I've had nothing but good experiences here. Live music (at times its too loud and subtracts from the atmosphere). Delicious eggs benedict. House made pork rinds. Delicious mimosas. Their menu is small so the execution on the food they have is excellent. My favorite brunch spot.
First time hitting this spot up, but was very pleased from beginning to end: eggplant chips, a BLT with fried green tomato and egg poboy sides with duck confit hash, blueberry cobbler. No complaints. And shout out to the server with the really cool name, Honor. In the middle of a brunch rush, I never felt forgotten in the thick of it and she was most helpful offering suggestions. Never wondered once if I would have to awkwardly gesture for attention to get a refill or anything because this server seemed to anticipate the needs before it was necessary There is no doubt I will visit this location again.
Best date night in Baton Rouge
The scallops with a Pinot, fantastic! Attentive service and nice atmosphere, you'll enjoy this place.
Had a cajun french dish that was weird. Will have to go back and try again
Let me be clear. This is the most underrated restaurant in BR. The truffled oysters are the tastiest dish I have had since i ate at Nino's in 2013. Do yourself a favor. Also, their desserts are crafty and tasty. Wonderful white table cloth service Great menu. Keep at it!

French Onion soup is the best
Awesome food. Excellent brunch selection. Great live music that fit the venue perfectly. Good selection of Irish Whiskey. Very nice brunch drink offerings the bacon bloddy mary was tasty but the siracha bloddy mary was even better. Worth it. Delicious lunch, perfectly cooked. My friend had the Oyster Sardou fried on a bed of spinach, and I had a trout with okra, everything was cooked to perfection. The chocolate mousse with cream is a delight.
Very comfortable and the wait staff was friendly and professional. The food was outstanding! Such a pretty place with attractive outside seating.
Great alcohol, server was slow and the food was bland.
Great food and ambience.
Excellent experience all the way around! I will be back
Food and price were on par with other similar local restaurants such as Mansurs and La Langiappe but regrettably the service was so slow and choppy that it made the overall dining experience below average.
Delicious food and great service!
Went for my friend's wedding party, the food, service, and drinks were great.
I really enjoyed this unexpected gastropub in a strip mall. Nice interior design and a well-designed menu. I tried the beets starter, which was an interesting and very tasty reconstruction of the classic beets with goat cheese. And the duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. Worth the visit. Almost forgot the addictive pork rinds that appeared on the table to start...
Phenomenal cuisine! You will love this food!
My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. The charcuterie was delicious and our entrees and dessert were great as well. Prompt and friendly service
Mediocre food with a high price tag.
My husband and I ate here tonight for our second wedding anniversary. We started with the Boudin Balls, which were the best we've had at any Baton Rouge restaurant. I had the seared salmon entree with a side of mushroom risotto (both heavenly) and my husband had the short ribs with a side of the mashed potatoes dujour (also quite delicious). We weren't expecting anything special because of our anniversary, but were pleased to find out that they offered us a free dessert of our choice. We chose the white chocolate bread pudding, which was a wonderful ending to our meal. The service was prompt and our waitress was very helpful at explaining menu items and answering our questions. Very clean and an overall good atmosphere. Highly recommended and we'll be going back for our next special occasion!
Always great experience
Always a nice brunch
Amazing from the first step inside, we had an amazing experiance both with the food as well as our server (Dean) ! Just the right amount of European flare combined with down home ambiance combines for one of Baton Rouge's best small restaurants! A++ In our book all day long and dont pass up the starter brussel sprouts!
High quality locally sourced food lovingly prepared. So glad it's among our neighborhood hangouts.
It was OK, nothing spectacular... other area restaurants much better.
Delicious, but pricey.
I have eaten there many times with friends and family. It was one of my favorites. I ordered the mushroom special as an appetizer, but it was not clear I believed they were the whole mushroom instead of being chopped up with rice and seasonings. I was surprised that the dish was not warm but cold instead. It did not taste good, so I returned it. The waitress was polite and said she would take it off my bill. My main dish, the scallops, came from the kitchen and was dropped off to my table, not by my waitress but by a man who did not stay one second. I had eaten scallops there several times, and they were always pleasant and a satisfying amount. Much to my surprise, there were only three small scallops. By this time, I was frustrated and ate then anyway. I complained to my waitress and asked to speak to the owner, but he was not there, so the manager came to my table. I told her it was outrageous to charge $25.00 just for those three little scallops. She said that was what everyone paid. She seemed not to care. I told her that I would never eat there again. Since it was not my waitresses fault, I did tip her $6.00. Jesse Jarreau
Mediocre food at a high price point, luckily there's salt and pepper on the table it saved what was a bland dish. You'll notice a trend with the entrees just combining everything on top of one another starch/veggies-protein-sauce that's because the individual items haven't the technique nor spice to standalone, it didn't make sense all clustered together, dry fish on dirty rice smothered with a can of red sauce. No. Rabbit meat mixed with cheap minestrone like vegetables and mushrooms bathed in a "sauce" of heavy cream and butter. No.
