Very unique experience. Rather than ordering our going to a buffet bar, the servers run around with freshly cooked meat and offer you pieces. Food was great but very expensive (3 people ended up being over $150) so I would probably only go back for special occasions.

Want to go all out and eat fancy? Well this is the place for you! Texas de Brazil is certainly one of the most fancies restaurant in town. The decor is simply beautiful with eye popping colors and exotic floral arrangements. The bar and waiting area is trendy and eccentric. The buffet is filled with amazing dishes from so many different cultures.

We went to Texas de Brazil on 4/21 for my husbands birthday. This was our first time going and let me tell you it will not be our last! the presentation of everything was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and very attentive, the salad bar was HUGE and Delicious with so may selection. The lobster bisque very very good. Then bring on all the meats. They were fantastic and the fact that they kept coming around and around was even better. This is a FANTASTIC restaurant and we cannot wait to go back!

OMG!! The food just kept coming. The meats are prepared to perfection; very tender. Also the salad bar is the best. You can make any type of salad you wish to eat. Sushi is also available. The staff is pretty good. I found the lobster bisque soup the best (but that’s my personal preference). For large groups make a reservation to avoid long wait times.

Be prepared to eat. I left so stuffed and I wasn't planning on it. The service is unique and won't let you down. I really loved there beef ribs. My wife was all a fuss over the bacon wrapped filet mignon. And the kicker is they keep feeding you. For the price, the food quality, and quality of service are unrivaled in my experience. I'd recommend anyone to experience it once. I'm for sure going back for seconds. Crazy part is that it's not a buffet in the traditional since. 5 stars easily.

So many types of meats, so little room to store it. Seriously, I enjoyed the selection they had. Out of what I had the lamb was my least favorite. I'd try it again though. My favorite was the picanha. They have a good selection of desserts. I had the cheesecake. It was too sweet, but most restaurant cheesecakes are too sweet. A little less sugar would have been perfect. The real negative of this restaurant is the salad bar. It isn't even worth going to. Even if it the salad bar was good, it was not presentable. My advice, stick with the meat brought to your table.

As a repeat customer, we usually have a fantastic experience. Today was a bit different. Our waiter was excellent but the meat servers were sparse and hard to get to come to the table. After 30 plus minutes we had to speak with the manager before my husband received any meat. A bit disappointing.

It's a Brazilian steakhouse… the food is always good, you can eat till you're full, and they have a little bit of everything. The lamb is good, the steak is great, the chicken is good, the lobster bisque is really good and on the cold bar they have everything you could think of cheeses, peppers, bacon pieces and they have a chilled smoked salmon. Never had a bad experience. It is a little pricey.

This is one of the best steak places I've ever been to. This is a restaurant where you get your plate and have a salad bar with all types of salads and other things, once you sit down there are waiters that walk around with different types of meats and you can have as much as you like. There are tons of meats to choose from with different cooking types. There's also a few chicken options and sausage also. A delicious place to have all the meat you like.

Texas De Brazil is like nothing else you've experienced. The service is the best ever. I would say the food is outstanding but that's just not a strong enough word to describe just how great it is. If you don't meet your protein quota for the day, blame yourself!

This place is amazing! The food is amazing and so is the staff. It's expensive (in my opinion) but justifiably. It's essentially a steak buffet. I love that the bread they offer is made with tapioca because I don't eat wheat. It's a place for special events like birthdays or anniversary's. If there's ever an issue, the managers are more than willing to accommodate and fix. I remember the first time going, one manager came to our table to go through their menu with me to let me know what did and did not have wheat in it. Phenomenal.

Excellent all-you-can-eat Brazilian meat house. Salad bar is included with the meal and is an impressive spread. The meat servers were a little slow - we had to ask our waiter on multiple occasions to send someone over, and then still had to flag them down. The meat was good - most was medium rare, but occasionally too cooked or cold. Good selection (lamb, filet, chicken, sausage, pork). Noisy interior.

This is the second time my wife and I have dined at a Texas de Brazil, but our first for the Baton Rouge location. It was a great experience overall and well worth the price. The meats were outstanding and full of flavor. Our waiter, Michael, went above and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of. We will definitely be revisiting this location sometime in the near future

Best restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The atmosphere was beautiful and elegant but yet casual enough that people were having great conversation and laughing and having a great time. Everything was so well taken care of and so clean. Beautiful decor and very spacious room and very much space. Beautiful dining tables and settings. The food was absolutely amazing. I have never had anything so good in my entire life! Everything was cooked to perfection. The right combination of cheeses from the salad bar along with the different types of meat was so amazing! The waiter and the rest of the staff were so professional and courteous and generous with every part of our dinner. We had an amazing experience and I would recommend to everyone to go there and experience for yourself.

