New to the area and was excited to come to a restaurant with such high reviews, but was completely disappointed. Lasagna tasted like a microwave dinner & the chicken Alfredo was very bland. Bread was very dry & the tea tasted really funny. Will not be going again.

Driving through Louisiana from SETX to SE Arkansas with a 10 year old fur-baby, so we looked for any place that was Dog-friendly. Since it's February in the South, the fireplace on the patio was an added bonus, and the staff more than accommodated us!!! Our dining experience began with an app of Ahi Tuna which was cooked to perfection!!! The garnishments were steamed fresh veggies - good seasoning on those as well. Jordan is a sweety!!! She babied us like family. Kyle the bartender kept us entertained as well. Our meal was the veggie pizza with sausage & pepperoni added. The crust is hand-tossed but not thick or thin...amazing!!! The sauce makes the pizza. Not overbearing, very tangy, but does not overpower the other flavors of the pizza. No dessert of course. WINE: Kim Crawford is only served by the bottle so the Sauvignon Blanc is a Sonoma Valley blend called Simi. Light & crisp, pairs well with the Ahi tuna. We will return!!! Most definitely!!!

Excellent food and good service. The Alfredo sauce with bread as an appetizer is amazing. We can almost make a whole meal out of just that. The reason for 4 stars is you have to watch for hidden costs they don't always tell you about. For example ordering the Chicken Parmesan they ask if you want red, white, or pink sauce. Pink is a mix of the marinara and the Alfredo sauce. They don't tell you it is $1.50 up charge. Other than that great food, nice atmosphere, and good service. And once you are done (if eating during the day) go for a walk down Antique Alley.

Good service. Bland and tasteless food. It was brought to the table about 5 min after ordering so obviously not fresh. Of course, timely service is appreciated...but at a sit down resturaunt I get suspicious when food is brought out so quickly. It really just tasted like it was from a can, but the prices dont reflect that. Great atmosphere, but this was my second time at this restaurant and both were dissapointing.

Pulling up, it seems to have a family feel. The layout and decorations is awesome. The music was awesome!! It was bad experience for my wife with her food. My food was great! I don't know if they offer their space for events, but it was so nice to me that I would recommend it for wedding receptions and banquets!

Very atmospheric, great food. We've been several times and had pasta each time. Very consistent quality from both West Monroe and Bastrop! West Monroe location is especially nice because of locale. We occasionally go for drinks and dessert, delicious every time. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good Italian food!

I have never been so disappointed The food was terrible The "marinara sauce" was like water with no flavor The cheese sticks also bland but we'll cooked and hot I sent it back and decided to try turtle cheesecake It didn't taste like cheesecake and I left it on the plate Mom's minestrone soup she ate most of it but said it wasn't great The waitress was kind and apologetic Surprised no manager came out to the table I wanted to let the chef know it's bad off and to taste any sauce they make Cooking 101 We won't be back due to the lack of management to address this serious problem There were a few guys at the bar having a great time and staff did visit and sit with them Sonic mozzarella cheese sticks are far superior and the marinara sauce is marinara sauce I was told that spaghetti and marinara sauce are the same there It's ridiculous Watery no flavor sauce like that on spaghetti would be highly disappointing The spaghetti was fabulous last time AGAIN I WON'T BE GOING BACK UNLESS MAMAGEMENT CONTACTS ME

Beautiful restaurant down by the Ouachita River, redone from an older building. Has a wonderful feel to it inside that makes you want to go to just sit there. Food is good but not great to me. The alfredo sauce wss a little thick, reminded me of white gravy honestly. But whatever you do get, you get alot for your money.

Laid back, comfortable atmosphere with a scenic location in Antique Alley, Downtown West Monroe. Good Italian cuisine served quickly by excellent waitstaff. Selection of spirits and mixed drinks are wonderfully diverse, simply presented and sure to please. Great place for family gatherings or casual business lunches. Boutique shopping within walking distance. Enjoy!

