This was a delightful place for Easter Brunch. We had the super delicious Crab Florentine Benedict. It comes with perfectly fried potato cubes and fresh fruit. The crab was so fresh and tasty. And the creamed spinach was rich and delicious! A very filling, satisfying dish. We finished the meal with their famous Key Lime Pie....oh my! What a taste treat that was! Be sure to save room....better yet, start with dessert

We celebrated my son's 21st birthday here. The food was great and the prices we reasonable. I'm not sure if it was because we went there on a Wednesday night but their bottles of wine were half price. I had the rainbow trout and it was cooked to perfection. My only complaint would be is I wanted the ribeye but they ran out. It was 7:00 so I guess next time I'll be a little earlier. Jaime was our waiter and he was top notch! I'll definitely go back.

Food was fantastic! Service was equally as good. Not necessarily good for a date/special occasion, as the seating is somewhat shared (benches) and open in the area we sat in. The space is attractive and creatively designed, but can be a little noisy. The proportions of food are great for the price. They do not hold back on the sides. We loved the food and will be back.

Great feasts. The ribs! Oh Sweet Lawd Baby Jesus! Make sure you place those pickles they bring out ON the potato chips - eat 'em together, like a sweet and savory treat. Save room for Carrot Cake.

These folks are crushing it! Start off with complementary hand made chips and sweet pickles that are made in house. I had brisket, pulled pork and ribs from the lunch menu and everything was delicious! You get 4 different BBQ sauces which are all unique and flavorful. We went right at noon, so they were pretty busy with the lunch crowd, but the service was excellent and very prompt. Nina, our server, took the time to explain everything that she brought us, including each of the BBQ sauces. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated, without being overdone. Overall a very good experience and I will definitely be back, as well as recommend it to all my friends.

Very good bbq and overall food. I highly recommend for lunch or dinner. After a couple of bad brunch visits I can't recommend them for that. But stick to lunch and dinner and you won't be disappointed.

Decent but not standout. Pulled pork was good. Brisket was eh. Cornbread was dry. Free pickles and chips were nice. Brussel sprouts were super greasy. Portions are huge, and prices are high. No happy hour on Monday.

I'm a bbq addict and this has to be some of the best I've ever had! From California, and we make it a point to visit BRQ on every visit! Just a little hint, save a lot of room for their carrot cake! You will NEVER ever get a piece like they serve! We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!

My wife and I were invited to come along with something like 16 other people for some event, I still don't know what the occasion was. Anyway, we arrive, eat, and everything was fine. Then the waitress brought a single check out. At first I thought this was the grand opening, and she was bringing me a giant ribbon to cut. No, it was a receipt. I assume she brought it to me because I was the only person not suffering from the meat sweats, a condition often experienced after indulging on too much cow/pig product. When asked if we could split it, there was some arguing back and fourth about some girl who said it was fine to split the check on the phone prior, and our waitress who says it must be on one check for a party the size of a small carnival. I was simply invited to this as a tag along, I let the lady in charge of our group fight it out. Our waitress was young, and didn't want to stand down. I understand, this is a place that smokes meat and probably has several Russian butchers in the back. You can't show weakness. Anyway, after about 20 minutes (after our last troop cleaned their plate) of deliberation, she says she will go and split it up but is just dividing appetizers among everyone. My wife and I didn't eat appetizers, and split our entree, because we are weak. The rest of our crew ate an entire buffalo as an appetizer and put 3 animals on the endangered list as their meal. This means our $26 dollar meal for 2 was now $53.20 because our waitress couldn't be bothered with math. Not only that, but it took another 45 minutes and 3 attempts to get it to a nice, uneven number, with questionable items that everyone was too annoyed to break down. I give it a 3 star, because our first time going was nice. They also serve slices of cake the size of an infant, if that's your thing.

Overall we had a great experience! We reserved a table prior two days prior, which I found on the night we went really was not needed. We were seated at a high boy next to the Bar area which is where we love to be, with the t.v. to watch as well. Our server was nice, since it was our first time she made great suggestions. We have the meatballs and smoked queso for appetizers, I had the pull pork quesadillas which were great and my husband had the brisket with ribs and a side of Mac and cheese which we had to eat the next day for lunch. One of the odd things about the menu there is a bbq side and a fish side and if you decide to eat bbq but want a mac and cheese side on the "fish side" there is a $2 upcharge which I feel mac and cheese should be on the bbq menu in the first place. Also, went on LSU game night and if you want the excitement of everyone cheering for the game this is not the place we wanted to stay, but left and went to buffalo wild wings to get the atmosphere we were looking for to watch the game. Will be going here again for a quick bit with my girlfriends soon

I love roasted and smoked chicken, but am always skeptical to order because I'm not a fan of meat already drenched in BBQ sauces and prefer dry rubs. I ordered the slider trio on pretzel buns and subbed my pork for a second chicken. OH. EM. GEE!!!!! Possibly the most delicious smoked chicken I have ever had!!! I got nervous when they brought it out and I could tell it had seasonings and what looked like bbq on it... nope. Just a mouth full of the most delicious chicken on the planet!!!

