I love Ming's. I go for dinner and for lunch. Affordable delicious Chinese food. Police "thin blue line" flag out front. Hard to beat that. They have several specials that run most of the year. I recommend trying one of those out, but the standard dishes are there too and I find them to be better than the other places.
Excellent
Good food eat j ere all the time
The sesame chicken is literally just that. Sesame seeds on chicken. No sauce. No seasonings. No flavor. It was so gross. I will say that the restaurant is clean and the staff are very nice! I've got nothing against them. I just won't go back and order sesame chicken. Also, the crab Rangoons are made with both real AND imitation crab. It says on the menu they only use the best ingredients... imitation crab is a "best ingredient"? GROSS.
Food is awesome and service is fast. This is not some fast thrown together food. You can tell the chef cares about what he serves. All chicken is white meat, which is a plus to me.
This is the best Chinese food in Nola. The rice may need to be labeled as a controlled substance because of how good it is. The shrimp toast is delicious. And the prices are great.
I think their overpriced their rice is dry the lo mein not so good great ribs though wonton soup pretty good too
Delicious!
Great Chinese daily lunch specials and an attentive wait staff.
Quite, friendly, very good food. The Triple Treasure is our favorite and the portions are hugh.
Great chinese food with top quality ingredients. Probably the best egg rolls in the city.
yum its good
Just ate at Ming's. VERY DISAPPOINTING . The steamed dumplings were not even warm , right after the cold dumplings were served the entrees were served. The Xo beef taste good but was suppose to have vegetables ., 4 pieces of broccoli 4 pieces of a green bean that made maybe one whole bean 1 half piece of a baby corn and a half of a cauliflower piece isn't much for a dish that was 17$. The fried rice looked great but lacked in flavor , to top all of that off the last bite I took of the rice had a small piece of plastic in it. They were very apologetic and took the rice off of the bill. I didn't want to seem like a chronic complainer so I didn't say anything about the rest. I don't think we will give it a second try.
Food excellently prepared, service was as awesome as ever.
Food is excellent, fresh, and flavorful! Could use extra sauce on the plates bc is that good!
Excellent!!!
Very high quality Chinese food and the service is great.
Both of us are in the F&B business and I am from NYC. A transplant here 5yrs now. Desperately looking for decent chinese, some are not bad, some are tolerable but Mings is a joy. Great service, family is present and proud, showing off dishes for other tables as they pass our table, which I actually understood the spirit of. It gave me the overview of how the kitchen does. This is how Chinese restaurants should be and many back home are. Moo shu pork was beautifully prepared and very fresh. Green beans, roast red pork julienne, water chestnuts , black mushrooms and more in a flavorful brown sauce. Authentic pancakes and traditional hoisin. Where do you get that kind of variety in a Moo Shu. Shrimp toast crispy, wet and full of shrimp flavor, curry is also great and any specials they have carefully thought out. Happy to report in a city I feel is overrated at best for what they think is great. Btw three times to Mings before this review was written.
Found this place by total accident, and boy am I glad I did! We had intentions of eating at a restaurant nearby, but the wait was too long. We searched for other places close by and decided on Ming's. We had a large party, so we had to wait a short time for a table as Ming's is not a very big place. As we waited, we got to see some of the other patrons get their food and I knew we were in for a treat. Literally everything we ordered was delicious! Everything is served family style, so you can try several things on the menu if you so choose. We ordered shrimp toast, egg rolls, cho cho and dumplings for appetizers. All were very good and I don't think I could pick a favorite. For entrées we had pepper steak, beef lo mein, combination lo mein, General Tso chicken, salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp fried rice. Again, everything was great. Not to mention, the service was also excellent. Our table never wanted or had to ask for anything because our server was always on top of it. Give this place a try! You will be glad you did!
Always 5 stars!
Judicieusement situé à côté de la guesthouse Rose Manor. Accueil courtois et service attentif. Prix corrects. Un agréable dîner après une longue étape.
Best eggrolls, fried rice!! Everything we had there entrée wise was very delicious. Definitely worth the drive from Westwego
Rude...rude waitress..embarrassing
Food is mediocre.
The food is delicious and always fresh
Were from Huntsville, Al and visiting family. Ate at Mings and had wonderfully tasty and relaxing meal relaxed meal. Their cho cho's were delish. 48x36
Delicious. Great lunch prices until 4:00 for generous portions.
Ming's has a very spic 'n span exterior, with fine landscaping, and the interior is clean, neat, and modern. It is a crowded, loud, and lively lunch spot. I ordered the Kung Pao Beef with Egg Roll. This was hot, fresh, and delicious. Good service. Good prices. I would recommend it and return. RJT
Good food, great atmosphere
Awesome atmosphere and really good food. Our server was on the ball even though the place was super busy on a Saturday night. Entre was well prepared and tasted great. I will definitely be going back here soon.
