Absolute worst place EVER! Food is over priced, small portions and they NEVER get your order correct. Now I have to take extra time out of my lunch break to take my food back because they’re incapable of taking an order properly. I asked for no onions in my lunch special and they made me pay for a lunch special AND a small rice in order to accommodate me. Never again! And her unprofessional, rude daughter is very lucky I was at work and couldn’t slap her like I wanted to! Don’t waste your time or your money. Be wise - Pick somewhere else to spend your money!

I love it. The staff is friendly and so kind and the good is amazing

Jason Bordelon

Best place in New Orleans I have tried. The food is light on the grease and big on taste. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.

Natasha Dozier

I enjoyed the Garlic shrimp lunch special w shrimp fried rice. It comes with egg fried rice so it was extra, and also comes with egg drop soup and your choice of a cho cho, spring roll or egg roll and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. I used to eat here as a child with my dad and hadn't been here in over 25 years. It was just as good as I remembered.

It was okay. Could've been better. Seems like a pretty popular place, but just wasn't for me. Sesame chicken was less than stellar.

Vietnamese is where these folks really stand out. The Chinese food is okay, but the Vietnamese makes it the best delivery option in the Uptown area

One block below the St Charles St Line Streetcar. Really good Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese food . In a small informal setting. At very reasonable prices.

August Moon is New Orleans Westbank's most underrated Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. Located off of Manhattan Blvd near the Expressway, this family style full blown menu will surprise patrons who have yet to venture here. Their restaurant even has a private room for parties and special events. The restaurant itself is pretty large and spacious which they keep clean. Walking in, a seafood tank can be seen to pick your meal and they'll cook it to your specifications. Lots of seats and tables for bigger groups and even booths for those on date night. Now to the food. The Bun Bo Hue is surprisingly legit. Probably one of the best in New Orleans period. And the Pho here is the only place my mom would eat. That says a lot since my mom is the toughest critic since she can cook it all. The broth is clean and savory. Lots of meats and veggies. Their fried tofu appetizer is crispy and flavorful making it a signature dish for most veteran foodies that come. The fried calamari holds it owns in which they add bell peppers making it a camera junkie snap away. The sautéed lobster with scallions and ginger is probably my favorite dish. It is cooked and flavored to perfection making my palate dance with each bite. My mouth is actually salivating thinking of the next time I'll be able to eat it again! If you're ever in the area, give it a try and thank me later!

No MSG! I absolutely love their shrimp Lo mein noodles. It works well with my pescatarian lifestyle. I usually ask for extra onions and shrimp. It’s walking distance from Touro and they offer free delivery to the hospital entrance on Prytania if you order at least $12. I’ve also had their steamed crab rolls. You definitely can’t go wrong by eating here.

The food was made fresh from fresh ingredients, you can tell. Not sure what people are complaining about price and portion. It's a sit down restaurant, hello staffing. If you want cheap pre cooked hole in the wall Chinese, this is not it. But it is reasonable, delicious and beautifully presented.

Adrian L. Wilson

The food is delicious, especially the lemongrass shrimp. The service is great!

I visited here for dinner today and I will definitely be going back. The atmosphere of the place is cozy since it's not very big or brightly light, but you get a sense of upscale as well. The great artwork on the walls as well as the attention paid to the small details gives it a sort of fancy and craftsmanship feel. For example the crown molding covering the entire restaurant helps ties things together while the solid wood chairs and tables are much better for the aesthetic. I ordered the General Tao's chicken, with pork fried rice and Chinese egg rolls. Everything was delicious specially the chicken since it wasn't heavily breaded to give off the illusion of bigger portions, as some places do. I would bring a date here, have a lunch meeting, meet my parents for lunch, it's suitable for several occasions.

Logan Leslie

I will never order from here again. Last time they went to the wrong house. This time they went to the wrong house again then forgot my second order of egg rolls. When I called the woman to see if they could send me the egg rolls THAT I PAID FOR she hung up and since then the past 4 times I called Ive been sent to voice mail. If it wasnt raining Id be walking to that restaurant right now but best believe I will be there tomorrow for my money. I dont care if its 4 dollars its principle.

Surrounded by the glorious architecture of the garden district, this classic Chinese food restaurant is awesome. Great tasting food, many options, and very helpful staff. The ambiance could be better. Lunch portion sizes are generous, but not excessive. I enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken.

