Big Mike's BBQ is on point off the meat chain. Great prices and great service. The food also came out pretty fast . Sat down and enjoyed my meal in a friendly and clean environment. Big Mike's is the restaurant to bring your family to enjoy a awesome meal anytime of the day. Especially when you don't feel like filling up that pit outside and have to deal with the mess after everybody left you with the dishes.

On a recent trip down to Bayou Country, we decided we needed a good burger for lunch, so the search began. A few locals recommended a local cafe, but we decided to go with Big Mike's and we were not disappointed. With only two burgers on the menu, you might be hesitant to order one, but they are anything but average. The smokehouse is a really good standard burger that traditionalist burger fans will love. The BBQ Blues Brisket Burger I had was over the top with toppings and flavor. Both burgers are cooked to your preference and served with fries. Check the YouTube video review at Best Burger Adventures to see how they loaded my burger up with brisket, bacon, cheese and grilled onions. The order routine is a little different and you have to order at the counter and serve yourself with regards to drinks. They do bring the food out to you and check on you often for a great overall BBQ experience. We'll definitely stop back in when we are in the Houma or Thibodaux area and you should too!

I think its hands down the best barbeque/smokehouse in Southern Louisiana! I've lived in both Carolina's and have had smoked deliciousness from some of the best, but I put Big Mikes up above all of them. I used to get their food when they were located inside of a gas station - so glad you guys have that awesome building now! The only thing better than the food, is the staff! Keep up the good work guys!

The meats are smoked fairly well - not too dry, but could be a bit more moist. The flavors are on point and serving sizes are appropriate for the price. They have their own BBQ sauces on the table, but for some reason do not have a spicy version of the sauce, which is baffling given the region this is in. All around good food and have returned multiple times.

Really wanted to rate higher but wasn't impressed enough. Food was good, large portions and well prepared. However, this is supposed to be a BBQ place so you would think the meat was smoked.. nope, nothing, nada.. ZERO SMOKE FLAVOR. Had the brisket and it was cooked expertly, but NOT smoked. Same for the boudin , it was steamed and then grilled. The sides we're food service product that was doctored up. Canned beans with some spices added. The people we're very nice, but I'm rather annoyed that I had to wait 30 minutes for my food. They do not seem to have a handle on processing orders in the kitchen. Like I say, wanted to rate higher but just can't. Maybe I'll come back and try them again, but without smoked meat I'm probably going to pass.

Attended a meeting that was cratered by Mike's BBQ and it was delicious. I made it a point to find out where the restaurant was located so it could become one of my favorite places to dine. Truly enjoyed the food, service and the dining area is nice and cozy ( my visit was during Christmas). You won't be disappointed.

I've eaten a lot of BBQ. This wasn't all that. I had a brisket sandwich the first time I ate there and it wasn't that good. The service at this visit was better than the food. I paid way to much for the amount of food I got. The second visit I had the catfish. It was good but once again nothing special. The service was terrible and so was my tip. The atmosphere at Big Mike's is great. I guess in Houma LA. this is as good as it gets when it comes to BBQ. I must be fair I have not tried any other BBQ places yet.

Simply my favorite place to pick up a meal before a long night shift. Be warned, other people know how great the food is and because of this it can take a little while to get your food, but this is not a problem if you call ahead and place an order in advance. Once, I had to leave after paying, but before I got my food because I was cutting it too close to my shift. However, I went back the next day and they gave me a replacement on the house without me even asking because they remembered me. It's hard to beat that kind of small town service.

I eat here often and find the food inconsistent. For the most part the food is good. My last experience was on a Sunday when restaurant was opened for 2 hours and was out of chicken, spare ribs and mac& cheese. I had the baby back ribs that did not contain any smoke flavor. I sent the babyback ribs back and ordered the brisket my wife had which was smoked. I recieved the brisket to find it had no smoke flavor. I think the food was being rushed through the process to meet the demands of arriving customers. BIG MIKE, CONSISTENCY IS KEY.

If your in Houma and you like BBQ, you need to head over to Big Mike's. They really do have the best baby back rib Ive ever eaten. Their bake beans will want you wanting more. The atmosphere is cheery. Grab a menu in the mail box at the front door. The brisket is delicious so my sister and daughter says. But I always get the baby backs. Their BBQ is so good, its worth the trip if you don't live close. Make a day of it, there's always something to do in Houma.

