Absolutely shocked! Resident of the quarter had 8:15 reservations and we were led upstairs new experience! Not as pleasant as downstairs but that was not the problem! Our waiter took our order for bottle of wine an appetizer which came quickly. He suggested we order immediately for dinner and we did! Everything was fine to this point! There were several empty tables. We now waited over an hour for our food. The waiter made some excuse about the kitchen and another person came over with explanation regarding sauce replacement to which I agreed. Finally after an hour with no food we paid the check and left! No manager ever approached us and everyone seemed to run and hide! No apology and a day later no one has made any attempt to contact us. It was apparent no one really cared. I have had excellent experience in the past and realize anyone can have an off night but this horrendous evening certainly left me with no plans to return to KPauls!

Have been coming to the FQ all my life and never been, there's just something about a restaurant that requires a reservation days in advance that I could not understand in a town where there's a good meal every 100 feet for a third of the price. But I finally did it and I was stunned. The interior is extremely well maintained so it's not about the "patina" and history that so many other famous restaurants here have. The staff performed to the max, impressively trained, an extremely well oiled machine. I felt at home they were all so nice. I have no idea how they do it but on the first bite I knew it was the best ever in my life.

Camille O'Garro

Excellent food with superior service. Great place for celebrating a birthday.

Bryan Caswell

Came to experience the legacy of Paul Prudhomme, and we were not disappointed. Gumbo and jambalaya were fantastic, and the bread pudding was even better. We even devoured the bread basket. Gets a lot of tourist clientele from the French quarter and waterfront, so attire is a bit less formal than the restaurant might otherwise suggest.

Brittany Noltimier

Excellent dining experience with 5 star quality of food and service. Top notch restaurant. I had the eggplant creole dish. It was delicious and very unique. Tasted similar to a chicken parmesan because of the sauce and parmesan cheese. Also had a nice spicy margarita. Our server was a lady who moved there a month ago, sorry forgot name. But great service. Thanks!

Great food ... Great atmosphere and great staff! If you have the good fortune to visit New Orleans, I strongly suggest a visit to K Paul ... If you are lucky to get Sheila as a waitress it'll be one of the best dining experiences you'll have! Friendly and truly cares about providing a great customer dining experience ... geat ready to laugh and be educated on the history of K Paul. Thank you Sheila for a great night of dining

Charles Conti

Consistently excellent classic dining experience in New Orleans. Professional wait staff. Horses are exceptional even in Coolinary Month

Katherine McGinley

My husband and I went to dinner here recently and were very impressed! We ordered the jambalaya appetizer, the steak (it was perfectly tender - could cut it with a spoon), and the soft shell crab. (The free bread they bring you at the beginning is phenomenal too!) All of the food was DELICIOUS! But the main reason we loved it was the atmosphere and service. Our waitress, Sheila, was AWESOME! She was prompt with her service, kept our glasses full and table clean, made some great recommendations, took pictures on my phone of me and my husband, literally sat down to teach me how to eat a soft shell crab (yes, I’m a newbie), and hugged us when we left.

Kay Barker

AMAZING food. Wow. We went with friends and we all loved our meals. This is a high end restaurant but we'll worth it.

Rachael Pannepacker

Delicious! The Louisiana Blackened Drum was incredible. My only regret is that we haven't been here sooner. Don't miss it! K-Paul's makes the whole trip worth it.

Steve Glaude

My go to place when in New Orleans. Even though Paul passed away years ago the Chef's he trained have been in their kitchen for 30 years. The most authentic Cajun/Creole food in the quarter

Dave Brown

Great food but waiter was horrible , not knowledgeable and rarely came back to the table! Gave us dessert menu's then stayed away for 20 minutes so we didn't order any! It was towards the end of the evening on a Thursday night so not overly busy!

Marion Hogl

Excellent food and good service. Highly recommended!

Kelley Morris-Sutton

Excellent food and service!! Pricey but well worth it.