Get the appetizer in the desert and skip the entrees. Side dishes have zero taste
Fantastic! Delicious, creative food. Passionate about what they do here. Fine dining without the pretentiousness. We visit B.R. several times a year and this one is now on the list of must do when we are in town.
Beausoleil is my favorite neighborhood, casual restaurant in Baton Rouge. The menu is always changing based on the seasons - but also features some permanent staples. The appetizers are great to share and the daily lunch specials are hard to beat. Great spot for lunch with clients and/or friends and the go-to spot for a Friday night dinner and hangout - where they have live music in the Spring and Fall!
Made reservations for a large work party. Staff was very obliging. Food was wonderful.
Fantastic. We had a short wait for our food but it was worth it! The spicy chicken sandwich is delicious and, surprisingly, pairs well with the stone-ground grits.
The food was absolutely amazing. We went for brunch and then selection was great and at a reasonable price. The only negative was our waitress who seemed to forget about us. I would go back, but hopefully the service improves.
Great food experience.
Horrible service with mediocre overpriced food.
Great pork cheek sliders.
Can't afford to go very often....but it is so good when we do go. So worth the price and the service is great. And the cocktails are good too.
If you have taste buds and fund yourself in Baton Rouge, you must go here. The food is just outrageously good, the cocktails as well. If you are extremely lucky, you'll have Melita taking care of you there, she and her colleagues just gild the lily on a perfect dining experience.
Beau Soleil is a charming, upscale Louisiana Bistro, located in the Bocage Village Shopping Center, that serves authentic French dishes with a Southern flare. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the Executive Chef is from Mississippi. Judith and I went there for lunch last Saturday and ordered off their brunch menu that is available borh Saturday and Sunday with Mimosas and Bloody Mary's for $5.50. Judith ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict and I had the Crabmeat Benedict, a variation that I had never seen before. I started my meal with their traditional French Onion Soup which was the best I've ever had! For dessert, Judith had the chocolate Pot de Crème, which was heavenly, and I had their homemade Dobos Torte. Restaurants in Baton Rouge have come a long way since Hurricane Katrina, and Beau Soleil is no exception. Bravo! We definitely will be back again...
Food was delicious but wasn't hot, at best, tepid.
Overpriced for below average fare.
Delicious food
I recommend this restaurant , with 5 star dinning , service , quality of taste and preparation of the meal you ordered , the staff is extremely knowledgeable with each item on the menu , the place is nice and cozy , clean , the drinks are awesome . I can't say enough about this place , stop in for yourself bring family and friends.
We found this place online and after taking a look at their menu, decided it was worth trying. This is definitely not the quality of restaurant you'd expect to see in a strip mall anywhere. I began the meal with French Onion Soup, made with a really fantastic beef stock was absolutely delicious. Catherine had a beet salad that was beautifully prepared. For our entrees, I had Seared Jumbo Scallops served over a Chorizo risotto. The scallops were enormous, but cooked through with a delicious butter sauce and nice caramelization on the ends. The risotto was a tiny bit dry, but still delicious. Catherine had a shredded rabbit and spaetzle dish which had a really fantastic sauce. The rabbit was moist, and the spaetzle flavorful. This is easily one of the best restaurants we've encountered since we came to Louisiana, and we would gladly make the drive over from Lafayette to eat here again.
Great food and service.
I love this place! I have never had a bad meal here!
Good food
Yum
Yuck
Outstanding food!
Great food , great service
Great service, great food
Really classic spot
Great neighborhood dining experience. Truffled Oysters are amazing as are the rotating locally sourced specials.
Friendly staff. Excellant food, really Great drinks and an excellent selection of wine, liquor and handcrafted drinks. One of my favorite places!!
Excellent food and decor. Great for brunch.
Great food. Friendly servers.
We found Beausoleil when my brother came to Baton Rouge for a quick visit. We wanted to treat him to a Great Sunday brunch. Well we sure did! Everything was delicious and there was live music to boot. We work as Realtors on Sunday's so we don't get a chance to do Sunday Brunch often. I cant wait to go back it was just lovely.
