We always hit up MCYC in Fridays in crawfish season (roughly March-July). Get there around 4 and you'll be first in line for bugs. They do them right: super spicy, perfect texture, and priced fairly.

We MAY have bought our home partly because this neighborhood sports bar & kitchen is just that awesome. Love this place. The outdoor patio is stunning, food is great, and there is always a good time to be had. If you're lucky you can even grab a drink then catch the softball and kick ball action across the street at St. Patrick's field.

Fantastic food, great beer selection and cocktails and even a brunch menu. Trivia night on Wednesdays is always a blast and of course there are plenty of sports games to watch. The only downside is that I'm pretty sure this is an Ohio State football bar but I can't confirm that so don't hold it against them. Oh, and they have misters when it's hot too so you won't melt outside (unless you're the wicked witch of the west).

Great bar and food, but do not bring your boat, there is no where to park it since the streets are always packed. I just used my canoe to get there. I know. I know. It isn't as fancy as a Yacht but it gets the job done.

I saved judgement for several visits before posting a review. I LOVE the Mid City Yacht Club. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks; all amazing!!! Been there so man Yb times over the past year and have NEVER been dissapointed - unless you count the fact that they no longer have their awesome alligator sausage dog! Definitely worth a visit!!!

Went here Friday for the first crawfish/shrimp boil of the season both of which were amazing! Prices are extremely reasonable. If you are in the area on a Friday night this is the place to be for a good boil usually starts around 4:30 pm. The staff are wonderful and the drinks are just as good. This is a great place to relax and enjoy great food with friends!

Came here for a Saturday drink with my wife (date night and all) the bartenders were exceptionally rude. One bartender, Tyson, when I asked "excuse me" just held her finger up to me as if to say "hold on" without actually saying a word, then didn't pay attention to me until I asked her again. All I wanted was my check. She was standing at the computer.

Food was good once we finally got it but we waited over an hour for a burger and debris fries. Once I finally got my burger I asked where my girlfriend's debris fries were? I was then told the bartender only rang up a burger. It took another 20 or so minutes to get fries.

Some places are great at what they are - Mid city yacht club, with it's classy name, is a cool neighborhood dive-bar next to a softball field. When I was there for Michaels game, we stopped in for some cold ones. Awesome! nice nautical decor, friendly staff, cold beer. There is an outdoor patio out back and they seem to have decent bar food (looked good, but we were too busy drinking to eat)They rate! The picture is of the remains of an irish depth charge, I think....some details of that night are kind of fuzzy.....

The Yacht Club is amazing. From the bar backs to the owners - everyone involved with the yacht club is friendly, hard working, and awesome. The food is great, large beer selection, and it is hard to go there and not make a friend. If you're an Ohio State fan this is the place to be on Saturday in the fall!

The new menu is great, the atmosphere is perfect, and the bartenders are all skilled. Service may not be the quickest, but you have to check out the new back patio if you have not been by lately. The owners have greatly improved this place, and the food is top notch. I highly recommend the steamed muscles.

I would not recommend for late night eats. We got there over an hour before the kitchen closed to get some burgers after a late finish at work. It was busy, but it took 15 minutes to place our order (2 burgers, medium, with cheese & bacon, to-go). Nearly 40 minutes later our order comes out, but we spend another 10 minutes trying to get our bartender's attention so we can pay and leave. Again, it was busy. We get home to 2 burgers that are well done, and only one had cheese & bacon. We waited nearly 40 minutes for burgers that were neither cooked properly nor completed properly. Service was slow and cordial at best. I'll give a place the benefit of the doubt when they're busy, but this was a little ridiculous. 2 stars since I went late-night and service might be better during the day.

It occurred to me that I might not fit in EVERYWHERE I go, just most places. This didnt look like most places, and I guess I got a little bit intimidated and as I parked my bike close by but not on top of the place as I didn't want to disturb the cafe diners/drinkers on the buffet (some y'all call dat de sidewalk ya see...) and as i parked my lightening steed, i looked down at myself in all my head to toe leather and chromie skid-lid topping it all off; self awareness as if being naked in public for the first time might shake some people up, along with that tinge of self conciousness and loss of confidence. I instantly felt wrung out and errordynamical like every angle of mine was round and I knew i wasn't going to fit in at this overtly square joint. I mean i saw myself waltz in this place and trip just as I pushed the door open and turned all eyes to see who had just invaded their bubbly bubble. Well as i saw myself falling face first into the hostess stand I saw that bubble pop! Now at this point I didn't need to see me fumble for my money and spill my drink that i would have made a triple to calm my nerves, so, I didn't even bither to actually look to see where the entrance was. Go and be brave to check it out in your own! Where the hell's your sense of adventure? I apparently left mine on my lightening steed... Chilly Theibault 5-15-19 ✌

Mid City Yacht Club is the weekly hangout spot every Wednesday for my group of friends due to the good food, fairly priced drinks, and most importantly, its trivia night. Trivia begins roughly around 7pm. First and Second place winners always recieve prizes. You can pick between a gift card to the bar or whatever bottle of liquor they have to give away that week. Trivia is played in the back, outdoor area of the bar and as a result this area is dog friendly so bring your doggo. As for the food, I highly recommend ordering the Stir Fried Rice. Extremely flavorful and vegetables are cooked to perfection.

They truly care about their facilities in their members as well as their surrounding community. My wife and I felt like family after attending just to events at the mid city yacht club.
