Food is okay. Ordered beef and broccoli, and it seems like the broccoli and carrots were from frozen vegetables, so they were too soggy for me. Beef and sauce was good. Spring rolls were good.

China Lotus is one of my favorite restaurants in Hammond. I like to go there as part of a group so I can order from their dinner menu, particularly in the China Lotus Originals. The Asian Pan Fried Fish is a favorite with the tomato as a special treat, among with the other vegetables. Another favorite is the Catfish Oriental with black bean sauce, onion, green pepper, mushroom, and baby shrimp. Soft shelled crabs are some of the best you will find anywhere, and their shrimp fried rice is another winner. More than anything, I like the fact that their staff is friendly. I have never had a problem, and I have been going there for *only* twenty five years now.

My wife and I were seated in a small room with 4 tables. Two of the tables were empty, we were seated at a table in the coroner where the light was out and next to a couple with two small children who never shut up the entire time. I had my back to them because my wife and I were facing a wall. You would think there were 10 kids at that table. The food arrived and it was about as bland as the decour of the building. After we received the check we never saw the waitress or any of the work staff for quite some time, so we left the money on the table. On our way out I told the life size poster of the orienital lady good by. At first glance I thought she was real...We will not return...

I am pretty much obsessed with China Lotus. I truly thought I didn't like Chinese food until I ate here with some friends. Now I love it!! Some of my faves are the spring rolls, crab meat rangoons, and Mandarin chicken! Also, they are awesome for take-out.

The food was terrible and way to expensive! Ordered two entrees and an order of fried rice and it was $41.00!! On top of that, the woman that answered the phone and was at the front counter (I’m guessing the owner) was extremely RUDE on the phone and when we came into pay!! We go out to eat often and we do not mind spending the money on good quality food! But the fact it was not even slightly good, and she was so rude was unfortunately upsetting!! We were trying to find a new spot to eat, but will not visit here again.

The server we had was great. But there was only one other table with people eating, so take that for what it's worth. The food however was very bland. The shrimp fried rice had just a little more flavor than white rice. But the portions were large. So we had plenty of bland food. We ordered 3 entrees and one appetizer. With the 20% tip the meal was nearly $100.00. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. We could have gone to Trey Yuen in Mandeville and had much better food, with a much better atmosphere for the same price. We will NOT be returning.

Food is always excellent. The greeting waitress, on 4/11, was a bit publicly miffed when I showed with a table of 8 and no reservation. Strange when the restaurant was 2/3 empty and 8-top was available. Nevertheless, our actual waitress was excellent, polite and attentive.

1st trip here, as "take out". It won't be our last and next time we'd like to sit and enjoy the ambiance. I ordered two dishes from their "Originals" menu & one from the "Traditional Favorites" menu. All we're good but the two original dishes were outstanding. We fed three adults and have enough left over for at least three more meals. BTW, you have GOT to try their Spring Rolls! Looking forward to our next visit!
