REVIEWS OF Antoine's Restaurant IN Louisiana

We visited Antoine’s for the first time this month. It is an absolute gem! The staff is simply amazing! You can make a reservation for the lunch special and you don’t pay more than the current year. For us, it was $20.19 per person. Not to mention $.25 cocktails! The honey fried chicken was SO good! You have to try this place at least once! My first experience was an unforgettable one. I will now make it a priority to stop in every time I come to New Orleans!

Dominique Benning

I absolutely loved the environment and food. The lunch special for the year also amazing. What I absolutely hated was my service. My server name was Sterling. I watched him help other people and talked with them for awhile. He never came and took my drink order. It wasn't till someone else took my drink order that he even came and greeted me. When I finally gave my food order he shushed me when I was about to order my dessert. I would recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully they don't get Sterling.

The atmosphere was nice. Low lights. Intimate setting. Very attentive servers. but its way overpriced for what I ate. It was my honeymoon and they made us feel like royalty indeed. Would I go again? Probably not.

Troy Petrovich

Nice experience. Casual lunch. Good food. 20.19 lunch all summer. 25 cent drink specals

Elizabeth Ballario

Overall the food was good, not great but the worst part about the evening was the service. We asked for a bottle of Pinot Grigio and he brought Pinot Noir! Very low end servers across the board. The waiter came over three times telling us “don’t forget about the tip!.....Cash is appreciated.......”.

Preston Chadwick

They invented oysters Rockefeller. Classic as classic gets. And they have a bunch of interesting themed dining rooms to explore.

If I could give it a zero or lower I would!! Service was horrible from the moment we were.seated. tooK 20 minutes to get water and that's after we asked 2 times. Asked about a $150 bottle of wine and they knew knowing about the wine ... For a supposed high rated restaurant this is unacceptable. Orders a champagne cocktail that was supposed to come with lemon twist ... It was on the menu ... Waiter proceeds to dispute it finally brings out the Lemon twist in his hands ... Not on a plate and rims the glass and roceeds to throw the twist into the glass and walks away with an attitude! If they invited the Oyster Rockefeller than its false advertising ... Took one bite and sent it back very disappointed. I've never walked out of a restaurant ... tonight was a first ... Cancelled our order and left. ... Horrible dining experience

Thisnis the place ro go when you want to treat yourself. A little pricey but worth it. Our waiter was phenomenal. Wonderful atmosphere and 5 star food. I would definitely go again.

This place is truly incredible. It was our second time coming back for the $20.19 lunch special, we did the $20.18 last year. For some young post grads like me and my boyfriend, the affordable price of this meal really is the only reason we can eat at such an amazing restaurant as this. You can feel the history in the walls, the staff is kind and full of life, and the food is delicious. Its an iconic spot—one that we always save for the last meal of our New Orleans trip. I’ve never had any bad food here, and it’s impossible to beat the $0.25 martinis. Come here if you get the chance!

Flatulance Prime

Not that special. The lunch special is good enough food, but Creole Chicken was on the bland side and not very Creole. Service was ok but not great. Not a bad deal, but there’s much better food in the city.

Bonnie Harris

Antoine’s was recommended by a local, but I was sorely disappointed in the ambiance and the food quality for the price point. Our dinner for two was $136 (before tip), but the food was simply okay. Considering there are so many other places to eat in New Orleans, I would have to say I will not choose to dine here again.

I had dinner at Antoine's the other night while visiting New Orleans. It was easy to make a reservation through Open Table. I opted to go fairly early, 6:30 p.m. and was greeted and seated right away. The room I was in was really large and close to the check-in stand. It wasn't as quaint as other places I've been, but the food was certainly the star of the show. I started out with an escargot appetizer and it was delicious. The loaf of French Bread that came with each table was great with this appetizer. Opted for the soft-shell crabs and a side of cream spinach for my meal. Both were delicious and properly executed. Wait staff was on point and provided great service and recommendations. I recommend.

Elnara Mammadova

If you want to witness history of New Orleans, I highly recommend you to visit this place. The prices are affordable, food is authentic and delicious. After meal, do not forget to ask for a restaurant tour before you leave. It's worth to devote time to learn something of this ancient restaurant's history.

Amazing history and service with great food

GGG XXX

My most satisfied dining experience in New Orleans!!! Historical decorating style, cute waiter, and amazing food! Highly recommend pompano pontchartrain

Gina Guthrie

Excellent service and food.