Dan Traina

K-Paul's is a true gem of New Orleans. The cooking is proper and unique to KPaul's. It's always a joy to dine here

Sheila Hendricks

Great Service and Great Food. We definitely recommend this restaurant to all visiting NOLA, you won't be disappointed

Robin S

The service was excellent and the food was superb. Prepared perfectly, seasoned exactly, and definitely a treat for all the senses Zach, our server, was very knowledgeable and took excellent care of us. We would highly recommend it to anyone who wants the ultimate gastronomical delight.

Ash M

Locals here. We were seated upstairs (I didn't even know there was an upstairs) which is not nearly as nice of an atmosphere as the downstairs section, so that was a little disappointing. We were celebrating a promotion - which I had told the restaurant upon booking - but they didn't really do or say anything, which again, was disappointing. Given the nature of the dinner, we wanted to take our time and enjoy a 3-course meal, but we felt incredibly rushed by the waiter - to the point that he kept trying to take away my appetizer even though I repeatedly told him I was still working on it. He even went so far as to have my main meal delivered to the table with my appetizer still in front of me (unfinished), which I find totally unacceptable by any dining standard, let alone one which considers itself upscale. I will say that my food was pretty great - I had the fried green tomatoes and flounder. My husband wasn't impressed with his, however. He had the gumbo to start and the beef tenders as a main - the beef was basically rare even though he had requested medium rare. Since it was covered in sauce he didn't feel it could be sent back to cook longer. The main issue with our dinner really was the service though. It felt like our waiter hovered over us all evening long and was extremely aggravated by us wanting to take our time. It's worth noting that we were late diners (we were sat at 8:15) and the restaurant was by no means full at that time, so his mannerism couldn't even be explained as wanting to flip our table for guests after us. Really kind of put a damper on what was supposed to be a celebratory meal.

Alice Ricard

OMG, everything was amazing. My husband and I walked all around looking for the perfect place to have dinner. From the moment we walked in, everyone was curtious and professional. The food was amazing and our waiter, Charles was exceptional. Thank you for the experience and we highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Renee

I thought that the food was okay but not noteworthy. The food came out so piping hot that it almost seemed microwaved. I really don't think it was worth the price. Also, the decor wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. I will definitely not be going back.

Faisal Alammari

The food was absolutely amazing! Definitely visiting again when I'm in New Orleans. The salmon was unlike anything I had before.

Naomi Palmer

Unfortunately a nice restaurant that did not serve our party well; huge delay for 2 entrees & 4 soups & salads, when others seated after us, ate & left. Atop one of the manager's and a couple of the staff, inappropriate, casual approach & non-resolution of the issue - we left. Kudos to the manager who did take care of the cost for the one soup & salad that was served. But this restaurant just put a damper on the New Orleans food experience.

Angela Stephenson

Perfect service, perfect atmosphere, perfect food. Pan fried trout, stuffed pork chop were both excellent. Desserts... Delicious. Fried green tomatoes... Superb... So much food... We'll get two meals out of it!!

Justin

Legendary Creole cuisine and seafood

SKroots

Friendly atmosphere, great service, okay food.

Eman Smith

So easy to give this place 5 stars! The blackened drum was TO DIE FOR! Steak was good, sausage was good dessert was amazing. The chocolate hill would make Gordon Ramsey proud from the plating to the taste. So good!!

Angelo Gouvis

Great spot. Amazing food, service that makes you feel "family", and an overall "must do" in New Orleans. Paul would be proud.

Deborah Good

Amazing food and service. Try the jalapeño martini!

Reginald Rogers

Nice place good menu

J N

Great meal for a celebration - my husband and I had a lovely anniversary meal here. The staff is very attentive and did everything to make our meal great. We have dairy allergies and the staff made sure that our meal was dairy free. It was delicious: jambalaya and pan fried flounder. The environment has a great feel: high class but not stuffy. A truly enjoyable celebration.

Jack Justice

Excellent atmosphere and staff. Our server was good though she was new, but Keith in the kitchen made our dinner above expectations. This is the one place I will go back to every time I am in town.

