Food is really good but sometimes a little too salty.

3 stars for good wait staff. Food I got was ok, not the best, what my friend ordered she said was “alright” , chips are the only good thing we both ate. The salsa tasted a little funny. Wouldn’t go back unless it was a friend or family members birthday or get together. Place needs a much overdue update.

Everytime I come here i try something new i haven't had anything bad here so far. Nachos Cancun are good, quesadillas are good, combinations diners are good, white cheese dip is awesome. But they don't give military discount which sucks

The restuarant definitely needs an update! The food was ok, the salsa was meh, the chips were good, the tortillas were horrible. I've never seen tortillas like that in my life. The customer service was everything! First time I've ever felt so welcomed in a restaurant. I absolutely did not have a bad experience there, its just, they need to work on their food.

Ate here just the other day, the waitress was great and made the best drinks. I wish I could remember her name, black lady short hair and really nice. Great place to eat with the family, friends, or night out with ol lady. Will be back soon.

The servers today were fantastic and on it despite having a table of 20 walk in right before us. Get the Nachos Cancun, you will not be disappointed (heat up the leftovers in a toaster oven ;) )! This is a staple for us when we come theought Lake Charles.

Best Mexican food in lake Charles, consistently great. Every now and then a place will open up and have good food then you go back a second time and quality drops but not cancun. Been going there for 15 years and I'm never disappointed. Sometimes we'll share a Nacho's Cancun for an appetizer and it's so good I'll get it as my meal. Thanks for all the great lunch, dinner, and even birthday meals and making me feel like family when I come in.

awful people in there!!!! we are out on parade route for mardi gras. as soon as we pull in to their parking lot some sour lady comes out and makes SURE that we were not planning on parking there. ALL the surrounding business were being friendly and accommodating parade go-ers!! i will NEVER give this place business!!

I will never eat here. We were trying to find a parking spot for the Mardi Gras parade. No sooner than we entered the parking lot a lady appeared making us leave. The whole street was blocked off so there was no way anybody would be coming to eat at Cancun anyway. The city needs to pass an ordinance that prohibits this restaurant from actively engaging in trying to block people from attending the Mardi Gras parade. The other businesses nearby were reasonably accommodating of the Mardi Gras crowd. If Cancun Mexican Restaurant doesn't want parades in front of their restaurant then they should move away from Ryan Street. Shown is a picture of their parking lot. Look at all the empty spaces that could have been used. Notice how nobody is allowed to stand on front of their property. Compare this to the second picture showing all of the parade-goers enjoying themselves in front of Casa Ole across the street! The third picture is the same lady (in the geen shirt) running more parade-goers off the property. So greedy! I will never eat here or recommend Cancun Mexican Restaurant until they learn to assimilate themselves into the community.

Has been our favorite place for quite a while. Food is always very good, service is usually pretty on point, and atmosphere is up to par. Parking lot is limited and kind of tight. Always a good experience here though!
