Great service! Great food. Really enjoyed this establishment.

Julie Mason

The worst dining experience we had in New Orleans! Cook forgot one of the orders, waitress got nothing correct, we had to repeatedly ask for things that never came. No compensation. Little apology. Party of 6. So disappointing!

Beau Vandergraf

This was a great find for a perfect, New Orleans French lunch! We'd gone the night before but got there too late so made a point to go back for lunch the following day. We were NOT disappointed! We had amazing Sazerac, strawberry lemonade with vodka and crushed mint. The fried green tomatoes with shrimp - perfect. We had the Crawfish etouffeé and seafood crepe. Both were excellent. The waiters were great too. Friendly and attentive without being intrusive and a distinctive local flair. I will definitely be back!

Kevin Sack

Excellent food, drinks, and service. Had our anniversary dinner here and it was a delightful experience. We would definitely eat here again

What is it about New Orleans that gets me in my feelings! This is a quaint little spot close to where the action's at so that you can dine in a semi-romantic setting, but still feel like you are not missing out. This little cafe has a interesting twist on some of the foods they offer, which is all good since I love experiencing new foods. Overall, I was not really impressed by the meal that we had, but I did enjoy the presentation of the food, the atmosphere and the service. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp which is two lightly fried green tomatoes topped with fresh Louisiana shrimp and a zesty Soulé sauce. I never tried green tomatoes, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I enjoyed the shrimp immensely. I also had a shrimp po'boy which was good. I was slightly disappointed that the menu items that I actually wanted to try was not available, so I guess they were just not in the cards for me. All in all, not bad. I may chance another visit.

Stacy Shanks

Decent, but there are much better places to go in the 1/4.

Molly Farquhar

Lovely place. We were visiting from Canada in the beginning of February and were so lucky to find this cafe. The inside is gorgeous and the history of the building is fascinating. When we got talking to our waitress and mentioned being tour guides ourselves who were also studying event planning, she gave us a tour of the second floor and told us about the history, and even showed us the balcony. Amazing hospitality! I’m awful and forget her name but it may have been Melissa? I’m sure she knows who she is, and I hope she knows she made our day!

Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Awesome food!!!! The bread pudding is a must have!

This probably one of my favorite places to go when in town. I usually ask for the bartender to surprise me with a drink and they never disappoint. The staff is professional, friendly, and are genuinely excited for your patronage as if they just opened. The hardest decision to make is what meal to go for and how much of the menu you want to taste. For breakfast I recommend the grits (I typically dont like grits) and for lunch/dinner the shrimp Pierre is a GREAT place to start. This is a must for anyone looking for a relaxing setting, great service, and a great meal!

Masoud Asadi

The place had a good french vibe and the collection of drinks are good. I had a Moscow mule which was ok, but not the best I've had. The foods I had here were also tasty, their jambalaya is a little less spicy than what I expected but still great and tasty and unique to their own place, the other one (I don't remember the name) was their signature brown eggplants and shrimps decorated with their own creamy sauce, it was a lot for one person, tasted good but the sauce could have been a little more tasty or spicy in my mind. Bartender was super nice and friendly.

Debra Hix

Lovely food - terrific location - thanks for lunch

Nicola Ferralis

Great food. N.O. Trio is excellent. Service is great as well. Besides. Having beignets close to a warm fireplace in winter is just perfect.

Angie Alexander

Great place to stop and get a bite. Food is always good and the prices are reasonable.

Lisa Engel

OMG !good to die for, great environment!

Ilene X

Friendly staff and excellent food.

Fred Landry

Get thear early

Chelle Kilmury

It is a lovely restaurant. We had the French onion soup, the Mont'e Cristo and the Seafood Crepe. All it was wonderful. I will be craving the crepe, until the next time we get back to New Orleans.

Jim Bell

Across from Antoines is this little place full of characters and great food. Katie at the bar is fun and makes a mean martini. Less money than Antoines but excallent.

Kim Marchan

Went for a late brunch. Food was delicious!! Drinks made by the bartender (Bibi?) were so great! Staff was A-plus. This was a great spot and more people should come for the food.

Chris Drake

Ate lunch on a Friday at Maison Soule. We were a little early but they seated us and took great care of us. The service is excellent and genuine - we felt they were happy to have us there! We started with the crab cakes. They were very good but not the best I've ever had - a bit more cake and less crab than I prefer. But very good. I got the Oysters Soule appetizer as my main course and my friend got the Seafood Crepe. We were both VERY happy. The oysters are CRISPY fried but not overcooked. They come on top of a delicious spinach concoction and all that sits on slices of french bread. The seafood crepe was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and had a generous assortment of seafood. OK, but let's get to the REALLY good part. The Nutella Crepe was DELICIOUS. I would go back just for that. The crepe was cooked perfectly with a GENEROUS amount of nutella, then sprinkled with a small amount of cinnamon and drizzled with caramel sauce. YUM is all I can say. Maison Soule is a great find in the heart of the French Quarter and I'll be back!