Pieter Harteveld

Traditional Louisiana fare. Not too expensive but big heavy meals

Mari Marques-Thomas

Dinner last night, great service & food. We didn't have a reservation & hostess was still able to accommodate. The best bread basket, variety.

kelvin ting

Lively place, had the crab jambalaya - flavorful throughout, the crab was stuffed with shrimps inside. Colleagues had spicy martinis (quite a bit of zing to the sip).

Kristi Marchand

This is one of my very favorite places in New Orleans. Incredible food and service. Thomas is a gem here!

Scott Magnusson

It doesn’t get much more New Orleans than K-Paul’s! Get the red fish and the turtle soup, you won’t retreat it. Restaurant has great New Orleans charm is great French Quarter location. Normally a decent street performer outside too!

Betsy Papaly

It was a good meal, but it didn't feel like a "local" spot to me.

Ryan Franklin

Fried green tomatoes were excellent everything wr had was real good!

Barbara Pace

Awesome! K-Paul's food & service never disappoints. We LOVE their Gumbo, Turtle Soup & the Salad with that amazing Bleu Cheese Dressing for starters. If their Oysters with Hot Fanny Sauce are available...order them, even if you think you don't like oysters! They do a great job with their entrees. Beware of the bread basket! It can seriously diminish your ability to finish your dinner or try one of their yummy desserts.

Alex Gazis

Had to get up and walk out. It was my wife’s birthday which they knew when we walked in and thereafter we were given the worst service of our entire lives. Took 20 mins for waiter to realize we were there to order drinks and apps, he then forgot what we ordered and came back and asked and we then waited another 30 minutes without getting a drink or appetizer. During these 30 minutes the wrong food was brought to our table not once but twice. After almost an hour with no drinks or food we decided to leave and had to scramble to find something for my wife’s birthday. The menu seemed great but the lack of service and attention to detail was unlike anything I ever experienced.

Allie Deeb

We had the best dinner and experience at K-Paul's last night! Our wonderful waiter, Charles shared recipes and NOLA history with us and made it especially fun for my daughter who is already a little chef at 14. We tried a little bit of everything and can't wait to come back!

Trenton Judson

Loved this place!! The atmosphere was charming and warm. The staff were incredible and their jambalaya was probably the best I've ever had. If you are looking for a place that has everything you want in a New Orleans food experience, go here.

Shadi Hasan

Really the best here in New Orleans they deserves the 5 stars

Ryan S

Some if the best food in NOLA. Very well run and reasonably priced for the quality of food. I had homemade sausage and jambalaya that were both fantastic. 2 people with drinks will spend about $130 here. This is an awesome, special occasion type of eating experience. Plan on gaining at least 1 of your 5 lbs here, since you will surely gain weight in NOLA.

Dan Hecht

Great to be back. It is still one of our favorite restaurants worldwide. Food is amazingly tasty time after time. Don't miss it if you are in New Orleans

Terrence King

One of the best hidden gems in New Orleans. Great appetizer. Fried Rabbit and Fried Frog Legs. Both were seasoned perfectly. Entree was the blackened drum with crabmeat. Perfect as atmosphere with great service. I suggest you make a reservation to ensure you are able to be seated.

Tonika White

The food is amazing. The service was great. I would be back most definitely. Order the blackened drum if you like a kick to your fish.

Ceaes Peat

Absolutely phenomenal!! Love this place even as a New Orleans native, this is exactly what Cajun and Creole food is supposed to taste like! Thank you for continuing K Paul's legacy!

Michelle W

Just had a lovely donner of authentic Louisiana dishes in appetizer form. We were treated wonderfully and not rushed even though we were closing the place down

Charles Yates III

First class service and food. They are in a class of their own.

Jeanne Witt

This place was recommended by our uber driver on our ride from the airport as a "must" place to eat. He was spot on. I had the shrimp etouffee, and it was amazing. The server recommended that particular dish. All good!!

Greer Coyne

Getting a star for accommodating us without a reservation and so close to closing BUT that is all. The condescending attitude of both the hostess and the waitress was all we could take before walking out.

Donna Neftin

I have to admit, I went here many years ago, but it was very memorable! I will be back this summer so I can give you an update.

