finally managed to get another waitress to get us utensils. After we were almost done our waitress came over so we asked for our ticket. When she brought it back it was wrong but she had already walked off. Had to get the hostess to get our ticket corrected.

I heard the chicken wings were good so I decided to give them a try. I wasn't disappointed at all, I loved them! I also heard their carrot souffle was good so I also got an order of that. I let my 6 year old daughter taste them and I didn't even get them back from her!! I went back a few days later to get another order.

Atmosphere was great, but the food was greasy. I got my usual TJ Ribs BBQ platter & sides were loaded mash potatoes. Greasy, greasy, greasy including the pile of butter that was topped on my mashed potatoes which made it greasy to the point I couldn't eat it. $2 Margarita's were great.

Good barbeque. Prices are not terrible. The mojo potatoes are their signature side and are really good-- the seasoning on them is enough to carry the dish even if you don't decide to dress them. Word of caution: the cole slaw does come with peanuts, but there is no mention of this (that I saw) on the menu. While this does not affect my family, with the prevelance of peanut allergies, I feel like this is something that should be disclosed at ordering.

Picked up a rack of ribs that were charred. Mostly bones, not much meat. Charge $7.90 tip for a meal that was picked up at the counter. The baked potato was old..Totally dissatisfied.

The meal was good. The bbq was good but we've had better. The food did come out quickly, but the service itself was slow. My wife stole our silverware from a nearby table because there was none at ours the dessert we went and found our own to-go boxes. A good meal but not a great meal.

Went here to celebrate my mother's 42 birthday with all of my family, we had a great time and the food was delicious. They give you good portions of food that you'll get full. The carrot souffle was delicious and the Mojo potatoes were amazing. Service was really good as well.

First time at this tj’s, I walked in an a strange smell greeted me when i walked in. This place needs some remodeling, the seats at the table is torn and the back rest is stained and the carpet is well worn. The restroom is nice in comparison. I came in for lunch ordered the today’s special and it comes with a salad 6oz filet and green beans. The salad was good and the filet tasted good but i question the size and quality of meat, the green beans seemed fresh.

Really enjoyed our server, Ivie, as she was very friendly and personable. She also provided excellent candid opinions on any food items in which we had a question. She definitely did not steer us wrong. Highly recommend the carrot soufflé as a side item if you enjoy sweet potatoes (Ivie recommendation). Had the Fulton Street Ribs as the main course thought they had good flavor to them, although wished they had more meat and less bone. Overall the restaurant was a little loud, but the food came out of the kitchen quickly, tasted good, and had good service.

Very busy. Long wait for food. Mom and two boys had entrees only, two waters and a tea and ticket was $75.00. Very strong smoke flavor on the pulled pork. Baby backs are always cooked to perfection. You literally just slip the bone out and eat the meat. Brisket is good. Be sure to indicate whether you want lean or fat brisket, though. The difference is real!

I came with a group of 15....it didn't take long for the host/manager to seat us...Jeff was our server...he provided excellent customer service... From the time we walked in until the end of our visit we experience a good atmosphere, excellent service, and great food...I would recommend anyone to try this place

For the amount of money I spent I was not impressed. Small portions and no love put in the food. Nice on the inside of the restaurant. Asked the manager for a little extra portion on red beans and she declined. I would not waste any money or time there.

It should have been a five, especially because of our server Jim - but the ten minute wait in a mostly empty place just won't allow for that. Full rack of ribs was good, but a little over cooked, portions are too much!!! After the appetizers there was little room for anything else. BTW, that's not a bad thing. Our server really took care of us after a shakey start. Nice cozy atmosphere.

The best steak I've ever eaten is the Baseball Cut Sirloin from TJ Ribs (and this is coming from someone who likes Ruth's Chris filets!). I came for my birthday and had a great time. Dom was a great server, very attentive and friendly, and Becki was just as attentive and came by several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Definitely come by! It's an awesome experience!