Staff was incredibly friendly. Great sangrias and mojitos and they are huge! Nice chill place to have a conversation and relax.

On a christmas day, we are looking for a place to have our brunch. We also wanted the place to have no queues.. I know we are asking for a lot. We tried our luck on Cafe Beignet and the line was out on the streets. Using the same ideology as those grapes are sour, we took a chance on Cafe Soule. Surpisingly this place was not as crowded as we would expect. We had our first foray at the much acclaimed beignets. We ordered the regular beignets over their banana foster specialty beignets. The cafe au lait complemented the beignets well. I ordered the crawfish omelette off the today's special menu. It was good but not really great. The staff were courteous and gracious enough to find us a high chair for our toddler from the restaurant across the road. They have a lot of varieties ini the menu, maybe some other time Good food coupled with courteous service.

charly carmona

Kevin best bartender in town! Tom Cruise has nothing on him. Cocktail part 2 !!!!!

Joyce Bryant

Nice,quiet, quaint bar with appetizers

Chris Tasber

Great food and service

Joshua Alston

Great little jazz spot

Exportcity Group

lovely cafe rustic, they served breakfast

ariel friedman

A jazz band loud enough for a room 3 times as large coupled with an underwhelming desert and drinks earned 3 stars.

Oj Rice

Food was great. The owner took care of our party personally.

Debbie Tye

This was by far the worst restaurant we have been to in new orleans!!! First off, the waiter was horrible. It seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. We ordered right away ( crab and artichoke dip, french dip, seafood crepe ) We said we were pretty hungry and to bring it out as it was ready. 15 minutes later we asked about the food and suddenly it showed up. ( People that came in after us got theirs before we did). The dip was cold, DISGUSTING and tasted like cheap crab and tuna. Other food came out and was just as bad. Crepe was full of green peppers and tiny amount of bad seafood. Nowhere on the menu does it say peppers are in it. French dip was dry and tasted like food service / school cafeteria meat. BAD BAD BAD!!!! Dont waste your time!

Slater von Essen

Perfect little brasserie. The fire was definitely a selling point on the coldest wettest day we were there. The fish of the day was spot on and the gumbo was the best we had to that point.

Tristan Cabalar

This place was good. Especially for their jambalaya and their crab dip

Kate Hooray Osmond

Waiter was bizarre and would disappear for long periods of time and then say something strange and disappear again. Then other waiter would tell him to get back upstairs because this wasn’t his section. Drinks did not come and then were wrong. Food was ok but seafood tasted wrong. Afterward, husband said his seafood tasted skunked and the men’s bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Suggested we both take a shot of vodka to ward off food poisoning. .. we shall see how this goes. As we left, two other waiters in a yelling match. Recommend you avoid. Interesting history or not, I wouldn’t trust this place again with my food, though it was a colorful experience.

Bear Energy

Excellent food and excellent staff!

Larry Clayton

It was wonderful! Great atmosphere and and food!

Robert Eichelberger

My food was not well prepared. The french fries were raw.

Frédéric Arnoux

Drinks are cheaper than most places in NOLA. The live brand was great

Dorothy DeBoise

I LOVE this place!!! The food is so tasty and the staff are super friendly! I would strongly recommend a detour to this spot. Add it to your to-do list for sure, you won't regret it!

Anh Ðào Kolbe

Just a lovely experience to be had. Chef was out of a particular ingredient so came out to apologize in person. Waitress had a great sense of humor and made an excellent recommendation for a vegetarian restaurant to try at a later time.

Myra Fabian

As a tourist, it is rare to be treated as a local. Visited yesterday and had the fabulous Vodka Raspberry Milkshake. I intended to get it to-do, but stayed because of the charming staff. Came back this morning for breakfast and a Bloody Mary *also fabulous* AND THEY REMEMBERED MY NAME. Thank you, David and Alicija. Can't wait to see if you remember me again in August!

Terri Brown, MBA

What a cool spot. Building has a fascinating history, off the craziness of Borbon street, good food and music and welcoming people. Best breakfast in the French Quarter.

Bryan Falk

Poor service and mediocre food!

Erin

David and Maison Soule were undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip. We had cocktails and an appetizer one evening, then brunch the next morning. The service was amazing, and the food was delightful. Love love love this place. Thank you, David, for treating us so well! We appreciate you! Sincerely, Erin and Robert

Ra C

Quaint interior. Food is ok

Jonnie Schoenrock

Waited 20 minutes for appetizer and then told they were out...only 3 other guests.. shouldn't have taken the kitchen more than 2 minutes to communicate to server..