Nicholas Campbell

The flavors were incredible, complex and well put together. Service however was slow and unattentive.

spoony smalls

Fantastic evening. The server, Edgar, made some great recommendations. Everyone at the table was extremely pleased with their selections. Veal, tuna, beef tenders, surf and turf were all cooked to perfection. Every single bite, from the fried oysters and green tomatoes to the creme brûlée and bread pudding was jam packed with flavor. Interactions were brief and cordial, and spaced in such a way that we never felt rushed, even though we came in at 9:15. Step father in law noted that it was one of the best meals he's ever eaten, and I'll put it in the top five for sure.

Amy Miehl

Excellent service from Keifer, food was amazing and plentiful. Loved it all!

Michael Sharpe

Great place only thing that it misses is the man himself Paul himself. If you were lucky enough to experience that you know what I am talking about.

Kayla Townsend

Enjoyed my time here! The staff was friendly and the chefs even created a special vegetarian dish for me that was delicious! I was really excited for the sweet potato pecan pie, but it wasn't quite as great as I had expected. I'd definitely return, but I would get a different dessert.

Anthony Pellerin

Great food. Solid service. Really cool old rustic location.

Frederick Lopez

Great food great ambiance I will dine there again when it come back oh yeah great service

William Nathan

Dinner at K-Paul's was the highlight of our weekend in NOLA. The food was excellent and reasonably priced based on the quality. Service was just as good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Carsten Tolkmit

My surf and turf was extremely good. Wine recommendation as well and so where the first course and dessert. The waiter made excellent suggestions and was very kind. Would definitely go there again.

Jeffery Gudreaux

Been here several times. Usually one of my first stops when I'm back home. Great food and atmosphere.

Brian McGrath

This was a pilgrimage from Idaho to Paul Prudhommes place. The meal was fantastic and will further inspire my renditions of his cookbook! Brian McGrath

Edison Coronado

We came to this place to have dinner thinking ot was a regular restaurant but let me tell you that this has been one of the best choices I have made. The food quality is beyond anyone's expectations. I love the bread selection they offer its something you don't see at any other restaurant. You can't go wrong with any item you order, from appetizer all the way to dessert, everything is just delicious. I would recommend this place to friends and family. If you come to new orleans you need to go to this place to experience genuine New Orleans food.

Laura A Cameron

Simply the Best place in Nola for food and service. If you want Cajun done exceptionally right stop here. Ask for Shelia, she is one of the best servers ever...

Chuck J Nieves

Great experience!!! Service and food was phenomenal. Our waiter Zach was very attentive. Will definetily be back

Joe Finley

Awesome place. My kids still compare every chicken tender to those of KPaul and they always fall short. I will return. Awesome food. Awesome atmosphere. Top of the chart service. If you go to NO, a must visit.

Kris M

I came here as part of a group dinner that was set up ahead of time. We had a special menu just for our group in a private dining room at the back of the restaurant. Service was great. The food was very good. It was my first time having turtle soup and it was my favorite dish of the night.

Christopher Harris

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the French Quarter. Love the food and will return again.

Scott Pino

Loved the food. The server made our experience less than. I ended up spending $460.00 dollars but he made us feel like we were buying a happy meal.

Lynn Nelson

Food and service were both excellent. Our first time there but if we return to New Orleans chances are good we will return to K-Paul's.

Luis Morales

5 stars is just not enough. By far the best restaurant during my visit. This place was recommended by people I know. The overall experience was awesome. We had the best table in the restaurant. We sat by the chef's table and watched the cooks make the food. The waitress Shelia was the best. We order several dishes (6 in a group) and the food was delicious. Just be prepared to be in a coma.

Sara Hicks

we were disappointed. a year ago, we had the BEST shrimp etouffee. this year, all meals, including the etouffee were plated with a piece of deep fried meat -- chicken, lamb or veal -- as if an after thought. they wouldn't even substitute the meat for an extra spoonful of etouffee. so i had the pasta with cracked pepper and wild mushrooms with veal. i hate veal. so i just put it on another plate, didn't eat it, but enjoyed the pasta. we likely won't go back.