If you are hungry and want some really good food that never stops. This is the place. You will find steak, lamb, chicken, and an amazing salad bar to start you off. Just make sure that you have your sign on green to keep the food coming and make sure you turn it over or they will keep pilling on the food. Food is amazing and service is top notch. Love this place for a date, gatherings, and events. It is pretty authentic Brazilian food as well. My next door neighbor is from Brazil and says that it comes very close. Make reservations and have fun!

I'm giving it a 5 star because it was very nice, the staff is super friendly, the only downside for me is that I am not a big meat eater. I was invited by some friend's. If you love meat, then this is your place to go! I tried a bite of everything, and it was all very very tasty! I probably won't return only because it's not exactly my style, but it is very much worth the 5 stars I gave it! Thank you Texas de Brazil, I had a fantastic experience!

While it is an interesting experience. The way the food comes out randomly is a little frustrating. Especially if you're looking for a specific type of meat. This creates gaps in eating. Hopefully you have good company and just talk while waiting in between serving

My husband brought me for my birthday dinner. Great salad bar, great steaks, and really good chocolate cake. We told our waiter in the very beginning that we preferred medium instead of medium rare. He said he would make sure we got medium, we never really did. So it was a little upsetting because it was my birthday dinner and I felt like I had to hunt for my food by asking every person that walked by if they had medium steaks. Our water glasses were never full, I was thirsty pretty much the whole dinner. I even asked a busboy to come over and give us some water because our waiter never really came back to check on us. I know sometimes waiters get busy, but I really do hate when I’m literally chewing on ice cubes because my glass has been empty far too long.

We've been going to TdB for at least 4 years. Food and service have always been great BUT last night with fewer patrons service was poor. Meat servers were fewer and meat was not rare or medium as we were told. Frequently dry. Server of drinks and tab would disappear leaving us parched Hope this was an unusual experience and not an indication of future.

One of my favorites!! I'm not a huge meat eater, but I definitely like the meats here. So juicy and flavorful. If you aren't a meat fanatic, their salad area is full of soup, potatoes, and fresh veggies. Its can be pricy depending on when you go, but definitely worth it.

Fun but expensive date night. Enjoy unlimited meats and salad bar. (Or just get only the salad bar, but I've done this option and don't really recommend it.) They do have A1 sauce if you ask for it. I find my meat often needs something and the other limited sauces on the salad bar aren't enough for me.

The salad bar was ok, that’s why this place gets a 2. Very slow service. It was at least 20 minutes in between each “helping” of meat. By helping I mean a sliver of cold scrap from some meat on a stick. After siting for 2.5 hours finally gave up, paid our $50 a person bill and went to Taco Bell.

Tonight was my 2 year anniversary. We decided to try something new and splurge a little. We were amazed at the quality of, not only the meat served, but also the salad and cheese bar, the service, the atmosphere, and dessert! Our server was extremely pleasant and polite. Everything was clean. The food was extremely good. I tried everything except the lamb, and although some of the meats were a little rare for my personal taste, they still tasted amazing. By far the best salad/cheese bar I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. And the chocolate mouse cake was delicious. We will definitely be going back! Thank you for such a great experience!

On 6/18/2019 My initial encounter was unpleasant. The young lady that checked me in for my reservation was not pleasant. She attempted to seat my guess and I a little table, where sun light projected over it, near a walk way, (as far away from everyone as possible). I asked for a different table, and instantly felt her attitude. She said, “Walk back to the desk with me”. So my guess and I did. I honestly thought about just leaving, but I really wanted to enjoy the restaurant. So, the young lady seated us to a better table, and as soon as I sat down she grabbed my napkin and threw it at my lap , her facial expression appeared as if she was disgusted with me. As my guess sat down, she did the exact same thing to him. At this point, I felt that I had to speak out on this. Our waiter greeted us, he was awesome! I think his name was Ben? I did express my concern and experience with him. He instantly apologized and informed me that he will tell the manager. Throughout our dinning, the service was exceptional! Our waiter was absolutely awesome!!!! The manager did speak with us, and also apologized. I really appreciated the managers professionalism and taking the time to listen. I am a full time nurse, and understand the importance of courtesy and respect. I just couldn’t understand why that young lady was so rude. I am glad that I dined here, our waiter really made our visit well worth it. The manager even blessed us with a free dessert! ( it was so so yummy). Would I return, yes, but I hope that young lady at the front counter won’t be there when I do, she treated me as tho she had hate in her heart.