William Bua

Very nice French quarter bar steeped in history. Great bartenders and staff

Susan S

Had a great bloody mary

James Johnson

Went for crepes, very good!!! Had a couple of drinks too. Both drinks were made well and were both very good!

Bernadette parson

Food was great. Owner Wendy was extremely friendly and catered to our needs.

Dawn

We stopped in for drinks and fell in love with the employees and a local guy. It was not quite time to eat so they were not busy and took plenty of time to chat and tell us about their housemade drinks!

David Traore

A marvelous NOLA experience, we ended up there drawn by the sound of great music. Music band are playing live on Fridays and Saturdays. The cucumber ginlet cocktails will be the perfect companion to enjoy live bands playing with their heart and soul. A great surprise!

Amy Lee

Tyrone K is amazing and he’s very fun and gave us great service. His personality and aura is great. He gives great drink and food recommendations, trust him ! Tyrone K is great !

Doris E

Hadn't expected to find a vegetarian po' boy but was pleasantly surprised. Lovely staff and a great location in the French Quarter. Near the fun but we could still hear each other.

Hellene Kley

What a lucky find!! We ate one night at the bar and the food was delicious!! Were back for brunch! Our waitress was wonderful. Try the house Bloody Mary!!!

Carol Hutchison

Slow slow slow service! Food was ok... nothing to write home about...

Alex Nic

It's fine. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to go but it's not bad. When I came it wasn't very busy but it still took a little longer to get sealed than it should have. Server was nice, the runner was a little brusque but not in a bothersome way. Food is ok. Not fantastic but not bad but any means. I had the French dip, and it was just that no less no more. Bread seemed a little cheap, but not as bad as the stuff at Royal Oyster House next door. Bit of a pet peeve of mine when a server drops the check before they've asked you if you wanted something else (I actually was considering a sweet crepe but guess not) so that was my only real negative with the service. Overall if you're a tourist and need somewhere with great open doors, close enough to the action to feel authentic but not Smack in the middle of it as to feel loud and trashy, check it out. If you're a local, or newly so, move along.

Shelley Riegel

Food is mediocre AT BEST, but the service is friendly. I want to give it 2 stars, but that isn't fair to the employees. We went to dinner here because of the Google reviews, but were disappointed. The shrimp in my shrimp and grits tasted metallic and were clearly from farms. I was surprised that the shrimp were both flavorless and metallic. The sauce looked like it had come out of a jar and was extremely sweet. Don't waste your money on their food. The jambalaya had little to no spice, so it was like eating salty rice. The drinks are probably good, but the food isn't. The ambiance and building are nice. Our waiter was nice, so no complaints there. Overall, I suggest going to the Gumbo Shop because their food actually has flavor and isn't slop.

Bernard Roth

Great food. Amazing service. Wendy never let my glass go empty. Highly recommended.

Sela Nock

I feel like this restaurant was great years ago, but there’s no way it deserves the 4 stars it has now. The host was great and charming, the waitress was fine too, but the food was DISAPPOINTING! Even going to the back of the restaurant to use the restroom, I was disgusted! I get that it has to keep a historical and New Orleans culture theme to it, but updates and a cleaning crew are necessary. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken wasn’t even seasoned. The waffle tasted like it was reheated. We also ordered eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes and a side of cheese grits. The eggs Benedict was cold and tough to eat (we had to ask for a new biscuit), the fried green tomato tasted plastically, and the cheese grits were hard. This was our first trip to New Orleans and we trusted this restaurant to end our trip on a good note. If you want subpar food that tastes reheated, then go here. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the host.

Simas Urbonavicius

Very good food and prices, good customer service. The place needs a little work on cleaning though. You can be antique/vintage but also clean

Peter Baevski

Great food, very friendly service. I wouldn't recommend thr cocktails here though.

Mark Williams

Reasonable food, not great service, very slow bringing food out, not just for his, the waiter serving the table next to us was blaming the kitchen for the slow service.

john appleseed

Great food, great drinks and even greater waitress! Wendy was awesome and had great recommendations. Definitely the highlight of our trip

George Pineda

Food was decent, but waitress on Xmas eve was very sweet. Took care of my puppy as well. Thanks!

J Michael Daniel

Good spot for a weekend brunch. Food was good and the wait staff friendly. No wait, either.

Dan Goldstein

Service was not good initially, but then the owner or manager took over and she was on the ball. Good place for a drink and appetizers.

Meghan Dougan

Best meal we had in NOLA. Got the crawfish etoufee (amazing) and shrimp and eggplant Pierre (also amazing). Server Suzanne was wonderful. French 75 cocktail was eh. But still highly recommend.