Eleni O'Neill

This place must be some kind of institution. Food was good, not amazing. Service was beyond excellent but made me a little uncomfortable as it seemed to harken back a little too much to plantation life. I would prefer my servers chat with me a little as opposed to defer to me. The A/C was also INSANE. My daughter had to borrow my husband's button up shirt to stop from shivering. Don't come without a sweater!

Natalie

This place is a historical gem with amazing food. It's a musuem inside with so much to look at it from old celebrity visits to the kings and queens of krewes who visited through the years. Massive wine cellar. Amazing staff. Felt like royalty.

Rachel L

Try the gumbo and leave. The gumbo was absolutely delicious, but everything else was sub par and way over priced for the quality. As one of the most historic restaurants in the country, I most definitely expected more from this place.

Allan Berger

Food was fantastic!!! Grilled fish Ponchartrain with crabmeat was sooo good. Light and done perfectly. Wedge salad with house italian dressing was great. Antoines is always enjoyable .

lucy louis

I have gone for lunch 3 times and each time brought more people, the food is simply delicious, the presentation us outstandingly elegant. The servers are ever so friendly a d the lunch special is an opportunity to sample a variety of foods at the cost of the year.. $20.19. Each month they change their lunch special menu. You can tour the restaurant and see the various room that are dedicated to various Carnival krewes, along with their crowns and king and queen regalia. There is a story about each room and the wait staff knows and shares it with you...

We visited Antoine’s on our 15th Anniversary trip to NOLA expecting amazing food for the price. That being said, we left extremely disappointed. My husband’s lamb was cooked properly, but not seasoned at all, and very bland. The potatoes au gratin tasted as bland as what comes from a box. My “gumbo” was basically something pureed, with tiny little shrimp and a bit of rice thrown in. To top all that off, I wanted to try the Baked Alaska, thinking there was no way they’d mess that up - WRONG. First of all, it came to the table looking like a humongous egg on its side, already flambeed (supposed to be done table-side). The poor assistant waiter couldn’t even cut into it - it was frozen solid, even though we ordered it at the same time as our dinner, as required. We paid for our meal, but not dessert. I will never waste another $100 at this place. Service was pleasant, but the food was extremely sub-par, especially considering the dress code and high price tag.

Louise Chapman

My senior group The Fun Seekers went for lunch. Food was great and the service was over the top. We even had a tour. What a treat!

Joe T

At $20, the prix fixe lunch was tremendous. It isn't a huge amount of food, but fair portions and exceptional quality. My server was a NOLA native who burst with both knowledge and pride in his establishment and his city. The other server on duty also checked in every time she passed my table. There is an old-world elegance to everything they do, and I'm glad I went.

Emily McClintock

Dinner here was an amazing experience. It was a splurge on our budget, but it was completely worth it. Service was great, each of the waiters really took care of us, and the food was really good! I definitely recommend getting a reservation and eating here if you can!

Michael Rader

I had the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant this past Saturday evening. After being seated, it took nearly 10 minutes for a server to even introduce themselves and take a drink order. Our glasses stayed empty after the first round and our entrée arrived an hour after we ordered. The only attention we received was when we laid cash on the table and left after another 30 minutes because we were tired of waiting for our check and refills.

Joanne M

Beautiful, sunny restaurant. It is a great place to have a party - they were very accommodating. The food was wonderful and service was excellent.

Sandra Schmitt

Unique New Orleans style! Food rivaled by none. Staff very professional & friendly.

Jeffrey Pinhey

Great atmosphere and history! Jacket is required, but, saw diners in t-shirts and jeans which was a little disappointing considering the stature of the establishment. That aside, everything from our waiters, from cocktails right through to desserts, was AMAZING!!

Mav Bains

We went to Antoine's for our friends 40th birthday. It was on the top of our list of places to eat. When we arrived we were greeted by our host who had a black/bruised eye, no warm welcome, just 'follow me.' We sat in the mystery room and our server was Boudreaux. He is a kind, respectful and well mannered young man. He shared his knowledge of the restaurant and also gave us a tour after our dinner. Thank you Boudreaux! On the other hand, the food was not what we expected. Over salted, nothing to rave about truly...for what we paid, we were disappointed.