Valentine GIbson

Sadly, my poor rating does not reflect my culinary experience, but yet a very distasteful social one. In short, we asked for our names to be put on the waiting list on a busy Saturday night. After some time we checked in with the host and were surprised to know that he never placed our names on the list. Rather than being at least cordial or apologetic, he became very dismissive and passive aggressive and asked us to step to the side. He claimed that it was a busy night and perhaps we could come back in two hours or so. Because we were out of town celebrating a friend's birthday, we stated that we could wait at the bar. He then intimated that the bar wouldn't have time for us either. "There may not be enough space at the bar, and I don't want to overwhelm them." I hate to speculate as to his motivation, or lack thereof, however our party was exclusively African-American (doctors, nurses, and educators) and our "experience" was noted by several in the restaurant. Unfortunately, this may be a great restaurant, but perhaps only for a select few.

Frank Sanles

Outstanding food and experience

John Meadows

Food was outstanding! Cajun at it's best. Service, atmosphere, and food was all five star. From the Green tomato and shrimp appetizer, to the entrees (blackened surf & turf & Jumbalaya), and the to die for bread puddig for dessert. All top notch. Highly recommend.

Scott Hansen

It was good but almost everything on the menu was blackened seasoned/cooked

Barbara Providence

Food would of been better if it was at least warm

Anwar

2 of the entrees (veal and chicken) were too salty.... just on the edge of inedible. The appetizers were very good. The dessert was mediocre.

Joan Greer

I had not visited K-Paul’s in many years. It’s still wonderful. Great service and the food is awesome.

Dave Pierson

Still great! I've been here a number of times over the past 25 years. This was the first time since the fat man passed away. It was almost as good. We had a late reservation, and were seated upstairs. Service was impeccable. And almost the entire time, executive chef Paul Miller was watching the dining room and the kitchen from the expo window. You can tell he wasn't going to let the place slip. Still one of my favorite restaurants, anywhere...

Marissa Joers

We enjoyed the Blackened Twin Beef Tenders with Debris, as well as the Bread Pudding with Hard Sauce for desert. Food was exceptional, the staff was caring, and the restaurant has a great history. A must-try!

Wayne Woodhall

Great food, the drum fish was so good.

Trista Allen

Fabulous, as usual. Great service and food. Caesar salad, turtle soup and soft shell crab was amazing! Overeating the bread kept me from dessert. I have never had a bad meal at K-Paul's.

Ashley Brown

The service was great, despite being packed on a Saturday night. Unfortunately the food just wasn't up to par. Veggies tasted frozen, everything was over salted to the point of being inedible. With so much amazing food in NOLA, give this place a miss.

Michael R

Entertaining out-of-town military guests and wanted them to have a taste of real Cajun food. As a fan of Paul P's food, we came here on a Tuesday evening. Though reservations are recommended we were able to get a table for three walking in around 7 P.M. We had to wait for a table to be cleared and set, but the bartender took our orders and a cook Abita Amber made the time fly by. Once seated we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp Chipotle Remoulade and Grilled Andouille as appetizers. Expertly prepared, these did not disappoint my guests. For entrees we had the Atchafalya Pasta and the Soft Shell Crab with Shrimp Etouffee. These are LARGE portions and accentuate the Cajun flavors of Louisiana. I recommend K-Paul's for any out-of-town guest looking to sample Cajun fare from this renown Chef.

Jennifer Everly

Love this place. Drove out of our way to spend the night in New Orleans just to visit this restaurant. Pricey but the beef medallions in debris sauce are great. Nice restaurant only negative is noise level. But then we were back next to the kitchen on this trip...

martina green

Very good food, drinks, ambiance, & service. Was not disappointed! I ordered the shrimp & scallops pasta dish. Highly recommend.

William McMullen

Salad with onion dressing, delicious. Blackened Louisiana Drum delicious. Eggplant Pierogi with lobster, shrimp and scallops... delicious. Custard Marie, delicious. Coffee, incredible... decaf coffee...not so much..I'd avoid the decaf. Service was excellent. Value was very good.

