This Restaurant is included in the category of Barbecue restaurant.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. BBQ was very tasty. Cowboy Candy (pork belly) was delicious along with ribs, chicken, sausage, and brisket. Definitely will return.
The Smoked Wings for Happy Hour and the $1 Miller High Life Pony is my go to. The wings are delicious and spectacular. Choose your own sauce, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is so amazing. It's great to have a BBQ joint in New Orleans.
Found this place by a recommendation from the local UPS guy. When we travel we always try the local BBQ. This place is high quality BBQ. My wife and I each tried the 2 meat items. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork and burnt ends are all award worthy. Side dishes are also great. If you really like BBQ, make this a stop.
Prices are on the high end but the food is good. Ironically, the best thing I had was their Brussels sprouts, which are OUTSTANDING. The brisket was decent (but maybe that's not their specialty). I will definitely be going back to try more of the menu since they are a short walk away from my house.
Nice party room with really good food. Loved the brisket. Nice bar and convenient parking. Food is good. Location is good for this part of the city. Everything cooked on site. Chicken, baked beans and cold slaw very good also. Was not crazy about the bread pudding. Should have had some raisins! Dirty metini had way too much olive juice. But i liked this restaurant. Good food, great beer, and a nice bar. What more could you want?
Superb to say the least!! Excellent food everytime I've visited.
I love great traditional barbecue, and, to me, that comes down to brisket and pork butt, so that's what I'll comment on. Others have discussed the facility, atmosphere, and price, all of which I found to be good. The staff was particularly friendly. The pulled pork shoulder was outstanding. Very smoky in the Carolina/Georgia style, and very moist with the perfect amount of bark and fat mixed in with the meat. The brisket, however, was a disappointment. My serving came from the flat or lean section of the brisket, which is a challenge to get right. It was dry and had absolutely no fat content, and very little smokiness. The available sauces, of which little is needed on great barbecue, were very tasty and true to style, especially the vinegar/salt/pepper version for the pulled pork. Side dishes are often a disappointment, even in good BBQ joints, but the sides I tried here (mac and cheese and slaw) were amongst the best I've ever had, and my travels have taken me across Texas and through the carolinas and Georgia.
Sooooo good! Love the shared platter!
The food is excelent a but the beans are a little spicy. I love this food I recomend it.
Those brusel sprouts are phenomenal, food is great!
The ribs were tough. The chili for the nachos was amazing!
Excellent real bbq. Burnt ends and brisket are excellent. The sides are good but I miss the old remoulade potato salad!
The food was delicious I recommend to try it yummy
The eggrolls appetizer was crispy and flavorful. Ribs with bacon Mac and cheese was spectacular. Three different sauces... Spicy, Sweet, and Vinegar. All three were very good and liked Sweet the best. Loved it!!
Came here a few weeks ago when I was on vacation. Great staff. and Good food
The smoked wings were good, the side dishes were bland in taste (potato salad & baked beans), you could tell that this restaurant was not authentic NOLA cuisine/the cashiers/ waiters were not welcoming but the venue was clean... one of the cooks was very cordial...
The food was amazing, but the service provided by the bartender was horrible this guy name (Geo) was rude his co-workers was aware and no one addressed so I'll give them 3 ⭐
Great happy hour, amazing food, and a really cool spot.
Had a catered private event. Great space, great food.
A surprise find. I visited for lunch, but will check it out for dinner.
Good food we enjoyed it.
Amazing BBQ! I ordered the 2 meat combo and was very pleased. The meat, sides and service was great.
Everybody likes a different style of BBQ. This one is heavy on vinegar. Ribs very good with the hint of vinegar. Slaw also good but a lot of vinegar, a little sugar would help. Large place with a big outdoor space used for various festivals. Give it a try and see if this is your style of BBQ
Awesome place. Cool vibe you can enjoy great food and within a short walk assist local people in need. Tony the bartender does a great job and is highly knowledgeable about the area. Wife and I think a visit to central city bbq vs Nashville bbq might be needed before the new year. Awesome night and killer food and service best dinner in Nola and we ate at high end places that were also great but not true Nola feel
The pulled pork was very moist
My favorite are the mouthwatering Ribs that fall off the bone everytime!
great atmosphere, great BBQ, what else does one need?
Outstanding BBQ. These guys are getting it right. Ribs were tender and juicy, burnt ends were tasty and smoky, sides were top notch too. I'll be returning for sure, with as many friends as possible.