Kaleb Sanspree

Great place nice staff

Breanna Zaun

Pat O’Brians has nothing on their Hurricanes. If you’re looking for an authentic, DELICIOUS hurricane (or any drink) go here! Also if you’re looking for an amazing shot- the watermelon kiss is INCREDIBLE.

shelly yung

Chicken and roast beef very dry. Hack. Bread was good

Mark Grabowski

Awesome food, great atmosphere

Makenzie Jaranson

Gorgeous building with good food and a very friendly staff

Omar Leos

Good food but better atmosphere. The French 75 was strong and yummy.

Maddy H

We were looking for a nice place for a simple meal and stumbled on Cafe Soule. We had crab cakes, gumbo and crawfish etouffee. Every dish was really good and the host/server was so friendly and helpful with suggestions. The Cafe has several tables inside and a few tables on the sidewalk. We sat inside but the French doors were all open and we could hear the excitement of Bourbon St, which was about a block away, without being overwhelmed by it.

Matt Mason

Worst service I had in NO. We ordered drinks and ended up having to go get our own drinks off the bar. Multiple orders came out wrong. One never came out at all. Just bad!

BJ Bernard

Best jambalaya! The Soule Martini was delicious. The effite was good as well. Wendy our server was delightful.

Rodney Brewer

Great place

Marguerite Jarquin

Delicious, loved it. Great atmosphere & service

Bronson Hamilton

Our family ate here a while back after a long day in N.O. We were tired and cranky and just randomly picked a place to eat. Wonderful service, exceptional food all the way around, and we had a nice conversation with the chef. I had a shrimp eggplant dish that was one of the best things I have ever eaten. My brother at there a few months ago on my recommendation and said it was great. I'm looking forward to going back asap.

Chris Flanigan

My wife and I ate dinner here and listened to music. The cafe is small and intimate so listening to music was a different experience compared to some places. The food... the food was amazing. I had a grilled red snapper, and my wife had a trio of Cajun dishes. We look forward to coming back here on future trips!

Kathleen Grady

Yes, a good crepe and a good amount of filling. However, out of both ice cream and chocolate crepes, no water refills, and I wish they might not have drizzled caramel over a nutella crepe, or had mentioned it in the description. It wasn't my favorite flavor combination with the smooth nutella and a sharply sweet caramel. Good music and polite staff, though, which was appreciated.

Lexi Dunn

We had a large group of around 15. Everyone really enjoyed what they had. From the soups, to the apps then main course and finally dessert, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and service. We just about had one of everything off of the menu, and not a single complaint. Looking forward to returning!!

Patricia Wall

The food and atmosphere was great, and the host/waiter was amazing! He was very busy but still gave us exceptional service. He was even so kind as to offer us a tour and history of the building! I hope he is appreciated as much by the owner as we appreciated him!

Val Winder

Great poboy service was cool

Annie Leiby

Food was delicious! We had about 20 people in our get. I think we overwhelmed them some but enjoyed the food and would go back.

Stewart McDonald

Good value for new orleans, the steak sandwich was delicious and the cocktails were really good as well.

Carl Houghton

Nice location and atmosphere, but I came here for breakfast and I would have definitely had much better at IHOP. Crepe had to be cut with a knife. So covered with strawberry syrup I could barely taste the few strawberries inside. Cold maple syrup with the waffle. Kind of sad.

Terri Young

Wonderful selection. Generous portions. Even serve breakfast till 1:00pm for those still recovering from a night in the French quarter.

TERESA ROTH

Fabulous and great service. Quiet and cosy at night. Drinks are less expensive than the rest of the quaemrter. Some of the best food we had on our visit. Wendy is a great server. We came back for breakfast the next morning. Nice and lively staff. Great breakfast.

Angela Denton

Staff was great, mint lemonade was meh..

Kathleen mcdonald

Wonderful drinks and amazing service. Our uber cancelled on us and wouldn’t pick us up due to not going far enough. Our waiter made sure we had a safe way home.

Kelli ClassiLadi Alexander

I would NEVER EVER visit this restaurant again. Horrible service, left a tip and still wasn't appreciated by the guy with the fedora. I believe his name is John M. The worse

Ada Caceres

Fantastic brunch. Their cucumber Bloody Mary is a must.

Abdoulla Chakhbazov

We went to this place to have some crapes and beignets . Crapes were cold and rubbery and the beignets were harsh . Our waitress " advised" me to dunk them in the coffee. It looks that they were made in advance rather than to order.

YK Moby

Excellent food and cocktails. Try the Crawfish Etouffee and the Biegnets with the Banana Foster sauce. Po-boy’s highly rated too.

tommy williams

Their food is from scratch. They have a fabulous breakfast. Very reasonably priced well worth the stop by and dry

Nicole Hunter

Didn't try dinner but the mint julep and bartender were great! I also liked the decor and posters with buildings history.

Payton Paphanchith

Excellent service from Tyrone. Love the food!! Will be back soon. 10/10 recommend