Lynn Carangelo

I loved having dinner here. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was exactly what I was hoping for. My only complaint, our server was mediocre. The water/bus boy was very attentive and so much better than our actual server. First time in NOLA and I wanted to experience Antoine's, I'm very glad we did and I recommend it.

Harold Richard

Great atmosphere, great waiters, great food

Hector Garcia

Work luncheon during coolinary "Aug" month. Food was very good. We'll have to come back for dinner one day.

Randy G

Famous french quarter restaurant.. a must when you come to the French Quarter! Bring an appetite!! Business casual or dressed up. The service is always good

Sean Lent

Best food I have eaten in years, with impeccable service. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Just go!

Marc Albert

We ate lunch there. They have a great special - a three course meal for $20.19. You can order up to three drinks of the day for $0.25 each too! The food is just plain wonderful. The charred oysters were some of the best things we’ve ever eaten. The praline bread pudding was fantastic. *** Highly Recommended ***

Jim Scott

Brunch on Sunday was relaxing and the service was attentive. The food had two notable weak spots. The oysters Rockefeller had been left under the heat strip at the pass too long and when it arrived the topping had formed a crust. The serving was dry and tired looking. Crab Cakes tasted good however again the cakes had been cooked to the point of burning the outside just short of ruining the taste. Flipping one over revealed the service was made knowing to put the worse side down. Chocolate Mousse was too thick and lacked airyness

Melissa Wright

Outstanding NOLA gem. The food and the service was unmatched. Our waiter Eddie was so great and truly was the part of what made our experience top notch. After our meal he showed us around the other parts of the restaurant and it was like a museum. Can't thank him enough.

Jane Tiller

Perfect as usual. Food is outstanding. Service. Can't he beat. Expensive but worth it.

Ted T

This is a fancy place with prices to match. The food is top notch as well as the service. There is no being rushed here whatsoever which is what I like. Seating depends on how you're dressed. Jacket tie for men and dress for woman gets you in the main dining room. Business casual attire will get you the middle dining area. Dress up like a idiot will get you in the back area next to the crapper or not in at all.

Rachel Ann

Exceptional restaurant. The food was incredible and our waiter, Rev, made our dining experience an A+!!

Blaise Vitale

Excellent lunch. Elegant location with great service. Okay to dress up (men should probably at least have a collared shirt). Lunch price is only $20.19 in 2019 (and will increase by a penny each year). Also has a daily cocktail for a quarter (screwdriver on the day we visited). Three course lunch was excellent.

Djuana Stoakley

The legendary restaurant is as good as they say and more. Try the happy hour.

Lisa McCall

Great restaurant! Wonderful food & staff..

PAULA ARMENTROUT

Second time here. Food was fabulous but the service was exceptional. Austin and David took care of us. Very professional and attentive without overdoing it. All the staff there were professional and personable. Don't just go for the food; go for the outstanding service.

Joseph G. Vallee

I went here because I was searching the city for escargot. So glad I ordered them -- the were delicious!!! Had a side of creamed spinach which was also very good. Wait staff was extremely helpful, polite and efficient.

Guillaume Rabérin

Highly recommend this unique restaurant. Incredible experience given throughout the entire night from reception, service, food... they go the whole nine yard! Special thanks to our waiter Paul, his assistant David. And Vito giving us a special tour of the 12,000 sqft facility and giving the history of five generation! They also hold the largest wine cellar in the US!

Ryan Hoff

Stopped in for some lunch after a local tour. Lunch is more casual; although I understand there is a dress code for dinner. They give you bread and butter to start. Some interesting history is described on the menu. The Rockefeller sauce with the oysters was absolutely terrible; overly salty with an entirely unappetizing appearance. This was just not my thing. Thoroughly disappointing after having LOVED charbroiled oysters at other restaurants. Otherwise, the food was quite good

Josh Love Ecksmith

I had a great visit here. I did not know the history before going. I had zero expectations. Great flavor, great service, great ambiance. Would go again. Would recommend.

Jacob Stout

Went during a big storm, and we were the only people in the main dining room. Food was ridiculously fast as a result, and our waiter was super fun. Ask for Sterling Amour. He's the best waiter I've ever had, and he has lots of great stories. He'll even give you a tour of the place.

Brad Sciullo

A dinner that places you outside of time. Its such a great and unique menu and experience that i really cant compare it but its a must. Ask for "Cheddah" to take care of your table when you make a reservation and know that the Baked Alaska is worth it and you will need about 9 people to finish it. Food and service and atmosphere needs it own rating system and make sure you take a look around the restaurant.

