The bartender was amazing. I sat at the bar for a quick bite and some drinks. The food definitely looked and tasted like they didn't care what I was eating. I'm almost 100% positive American cheese was on my unseasoned nachos. To be fair this was at 5:00 on Christmas Eve and I get that it's not the most popular time to be working, but if you are doing a job, put in the effort. The rest of the satff was clearly not enthused to be there, and made audible grumblings about the severalseveral who were coming in as i dined. Some even threatening to lock the doors so they could leave on time. Again, I totally understand the frustration but doing that in front of the customers was probably not the best judgement. From hearing from what excellent food and service they have from friends and family I took I chance. I was a bit disappointed from my first visit, but hopefully it was just a fluke. The saving grace would have to be the bartender. Drinks were cold, well mixed and well served with a smile.

I’m trying to condense this review... I booked a table for 10 ladies, we were put into a small room with another table of 10. AFTER ONE ROUND OF DRINKS we were told that we were cut off because patrons at the bar were complaining. The other table in our room was cut off as well. We consulted with management and were given permission to order ONE MORE ROUND... after that round, we were offered another drink but we passed. Ridiculously bad management. We will spend our money at an establishment that actually wants customers. We will never go back again.

Solid prices. Their happy hour margaritas are a really good deal ($4 for any flavor, I think). Also, their $2 taco Tuesday special is a great option. Whether you're a broke college kid or you've always wanted to try a mango margarita without dropping $10-15 on it just to find out that yeah, it's actually as weird as it sounds, then you should definitely check this place out.

Great little Mexican restaurant with laid back at atmosphere. The menu is huge and has many options and drink specials. Food is really good, tried the Mole chicken enchiladas and a combination dish with chicken enchilada, ground beef taco and chilli rellaño. The chilli rellaño was very good.

If I could give it one star I would. The staff is very rude and does not have any manners. They also prioritize customers who are not of color over ones who are. Also they talk about you in Spanish as if there is no possibility someone can be bilingual. Also who eats squash and broccoli with Mexican food ? DO NOT EAT HERE!

The food was authentic, delicious and custom made to order. I got the make your own burrito which came with a black bean soup that was absolutely exquisite. The service was great and friendly. The biggest plus though would be the fact that chips and salsa are free with every meal, something that seems to be a luxury here in New Orleans. I highly recommend you try this Mexican restaurant first before any others.

This location is great. Always busy. I feel like the prices used to be better but now it is way over the top. I can’t believe what they are charging compared to before. Feels like greed to me. I’ve been going here since I was 7 at other locations and for what you get it should be less. Don’t get me wrong I love the food. But it’s expensive. The chips and salsa are good. Taco Tuesday is a great value especially when you add a happy hour margarita. I like that you can get the specials and happy hour pricing without having to dine in, unlike Tacos and Beer.

My go to place for Mexican food. We love this restaurant, food is always great here, not expensive prices. Friendly service, nice music and good drinks. Very busy, loud and crowded restaurant but service nor quality of food does not suffer here. Food portions, quality, freshness and prices are very good. Was disappointed in the churros as they were of the frozen variety. Should've had the flan. Parking is on the street...lot parking does not exist here. Be sure to READ all the signs and PAY for your parking at the meter. The meter monsters are notorious in this neighborhood.

Stopped in after a long day at Hop-Ev. Nice people, good service, and fresh ingredients in well made dishes. There are many options to choose from, and everyone from meat-eater to vegan will be able to find something good, and servers are more than willing to answer any questions. Prices are pretty reasonable too.

the food is always great! And every time I’ve been here I’ve had a good experience. Yesterday I went with my family and the waitress was so rude. She just stared at me when she talked and acted like it was a chore that she even had to take our order. Maybe she was having a bad day - I have no idea. But I never act like that if I’m having a bad day at work! Like she wasn’t even trying to hide any annoyance she was feeling. For some reason halfway through she stopped serving us and the guy took our table instead and he was perfectly nice! He’s always there! I hope the woman is having a better day or maybe finds a new job because she needs to learn more customer service skills. (Literally everyone else i saw there yesterday was fine and perfectly nice. I usually don’t write reviews but this lady rubbed me the wrong way.)