Only been there once and had veal piccata. Sauce was a little thick for my taste and not acidic enough... needed more lemon/wine. Otherwise taste was good and veal was tender. Atmosphere is nice. Service was average. My guest had requested sauce on the side for her order but when order came it was not. Wait staff offered to get her another plate but do to time restraints declined. Overall good, but room for improvement.

Roma has something for everyone. Their pasta is amazing, but they've also got grilled and seafood items for the health conscious, and pizza for the picky. Add the great food to the pleasant and rustic ambiance and you've got a nice meal out. Roma is always on my short list for places to go for a date when I cant decide.

Their take on a caprese salad was unique, the food was fresh, the shrimp were massive, the service excellent, decent wine selection, and the setting is fun. I wish there was a bit of separation for people having parties because we were there when two families were having birthday parties for young children, and it got incredibly loud.

It was good, not great. I would recommend if you like american Italian. Don't get me wrong I liked the food and the service, but the food was just missing that real Italian taste somehow. Maybe it was just the environment atmosphere that was lacking. Not sure but the service was good and the place was clean, so we'll go back when we're in town.

Horrible experience! Server forgot our entire order, stumbled to explain pizza sizes and then we found a hair in our pizza and the owner/manager didn’t seem to be worried about it. He did knock off $6 off the price of a $58 ticket. We won’t be back.

The entire meal and experience was just great! There was no wait, the waitress was very nice and knew her material very well. The prices are great (lower than Olive Garden) and I would even say this was the best Italian meal I've had in a long time. We even got dessert and it to was exceptional! Plus it was very easy to carry on conversation with very little noise. My meal: the seasonal Crawfish Ravioli with a salad (the house dressing is incredible) Dessert was chocolate turtle cheesecake. The cheesecake was more on the mild side, as I wish it could have been a little more tart/sharp but not enough to warrant a complaint! 5 stars all the way

Excellent food and service at fair prices. Their complimentary bread is much better than Olive Garden's bread sticks, however, Roma doesn't offer free salad which is probably one of the reasons why their prices are lower than Olive Garden's.

I usually will go here on my lunch breaks when i'm craving pasta, in my most recent visits, my pasta sauces tasted watered down. This restaurant has great potential, but they have been falling through the cracks more and more with their food. I will probably stop coming here, I don't see any reason in spending $20 on pasta that is watered down.

I'm editing my old review. Great Italian food ...and not so great. The last few months the food isn't quite as a good as it was. The lasagna has hardly any cheese on it - there is more on a microwave dinner. The minestrone tastes watery & is overpowered with bell peppers. Like someone boiled bell peppers and served them to you in the pot water. Anything with Alfredo or pink sauce is great. The pizza is hit or miss. When it's good it's really worth it - great flavor. Especially if they make it on the thin to medium thin side. When it's bad it's worse than a delivery pizza.

This place does so many things right. The waitresses always do a great job. They are attentive without hovering. The food is very consistent. The sauces are good. I particularly like the pink sauce. It's a little different. Special orders, like asking for one sauce on a dish that normally comes with a different sauce, is not a problem. The food always comes out extremely hot. Nothing is worse than being served cold food! The deserts are nice. The lemon seemed especially nice. It's clean inside. If the weather nice, I enjoy sitting outside in the back. I have not tried their pizza yet, but the eggplant rotini and lobster ravioli are delicious!

Pretty decent food, but not the best. We ordered chicken palm; marinara sauce tasted like something out of a can. Lobster ravioli; though they said it's fresh but it was the immitation crab. However their chicken wings was one of the best dry rubbed wings I've tasted!!! Service and ambience were good.

Prices are just a little above average, but it's worth it for this great food. Restaurant is quiet and the owners are very friendly. The wait is usually very short and they have gluten free pasta - and it tastes good! Good for a romantic evening or dinner out with the family

The atmosphere is always welcoming and comfortable. The food is very tasty especially the bread. I love the chicken Murphy for dinner and chicken McIntyre for lunch. We had a group of 11 and the server was friendly, organized, and the food timely and hot. The pizzas are big and very yummy. I ordered the chicken parm, it was pretty good, but the chicken was thin and mildly overcooked. My friend ordered shrimp scampi. But said it wasn't the best. Overall, it's a casual, calm environment with good service and good food.

