Great food, good service, but the NOISE was unbearable. For the better part of a year, this has been a chief complaint. Time to do something before patrons decide it's just not worth the unrelenting onslaught of what feels like yelling. Seriously terrific food, though!

Went for an early midweek dinner. The waitress was very helpful. Started with the poke and it was delicious. Also had the noodles with pork. Had at least half my pork and noodles for left overs. Nice bowls they use to pack left overs. Great broth and loved everything in it. Plan on going back with another friend for lunch in 2 weeks. I would definately recommend Soji. Very unique food.

Heard about this newer restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Super fun, trendy little place. My friend and I went for lunch and sat at the sushi bar. Staff was friendly and helpful. One of the sushi chefs helped walk us through the menu to decide on what we wanted to try. We liked our meals and I already made a reservation for dinner soon! My favorite thing on my plate was the crab fat rice; definitely try it!

What an amazing, wonderful place. The drinks where interesting and delightful. Got the smoke signal and it was deliciously tastey with a smoked piece of rosemary on the rim. We got the Haley's Paradise roll and the poke bowl with the freshest off the boat tuna I've ever had. The prices were not expensive. You must try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

I ordered the poke and my husband ordered the butter chicken. Both were not good. My poke had too much sweet sauce and overwhelmed the salmon. My husband didn’t enjoy his dish either. The bread was stale too. Pretty disappointed considering it had good reviews. The design and concept is very cute and modern though. Makes a good hangout spot.

The design is really modern and upbeat, many diffetent types of seating area you can select from. I got the rice dish with pork katsu and crab fat. The crab fat and the sauce made it an amazing fried rice dish, i think this is the first time i see crab fat used in this way. The place is pretty new with a good menu selection. Will definitely come bacl to try other dishes

The food and service were great, although I would not recommend this restaurant until the noise issues are fixed. Conversation was almost impossible without screaming. There is easy ways to remedy this problem which I hope they will soon consider (acoustic panels).

This was my second time to eat at Soji. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, again. The friendliness of the staff is great, the presentation of the food is beautiful, and the food itself is remarkable. I would recommend anyone and everyone here!!!!

Overall, really happy to have Soji pop up on the Baton Rouge restaurant scene, but there are a few kinks to work out. Food was mostly good, but nothing blew us away. The dumplings had way too much rice wine vinegar which made them super tart. Fried rice was alright. The Drunken Noodles were a favorite, however! The vibe of the restaurant could use a bit of work — the main dining room has an unfinished feel to it, and there was no music playing, which always makes for an awkward experience. That may have been due to the overall acoustics issues, though, because we had trouble hearing each other for most of dinner. Service was overall great. Really hope this place does well!

My wife and I were there last night after a strong culinary adventure in New York last week. I was excited about getting back for this reservation. We had 4 small plates and 6 entrees and could not have been any happier. The dumplings were by far the best I’ve had and I travel for food. The Drunken Noodles were insanely good and made me wish I would have ordered at least two for the table. The presentation of the fish was great and a fun dish to have on the table. Everything we had was great!

Ok. We liked the atmosphere. We liked the service. We enjoyed the small plate dish, Korean ribs. However when the main entres came out, we were underwhelmed. The fish in cerviche barely had any fish and quite salty. The general tsoji's chicken was quite salty as well. We had to order a bowl of white rice to counterbalance the saltiness. We really wanted to like this place, but sadly it was quite disappointing.

Soji.... where do I start? Food was mediocre at best. My server Jessica was innatentive and rude. I had to ask for refills everytime my cup was empty and I recieved an attitude back from her. It took her about 10 minutes to refill my drink every time. Sushi bar guy with long curly hair ignored my questions about fish among other things.

My first visit was a bit overwhelming, simply because I wanted to try the entire menu. Between the rolls, the hot and cold plates, the noodle selection, and variety of cocktails and sake, I didn't know where to start. My date and I split everything and only sent back empty plates. Service and food were great. I plan to return soon.

I loved this place. The food was delicious. Everyone, in a party of 7, was happy with their food, service, ambiance. It's a great place that my girl and I intend to visit again. The decor is modern and natural feeling. The bar area in the front is very clean and comfortable. The bartender made excellent drinks and, same as our table waiter, was very friendly and professional. Absolutely recommend this place.

The tonkotsu was really bad. The noodles were hard (most emphasis on this) and the broth and beef was flavorless. Also charging for a side of siracha sauce is kinda absurd. Next time I'll bring my own bottle to flavor the poor taste

DEAFENING volume levels in the evening. Between the loud music and the roar of the other patrons' voices, we could not hear the waiter or each other, and some of our group are in their twenties with great hearing! Food was undeniably tasty, and a reasonable value. Particularly enjoyed the wagyu dumplings and pork tenderloin.

The small plates we got seemed overpriced. $12 for 5 bite sized dumplings that were rather mediocre. The butter chicken I got was pretty good. Overall the food was good but the value is lacking in some of the dishes. Friendly staff overall.