Good clean food. Great 4 lunch or dinner.
My wife and I have enjoyed this restaurant ever since we moved into the neighborhood. Some of the best Asian food in the city with the friendliest staff.
Love the food very fresh reasonable prices great waitress will go back
Basically, none of the food was good. The hot and sour soup was sweet and quite viscous. The orange beef tasted like orange soda syrup. The rice had no consistency and seemed old. Back of house seemed disorganized. Service was good.
I've been waiting an hour for my food to come. The manager didn't seem to care about my hunger pains. I won't come back.
Good food and service. Fills up quickly. Has a busy to go business and I believe they are on waitr app.
Chicken moist. Great lunch prices
First time visitor. Food was great
Great food
My first time going there. Food was really good, not too expensive
Sorry. Not my favourite Chinese restaurant. Egg soup was greasy.
Great lunch
Great food and atmosphere
Very good food had the garlic shrimp and vegetables. Excellent
Best I have had in a long time.
Obvious pest issue
Honey Walnut shrimp and Crab Rangoon try it once and you will be hooked to
Great service... Great food.
Great! Great food and even better service. Thanks Ming!
Great lunchtime eatery.
Who thinks Chinese when in New Orleans right? However this isn't a typical Chinese restaurant instead it's a mix of freh seafood with some traditional Asian style entrees..i had the seafood basket what a delight for the tastebuds. Yum
This has become my favorite place for Chinese food in New Orleans
I have no idea what a choo choo is but it is awesome..
Great food
Good egg rolls.
Food is consistently good. Great lunch specials. Fast service.
Wonderf
Oh my!!! Light Chinese food. I got the Sweet and Sour Shrimp, it was lightly battered, had great flavor, and a really nice family atmosphere.
Wonton soup was the best on this side of the lake.
Great food , aforable prices
Went their last night and today for lunchtime. Very delicious and consistent. We will be back.
Fast and delicious!
Good food, but there, The To Go Orders, the Sweet & Hot Mustard containers are only filled 1/4 of the way in each container. Don't have enough SAUCE for the dinners I ordered!!
Its chinese food very geared towards American pallets. Not very authentic but tasty.
Best in the city
Food is always very good. Service could use some improvement.
Orange beef was delicious!
Food is consistently good. Great Value and cooked to order. Quick-service
Ordered lunch to go for my Mom. Telephone order was easy and the individual taking my order alerted me to "lunch combination specials" that would reduce my overall bill. I ordered Vegetable Spring Rolls, Egg rolls, Combo Sweet and Sour Pork and a Bok Choy with Mushrooms. My order was ready for pick-up, 20 minutes after phoning it in. Thought I had a 20 minute drive to my destination, everything was hot when I arrived. The Sweet and Sour Pork was packaged separate from the sauce so the pork would not become soggy. That combo also came with a portion of fried rice and an egg roll. A delicious take-out.
Awesome little gem. So good they were packed, worth the wait.
Great place to eat if you're in Lakeview. Great staff and service. Had the mapo tofu and crab rangoos and shrimp toast. They were wonderful, not too too oily and greasy and it was fresh.
I love Ming's
Great Chinese food in Lakeview. Good location with plenty of free parking. Lots of space and a nice bar. Excellent food and service. Will go back.
Great place to eat!
Very good , fresh and delicious
Really good Chinese food in a clean and welcoming environment.
Ming's is the best Chinese food in the city.
Great Chinese food best in Lakeview!!
This is a nicely decorated Chinese restaurant with amazingly delicious food! I had the Walnut Honey Chicken dinner and it was so good we had to go back during our vacation in the New Orleans area. Considering there are lots of good places to eat there, that says a lot!
Great Chinese Restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious. The drinks were cold and tasty. I had the wonton noodle soup and eggrolls and it was wonderful. I had the tsingtao with my meal. The lemon chicken came in a generous portion and tasted great. The Mai-Tai was mixed to perfection. Bring your appetite or box it up for later. I will go back to Ming's.
It was good specially the egg drop soup the waitress Debbie was sweet
Great Food
Fantastic food
My husband and I were once regulars to this restaurant until recently. We live close enough to where we mostly called in the food and ate at home. We wanted to get out this time, so we decided to step in and grab a bite. We had to cancel the order I was so uncomfortable with being there. They seated us at a table quickly, but the table they sat us at was against a wall that was dirty. Between the dust on the border and the splash back of soda/tea/soy sauce (whatever it was) looks like it had been sitting there for awhile. Then I get the water I ask for it tastes like mildew! If they can’t keep their eating space clean enough, I don’t want to imagine what it looks like in the back. Good food, but never eating there again.
Cheap fast good for lunch , not haute cuisine , but not bad!