UPDATED REVIEW: Our last visit to Roma wasn't nearly as good as before. We went on a Wednesday which maybe is part of the reason. I ordered the chicken Murphy which I've had before, and it was really good last time. This time the balance seemed off on the sauce which made it much heavier on the marinara side. Worse than the sauce was the chicken. There are two large pieces on the dish, and on mine one was bland, but it seemed freshly cooked. The other piece of chicken tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. The sauce combined with not great chicken made for a much less enjoyable dish this time. Really good pasta and sauces, pizza varieties that are homemade

The pasta was pretty good but it wasn’t worth everything else. Staff wasn’t great at all didn’t act like they even wanted to be there. The bread was burnt every time, the calzones are awful. There was a display for happy hour but we got charged full price. It was my first time going and even though my dish was decent it just isn’t worth it. Don’t plan on returning.

This is a true gem of a Italian cooking in North Louisiana. The service and atmosphere are second to none in the area. It's location on historic Trenton Street means access to the multitude of local antiquity and furniture stores, and sweet shops. And, of course, the food is without compare. Not just the variety of dishes, but the quality of each dish, and the quantity you receive on every plate. Bring your family and your appetite.

It used to be such a great place. Now, the food is a hollow shell of what it used to be. The atmosphere has kind of changed. The owners should really focus on the performance of their staff and the quality of food. Boom roasted... But not as bad as that parmesan on that eggplant.

Great lunch specials. Most of the lunch items are close to $10, but not over. Most are adequate portion size too. Rigatoni vodka with chicken eats better than the price and is a personal favorite. The only concern is that lunch service has similar speed to dinner service, so it can be difficult for those on lunch break to get in and out in time. I'd suggest calling in the orders ahead of time.

Food is very good here but not sure about the service. We went at 5 PM on a Saturday. Not at all crowded but our server literally had our checks on the table and to go boxes before anyone at our table finished it eating. Good business to turn over tables but this went a little too far.

Alright, but I feel it's a bit overrated. Food is decent enough, not nothing particularly special. Overall it's about as average as a restaurant could possibly be. Feels like it wants to seem "upscale" somehow but missed the mark for me. Personally I wouldn't choose to eat here, but I wouldn't avoid it if I was with someone who did.

My favorite Italian spot in the twin cities. Beautiful location in Antique Alley for a stroll, (which will probably be needed after the generous amount of food you're given) with lots of open space, large windows, and classy decor. Pro Tip: for a more romantic option, if the weather is nice enough you can ask to sit out in the back patio area and the friendly staff will be happy to accommodate. Very good wines for sale if you like, without everything on the menu being overpriced. Great Italian food in a nice setting where you don't feel out of place if you're not dressed nicely because the staff are down to Earth and friendly? Yes, please

This is a great place in W. Monroe. Managers are friendly, staff is great. Anything with the pink sauce is a definite yes. Pizza is 3.5 to 4 star, the pasta is better. They have a bartender now that can make really good drinks.

I went for lunch today and I ordered the Chicken McIntyre. The last time I ordered the chicken and veggies it was burnt and super dry. I asked the server ahead of time if I could get the pink sauce on the side. She said yes. I thought if the chicken is dry I can dip it in the sauce. Another server brings out the food-Chicken McIntyre with veggies on the side. I said no it's supposed to be the sauce on the side. The waitress takes it back to the kitchen and they pull the chicken out of the sauce and put it on top of the veggies and bring it back to me. When I tell the waitress that is what has been done she tells me it's cooked in the sauce and that' how it comes. Hmmm. Do they rinse the sauce off the chicken for the Chicken and Veggies that they serve? So, I ate my veggies because I did not want chicken soaked in pink sauce. It was only there in case I had dry chicken.