I've been to Soji three times and each time it has been fantastic. Everything I've tried has had a tremendous and unique flavor. I've never had noodles like this and the sushi is the best I've had in Baton Rouge by far. The staff is super friendly and the owner is a top notch guy (and a beast on the drums!). Atmosphere is high energy, fun and also unique for Baton Rouge. I can't wait to go back!

Such a great place with multiple Asian ethnicities available. Their staple dish, ramen, is absolutely delicious. I had the chicken ramen, but get it with the butter bomb that has extra spices and a miso addition. I can't attest for the pork rsmens bc I don't like pork, but my company said it was very complex and the best they've ever had. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. There are other options such as butter chicken, sweet and spicy chicken and rice and sushi.

My new favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. My personal favorite is the ramen which is absolutely fantastic. Me and my wife have sampled 90 percent of the menu and have not had a single negative experience. The food is always fresh and taste phenomenal and the staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and patient enough to answer any questions you mave have about the exotic menu. My only not so postive feedback is the water glassess are really small which is a very minor complaint.

The food was delicious, the ambiance was delightful and our sever was excellent. Unfortunately, when my friend and I left the restaurant we forgot to pick up our to go bag. I returned forty minutes later only to be told by the young lady stationed at the front podium that it had been thrown away. I was given permission to go to the back and check. Our conscientious server had set our food aside just in case we returned. Before exiting the restaurant. I informed the young lady at the front. I was not pleased that she had not properly checked or that I had been given false information. This is why my review was only 4 stars.

So I described in GREAT detail to the waiter that I am very much plant based. I came here excited for something new because I don't get to eat out a lot because of that... the waiter didn't pay any attention after he noticed my friend (whom he had met before) or he didn't care because not only was my "vegan" plate cooked in meat, it came out with A FRIED EGG ON TOP after I specifically asked for no egg. They scraped it off and brought it back to me. There was egg in the rice I ordered unbeknownst to me. So... my boyfriend and I got really damn sick. Management was quick to solve the problem and for that I am thankful but it is a real shame that restaurants who claim to cater to a vegans needs, don't even understand what veganism is.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype by social media.. The brisket ramen did not have much flavor, the wings had flavor but all skin and no meat, and the poke and sushi rolls were average at best. The beat part was the mix drinks.. Won't be returning due to better tasting food at lower prices across Baton Rouge.

Soji has a great staff and the place has a good energy. The food is solid. You will definitely get the umami flavor here. Pictured below is the beef ramen and the drunken noodles with a sunny duck egg. The spot is definitely cool, the bathrooms are selfie heaven, but be prepared to yell over the noise to speak. It’s a great place to go with a big group.

I was disappointed given all the hype. We were seated at the noodle bar, but the surface hadn't been wiped with a clean cloth. Turned off by the clean unwrapped chopstick being threaded through used paper menus. The person assembling the desserts was not wearing gloves and was handling the items with his hands. The pho was decent, but not the best I have had in this city.

I freakin love this place. I wanna try everything on their menu. Great for a girls night or date night. Ive always sat at the bar and they have the best bartenders. The drunken noodles is amazing. The tempura cauliflower was one of the best things I've ever tried. Their swanky atmosphere makes you feel like youre in a more sophisticated city than Baton Rouge. We also tried their summer cocktail menu and are really happy with it! One of those places that we wanna go back to again and again

Best restaurant in Baton Rouge, and it's not even close. The owner, Ryan Andre, is a genius and the power behind the early City Pork's success. Again, it's not close, J Alexander's, Flemings, City Pork, no one comes close to Soji. As with the early City Pork, the difference is that here there's an authentic love of food that goes beyond mere money making. You must go.

One of the best restaurant experiences Baton Rouge has to offer. Chase greeted us at the entrance and the staff made us feel super welcome. They helped us figure out what we wanted to try with great detail Ended up with the Pan Fried Cauliflower and Szechuan Wings as our appetizers. Then we went with the drunken noodles as our entree. Everything was spectacular. Full of unique and diverse flavors. Soji will become an institution in Baton Rouge.

Simply delicious. Don't skip the original cocktails and the dumpling appetizer. The beef tartare is delicious if you're a little adventurous. Very friendly staff is happy to talk you through the menu to familiarize you with some of the less common items. Soji's Asian fusion offerings fill a culinary gap in the BR food scene in a very tasty way.

What a hidden gem! This is arguably the best Asian fusion restaurant in south Louisiana! Parking here is at a premium and for good reason: the food and drinks here are THAT GOOD!! Everything is fresh and delivered to your table piping hot. The wait staff is very attentive and courteous. Do yourself a favor and make reservations, and, if you have a large enough party, either carpool or take Uber or Lyft. Guarantee you will love this place!

It's all the rage in Mid City right now and is totally worth checking out. Plan to book reservations far out while they are new. The food quality is great and the atmosphere is perfect. The only issue was limited parking, so try to carpool if you are meeting people.

All of the food is so good! The wagyu steak is tender, and the drinks are so creative. We also got the drunken noodles. The noodles were unlike any other I've had before. The atmosphere is awesome.