Great place for an office party
Excellent service, delicious meals, reasonable prices.
(Translated by Google) Very good kitchen and nice and informed service. (Original) Sehr gute Küche und nette und informierte Bedienung.
Good food. The atmosphere is more geared toward people liking a cocktail.
So delicious! Staff was attentive and accommodating. Worth the price.
Great for late lunch, nice atmosphere, attentive service.
Great food... great service
This was a great find on our day trip to Baton Rouge! Myself and a friend went to the SFA @ LSU Basketball game and needed food before we headed back to East Texas. We googled some local restaurants and found this gem! Small and intimate location but had some really amazing dishes! Highly recommend! If we ever find ourselves back that way, we will stop again!
Great food and their 1/2 off bottles of wine special is an incredible value.
The potato gnocchi is absolutely perfect! The wait staff is very sweet and friendly.
Good service from Dave, good wine, good boudain balls (beautiful presentation of towers with sauce and pickled red onion), great potato soup, and the grilled chicken/ham/brie on croissant with Creole honey mustard...well, I'll drive back from Texas for MORE of this!!! Very pleasant ambience, though quiet because we visited mid-afternoon. Thanks for a lovely afternoon with my sister!!
I have been to a few different Ruth's Chris Steak Houses and this is by far the best. The steaks and sides made to perfection.
Traveling back from New Orleans we had a GREAT Brunch here. Live music, good crowd, and they are one of the few places that you can make reservations using the "Open Table" app; this was a great convenience for us during our trip and travels. David was our waiter and he was superb. He paid constant detail to all things we ordered. Everyone loved the gumbo, poached eggs, crab cakes, tea, coffee, and everything else we ordered. I was honestly surprised to find such a nice quaint place while traveling to the area that had great food, great service, and the ability to use an app for extra convenience. Definitely a good stop and always good to make a reservation since it stayed busy.
“Lovely lunch” Surprise find while passing through Baton Rouge. Delicious dining, we had raw oysters, fried oysters, cedar plank redfish with lemon butter, Perfectly spiced. Full bar. Enjoyed friendly impeccable service. Will be back whenever in the area!
The scallops and trout are amazing
Great service and the live music it was really good
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the selection of entrees! Good solid service also!
Noisy. Group next to us acted as if they were at a back yard picnic. Disturbing, could not talk to my wife over their raucous laughter.
Best food I've EVER had!
Best Eggs Benedict ANYwhere! I have the Crabcake Benedict & my honey has the regular. We're 68-yrs-old & have lived in many parts of the country...& I'm telling you, this is the BEST! Also great service & ambience-& we love the live music on Sundays! GO!!

Love the oyster salad.
Easily one of BR's best restaurants. Great atmosphere and FOH staff. Managers are attentive. Place was clean, and the menu is beautiful.
Try the trout, and seafood salad!! Oh my gosh I’m ready to go back for more
Delicious food served unpretentiously. Perfect for a quiet date or dinner with friends.
Great service and food
Delicious
Fantastic place for Brunch! We didn't make a reservation so we had a 15min wait which was no problem. Felt more like a 3 min wait really. Our server Jonathan was nice very informative about the daily specials and had lots of energy. Our food came out on time and hot even on a busy sunday morning. Our food was very good. The scallop app special was great and our entrees could not have been better. Try the BBLT you will enjoy it! Thanks so much Jonathan, and everyone at Beausoleil!
Wonderful food and atmosphere.
Went with family and spouse. Fairly private room. Great service, food and wine. We were all pleased. Pricey but worth a visit. The staff is nice and friendly. Special night out, I will go again.
Outstanding food and service. The turtle soup and shrimp salad are to die for!!! Thanks Chad!!!
Food and atmosphere for both wonderful. This is a fine dining establishment and priced accordingly. The 14 oz bone in rib eye was fantastic mushrooms and sauce compliment it perfectly. V Pan roasted chicken breast was slightly crisp on the outside and super tender on the inside with the pesto butter was outstanding. We did not care for the cabbage it was a bit tart sort of a vinegar flavor. The crawfish fries for the appetizer was also delightful. The oysters Rockefeller soup Was enjoyed immensely by both of us comes with a Fried oyster on top. The white chocolate bread pudding and the chocolate pot de creme was probably 2 of the best desserts we have ever had had a restaurant. We had very good service and all of the courses came out perfectly timed
Incredible food and drinks. Excellent lunch specials
Went here for restaurant week and the food and service was great!
This Beausoleil Restaurant & Bar awesome
Food is outstanding. Nice choices on wine, beer, & drinks. Wonderful place for a night out.