The place when you walk in looks and smells like BBQ joint. Drew, Randy and James took care of us. We had a tour of the smoke rooms and the different types of pits used for smoking. The Port Orleans beer on tap, I just drink beer on tap, was good. I was happy it was a local brewery. We ate jalapeno nachos, smoke rib bites, and chicken wings. We all enjoyed the food. I like to eat smoked meats without any type of sauce. The flavors were there.
Delicious our favorite place to go
Food was excellent. We had brisket and spoon bread.
Fantastic BBQ, brisket burnt ends are the best!!!! Brussel sprouts are spot on, a must try!
Holy Smokes - literally! This is a place for meat enthusiasts. Diverse menu with something for everyone. Veggies even available! If keen to try everything grab the share platter, otherwise for repeat visitors you cant go past the ribs - not saucy but slow cooked overnight for off the bone perfection! Lip smacking good!
Rip off of Cochon Butcher. Unfortunately, higher prices and lower food quality coupled with poor service and bad location will contribute to an early demise .
3rd time eating here, smoke house wings are the best wings I've ever had. Tried for the first time, pork egg rolls, did not care for that at all.
If you get anything other than the cheese fries and the ribs, then you are doing your taste buds a disservice. You must come back on another day when you decide to behave properly and have the meal that your taste buds deserve.
The smoked wings are phenomenal! I’ve had them many times and they never disappoint. Definitely worth the trip!
I’m here at least once a week for trivia night, & sometimes twice a week during football season to watch the Saints game! The food itself is good, though a little inconsistent from week to week (never bad! Just sometimes better than others, a thing you only notice by eating there all the time). The staff is friendly & remembers my whole family’s order every week. Honestly, we keep coming back for the trivia though. We’ve tried various trivia nights at places all over town, and this is by far our favorite!
Great BBQ in Nola! I went searching for the place after reading it's reviews.
The Pototoe salad was delicious. The service was great.
Good solid bbq joint. Easy parking even being in central city. Burnt ends are great when available. Dont miss the banana pudding.
Best bbq I've ever had from Kansas city to heaven! The ribs were epic
Great Great Great. 1st visit. Will not be last. 5
Best bbq in town!!!
Oh my!!! The best smoked bbq ribs roast & bruessle sprouts in the city
May be the best barbeque in town. The brisket is certainly the best in town. The main dining area gets very loud and they do have off street parking.
Really good BBQ, probably best in town. Especially loved the ribs and pork belly. Only negative was the smoked boudin, really flavorful but a bit dry. Nothing a little dunk in the vinegar BBQ sauce couldn't remedy. Speaking of the sauces! All four were fantastic!
Great spot, good food.
Nice place with really great food
I love barbecue ribs. The ribs are the best in town. All of the sides we're delicious.
Weathered torrential rain to eat here today and we were not disappointed! Brisket and burnt tips were fabulous! All of the sides were good with the exception of the baked beans which were undercooked (which is the reason I didn't give it 5 stars)
The Marley Gras Festival was great. It was my first time going, but I will be back next year
Food was cold did not taste good ..the lemonade was too sweet and watered down..lacked ambiance plus food was over priced..
Omg tooooo good!!!! Love it!!
Great mac and cheese, brisket was tough.
We had been wanting to try this place for a while but our experience was underwhelming. The cashier was not friendly and food wasn't as good as we thought it would be. For example I ordered the 2 combo plate with burnt ends, sausage, mac & cheese, and brussel sprouts. The meat was slightly above lukewarm which was disappointing and the bacon mac & cheese barely had any bacon on it. The only redeeming thing was surprisingly the brussel sprouts. If the staff was nicer we might consider coming back but I think there are better bbq places in the city.
Ribs were fall off the bone tender and the rib tips were also
Very good BBQ! Definitely would come back! Had the burnt ends and sausage and Mac and cheese and potato salad... All very tasty!
Delicious! We had ribs, pulled pork, brisket, turkey, and smoked chicken wings (surprisingly one of our favorites). The quality in the meat and sides was great. We were a little sad we missed the burnt ends (as the Mrs said it is to be expected because you don't want to have a lot of leftovers). It was a delightful atmosphere and the service was good. I loved the pickles and brussel sprouts (wanted to try so much more). The family enjoyed the mac and cheese, but it wasn't very creamy as some might expect. Drinks were good (margaritas).
