We were sat quickly and the waitress said she would be right back to take our drink order. 10 minutes later she took our drink order and walked away without taking our food order. Eventually she came back and took our food order. We sat for 40 minutes while the people who came in after us received their food. One of the other waitresses asked if we needed refills during that time. After 40 minutes our waitress comes by and tries to hand us menus to order. We explained that we had ordered and she went to check on our food. She brought our food out after 10 more minutes. Our waitress didnt even aplogize flr the wait until it was time for the check. The food was just fine. The portion size was good and my bacon was cooked well but my eggs were bland. The price isn't bad for the amount of food you get. However, the good price can't make up for the abysmal service and bland food.

Went for a second time today and got the baja chicken fajita tacos. Very good! The chicken was very tender and juicy, and it had good, green shredded lettuce on it along with chopped red onion and bell pepper. I ate for $8 and some change with the lunch portion of 3 tacos (one of Monday's lunch specials). My friend got the cheese steak and it passed muster for her, a native of PA. The service was quick and our food came out within 10 minutes I think. Great, quiet spot for a quick lunch catchup over some good food. I noticed that they have a pretty good beer selection—hope they get some beers on tap, and I'll come back for that!

Great staff, very cool interior. My eggs in a basket were amazing but my wife's french toast wasn't very good. Having breakfast options was a huge plus though! Just wish it had more unique dishes.

Avoid at all costs unless you like paying through the nose for mediocre food that will give you food poisoning. No idea where all that money goes to since he doesn't pay his employees and doesn't pay them back wages once they have to quit. Like broken glass and screaming? Sit near the kitchen! Lots has come out about this place recently and I'd consider all past reviews irrelevant at this point.

I'd leave 0 stars if possible. My husband and I met a friend in ruston for brunch and while the food was actually good, nothing else about it was. The service was quite poor and we waited over an hour for food when the place was mostly empty. But the biggest issue was the manager. We aren't sure what happened to set him off but we could hear him screaming and cussing at the entire kitchen and wait staff to the point we almost left. It was beyond unprofessional.

The food was sub par at best. I'm not sure if this is common, but I had a tater tot drip grease for 30 seconds. It was very heavy on my stomach and never settled well... The atmosphere gives off a college bar vibe and reqiures you to talk loudly if they are having live music. The serivice was great, but I definitely wont be returning for the food.

I think it was okay. Been here about 7 or 8 different times and I only have a few complaints. Biggest complaint is that the pricing and serving sizes are very inconsistent. The appetizers are extremely small servings for the price that you’re paying - even though they are still really good. Also, some of the visits I wasn’t charged at all for dipping sauces, others I was charged 25¢ per cup, and the most recent $1.00. I would also like to note that the serving sizes for appetizers are even SMALLER when you order them to go. Other than that, it’s a pretty good place and the servers are super friendly.

EDIT: went back a 2nd time and there were massive improvements. Food was still good, no complaints. They moved the counter to the back, so now it doesn't block the front of the restaurant when trying to order, as well as taking names of the order. When my food came out, they didn't use my name but it wasn't too bad. Manager gave me a discount per last visit, so at least he knows how to take care of customers. I see the restaurant as still growing but heading in the right direction. ---- Had a burger, good was fine. It is basic like you would find at any sports type restaurant. Not really disappointed in the food. Problem I had was the wait and the way the service was conducted. When you first walk in you have to pay before you get your food at a register, having you block the entrance, then you find your own seat. We had some issue where they didn't have our order in the back, and waited well over an hour for all of our food. I'm also pretty sure, since they don't know who ordered what because of their odd system, they gave my burger to someone else because he called it a "cheddar sandwich" and I just mentioned I had the 8oz. He gave it to someone because he said "I'll take it if no one claims it". This place still has a lot to learn when it comes to service and making sure their clients are properly attended to in a normal restaurant. Personally I shouldn't have left a tip because I paid before I got my food. If you plan in coming, consider waiting until after your service to leave a cash tip on the table.

My friend asked for a margarita frozen but they said they did not have a blender so the waitress suggested a sweet and sour margarita on the rocks. My friend agreed to try it. After tasting the drink she realized she did not like it. She politely asked the waiter if she could have a cherry amaretto sour. Instead of the waitress returning with the drink, a man returns with an attitude asks if we would like a “pillow” and snatches the drink up. He goes behind the bar banging glasses as if he’s upset. Then he returns with the SAME drink. My friend asks if this is a cherry amaretto sour and he says no. She explains that’s what she asked for. He tells us well this is what you had to begin with. She explains she did not like the taste. He asks us, very condescending, have we ever had margaritas before and since he already made it why can’t she try it. After realizing his tone and demeanor I start to speak. Yes we have had margaritas before and this one is nasty. She would like another drink. He then “smartly” says another name for a cherry amaretto sour that we don’t recognize to make us feel dumb and continues to go back and forth about the name of the drink. He finally returns behind the bar and THROWS the glass. I proceeded to get his or the waitresses attention to let them know he did not need to make the drink and that we’d go ahead and take the check. He returns one final time to tell us he’s the OWNER, the food is on the house, and we DON’T have to come back. We had NO problem paying for the food. The cost of the visit was never mentioned. Now I understand if we came into his establishment being disruptive and difficult but we did not. We asked a simple request, to have another drink. We didn’t ask for a discount or curse at him or his staff. We just asked for another drink. He was very unprofessional and I will NEVER go back. And what made it worse, the food was disgusting. I ordered some pulled brisket tacos. The meat was dry and poorly plated. I’d ask nobody else to support this establishment.

We have enjoyed it both times we went. Love that there is another restaurant that serves breakfast in town! Menu has a lot of good options and the servers are friendly. Today the wait was a little longer as they were short staffed in the kitchen, but the owner came out and apologized and offered us a complimentary dessert, yum!

Stopped in for dinner around 4:30pm. Lots of food specials to choose from. Had a 10oz ribeye that was really good for a smaller bar and grill. Owner cooked my food and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great meal. Oh, beer was cold too.

Food was good, good price, good portion. My only issue is the only time I saw my server is when he brought my food. Was never checked on despite it being a very slow lunch hour. Had to get another employee entirely to get me my ticket. You can have a nice place, but if you hire college kids to run it you'll get college kid service.

We arrived a little before 10, seated ourselves at the direction of the server. After a bit she came and took our drink order and then after awhile longer, our food order. After about 45 minutes, we noticed that other people that had come in after us had received our food. At this point our server walked over and tried to give us menus again. We told her we had already ordered and she said she would check on it. About 10 minutes later she came back with our food. If I had seen her again before she brought our food, I would have asked her to just bring us a check for the drinks so we could go some place else. In other words, the service wasn't great. The food was ok. The blueberry's in my pancakes were all in the middle like they had forgot to add them until they were cooking. I ordered eggs over medium and they were too runny to even be over easy. The sausage patties just didn't taste good, but maybe that's on me. The sausage egg and cheese taco was pretty good.

Menu is very eclectic, but unless you’re eating breakfast (actually during breakfast time) then it’s only mediocre. The menu has no order to it and the atmosphere is stiffing. Much better places in Ruston than this, but this isn’t the worst.