Food was pretty good. Prices competitive with other Brazilian Steakhouses. Meat selection was vast other selections left room for improvement asked to order a selection from the takeout menu (because I was under the weather but celebrating friend’s birthday) never given a menu which left me paying for a meal that I couldn’t really enjoy but hey my Riesling was good. It took a long time to order and receive drinks from the bar. Environment trendy and upbeat. Restaurant was very crowded and at times it took a while for meal service. Server was friendly. Hostesses lacked some warmth.

Went here a few days ago to take a friend for her birthday. This place is great! The food is very good and just the salad bar alone is worth the visit! We chose to go with the entire meal experience. There are servers that frequently come by with offerings of meats fresh off the Brazilian grill for you to to try with your preferred pairings from the salad / food bar filled with lots of great choices! Some of the choices were filet mignon, various steak cuts, in house sausage, chicken preparations, pork preparations and more. We managed to try most of the meat selections but we were too full to try all of them. However, all that we had option to try were delicious! The setting is nice and great for couples seeking a nice evening out for dinner or a group event with friends. The hostess / greeter seemed to be a bit preoccupied and a bit nonchalant. The waiter we had was okay although we continuously had to request he remove plates from the table to allow room to eat. We were a party of 3. When ordering several different bottles of wine the waiter didn't think to offer someone check the wine prior to pouring. When changing wines throughout the courses he didn't offer new glasses so we had to ask. Our bill with three full meal selections which includes the salad bar and our preferred wine selections (3 different bottles) came in just under $400 with an additional amount of 15% tip instead of 20% due to waiter's need for better training / service etiquette. (gratuity was not added it is left to the patron to decide) If there hadn't been a need for better waiter service I would have given a full 5 star rating. Over all the food was great and we will be going again! Highly recommended to those that enjoy Brazilian Grilled meats! Just a heads up......avoid eating lunch if going here for dinner as you most likely will not have room to try all of the meat selections!

The food was excellent as always. This is the second time we have gone to this location. At a few Brazilian steak houses we have gone to we have noticed that the meat is sometimes a little salty. This is not the case here. The salad bar was good and we enjoyed the selections of meat that were presented to us. Additionally the meats were cooked as we had requested. We will return again.

Waiter was great, he came back to check on us often and asked if there was a specific type of meat we'd like more often. Most of our group requested medium to well done and request was granted quickly. Double margaritas were expensive though, my sister ordered 2 and her bill for the drinks alone was almost $40.

Wow great food great service. Price-wise it's slightly more upscale but the food more than matches the price. Besides just the constant flow of me the salad bar and hot bar all contain outstanding food. Been there several times and they have never ran out of anything. Bar constantly restocked and server on point. Definitely recommend for any special occasion or just a date night out on the town.

Fun night. Some of the cuts had a little more gristle than on previous occasions, but for the most part they did not. Not a good value for kids, but for adults who love meat, it's the best in town. The salad bar is even pretty good. The pickled spicy shrimp were my least favorite. One adult, and six kids was right over $350.00 with no alcohol.

This is my first time going here. My girlfriend brought me for my birthday. The restaurant was nice, our waitress was nice and we had very little time before we were seated. We were sat next to a group of four who was so loud that it really took away from my experience though. The food tasted good and I enjoyed everything I ate. Unfortunately we live an hour away and before I could even get to my house I was extremely sick. I was on the toilet half the night and vomiting. I've never been this sick from eating somewhere. That is why I have to give a 1 star. It is now the morning after and my stomach is still not right. I just talk to girlfriend and she has been going through same thing. Only other thing I would have to complain about would be a bottle of wine that we bought which is normally cost about $90 at any store we go to and just over a hundred at any restaurant. When we received the bill they charge us $175 for that wine(our fault because we didn't ask... But we also buy this wine quite often). I'm all about a place making money but that seems a little ridiculous to me. I guess all in all we spent 313.00 for 2 people before the tip to be sick all night. Thanks for the response but there are over 250 types of food poisoning.... You can start to feel the effect within the first hour up to 3 weeks. I didn't eat much else that day as I knew I was going there to eat a lot. I was also not the only one that got sick my girlfriend did as well and we ate all the same meats. I also eat alot of salt on my food so doubt that was it. After reading the reviews it appears that a few other people have gotten sick as well in last few months. I wish y'all well but as for me I'm not willing to take that chance again.

amazing experience! flavor of the food is top notch. the wait staff is both accommodating and pleasant. the meat skewers make your mouth water. it's a little hectic with so many people walking around but it's not as noisy as it could be. would absolutely recommend and it was worth the hour drive there and back. you have to go at least once.

I have been wanting to come and try this for years now. Finally I got to experience it! Everything was spectacular. The house top sirloin, the bacon wrapped filet, the parmesan crusted pork. All. So. Good. There was no shortage of wait staff which means you're constantly getting attention. I cannot wait to go again.