Location was horrible and sausage was hard to chew. Pork sandwich was really good and brisket was kind of dry.
Excellent. Every menu item tasted fresh and home made. The pickles were great. Portions were right on for the price.
A true gem of a bbq restaurant. I liked everything about this place.
Went to an event at CC BBQ and it was great. The event space was well laid out and despite the final four crowd at the Bar, the area was quite and family friendly. There was a nice outdoor deck as well. The food was delicious and the staff was helpful. Bravo
Great food great nachos great atmosphere
I HIGHLY recommend the fried brussel sprouts and the spoon bread. The "Cowboy Candy" was RAD! The staff were kind and knowledgeable. Portions were big so split a plate... trust me! Bring your wallet too $$$ lunch for 3 was $85.
Super overhyped bbq. First and most importantly everything that came out on my plate was cold. Not one item was even warm and this made me super annoyed. The wings were so wierd and unappetizing that they were inedible
Decent pork q. expensive beers ($15 for canebrake & jucifer). 4 sauces were ok, but nothing special.
This place is delicious, the food was spot on the best BBQ and Brussels sprouts sides just
Good BBQ! 1 L❤️ve
This place made my taste buds give a standing ovation, food is on point and service is impeccable
Great BBQ. It's been a while since we have had truly good BBQ in the area. I'm sure there have been some hidden gems, but no one was polite enough to inform me if so. I guess Hillbilly BBQ in Harahan was the best for a while. This place hits the spot. Good prices, friendly staff, and a fun looking venue.
The staff is super friendly. The food had a good taste but it was not hot enough at all. Maybe we will try again. It was super clean also.
The food was good; however, the serving was small in comparison to the price.
Just Excellent food and service!
Amazing!! Will definitely return!
Best food ever, highly recommended
So good we went back for dinner the next night. And we still talking about it home in Maryland. Best potato salad Ive had in a restaurant ever. We did miss collards and corn bread which they don't serve. But the brussel sprouts we awesome
Good taste on the food. It was a special event and alot of fun.
We had a great experience! The Brisket was top notch. Would highly recommend!
The food was exceptional and the service was great. Our food was out to us quickly. The gal taking our order was adorable and very helpful. I would highly recommend this place.
it was the bomb I had five different kinds of meat I smoke these Meats by self and I was quite impressed and I got there close to closing time the side dishes are to-die-for also a must-see place you will enjoy it as much as I did
Awesome food. Best BBQ including Nashville. Just outstanding. Fried Brussels sprouts are not to be mossed.
Maybe I went on a bad day but I was not impressed but I will be giving this place another try soon. The ribs were very salty. The brisket was good but was lacking flavor. The BBQ sauces were very good. I am not giving up on this place yet. But my first impression was not a very good one. Hopefully I just went on a off day.
The food here is really good!
Amazing bbq!
Flat out AWESOME!!!
Good food tastes great they were out of a lot of things ok wanted to order the bartender does know how to make drinks best to order beer mix drinks are over priced m weak tables are sticky n not clean
Best bbq. Great customer service.
Ribs are outstanding!
Great food and service
The bartender seemed really nice and friendly. The food was about an 8 out of 10, in my opinion. Some of the staff in the kitchen could really use some customer service skills. A friend and I walked up to the counter and it took them forever to come to the counter, as 3 or 4 them glanced at us several times. When they brought the food to the table they seemed unfriendly. I would say they carried out their job but you certainly could be more friendly to people. As I observe them I noticed they were that way with everyone. Maybe I'll try coming back here in the future.
Really, really good. The brisket was one of my favorite, but the chilli was able to take the first spot for me. The strawberry lemonade was very tasty. My only complaint was the burnt ends. They weren't burnt, but just tasted like regular pieces of meat. I will definitely be going again. There is so much more I want to try!
Great barbecue pulled beef and brisket
Everything is delicious! I love the chicken wings and the pulled pork.
The best chili I have ever had. Brisket, ribs, burnt ends were all so delicious. Great customer service, the pitmaster came over to talk to each table.
Great food and speedy service.
It is sad when a BBQ restaurant has NO smoke in COLD tough meat. There are plenty of ways to get smoke in meat and you have to know how to get the meat tender. These chefs need to contact me for a few tips. I cook ribs that will make you slap your mother-in-law. Tender, smoky and hot ribs are a must for a good restaurant.
