It was ok. Not awful. The service was subpar, but pretty much on point w/what I've learned to expect in the parish. There's a fine line between "personable" & rude & folks around here just have a hard time distinguishing the two. But, again, it's what I expect. I know now to drive a few mins into the city to get a great meal w/great service. I don't think I'd go back here, even if someone else was paying. There was just nothing special about it. Just typical greasy bar food and I graduated from college 20yrs ago.

Went there for a pre-season game and the place was hoping. good spirited employees. food was fast and good. free shots when we scored a touchdown. great experience can't wait to go again. get there a little early if you want a table or a place at the bar. It's not fancy a real local hangout

Only 7 miles from my house in New Orleans East. Clean, friendly, comfortable, with a full menu. I will definitely be making this place a regular stop. Edit: full service food and yet they let people smoke inside. Will not return.

Good local place, bartender seemed to know several of the patrons. Real dart boards, not the plastic ones and pool tables available. Tap beers were limited to only six, I prefer a bigger selection. Had a good time relaxing and having a few beers.

My boyfriend and I had the fried seafood platter. They were out of oysters, but added extra shrimp instead........ F I R E! So good. Their house made tartar sauce is literally the best I’ve ever had. And James is a GREAT server!

I come to Desi’s a lot I love the food. The last couple of times I got Rihanna as our waitress and she is a good waitress. She stays busy because she is the only person who is working. The “manager” is ALWAYS sitting down smoking cigarettes and drinking. I love the idea of a family restaurant and a fun environment but I eat here a couple of times a month and this woman continues to work her butt off while her manager is playing every single time I come in. I have seen rihanna work the bar, wait tables, clean tables, and even clean her own dishes while several of her co- workers are partying. Even if the manager is off the clock her behavior is inappropriate. She is supposed to be representing this business at all times. Keep up the good work Rihanna you are very appreciated. (Sorry if I spelled your name wrong) Also the music is too loud.

Very nice and cosy bar where the locals mostly hang out... I found this place accidentally and we stop for a quick bite and a drink... they have a pretty good selection with beers but I liked the food there way more... I ordered burger topped and killer fries with hot sauce and some mild sauce chicken wings... fries were enough to feed three people but the wings were awesome... everything was so tasty and fresh and we didn’t wait for to long until we have them... service was great and our waitress was so kind and she took care after as well... we had a great time there...

We eat here every Tuesday night and at least 1 to 2 other days a month. Never have a problem, clean place to eat and drink. Service great and food is greater. Try it if you are in the area. We drive an hour each way from our home because it is such a great place.

Desi's is a great place for lunch if you happen to be in Chalmette. Although Desi's presents itself heavily as a bar in both atmosphere and decoration, the lunch crowd is almost all business and not boozing. The food is decent, the waitstaff dependable, and the prices fair. Be sure to try their extensive burger menu. This is exactly what you should expect from a local Sports Bar.