The server was extremely inattentive. She serviced the other tables and even turned her head to not look at our table as she passed by. We had to request mashed potatoes and bananas. And even that was brought by someone else because she never came with it. We waited over 30min for our check and still that was brought by someone else as well. This was a date without the kids, so we wanted to make the best of it. Our experience at Texas de Brazil was amazing. This was our first time going and all of the stories that we heard were 100% on point. We had great service all around, and our server Reagan S. was awesome. I did go expecting to pay over $100+ for everything, but realizing that the lunch is around $70 per couple, was such a surprise. That was a plus, so we will definitely be back. Overall our experience was top notch and the endless food made my stomach Joyful. We recommend that if you have a chance to go, take advantage of that moment. Trust, you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Very disappointed. My boyfriend and I came here to eat for my birthday last night. The hostess guaranteed us a table and we were happy to wait since we did not have a reservation. I never received a text for our table or even an apology letting me know we would not be seated. I understand they were busy, but communicating with guests is an imperative.

I went there once before and enjoyed the food. But, its been years since then. However, it's restaurant week right now in Baton Rouge so me and a friend decided to take advantage of the promotion and celebrate my birthday there yesterday. We were pretty excited all day at the thought of it and ate lightly to save room for an epic dinner. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 5:30 pm we were told that anyone without a reservation is currently being seated only if there is a cancellation or a no show but, that anyone without a reservation is also guaranteed a table. Whaaa...? And when when I asked what kind of wait time we could expect, the hostess said she had absolutely no idea. Reservations are not required at this restaurant. And it never occurred to us that we would need to make a reservation for two people at a buffet restaurant at 530 pm on a weekday. We were pretty frustrated to have driven across Baton Rouge in rush hour traffic just to get the cryptic response that we did and feel that we might very well be waiting until 9 pm for a table. I get that you might be busier for restaurant week. But, just calm down and follow the example of every restaurant since the dawn of time - have your hostesses make a wait list and give people a decent estimate of how long they can expect to wait for a table. That's it. Maybe then less of them will end up at Sullivan's (instead of your place) toasting and swearing over happy hour martini's that they will never try your restaurant again.

As far as first experiences go, it was okay. Very nice restaurant and very pleasant staff. The food however, was not worth the $130. For the amount spent, I would’ve preferred Ruth Chris or another well known steak house. As advertised, the restaurant showcases multiple different meat selections. Sadly though, most of the “house specials” were tender, but flavorless. The rear sirloin had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. After all of the wonderful things we heard about this restaurant, it was a terrible let down. My girlfriend and I exited the restaurant amazed that we spent $130 for a meal that had less flavor then Applebees. The most appetizing part were the desserts. As said earlier, it was our first time inside of the restaurant, but will also be our last.

Texas de Brazil is one of the “classier” places to eat in Baton Rouge. While the customary $50 per person all you can eat concept is pretty pricey the time old saying “you get what you pay for” certainly applies. The buffet is of premium quality full of various; meats, cheeses, vegetables and cold and warm dishes. That is, of course, before the main courses even start being served. The staff presents you with a little coaster like object that you can flip between green and red sides indicating if you want meat to be brought to you or not. Since each guest has their own coaster you can easily take a break while other members of your party munch on. From pork rib to bacon wrapped chicken to various cuts of steaks and shrimp there’s almost guaranteed to be something for everyone. All cuts of meat come on massive skewers and small slices are cut for you upon request. The cuts are generally medium well but well done can also be accommodated. All in all, it is a classy restaurant with a great selection of food that is vegan friendly but definitely more suited for the carnivores. The interior is nicely done and a large selection of wines compliments the quality of food they serve exceedingly well.

This restaurant is horrible, and service unacceptable. 1.5 hour wait turned into no table for 2.5 hours and counting. We left without ever being seated. Hosts were rude and provided no updates. While we waited, had to deal with awful smell in the lobby and bar area.

We had reservations for 6:00 p.m., party of 2. We arrived a few minutes before 6:00 and had about a 10 minute wait. We were seated, our waiter took our drink order. We went to the salad bar, ate our salad then we waited. My dinner partner eats his meat a little less well done than I do so he began eating before me...after about 10 to 15 minutes I finally asked for the manager since our waiter hadn't returned to our table. I asked him why weren't the gouchos coming around with meat cooked a medium well, so he asked just what I was wanting and I told him. I was then bombarded with the gouchos coming around. Then again nothing, we eat here at least 8 times a year since it's a 1 1/2 hour drive for us..The meat when it did come was tasty, but I was very disappointed in the service tonight.