Food is Delicious, but they need to work on Customer Service, called because I was ordering the the door dash and they weren’t allowing me to choose the three meats that come along with the 3 meat special, I asked the young lady if I can place my other then call and let her know the type of meat I chose, since the app was not allowing me to do so, she said no you have to contact the app, I explained that they are charging me for the “three meats” but I’m not able to chose the three i specifically want, she said hold on and put me on hold for 5 minutes and then it started ringing again and No one answered..:.Great Food but need to work on the customer service
Wow! The food was awesome. I had the 2 meat plate with burn ends and pulled pork, my sides were fried Brussels (good) and chili made with chunks of brisket (really, really good). The beer options were plentiful and the server was great. The restaurant and outside area are well planned, super clean and hip. The neighborhood is transitioning, but parking was fenced and secure. My only complaint is the cost... $45 for 2 people to eat lunch w/ out beer or drinks. I was close to $65 with 3 beers and tip.
Amazing BBQ food, good range of beers - recommended
Pork belly burnt ends were awesome "cowboy candy"
Good food. Nice location. Friendly staff.
hands down best bbq in new orleans and maybe the world.
The food is tasty, always tender meats, quick service, polite & helpful servers. THE FOOD IS WORTH THE PRICES!!! I personally love da half of smoked chicken & their white sauce
The best BBQ in New Orleans. It’s not even close.
Love everything about this place! You do have to wait for your food a while. Twice it's happened.
The best bbq in the city. Cowboy candy was delicious. Great atmosphere. Loved the jazz music being played.
Everything is amazing! Almost everything is housemade, all their meat is always tender. The specials change daily and they are always experimenting with something new!
Food was good and service was great .But drinks from the bar suck overall will return
I came here for lunch and ate yesterday's brisket, and yesterday's pork. But I paid full freight for them. And they messed up the order. I'm sure it's good when it's fresh but reheated bbq for these kind of prices is not ok.
Food was great. Inside was spacious, easy to order.
Excellent meats, great service, and we got a tour of the facility after dinner.
I'm from east TN where BBQ is huuuuge and this is the best I've had. The dry rub is sugary sweet, the brisket chili is nothing short of amazing
I love everything about CCBBQ (great place to watch the game) EXCEPT for the fact that their brisket is dry and hard as a bone (but they claim it is only juicy if you come earlier in the day). I recommend that they learn how to keep their brisket juicy all day long and they'll become a 5 star joint.
Great Food. The pit master James was awesome
i love the brisket and the place smells so good.
I was there for a private event, pulled pork it was ok didnt had anything else from the menu
Amazing Food, Amazing Staff and what an incredible atmosphere!! Always polite and very accommodating!!! The owner is always there and both he and his staff go above and beyond to make your experience incredible!! Not to mention the food is AMAZING!!! 5 stars no doubt and definitely a MUST TRY in New Orleans!!!
Absolutely amazing place the burnt end and the Brussel sprouts is where its at omg never had it like this before everything else was ok very big place i love it good to have a party there
2 things were good the spoon Bread and ribs. Burnt ends were extremely dry. Mac and Cheese was greasy, and the Brussels were good just a little overwhelmed by the sauce they put on it. 2 stars because it was a good effort, oh and the rib tips were not tender. Just overall blah.
Absolutely the best BBQ in New Orleans! Every item we've ordered from here is amazing. The only item I would change is the baked beans, other than that this is absolute perfection and the wait time is bare minimum. You'll be enjoying your food almost as soon as you order and sit down for a minute or two. I'm a fan for life! Keep up the amazing work!
Now you need to go , good food .
Relaxed atmosphere and great eats. Met up with friends for beers & babble. It was fun.
O my goodness! You have got to go over here this BBQ is amazing yall!!! You will not be disappointed!
Probably the best bbq in NOLA, but they don't hold a candle to most Texas bbq joints. Over priced as well.
Food was good but too much sugary sauces already on the food from the kitchen. The pork belly was too sweet to eat.
The absolute best BBQ in New Orleans or almost anyplace else. The spare ribs are the absolute best that I've ever tasted they were flavor for moist and so tender I wonder how they stayed on the bone when I picked it up. The burnt ends brisket was spectacular well seasoned very crispy at the burnt part of it and very moist for the rest of it The rub was clearly tasty and we'll seasoned. To put it simply, you have to go to the best BBQ in Texas to even come close
Where's the 6th star option?? Absolutely killer. BBQ with NOLA native touch. Funky, welcoming, great vibe, and flavor unreal. A must.
