Fast and Friendly Service. Ordered steak and baked potato, both were good. Potato could've used a little more topping to my liking. Salad was delicious. Ordered Smoked platter which was mostly good but the ribs were a bit small and overly charred. Will be visiting again soon.

Well first of all the atmosphere is great. It just feels like a good barbecue joint. Secondly the smell was awesome it was clean the music was good and the staff was really great. Our server Bailey was pretty cool chick. she chatted us up about the restaurant told us about the menu was right on point with everything we needed and we just couldn't have asked for a better server. I even let her pick my food out for me and not tell me what it was till she brought it out. Pretty good food really awesome food.

My mom and I decided to give Salty Joe's a try one the way from Texas to Georgia. The meat flavor was as good as any I had back home (Texas). Sauces were both too sweet but still tasted good.

Great environment, VERY friendly staff. Soft drinks always taste fresh (I hate going to a restaurant and being able to taste the fact that their lines are rarely cleaned). I'm a stickler for brisket, so I get it everytime. Very tender, plentiful portions and good sides. The kids always have a good time with the garden decor (converted school bus). You can show up in your jeans or your Sunday best and not feel out of place. Did I mention a great environment?

Not easy to get to from the interstate. Good food. No baby back ribs. Good service. Nice atmosphere. I would visit again if in the area. A bit pricy. I had wet ribs, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, cole slaw and one abita beer. Two sides came with the rib plate. The other two sides were small and costed $3.50 each which I think is pricy. Total bill was $30. The food was actually enough for two people to share.

I'm a regular customer here that enjoys my food everytime. But , I hate the customer service on the call in orders, They place you on hold for 10-15 mis., Then, When they come back to the phone, They repeat your order three more times, Like their understanding in bad! I wish the training of customer service on the phone is extended so the employees will better service their customers! I really want to be happy with everything dealing with this restaurant so I won't have to write reviews like this one!

The food taste is great. Great atmosphere BUT.... the value is just not there. I had the pulled pork sandwich and the taste was great but the amount you get is very little for what you’re paying. Been there 3 times and with every plate I’ve order I’m always disappointed with the amount of food you get. Somebody needs to look into either changing prices or more food. Hopefully it will change.

Very unique and fun atmosphere. The food was excellent. Music was too loud (it wasn't a live band - just piped in stuff on their overhead speakers) and I couldn't hear the conversation at my own table). The waitress was accommodating and turned it down which was impressive. Next time I'm in Hammond, i'll be back.

Definitely a welcome addition to the Hammond restaurant scene. The bbq was quality, great sides and surprisingly for a bbq place, offers healthy options (salads, grilled veggies side and cheese broccoli isn’t terrible)! We all enjoyed the food (ribs and brisket were solid) and the street corn appetizer is really good. And a good kids menu. And the most exciting part - the fantastic atmosphere and decor. The patio was great for families. Our kids loved wandering around the fountains.

Service is great. We have dined here numerous times. Pork belly, my favorite and go to today was over salted, over sauced, and dried out. Baked potato loaded was also heavily salted with something. The fries were beautiful but again over salted. Purchased 5 lbs of brisket for a party and it looked like pulled beef or pork, didnt resemble brisket and was doused with sweet BBQ sauce even though I ordered brisket with NO sauce. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the servers are prompt and friendly. I'll never go back.

The atmosphere is great. We ordered the cheese dip for an appetizer and never got it. We finally had to tell our server to forget it and bring our food, because they were holding our food until the dip came out...it was about 45 minutes. When my wife and I ordered a drink to pass the time the CO2 was not working for the draft beer so we had to wait for that. The ribs weren't bad however the pulled pork lived up to the restaurant's name..."salty" the server was kind and we could tell it wasnt her fault but still put a damper on the night.

Really nice atmosphere. Loved the unique little chip-like things they give you to snack on while you look at the menu. Unfortunately, I didn't find the food to be anything special. I sampled the pork belly burger, the brisket burger, and the ribs. Wasn't horrible but wasn't anything I'd want to eat again.

This was a very unique place. Loved the atmosphere! We had the pork quesadillas and brisket tacos. Quite tasty, with only one little bit of criticism, we're from Memphis and LOVE the stong Smoky taste, so we did missed that a little, but all in all nice meal! The smoked meat has really good flavor, but would prefer a BBQ sauce that wasn't as sweet. They offer 2 different styles, sweet and regular. But they taste the same. Would definitely go back for the meat and service.

