I'll be honest I've had a few poboys from Pops. It is a good eat, not a favorite of mine personally, but appears super popular. I find their 4 dollar fries a bit pricey for the flavor, but the redeeming factor is good bread and fresh fried shrimp. Their flavors are very pronounced so be careful with the blue cheese menu items.

Great place to hang out with friends for a nice, modern vibe. The banh mi was super tasty, and there were many not-your-typical poboy creations. The drinks are also pretty nice. It is a little on the pricier side, but if you want a place to have a small get together over a tasty bite to eat, I'd definitely say to go for it.

Oh where to start .. absolute delicious Po- boy’s that you will find in Lafayette .. thanks to a friend who introduced me to this food joint right in middle of the town .. HOT HOT (yes it’s hot ) Po-boy was one of a kind , hot , crispy and held up its name !! Banh Banh shrimp was delicious and to top it all the beef in debris style roast beef was so soft , it literally melted in the mouth !!

I've gone several times to Pop's hoping to like it more since most of my friends rave about this place. I'm not a picky eater, but I just haven't been able to find anything on the menu that I like. On the plus side, it has great atmosphere. Nice place to get drinks.

The sandwich itself was not bad. Perhaps it was me expecting more of an authentic poboy from Louisiana. I got the classic fried shrimp poboy and it honestly just tasted like a fried shrimp sandwich. The price for it was $13. Was it worth? No. Atmosphere was noisy. Tables were small. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the servers are nice.

This place is the best! Great service and creative menu items. My go-to order is the Hot Hot, it’s absolutely delicious and definitely brings the heat! Last time I went I got the Darlene because I wanted to try something new. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! My girlfriend got the bahn bahn shrimp and she swears it’s the best shrimp she’s ever had! Can’t wait to be back.

Another great local spot with a unique take on poboys. The "surf and turf" is my go to wih fried oysters and debris meat. The specials are always interesting. If you really, really love spicy sandwhiched I would go with the "hot, hot." I've never had it because I've watched my friends eat it and sometimes physically cry tears of pain/joy. If you're interested but not particularly brave, you can get the hot sauce on the side. An added local bonus is they have Swamp Pop, a lafayette made soda company, keeping the drinks local. THey also have an extensive bar with Lousiana favorites like the sazerac. Gotta look up their hours before you go in and be wary of the lunch rush because it can get really busy. During Festival International they have a mac and cheese crawfish bread bowl which is to die for. Another local spot to add to my "must get local t-shirt from here" collection.

It's a little over priced. The Pop's Soda is really expensive. The food is fine, but when you have so many good restaurants around, it needs to stand out. I have a slight biased opinion, as I do not like mayo. If you like mayo, and like really sloppy messy po-boys, you'll love it. My friends do. A group of us go around once a month.

Excellent selections with a special twist on po-boys! My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed our food. Service was friendly and reliable. They also have a variety of specialty cocktails as well as foreign and domestic beers. My only complaint is that the bloody Mary was hard to finish. I simply did not care for the overwhelming taste of garlic powder in the mix. But, we will definitely be back to try other po-boys.

This is our third time to order from Pops Poboys and I can honestly say it was the worst. The poboys were very good. We ordered fried pickles as usual because they are better than fries. They were so greasy, looked like they used old grease or too much grease. The box was soggy, the pickles were too big. I am so upset.

Delicious poboys that can’t be beat! They have a number of fusion-style poboys to try (if you’re feeling adventurous) along with some of the more classic options. The tasty sodas are a nice touch - it’s a wonderful spot downtown to get lunch with friends.

Friendly hip atmosphere! Food is delicious! Roast beef debris poboy is awesome! Swamp pop drinks are amazing! They also have a vegan menu! There is also a separate dining area with a bar! Pop's Poboys is kid friendly! The tables are covered with white butchers paper, and colors on the table for kids to draw! Love this place!

Hot hot is just that. If you like ghost chili hot then it's for you. Very limited seating and it fills up fast. Plan accordingly for larger groups. Great selection of adult cocktails and beers to help with getting the hot hot down or just to drown your tongue into submission. They do offer other good poboys as well, but the main event is the hot hot IMHO.

Great food but little training on serving alcohol. I just turned 30 and waiting on my replacement license. I presented the expired license and a state letter for my temporary license linking the two for purposes such as this. They did not know how to interpret it and denied me service. So, I went to Old Tyme Grocery right down the road. Since they were able to read a letter, I am now enjoying a beer and a Poboy. Edit: Understand the owners response and appreciate it. However, the state issued letter makes my license valid with a 2024 expiration date. So, according to the letter it is a valid, current license with my picture on it. As the state laws require. I did not see in the response from the state saying the letter does not make my license valid. Regardless I have the renewed license now, so that's good. I'd go back here for tasty Poboys. With all that said I agree to disagree and can appreciate them protecting their business.

This is my new favorite poboy spot in Lafayette. Great cocktails too, had a great Sazerac and someone else I was with had the Pimms Cup. I had the Boudreaux, and fried pickled okra was real good too. Person I was with at the banh mi shrimp and said it was one of the best poboys he'd ever had. You really should try this place!

This is my personal favorite Po-Boy place in Lafayette. That Hot-Hot... So good. It's very spicy but super worth it. The staff are amazing and very friendly, great bartender, and I've never had a bad bite of food here. Love the rotating special sandwiches they do, too! Of all my favorite restaurants in Lafayette, I miss this one the most.

You think that you will save half your sandwich for later, but you have already eaten it. Oh well, might as well get another for later. The specials are especially worth multiple visits. I highly recommend the Boba Feta, Offensive Line, and the Nut Job. Prices are a little high, but they are definitely worth every penny. 10/10 would get a cardiac bypass for a sandwich again.

I never really was a fan of PoBoys. Until Pop's that is! I have tried almost everything on their menu as I work in very close proximity to their restaurant. At the office we all have very different likes and dislikes yet, Pop's has something that everyone can enjoy. I almost always get the "special" of the week. They offer creative and unique PoBoy's with flavor profiles that can sometimes be uncommon to the usual local fare. Definitely not your "same ole, same ole". The food is always hot and fresh but be patient as everything is made to order. You wont be sorry, but you might be ready for an afternoon snooze after getting your belly happy!

Creative use of ingredients really defines this sandwich spot. The food is usually quite good, and also fresh. The service is pleasant, and the atmosphere is fun. I highly recommend this place for a casual date, family outing, or even a business lunch. Some may feel uncomfortable about the cost of a poboy, but if you look at the amount of food you receive in comparison to other places, the prices begin to make more sense.

My husband, son and I went here for lunch.. I hadn’t heard of it so had no idea what I was in for. The Mac n cheese reminded me of my Pops Mac n cheese! The hush puppies were fluffy and fried to perfection with two dip options. The fried pickles were a perfect balance of batter and pickle! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.. to finish off our lunch we had Poboys! I got the Bahn Bahn and my husband got the Hot Hot! They were both amazing!! I never leave reviews on restaurants but this one deserves it! Go now and enjoy like we did!