“Ideal for Business Entertaining” We spent a wonderful evening entertaining out of town business colleagues and Mansurs provided the perfect setting. They seated us in the Cypress room, which allowed for privacy. Our server was well-versed on the menu and made several good suggestions to those who were unfamiliar. The cream of Brie & crabmeat soup was a great start followed......
Those grits!!! We’re amazing. The crawfish fries are ok. The fried fish was also great!
What a great meal. The entré was duck with spaetzle and tomato jam. The sauces were excellent. The brussels were fried, and had a sweet molasses style glaze. The shrimp and gnocchi was simply excellent. The peanut butter cake topped it off. We got the cake togo because we were so full after dinner. The cake was excellent!!
We had a delightful time..great food and service
Loved this quaint relaxed brunch spot in a neighborhood setting! BEST CRABMEAT EGGS BENEDICT!
By far an exceptional restaurant! One complaint, they were out of most of their specials as well as their Quail dish... However, the owner was very apologetic and did all he could to make us happy. We will definitely return as EVERYTHING else we ate was incredible. We paired the meal with a bottle of PlumpJack Merlot- which is hard to find... They had it- and at a reasonable price to!
Excellent food and service
Awesome brunch, service and atmosphere.
The brussel sprouts were great. The beef ribeye end and potatoes are definitely something again. Deliciously pleasent experience.
Our family went there for restuarant week. The food was spectacular. We started off with two delicious appetizers, crispy pork and deviled eggs. My main course was smoked duck breast and my wife had the prime rib. Both were fabulous. My son had the crawfish fries and my daughter had the truffled oysters. I would recommend any of the items we selected. One note, this restuarant would be considered upscale, and expect the bill to reflect it as well.
Pulled pork sandwich is the BOMB! The Duck leg confit cassoulet is fantastic!
Great menu. Great food.
The seafood salad was excellent..I really enjoy their raspberry tea.
Always a good choice!
I knew we should have been concerned when the parking lot and restaurant were empty at noon on a weekday. Service was incredibly slow despite an empty restaurant, sure we had a large group but it just didn't make a lot of sense since there were no other other people when we arrived. Food took a very, very long time to come out and considering the price was very underwhelming. The menu is definitely unique and breaks from the normal "poboys and fries" around town, but we weren't blown away. Biggest complaint aside from the lack of service were the fries. Our fries were brought out HORRIBLY overcooked for anyone at the table who ordered them and the waitress actually told us "they looked way overdone to me, but I brought them out anyway." Needless to say, they had to be replaced. Just expected a lot more for such a nice looking restaurant in such a busy location.
I have many food allergies, they carefully prepared me something not on the menu to meet my needs. And the cracklings while we waited for the rest of our guest were a great change of pace over bread. Prices are a bit high, and there where zero other guests but the food was great. Hubby had pork chop and he really liked it.
Great menu with seasonal updates, quiet nice atmosphere, skillful cocktails. Always a smooth, nice experience. Be sure to go at lunch, too - really solid daily lunch specials. The pot de creme dessert is amazing.
Absolutely amazing! Everything, taste and presentation, was an example of perfection. Highly recommended.
Fantastic
cracklins !
Really nice atmosphere, their brunch is very good and reasonably priced. Attentive and friendly staff. Best time to go is Sunday when Kirk Holder is singing.
Awesome food. Excellent brunch selection. Great live music that fit the venue perfectly. Good selection of Irish Whiskey. Very nice brunch drink offerings the bacon bloddy mary was tasty but the siracha bloddy mary was even better. Worth it. A real gem of a place! Literally! I had the oysters broiled and found a pearl! This is very good luck. The food was amazing. Very fresh at turtle soup which was delightful and I highly recommend this place. I will definitely go back.
Great staff!!
This rating is really a 3.5. My wife and I have been here twice, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. The cocktails are very good; I especially enjoyed the Mississippi Mule. The scallops dish is excellent, but the "seared" tuna is not done very well. The tuna steak was not seasoned much, and the sear was not done at a high enough temperature. The result is a tuna steak that, even when ordered rare, comes out looking a little too grey. The white chocolate bread pudding was quite good.
Our favorite place to eat in Baton Rouge. Always accomidating and excellent locally grown food. Easy to eat gluten free and they understand the importance of the allergy.
Nothing special
The curry chicken salad sandwich was excellent.
Great service
Wonderful food and service.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the outside seating!!!
I went for drinks only, so I can't speak to the food. I had a wonderful Mississippi Mule cocktail which was nicely balanced. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the environment is warm and homely.