Tom Liston

We had such a great evening at K-Paul's! The food was wonderfully presented and incredibly delicious. Our waitress was incredibly helpful, both with recommendations from the menu as well as with tips for the area and possible spots for the next morning's breakfast. I challenged the bartender with a slightly esoteric drink (a Singapore Sling) and he performed admirably. Great food, amazingly friendly and helpful staff... What more could you ask for?

Clint Riggle

What a historical classic. Please enjoy their world famous blackened steaks someday in your life. I couldn't believe how impressed I was with my first bite. You can watch the chefs creating culinary excellence and all the while the smells and aroma surrounded me. Every dish was excellent and exceeded expectations. Meats so tender they melt in your mouth but the blackened crust bit you oh so well. The stuffed pork was out of this world, and well the gumbo... Please get a cup. Thank me later in gift cards!!! Happy eating!!!

Bertha Herrera

No words can describe the flavors in this wonderful restaurant. The service was outstanding (thank you Arla). Plan on spending some cash here but worth every penny.

Chris Adkins

Food was delicious and Thomas gave us excellent service!!

adaoha lumumba

Walked in for dinner after being on the road for 3 hrs. The restaurant was busy and the front desk service was not helpful at all. We had a party of 5 and was told they weren't taking anyone without reservations until 830pm it was 745/8 pm. A couple walked in after and we told then what we were instructed when they asked about the wait. The lady said to book on open table to get reservations since they were not letting walk ins be seated and there were 830 time slots. The front desk didn't even suggest this to us. The lady booked hers and was seated at 820. I booked a table of 4 and asked if they can add another chair or if I should book a separate table since there were 830 time slots available for different table sizes under 5. The lady at the podium went to check with the manager I'm assuming the older lady was and was trying to get us a 845 time with a table that held all 5 of us. The older lady was rude and unfriendly and said no 9pm nothing earlier. Keep in mind there were 3 other slots with different table sizes that she could have just given us 1 chair to accommodate our table. The older lady was nicer to the other people that walked I after I agreed to the 9pm time I don't know if it's due to the other people being older Europeans dressed fancy and we are an African American family with kids that came straight from the road in casual attire. There were no other kids in the restaurant at the time. She didn't even smile at me when I spoke to her and was so blunt with an irritated look on her face. Shame since my dad had eaten at this establishment many times over the years and we were looking foward to trying it. Just on the corner we were stopped by a wonderful hostess for Pierre Maspero's and was seated right away and treated so respectfully by the staff. K Paul's should take notes from Pierre staff on how to treat customers.

Daniel Porter Brown

This place is soooo good. The blackened ribeye and fish are to die for. We always keep coming back every time we are in Nola

Brittni

Amazing meal & service. Authentic nola, fresh, and upscale. The bread basket was divine. Hope to come back soon!

Ross Twiddy

This was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life.... seriously. That stuff pork chop was cooked perfection and had three different types of cheeses in it. I experienced a few perfect bites. Sublime. Glorious. So on the second night in town, we went back to the place. It was so incredibly delicious we thought about it all day. The food was perfect again. The seafood, in a class by itself. One of our favorite places to eat in America!

Gary Helwig

Got invited to K-Paul's for dinner, food and services were awesome, actually got hand fed by Sheila,a sweet lesson on fine dining !!

nicholle ormondroyd

Rented the whole second floor for a work function. Was beautifully done.

Michael Torbert

Great food and service.

Daryl Thompson

Best food ever and not too spendy

Neal Rigney

Three stars only for the food. Our waiter was miserable and we had to ask 3 times for a menu. Our group had pork chop, steak, scallop pasta, and pan fried chicken. Everyone loved the food, but it took nearly 2 hours to finish only because of the miserably slow service.

David Williams

Wonderful food and service. Definitely a must. Go early and/or get reservations. It is a popular place and gets busy. Ask for Sheila. She is amazing.

Aldwin Wallace

Great service and excellent food!

Megan Connolly

Tasty food that isn't too heavy for my delicate Northern system. They cook shrimp to be so delightful and tender. Definitely give shrimp a try!

Dan Taylor

Quite possibly the best meal I've ever eaten. Certainly in the top 5. And probably the best accompanying sauces ever! A 'must go" place anytime in New Orleans. A bit on the pricey side but if the checkbook allows, you won't be disappointed!

gregory shankman

Great food and service.