This was the WORST bbq I ever tasted in my life! The food didn’t have any smoked flavor. The smoked sausage was dry and tough. The bbq sauce was watery. The food came out quickly and I discovered why- it was cold... not even luke warm. The lemonade tasted like powdered drink mix. The atmosphere was not pleasant. It was very overpriced! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE!!!!
We love coming here. Food is always great. Staff is very friendly and like to get to know you. Usually busy, so plan your visit accordingly.
Wonderful BBQ in a casual atmosphere. Ribs, brisket, beans and corn pudding are 5 star
Great food, trivia nights on Monday, and they have a parking lot.
Great atmosphere, staff and most of all FOOD! Would definitely recommend!
Delicious!!! Had pulled pork platter with mac and cheese.
So so good. The ribs were some of the best I ever had- they needed no sauce and totally fell off the bone. The pulled pork was very good also, especially with their sweet sauce. Both orders hit our table before I even had a chance to get one of their draft beers from the bar. A robust selection of local beers makes this an even better place to visit if you are passing through NOLA!
Went to Central City BBQ for the first time and was really impressed. New Orleans is know the world over for its food but good BBQ is hard to find. Central City BBQ ranks right up there with best BBQ joints we go to when visiting Houston.
Staff was ok, food was definately waaaaay overpriced and portions were really small. They serve the food In a small lunch tray with 2 sliced pickles and 2 thin onion rings. $20 for 2 ribs and boudin with 2 small sides.... Not impressed, maybe my expectations were to high since I'm from Texas. I guess ill stick with Cajun food next time I go to New Orleans. Womp womp...
The brisket and Brussels sprouts were delicious! Especially followed by the strawberry lemonade.
Best BBQ but get it early.
I’m from Texas and I know BBQ. I was very pleasantly surprised. This place was awesome. The best BBQ I’ve had ever has outside of Texas hands down.
Service was not awesome unless you were persistent, but it was after a Saints game. The fruits were crazy good and the pulled pork was so respectable I didn't even employ the triage of homemade sauces made available. I like foward to trying more from their menu.
The brisket salad with spicy vinegar bbq was awesome!!
The food is delicious.
First experience here and this place is awesome! Smoked Brisket Pho and Pork Egg rolls were wonderful. Atmosphere and employees were great, the outside area looks very inviting when they have live music
Off da Chain Good. so far everything is good hot freshly-made I will recommend that everyone get the baked beans and the cornbread
The food is awesome and prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is fun.
Delicious as always. They were out of the brussel sprouts and boudin which is my favorite. Guess I'll have to make another trip to fill my craving.
Prices are incredibly high. Don't think it's worth the hype
Great burnt ends brisket! Pork was good too. Nice location and friendly staff
Food was great!
Love the food and hospitality. The cashier was so polite and the kotchen staff was swift.
The best BBQ in New Orleans. Period. Hard stop. Ribs fell off the bone, brisket and pork melted in my mouth, chicken wasnt dry at all, sausage had just the right amount of spice, sprouts werent soggy, mac wasnt overly seasoned, and fries went perfectly with the meat. With sweet, spicy, and vinegar sauce options, theyve got all bases covered (unless you like mustard based sauces, in which case...shame) and the outdoor and indoor spaces are very welcoming. Recommended to all! This is the only BBQ spot I've ever been to in New Orleans that I can confidently say would survive in Houston, KC, Charlotte, or any other heavy BBQ city. Prices are slightly above market, but well worth it.
Great food and atmosphere. Quick service and plenty of parking.
Had the brisket, ribs, wings, pulled pork and more. Loved the savory pickles.
My food was not hot as if it just came off the grill or something...I do not like the cornbread mash!! The meats were real tender and flavorful. The ribs are my favorite!
This is the best BBQ I have had in New Orleans, what they do they do extremely well. The spicy pickles taste like my grandmothers home made ones and that was a nice surprise. The potato salad taste like it has the same pickles in them and is made with mustard so I loved it. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the price, while this is good BBQ it isn't Texas good, and I don't pay near that much for it even in Austin, I might expect to pay that much for it in the French Quarter but as far removed as this place is I can't see it and because of that I won't be back.
Been here several times. Never a bad experience. This past Sunday however, was bad. We waited for an hour and noticed all the order numbers on the tables were out meaning the whole restaurant was waiting to be served. We canceled our order and left. Had to get to the play off game.