Everything I had was good here. The chips and pickles brought out to start we're good. Main reason I went was to try the BBQ. Wasn't disappointed at all. It's hardly ever as good as you can make at home but restaurant BBQ can be hit or miss. I had the brisket, pulled pork and ribs. All were good. Good brisket is hard to find and this hits the spot. The sauces were good to try too. I like a good mustard sauce and there's was good. I didn't get any carrot cake but the pieces are the size of your head. No joke! I'll be back

Very rarely do you go to a restaurant and can say that everything on the table is delicious. BRQ certainly falls into that category. I had the combo that came with sausage, pulled pork and a 1/4 rack of ribs with a side of mac & cheese. Some of the best bbq I’ve had in my life. My wife’s words were “the mac & cheese tastes like a warm hug”. Perfect description for some amazing food. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

What an underwhelming meal from all aspects. Appetizer...brisket meatballs, 4 meatballs thrown upon a bed of mash potatoes. Meatballs were most certainly heated in the microwave before being served. Entre was 1/4 rack of ribs and sliced brisket. Both meats presented as cooked for the first quarter of their life over coals and hardwood, the last three quarters heating in the oven. Low to no smoke, semi dry texture...all meat somewhat rubbery and chewy. Edible, but overall just poor BBQ. The wife and I had two cocktails that were well assembled quite nice indeed. But that was the only redemption of the evening. $80 for BBQ that can easily be outdone by your shade tree home BBQ guy. Will not result in a return outing.

We came in for dinner on a Saturday with a party of 7 and had a really great experience. The high ceilings and windows keep the atmosphere light and bright. The overall restaurant volume was a reasonable level to where we could all hear each other talk. Service was excellent, prices were reasonable, and everyone enjoyed their food. I couldn't ask for more. Great place! We will be back.

This place was absolutely amazing! I came here with a fierce hangover and left with a smile on my face. The bloody Mary bar was off the chains...like a meal in and of itself! I had the pastrami grilled cheese with potato salad for a side. I highly recommend it! The atmosphere was trendy and upscale. The service was too notch too!

I had a great experience. I went during lunch to finish to grab a bite to eat and finish some work before my next appt. The atmosphere was cool the Commodores were playing and the sun was shining through all the glass doors. I know that was very vivid but I wish you could have experienced it the way I did. Oh, and besides the service and food, the sweet tea was great. I had the Shrimp and Crab sensation with the Boudin app.

The first time I went to this place not long after it opened, I really enjoyed it. The meats had excellent flavor and were cooked very well. On the most recent trip, the flavor was still there but everything was dry. I used a fair amount of BBQ sauce to help with that but there's only so much you can do. For the price, I expected better

Impressive. The pulled pork, pulled chicken, and fish tacos are all excellent. Service is great. It's hard to find restaurants these days where they get the food right and the service right. In addition it's really tough to find good BBQ in Louisiana. I'll definitely return here.

Food is always top notch!!! You will never be disappointed if you come here. They always have a chefs special. My wife had the ribeye steak which was just phenomenal!!!!! We also had the ribs(that fell off the bone), the pulled pork(super juicy and flavorful), and the sliced brisket(too much to finish). Michelle was our waitress and she is added to our favorite list when we go there from now on. Michelle was a excellent waitress. She made sure that we were well taken care of and was always smiling and had a excellent attitude the whole time. Kylie, we missed you this time, but hopefully we will see you next time we come in. We will always recommend this place to people who want a nice atmosphere and good food.

We ate here for the first time just before Christmas and it was WONDERFUL. The ribs were very meaty and flavorful. My daughter had the Redfish and loved it. My grandson ordered Nachos and we were all stupified by the size of his platter - almost bigger than he is, and GOOD! Service was excellent and the ambiance was fine. Price for the ribs was very reasonable. Other dishes were a bit more pricey. We plan to return.

Upscale BBQ joint. We came here in relax weekend gear n it was button up shirt attire feel. Not what we were expecting but hey it's BBQ lol. Pickles n chips were off the chain n complimented each other very well. Price points are a little up there but I'm no business owner i just eat food. Everything we had as far as food went was good. The sauces are good combo with the meats n helps add a little moisture to them. The meat wasn't to dry but a little more cooking n they would have been dry. All in all a good experience.