Lee Plunkett

Excellent food and atmosphere. Have the surf n turf... you won't regret it.

Misty Durant

Everything we had was delicious!!! You can tell it was fresh made and made to order. The flounder and ribeye were AMAZING even the rabbit appetizer. Service was great. Definitely a must stop in New Orleans!!!!

Timmy Truong

The food was excellent and our server was very nice. The hostess was rude as hell. We had a reservation at 7:45 PM and she said since we called and made a reservation on the phone, it is through a third party to make the reservation so we didn't get a table assigned. So she said do we want to do sit at the bar, we told her no. I know we look young but we want to enjoy a nice dinner at a table not at a bar. The bartender was very rude as well. We had to sit at the bar for 15 minutes and she finally had us sit at the table. The food was amazing . The server was good.

Lisa McKim

Outstanding service and excellent food. I kind of expected a 5 star experience, but it fell slightly short for me. It was mostly just that the menu was not very extensive and the dining area was very small. Still, I do recommend it as a great place to eat when in NOLA.

Courtney King

We came here for a group dinner and it was wonderful. Sam was our server, and he did a fantastic job. He took the time to tell us about the restaurant, explain things and made a great wine suggestion. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried several appetizers, entrees and desserts and we cleaned our plates. I really recommend the drum. After dinner, we took some pics and were invited into the kitchen for pics with the cooks! Top notch everything here, can't recommend enough. Worth a trip from Seattle just to eat here again!

donnell nilles

Food was terrific had the soft shell crabs absolutely awesome. My son had blackened drum moist and flavorful. Definately worth the money.

Yumi Mano

Nice place but their food is a bit salty and greasy for me

Adam Rocha

Came here with a group of friends for dinner. Recommend making a reservation online because it does tend to stay busy. The food was delicious. Service was great. Great spot if you looking to celebrate a special occasion

Herschel Patel

Wow! This place was part of the culinary month, they had a set priced and menu 3 course meal for $38. I got the gumbo as an appetizer which was very flavorful with lots of spices. The entree was a stuffed pork chop, possibly the best pork chop I've ever had. The meat was tender and comes with the bone. Also served with greens and potatoes. Dessert was a pecan sweet potato pie which was out of this world. Easily the best meal I had on the trip

Ian Cryar

This restaurant is fanatic from the food to the service and I can’t wait to visit again.

Kelly D'Auria

Unbelievably good! Food is fantastic, with generous portions. Staff is friendly & informative. Love K-Paul's

george johnson

Food is better than the hype. Service is as great as you will find in any fine restaurant in any city. K Paul's is one of the top 3 in New Orleans.

Jarrod Childers

Great food, service was best we’ve had in town.

Greg Koszut

K-Paul's is fantastic! As many times as I have been to NOLA, I am now kicking myself repeatedly for not coming here sooner. The flounder and jambalaya are heavenly and the service was absolutely excellent. I will definitely be back and if you are at all interested the fence about partaking here please ...please....save yourself the doubt. Just go!

Kim Eikerenkoetter

If you want a true New Orleans Cajun & Creole experience you must eat here! The food is fresh, the seasoning and preparation is perfection and they give optimum service! I eat at a different restaurant each time I visit New Orleans but this is the only one I eat at more than once while I'm here!

Cici Chen

Comfortable upscale location. Worth the price, for about $10-15 more than regular places in French quarter, the food and service you’ll get it worth it. The bread basket comes with five amazing varieties. Food came quick and amazing. We got the blackened fish and pork chop.

Brenda Falkenstein

My dad was very excited to eat here and I thought there was no way it could be as good as he thought for so many years. It was even better. Great waiter who knew his stuff and gave us enough extra bread to feed an army. Everything was fantastic, from the fried oysters with dill, to the steak and eggplant, to the caesar salad, to that jalapeno bread. 10/10 and one of my favorite restaurants. New Orleans has a lot of fantastic places to eat and I couldn't say if this is "the best" or not, but I sure would recommend it!