Good menu. I was able to modify some tacos to a vegetarian entree. Wonderful decor. Friendly waiter but not exactly on top of his game. The first bathroom was unisex and the sink was out of order. The staff sink I was redirected to was dirty, as was the second bathroom. I would absolutely try this place again.

The atmosphere is interesting, distressed to look old with imaginative features. The service was friendly, homey and efficient. They offered a respectable selection of beers on tap as well as some inviting specialty cocktails. Food was the weak element for us. We found nothing noteworthy in the ribs or brisket and the nacho appetizer was such a mess that it was difficult to eat as finger food. Some of my party resorted to forks which kinda misses the point. Nothing much here to keep us coming back.

I had the BBQ plate with brisket, ribs and chicken. The brisket was heavenly, the ribs were too. The chicken had a spice on it that wasn't my favorite but the meat was nice and juicy. I adore their broccoli and cheese. The cheese sauce is like queso. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I will definitely go back to try out more items.

I have eaten at salty joes several times and well continue to return. The atmosphere is great, wait staff has always been very good, and the food consistant. My only comment is the pulled pork, which is one of my favorite meals, is very salty. Not sure if the brine is too salty or if they don't rinse it well enough but if they change that it would be excellent.

We wouldn't normally drive 45+ miles to eat out, but Salty Joe's is worth it. Our visit was top-notch, with good live music, and excellent service. Oh, the BBQ... Smoke, season, so tender.... I can testify to the ribs and brisket, will have to try chicken next time. Prices are reasonable, and plenty of parking. We'll be back!

First time at Salty Joe's BBQ. Service was very good as was the food. I had BBQ sandwich which included pulled pork, brisket, cheddar and jalapenos which was flavored well. The bun was grilled (good) but the serving of pulled pork and brisket was minimal, only filling about half the bun with no height I would estimate 2 to 3 ounces of meat. My wife had a smoking burger which was very tasty.

It was fine. BBQ was good. I had the pulled pork sandwich with jalapenos. Jalapenos were so mild I only tasted a hint of spice in 2 bites of my sandwich. Their sauces were okay but I've had better. Service was good. If I'm in the area, I wouldn't mind visiting again. My wife liked her plate a little better and might have given 4 stars

This is one of the best hidden gems and all of Hammond Louisiana the food is really good the prices are excellent I usually get really good service here but on December 28th our waitress was a little preoccupied and didn't come to our table much. We didn't have any extra napkins are drink refills. But this is not the normal at this wonderful location. So I'm just going to talk it up to that they were overly busy maybe. they had a band playing there which was really good they were really into the crowd and the crowd was really into them. I had the pulled pork which was so good and my boys had a hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich and both of them ate every bit of it. We look forward to going back to be beautifully designed Salty Joe's. As you can see by my pictures it's designed as well as anything at Disney World or any other theme park. The attention to detail at the bus bar was unbelievable. They really went out of their way to make it feel like something that was at Disney World. Please make a point to go by and taste the best barbecue in the Hammond area.

Tonight when we went the service was really slow. the manager came over and offered to give us our appetizers for free. Also, when we left he also gave us a $20 gift card to come back. Got told from waitress i was too picky when ordering cheese dip with pork, Food was overpriced, i got 6 shrimp with my grilled shrimp plate and 1 had crunchy black stuff inside it, sat under air conditioning pipe which was dripping down on my table, and got locked inside bathroom from the inside.

Best BBQ in town! The atmosphere is a very chill, southern vibe, and they always have great music playing. They have live music some nights too! Their servers are always friendly and know a lot about the menu, however sometimes the food can take a while to get to you. Their brisket is outta this world and so is the Mac&cheese, and their bread pudding is to die for! It has indoor and outdoor seating, a bar & tons of cool decor! Definitely my favorite BBQ place for so many reasons.

Delicious food and friendly servers. Took my daughter out for a bday dinner. We got there close to closing time. Once we walked in an I relized this the staff welcomed us to come on in anyways. To be honest the decor was coolish(the Ford tailgate bench was cute) the service was great and friendly. The food on the other hand was weak at best I will give them the fact that they just changed the menu , but I got the pulled pork quesadilla lunch special the meat wasn't evenly distributed in it so some had lots and some had none and the meat was kinda flavorless. The cat fish fell apart when trying to dip it and the coleslaw tasted awful like it had been left out. All in all I wouldn't go back 3 people at lunch with all lunch specials shouldn't cost $40+.