I ordered the Boudin Balls for my Husband and our Son ... To go. When I returned home my Husband opened one container and noticed the Boudin Balls were covered in pickles/pickle juice. Neither of them like anything pickle. I immediately called and told the nice young Man who answered the phone the above mentioned. The Manager immediately agreed to make me new order without pickles/pickle juice. In my opinion that is beyond FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Geaux BRQ!!! This review is about the poor service at BRQ, not the food. My friend and I waited nearly an hour to receive our entrees (the restaurant was not too busy). I complained 2 times to nearby waiters, as our waiter never came to apologize for the delay. My friend and I decided to leave without eating, and spoke to the manager, Ryan, before exiting the restaurant. Ryan apologized and told us to let him know next time we come in. That didn’t rectify the terrible service, and it’s not like you’ll know who we are next time we come in Ryan. VERY bad service from the staff at BRQ!

It's okay. Not competition level. Feels like they are trying to make BBQ feel a little classier than it is actually intended. My side dish choices didn't seem fresh. I didn't understand the tiny little BBQ sauce serving dishes. The complementary chips and pickles were tasty.

Had delivery by postmates. Super yummy meat. Got the pulled pork plate, rib plate and the shaved ribeye sandwich. Fries came soggy as expected... just put on a half sheet pan under the broiler for a couple of minutes and super yummy. The only thing for me was the pulled pork had bbq sauce mixed in ..I love straight pulled pork grilled in bigger pieces.

The chefs are creative and good. I did have trouble getting ribs without sugar, I could taste the sugar on my ribs without sauce. The green beans are spectacular! It looks like they have a station where you can garnish your own Bloody Mary. Cokes are served in 6oz bottles. All in all the food is excellent!

BBQ was dried out and oversauced but had a pretty good flavor. The ribs were better than anything else. The bartender was inexperienced. Every bartender should be able to make a Cosmo. Service was good and friendly but the food was lacking.

Had regular brisket plate. You get plenty of tender brisket and 4 different sauces to try. Comes with about 5 bites of coleslaw and cornbread. My cornbread was very dry and hard. I had the skillet beans and they were ok. You get a nice bowl of pickle chips and some homemade potato chips when you sit down.

Came in with a party of eight on father's day with no reservation. We were still quickly seated and our server Mo was great! I personally had the brisket which was a little dry but was full of flavor. Everyone in our party agreed the "hot" Tennessee bbq sauce was anything but. (As in the potato chips were spicier.) Overall, though it was a wonderful experience!!

Two words: Carrot Cake. The carrot cake is a MUST HAVE! It is enormous. 5 lbs of sheer dessert bliss. Even if you don't like carrot cake, you'll love this cake. 4 grown adults went to town on this beast for a solid 15 mins and we still had 2 to go boxes. The BBQ is pretty good. I had the ribs, my wife had the burger, my parents had a platter with pulled pork and pulled chicken. Ribs are my absolute favorite thing, I wasn't disappointed with the ribs, they just weren't my favorite. Dry rub ribs pale in comparison to wet rub, in my opinion. The ribs had a nice flavor with good bark on the outside. A little too dry for my liking. Wife's burger was fabulous, very juicy, flavorful, and served with an egg on top. She had onion rings as well and they were the best side I sampled. Again, the carrot cake really stole the show for me. I'd go back in a heart beat just to eat that spectacular cake. I love you carrot cake, I think about you every day.

BBQ is something of a rarity here in Baton Rouge but BRQ is something different. I find myself ordering non-BBQ options as I feel it is just ok. The country fried steak was awesome and the catfish is also delicious. The chips and pickles are a nice touch as well.

The food tastes great. They made their own BBQ sauce, I like the spicy mustard. The meat is tender. They have a huge bar with all kinds selections. Also you can get free chips for starter.

I’ve been pretty pleased with the service when I come here. The bartender at the bar was very informative, sweet, and attentive. I asked for sweet potato fries before, but was unavailable. Unfortunately the fries must not be fresh here. The meatball appetizer was delicious, but the mashed potatoes at the bottom were in chucks and undercooked. Great concepts on the menu, but need to fine tune the quality.

Food is delicious. From their burger to their nachos their food is always good. It is always busy in there so it is best to plan ahead with a reservation. Staff is friendly and their portions are huge!!

Wow folks try this restaurant! Not only great ribs but the variety of success is outstanding and made on site. They have great burgers, sandwiches and appetizers as well. They also have an outstanding staff and fantastic lunch and dinner choices for everyone. Don't forget the bar!