Food is delicious. My favorite Chinese restaurant
Delicious and great drink specials
Always good
I got 4 of the soft taco specials - 2 Pulled Pork, Blackened Fish, and Blackened Shrimp. All were delicious! Great service, too.
Delicious
Happy hour on Tuesday is calling me.
Always good, no.complaints here!
EXCELLENT! First visit, wont be the last.
Best American Chinese I've ever had.
I love the chocolate cho!!
My favorite Chinese food. Dog friendly tpp.
Good food , friendly staff, good prices.
a different take on Chinese food. cho-cho was savoury and crunchy. the Singapore noodle dish was outstanding. Service was great, as well.
I heard that this was a good place to come if you have a gluten allergy or celiac disease...it is not though. My Nima gluten sensor unfortunately found gluten in the Kung Pao Chicken, which was supposed to be prepared with no cross contamination with gluten for celiac disease.
Best Chinese food In thearea
I was driving to Kenner whenever I got a craving for Chinese. Then I found this place in New Orleans! Best Chinese in the city hands down.
My favorite everything is ftesh
I had a great lunch here with an old work colleague. The food was excellent!
Best chineese in city. I order mine with light sauce
Delicious!!
Excellent food
Dinner was very good. The only flaw was that the shrimp fried rice was a bit dry as if it had been sitting for a while. Service was very good.
Ming's is excellent. I really like their lunch menu. I like the Mandarin Chicken and the Chicken with Vegetables. Also, the Crab Rangoon appetizer is great. Very nice place, very clean, great food and service.
Best Chinese food in New Orleans
Great lunch specials
great service and spectacular food. has plenty of parking in the back and has a wonderful atmosphere.
Exspensive but good
Not what i was expecting. See a house and start second guessing your choice. But dont let the appearance fool you. Its a chinese food restaurant.
Their lunch is quick and delicious. Super yummy!
Great service, Nice atmosphere. The food was so great.
Great food and service!
Very good food and service. Comfortable environment.
Awesome food! Great service!
Easily by far THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN NEW ORLEANS! We took some friends from Houston and theh were amazed...hell, We were amazed and we've been there a few times. Everytime we go we cannot believe how good this place is. The eggrolls for example are like nowhere else. Big fatties stuffed with goodness. FRESH goodness. The boneless pork, is a loin sliced with a perfect carmelized sweet red coating..fresh......UNREAL! so tender and delicious! Got the mandarin chicken last night and it was way beyond my expectations. the sauce is house made, not just some own gravy that's sub par....the chicken was fresh and had a perfect light golden brown batter cooked to perfection. Go, that is all!
Delicious food
Great food and with my love of my life. Best customer service
Great food .. Great price eat there all the time
Ming's is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the city. They use high quality ingredients and cuts of meat in their dishes and has the best hot and sour soup I've had so far. I appreciate that they use good pieces of white meat for the chicken dishes and not what some people call "plastic pieces". I normal dish would be their garlic chicken and while it is very tasty, its not as spicy (heat) as I am used to so I just ask them to add a pepper when I order it and it comes out great.
Delicious food at a good price and it is open on Monday!
Excellent dishes every time.
I liked the service. The kung pao beef was typical americanized chinese food similar to what you would get on a buffet.
Was great when they first open. Even though the food is still great. The service sucks. I will never go back
Good place for Chinese food
Great place for interesting and fresh Chinese. Note that their website lists lunch hours on Saturday.
Fresh, house- made won tons, and gyoza. Chinese food at a higher level
Really good great price terrible service
It’s okay
Best Chinese in New Orleans.
Crab ragoon& generals chicken, wonderful. Some of the best I had.
Staff, owners are very attentive. Food is fresh and flavorful. Prices are great. Recommended highly. Never had a bad experience.
I have been hearing about this place for a while. Recently I finally made it in. I was not disappointed! I had the Shrimp Lo Mein, Garlic Chicken, and Veggie Spring Rolls. Wow! This is some of the best Chinese food in New Orleans. Service was friendly and quick as well! Priced just right, and portions are large!
Every thing was hot, fresh and delicious. I would highly recomend.
Food is delicious. Tea is good as well.
Great food
One of the best meals I've ever had. Certainly the best Chinese food I've ever had. So flavorful and flawlessly executed. From the cho cho to the hot and sour soup to the seafood bird 's nest... Eccentric and delightful server, Samantha.
Bland oriental cuisine you would most likely be able to get mall Chinese food with the same or better quality.
Great food, great ambiance, and good prices
Fast and friendly service, very good lunch specials
Food was good
One of the better Chinese places in town.
Great food!
The lunch selection is great for a business lunch or a quick lunch with friends. Love the atmosphere and location. The also utilize a regional delivery service, Waitr, so you can enjoy at home. Their egg rolls and wonton soup are delicious. My favorite lunch item is their Mandarin chicken.