Delicious! Their Vietnamese food has a real homemade comfort to it. Their Pho is fantastic. I'm gluten free, and even though they have very few options, they were willing to work with me on my dish. No tummy ache here!

I've ordered take out from here a bunch of times and always thought it to be delicious. My first time dining in, and I'm impressed. Very clean, nice tables and chairs and decor. Our server was very polite and welcoming. It was a great meal. Tried something new, too. THE FOOD: Started with Chinese egg rolls, which I LOVE!!! The in-house hot mustard kicks butt! The heat just pops in your nose..love it. The egg rolls are fat and crispy and burst with flavors of cabbage and veggies and pork. I tried fried tofu for the first time. Very bland on its own, the sauce is also mild. Little slices of red and orange peppers don't add much. It was good the next day mixed with other leftovers. My entree was Kung pao beef. Disappointed because it was not spicy at all. Added some hot mustard to give it kick. The beef was tasty. My girlfriend had Sweet and sour chicken. Which was great. Chicken was moist and coating was good. She also had fried rice which is always good.

Joe Hutsell

I have ate there a few the food is really good service is good. The price of the food is not bad at all

Normally, the food is great. Ordered 2 take out orders of crab ragoons to go, got 8 of them for almost $14 and none of the sauce that they include with them when you order them in the restaurant. I am not enthused.

Man I hate to be negative, but I can only speak from personal experience. The food here is not great. First of all I ordered garlic sauce shrimp, they brought me chicken. Ok fine, I'll eat it anyway. But it tasted like something from a Panda Express in an airport on a bad day. No, thank you. Golden Dragon, here I come!

Excellent Chinese food...some of the best I've ever had. I usually go for lunch and I'm a big fan of the General Tso's shrimp...yes, I said shrimp. The shrimp and sauce are wonderful, and you also get an appetizer cup of soup (dine-in only...best egg drop soup I've ever had) as well as a nice side of shrimp-fried-rice (or regular steamed rice) and an egg roll. With an iced tea, tax & tip...lunch is around $12...and I leave stuffed. The service is good as well...very welcoming staff. The decor is what you would expect in your typical Chinese place.

I made a delivery order and got 2 appetizers (steamed pork dumplings & crab/water chestnut rolled in rice paper and fried) and 2 entrees (mongolian beef & pad thai noodles). The cost was $42 which was fair for how much food I got. The appetizers were fair but something you could get from any Chinese place. The mongolian beef was good, probably the only thing I would order again. I ended up throwing away the pad thai noodle dish. I got a huge heap of noodles with chicken (by request), peanut topping, and some watery HORRIBLE sauce. Definitely the WORST version of this dish I have ever had. It was bland and the noodles were soggy. The sauce seemed to be mostly water with little to no seasoning. Maybe I just ordered something they aren't well known for but if you can't serve a basic pan-fried noodle dish with peanuty goodness sauce, then how can you claim to serve Thai food? I will say the service was prompt and the delivery guy was friendly. Order to door time was 20ish minutes and that was during prime dinner time (7ish pm). Price was fair for the quanity of food but certainly not for the quality. (*I filled in a "good" for decor, but I never stepped foot in the place. Google wouldn't let me post a review unless I answered all questions.)

I ordered food with them today and everything seemed ok. I had already ordered with them in the past, so I wasn't expecting to have any issues. Upon arrival the delivery guy asked to do an imprint of my credit card on a piece of paper. I denied and called the restaurant right away. They said this was their policy to make sure people were not using stolen credit cards. I offered to show my credit card to the driver and write down only the last 4 digits of the card on the paper. The woman on the phone insisted on having an entire copy of my card. Needless to say that the food went back. I'm sorry, but this is very, very fishy behavior. If you want an imprint of my card, have the decency and let me know before I place my order that you want one, so I can decide if I'm ok with it or not. If I was them, I would make sure my money is back into my bank account. Otherwise my bank will hear about this issue and I will have to officially dispute the charge.

I visited on Wednesday 11/7/18 at noon, the food came out quickly and was tasty. Although no one checked back after delivering the food and no one delivered the check before I was ready to leave, I would have still given a 4 or 5 star rating.... until I paid the bill. The specials boards, one outside and one inside, advertised the meal I ordered at a lower price than I was charged. When I mentioned it and pointed to the sign, the cashier got upset and said "We just haven't changed the sign" and "If you really need me to, [I'll change the price]." False advertising is illegal.