Excellent Cajun Catfish entree with A Cajun martini in a MasonJarThis all is authentic Cajun by Chef K Paul

Tom Wagner

Amazing. Simply amazing. The blackened drum is delicate, flavorful and a perfect balance. We tried their version of creme brûlée and it is the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

Elizee Croxton

Amazing food and service! Our server Grayson was the true professional. Thanks for making the night special. Scott was very knowledgeable about the jazz scene.

Jason Davis

Food was excellent, our server was excellent. The server with the table behind ours was excellent. My only 2 problems with the place is the bartender was rude and so was the hostess. The hostess put her hand up in my partner's face. Don't treat your younger guest like that.

David Myrick

First time ever eaten this type of food. Had the frog legs they were amazing. Had the fried oysters... were amazing... Had soft shell crab dish and man was it delicious. This was Recommended by a buddy who’s lived here for 20 years.

Stephen LaGuardia

Delicious authentic French Creole dining. Reservations recommended but sometimes you get lucky. Something salty so not very heart healthy but the desserts are amazing.

Chris Williamson

Great food and service!

Andrew Choe

Amazing food. Amazing service. Best food I had in New Orleans

Bait Jobs

Great food awesome drinks. My only problem was the restrooms were not clean for such a reputed established place. The spicy martini is to die for. Food is worth the price you are spending on it.

Gwendolyn Wallace

Everything was absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable.

I got the veal entree that apparently died in the window. As soon as I cut into it, the whole cutlet slid out of the breading. I dont even know what the sauce was supposed to taste like bc the veal breading sucked it all up. I should have sent it back, but we waited like 40 mins after our appetizers to get our entrees. It was a plate of mush between the cooked to death vegetables and pureed potatoes. The server didnt come back until the end for me to tell him. I ate the veal and left all the breading with the veggies and potatoes. Everyone else's food was good, mine probably got sauced waaaaay ahead of the other entrees. The experience I had was not equal to the amount I paid and at $32 an entree, the cooks should know better.

Excellent food great service Server Sheila turned into great photographer

Allison Briceland

The food was good, service was wonderful, we sat upstairs and it was full but unlike many other places we visited on our trip the volume level was perfect. It was a nice enjoyable lunch! The carrot muffins were tasty!

Laura Ray

Best meal we had while visiting NOLA!!! The stuffed pork chop was so good and their version if a twice baked potato was crazy good. I had and eggplant canoe filled with seafood. It was quite good too. Very large servings so go there hungry.

Armand Hammer

Great service. Meal was sub-par, not cold, not hot... Wine list is extensive, however the bottle prices are about 10-20% higher than should be. Total meal price was higher than comparable restaurants.

Chris Dier

Delicious! I started off with the hearty corn and andouille soup cooked in a dark roux. For the entree, I ordered the surf-and-turf special - Louisiana blackened drum served with drawn butter and topped with crawfish tails, a medium-rare steak, green beans, and rice (I substituted the mashed potatoes for their rice). Lastly, I had the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was one of the best I've ever had. Nothing disappointed. Glad to see the legacy of Paul Prudhomme, who trained so many other famed chefs (e.g., Aarón Sanchez), still going strong. Proud to have this staple in my city.

Best ribeye steak and fried green to.atoes in town! Came highly recommended, and did not disappoint!

Great dining experience. Sheila convinced us to get the Drum to go along with the Beef Tenders And Debris. I highly recommend this place.

Jenee Patterson

This rating has nothing to do with the kitchen it’s all front house. Super rude condescending young waitress. A hostess with nothing but a frown. On their behalf we walked in at 9 after a massage and just wanted a glass of wine and split a dinner at the bar but it was shut down. They did seat us but we’re definitely not putting up with their lovely attitudes. We went to old faithful Cochons and service and food was excellent.

Kendall Phillips

The food was great very tasty, but the waiter we had just wasn't that nice, or timely with food and service. Now I don't like writing bad reviews but she just made our experience bad.

Nancy Newsom

Had the chefs table and so much fun to watch the chefs. Food was great and our waitress Shelia was fantastic. A great experience.