Wait staff was better than the food and it wasn't that close. Waitress tried to make things right but the kitchen did not cooperate. I ordered burnt ends sandwich. First looked more like pulled pork. It was stringy, lukewarm, and fatty. Second attempt was thick-sliced brisket with the cap ends completely dry. Switched to chicken sandwich and it was cooked properly. Everyone was friendly and the waitress tried really hard - just an off-day, I hope

I love this place. The food is always hot and fresh open 7 days a week for my BBQ needs. The seafood gumbo is awesome as well. I had the opportunity of speaking with Ava super nice and helpful manager she made me feel like VIP and my ticket was only $12.03 before tip. First! I never leave negative reviews! I’m a positive person and I feed off of energy.. Today was the second time I had a bad experience at the bar with the SAME bartender. She was snobbish and untimely. She really took her time with everything. Her attitude was not inviting and the way she communicate - repeating the same thing she said the exact same way when others kept asking questions was not the personality/character trait a bartender should have. Little does she know I always tip $10 plus depending on how I feel but I’m not in the mood for tipping. (Writing this as I’m sitting at the bar) I thought about not doing this but her manager or someone needs to see this!!

Atmosphere was warm and friendly. Although waitress was busy, she remained courteous, attentive and excited about taking care of our needs making sure the experience was a pleasant one. The food (ribs, sweet potato fries, baked beans) we're off the chain good... the Birthday dessert was lacking but the waitress took care of that as well adding more topping. Truly an enjoyable evening at the Seigen Lane, TJ Ribs. Great job!!!

Food was great but the waiter was bad server, this establishment was out of everything I ordered including ice for my pink lemonade. I usually go to this place for big events such as fights but ms.brittany was very unpleasant to us, we order the same food everytime but the experience was so bad she forgot the ribs we ordered, we didn’t even care we were so ready to go but other than that our food was hot and ready.

Came back here with a good experience in mind from 2yrs ago and was served spoiled chicken (mushy with smell). It was the 1/4 chicken and ribs combo to go. The ribs were fine. Took it back and confirmed that something was indeed wrong with the chicken. A fresh order was made and again!!! the chicken was bad. I understand the reputation this restaurant holds but this is unacceptable. That's it for me.

Food is not as good as it used to be,,,, wait staff is rude. Seems like they send second rate food to their take out order customers, and there is always something they leave out , guess they figure they don't have to listen to complaints. Used to have a wonderful yellow squash casserole, NOW it is nothing but bread crumbs and something yellow that doesn't even resemble squash . Also when you order online the price seems to be different then when you get there to pay,,,, they magically have added costs that online says 'no charge'

the food was way below average. Their chicken is tender and juicy enough to pass, yet their ribs and brisket is dry and hard to consume. How can brisket be as dry and hard as jerky. If I wanted something of dry and hard I could have gotten somewhere else. Overall the service is nice and manager was polite and but as a restaurant/food quality I rather go to McDonalds and that says a lot.

We went to TJ Ribs for dinner last night and certainly had an enjoyable experience, though I wouldn't say it was anything too special. Atmosphere: Laid-back, lots of TVs, great place to go to watch a game while you eat. There was a slightly unpleasant smell when we walked in (maybe bleach)? and that was the first thing we noticed upon entering.

This place used to be good. It sucks now. They lie about baked potatoes. They are boiled in water. Ribs are dry and over priced. Steaks are tough as a nail.Moran would be sad about this place now. All about son making money??

We always get great service at TJ Ribs on Seigen. My wife and I stopped here for dessert and left very satisfied. I ordered the brownie ice cream sandwich and my wife ordered a praline ice cream dessert. Both were delicious and too large to finish. The waiter was friendly and speedy.

Tiny, dry pulled pork sandwich, soupy basic coleslaw with a few peanut pieces for decoration? Seafood omlet (from the brunch menu) without any detectable crab but lots of less than fresh tasting semi cooked shrimp ..... hate to say, but DREADFUL!!! Also had a server with braids so long that they got IN THE FOOD when she brought it to the table. Just not a pleasant taste, treat or experience. (Note the black 1/2 shrimp in the picture. Icky???)

Always good food! I recommend the chicken and ribs combo with squash casserole and red beans and rice. And for dessert, try the brownie... I don't eat ice cream, so I only get the brownie. Oh, and the sweet tea, is perfect! The servers are fun and upbeat. Jess, our server, stayed busy cleaning if she wasn't serving guests! GREAT JOB guys!

Everything was great this evening with the exception of the fried catfish that my daughter ordered which was a little over salted but I had the grilled chicken breast over spinach which was delicious as usual. We were there celebrating my Wife's birthday today and our Server Bianca took great care of us and treated my Wife to a delicious birthday dessert large enough for the four of us to enjoy together. Looking forward to our next visit to TJ Ribs.