If you are looking for a place with excellent barbecue and sides, this is the place. The barbecue was hot off the grill. The sides were prepared perfectly. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was helpful. You order for yourself, and they will bring it to your table. My husband and I had a great time on our date day!

Great spot. You have to order at the kitchen counter, they will bring your food to your table. Last of good choices. The brisket was amazing so the spare ribs. Their BBQ sauce is super delicious. Kids meal are very good too. Also they have a drive thru. I will try to make this my go to place when I'm in Houma. Free parking space.

It was our first time eating there, we were not very impressed. We believe that the intent is there for diners to have a wonderful dinning experience but it's not quite there yet. The atmosphere didn't feel warm and inviting. All the staff spoke and gave the greeting of the evening. I had a little issue with one of the dishes as well as my food was cold. I spoke with the manager and the manager apolgized amd corrected the issue and remade the meal for me.. We believe this place has the potential to be a great place to go and experience a wonderful dinning experience in the future.

I always say that if someone or a restaurant can make me enjoy food that I normally wouldn't eat or don't like, then that person or that restaurant is great. I went to a conference in Schriever, Louisiana and the barbecue was served. I normally don't eat barbecue on the regular and I was just telling my co-worker that. I had the brisket earlier and that was delicious. the meat was not dry,the barbecue sauce was sweet and the beans were so good. I took a turkey to go for home and normally I don't like turkey but again, moist meat, delicious bread...sorry for the late pictures I just was enjoying the food too much. I regret that I gave my coworker the other turkey plate.

I’ve heard about big mikes bbq for years. Finally got the opportunity to stop in and experience the place. Standing in line and see no menu. Get to the register to order and we have no idea what we want. The locals behind us said without a doubt, you should try the bbq Turkey with a slice of bread pudding. Both excellent suggestions. Portions were generous and the Turkey just melted in my mouth. Smoky flavor and just delicious. The bread pudding was damn good as well. Make sure to bring your sharpie marker so you can write on the walls! Enjoyed big mikes bbq

None of the food I had any of the times I've been there has been bad, but some of it has just been average. For the price, average shouldn't be a thing. The things I had that just came out average were brisket, which wasn't very juicy, had no detectable Smoke Ring nor smoke flavor, and the ribs which had an off texture, and also had no detectable Smoke Ring nor smoke flavor. The turkey was great. It was tender and very juicy and had a good smoke flavor. Probably some of the best turkey breast I've ever had. The sausage is quite good. The real winner was the burger, which was awesome. All the sides I've had we're pretty good. I don't see what the big deal is about the sauce. It just tastes like a generic barbecue sauce. If you're looking for BBQ in town, you'll do pretty well here.

Went here three times while working in Houma. Pulled out 2 large pieces of fat from my combo dinner. They are frequently out of items. Yes, I saw the sign that food is made fresh, blah blah but a good restaurant should never run out of a daily menu item. (Specials I view differently) Last time we went in one of my guys was rudely told that we couldn't save a table. Even though he wasn't eating that day-just waiting for the rest of us. He was told to get up and wait ( there were plenty of open tables btw) We always order big and tip big, but this place is not top on our list next time we're in Houma.

The food was okay but I expected more from what i heard about it. One thing that I definitely didnt like was how a hispinic couple with a 5 year old child came in and you can tell that was their first time there. They were waiting to be seated and no one asked if they needed a menu or help in general with ordering food. After 10 min the couple turned and walked out. I thought that was very rude of the waiters and severs not to help them.

I am from the KC area and appreciate good BBQ. My hat's off to Mike's BBQ. I have tried several of their offerings including pulled pork and turkey and the quality and the taste is top notch. The staff are friendly, but do come prepared to wait just a bit as this restaurant enjoys a good local following and you could experience a modest wait. Overall though, they go a good job and deliver a quality product. Also, the drive though window is for pick up only, not ordering.

I have been to the big Mike’s barbecue also in Houma but this new one definitely I think takes the cake. Our food was brought out to us and of course the barbecue was amazing.i ordered the brisket with barbecue shrimp which I highly recommend and for dessert we got bread pudding. There was also a pretty good band playing which made the experience overall wonderful. Their is a full bar for the drinkers