Craving Mexican food our last night in Manchester NH, our hotel recommended La Carreta. Great Southwest decor and ambiance. Food was good. Huge margarita was good also. This one was near the airport. I had the Enchiladas Suiza, they were smothered in cheese but also had a creamy gray or sauce that was different, good but different. Then Covered with pork. Unusual but very good. Try it!

I think this is some of the worst tex mex or Mexican food if not the worst food in new Orleans. I would actually rather get taco bell. The ground beef flavors were similar but la Carreta is more expensive. The margarita tasted of Gatorade and extra sugar. The service was good.

Phenomenal. Walked over here on a Thursday night from the lower Garden District. Quiet, yet full of atmosphere. Fantastic service. The margaritas were outstanding; I’d recommend the jalapeño margarita. The food was incredibly flavorful, colorful, and delicious. Definitely make sure you get the queso in some form or fashion.

Came to La Carreta and ordered a meal around 345p. There was barely anyone there. Only saw waitress 3 times and she barely spoke. Waited 30min before we received food when others who came in after us got their food within 10min. They messed up both orders. I have an allergy. They brought me food with 2 out of 3 items containing my allergy. The manager was disrespectful and came to me with a different plate of food saying that was all I could have there. Didn't give me the option to change it and did not deduct anything from my bill. Saw her once. Not happy and very very VERY disappointed and left with the manager making me feel like I am the one that is stupid.

Not the best time but not the worse. Their 0agers went down, so instead of getting flashing lights or a buzz, they called pager numbers. We missed our call and had to wait longer than originally planned. This normally isn't usually a big deal but we had diabetics in out party that were ready to eat. The second issue is that the waitress gave one of out party members a completely incorrect dish. So again we had to wait as the correct dish was served. Normally their service is better, they must have had a bad night.

La Carreta is one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have been to in New Hampshire. Located in the centre of Manchester this restaurant is a must visit. The food is fresh and authentic. A great value for the money. Friendly staff and a quick turnaround time from order to food arriving at your table enhance the experience. If you are visiting for business and staying a few days, don't be surprised if you find yourself visiting La Carreta a few days in a row.

Fresh and stylish spot. The bar is really neat as it as an old van hollowed out and painted in street art fashion on the outside. Not a huge place by any means, but humble and comfortable. The service is EXCELLENT here, very attentive from what feels like a TEAM effort from the whole staff. Everything from drinks to food is very fresh. My lady friend commented on how the women's restroom was the cleanest in all of New Orleans (and she has spent 25 years here and that "is saying something"), I also noticed the men's to be clean. Glassware and presentation is very cute and stylistic. One of the best little Mexican restaurants in town for a city who's offerings on this fare is few and far between.

Came by at 11:04, waited 6 minutes with no hostess up front. She comes by and sees me and tells me to wait a minute. That’s cool I thought. I waited, and she answers the phone and talks to another customer for 5 minutes. I couldn’t sit and wait any longer. Servers were free and ready for me and she couldn’t take 15 seconds to seat me. Was a regular customer food is normally good when they get your order correct! Always order the same thing 2 grilled chicken taco salads , Pretty simple. last 4 times I ordered food only once was it what I ordered. twice I recieved chicken salad. This last time I dont even have a clue what it was one had something that smelled and looked like cat food for the meat. The other of the 2 was what appeared to be canned chicken with peppers that smelled and looked absolutely disgusting. Never will I order from them again.

I must have been drunk from happy hour when I posted my last review! Drink specials start at 3PM daily, and all day Thursday. Haven't tried Taco Tuesday here, but I love their chile relleno. Rocks margarita is pretty solid, with a splash of the frozen thrown in for good measure!

Great food for sure... I would give four stars If it wasn’t so overpriced!!! I had the carne Asada and fish tacos twice... Carne Asada was nothing exciting... But those fish tacos... those are to REALLY GOOD!! My experience with service has always been slow as well... but I always seem to go at busy times.