Crystal Dawn

Try their famous “French fries” AMAZING!

Robert Jackson

Great food, but service left a little to be desired for such an old and reputed restaurant.

Peggy C

I don’t know if it’s the city of New Orleans’ standards but cleanliness is not a virtue here. The food was average by California standards and at the end of the meal, we saw a mouse running around on the floor of the restaurant. When we called the waiter over, he seemed nonplussed about it. He even asked us if we wanted to order dessert, which we immediately declined. Additionally, he told us that mice in New Orleans restaurants are standard and if any restaurant tells us otherwise, they’re lying. Not a great way to manage a supposedly “nice” restaurant. Gross.

Bob Sarafinis

Excellent and unique food. Breaded and fried ribs were absolutely outstanding and unique. Peach glaze on ribs was superb. Tuna was cooked perfectly. Service outstanding.

Lex Lauher

Really nice. 25 c cocktails and $ 20 fall prefix was excellent

Lauren Smith

Unbelievable! The food was amazing! Service was great and the old glamorous atmosphere made anyone feel like a star!! Let me just say one more time; the food!! Was amazing!!!

Catherine Cook

Great food and service. Love it.

Trish Thornton

Hubby & I were there on 9-25-19. Guess we saved the best for our last night in NOLA. Our food was decadent & Thomas provided excellent service (along with his great helper/apprentice). All diners should try the special coffee, even if no room for dessert. But tops was our tour at the end! Sorry I don't know our guides name. Fortunately, I had seen this info from another reviewer & am so very glad I requested it. Thanks to all; we'll be sharing our experience.

Gerard Normand

It's certainly a New Orleans institution, and we have enjoyed our dinner here. The food is the star of the show, and the escargots are as good as in France. Their oysters are not my favorite, but it is a matter of the personal taste, rather than their quality. I think some of the rooms need to be redone. I love historical charm, but it's better when it has been maintained.

Kaitland Taflinger

We were so excited to go here based off of everything we’ve read. It was one of the biggest letdowns we’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. The history is cool, as well as the building it’s in, and the dining room is absolutely lovely. The food, however, was subpar and not even close to worth what we paid. On top of that, we noticed an extra $10 charge on our bill for something we didn’t order with a typed note next to it, saying, “DONT MAKE”. We obviously pointed this out, but rather than being refunded and charged the correct amount, we were given a $10 gift card to come back again. We are not local and even if we were, we wouldn’t be back here. Beautiful place, beautiful ambiance, but the food was mediocre and CHECK YOUR BILL!! **Would love to speak with a manager. Google won’t let me reply to you below.**

Welcome to Antoine's. Walking in the front door you find yourself in an elegant dining room attached to a well matched bar.... And that is where the deception begins! Antoine's is huge. Antoine's is family owned since 1840. Antoine's is absolutely dripping with New Orleans history and tradition. The food and the service are great. But do yourself a favor and take the tour if you can. As the stories are told in each of the 14 dining rooms and the paths that connect them, one is left wondering what stories are not being told. Both secrets from the past and living secrets.... Whatever one imagines -- it is certainly short of reality. Welcome to New Orleans.

Marge Smith

Always excellent food and exceptional service! Thank you again!

Shawn Vale

The best meal we had in New Orleans must go there a lot of history

Catherine Gregait

We were very disappointed in our dinner at Antoine’s. We arrived with very high hopes because it was reviewed well by people we know that have been to Antoine’s. When we arrived I was surprised at the atmosphere. I thought their was a dress code for customers so we came dressed well. People were dressed in shorts, ripped jeans, and very casual attire. I also noticed several tables that were not cleaned off from previous customers and never were the entire time we were there. We had reservations at 8:00 pm and were seated very promptly. Once we were seated we waited at least 10 minutes before our waiter even came by to introduce himself and take our drink orders. After our drinks were delivered he said he would be right back with our bread basket. Then he took our order. About 30 minutes went past and he never brought our bread basket or even came by to check our drinks. He delivered our food and didn’t even ask if we needed anything else. He just left our table in a hurry and never came back. After we finished our food our drinks were empty and we clearly looked like we needed something. No one stopped at our table to check on us. I had to ask another waiter for more water and I asked for our bread basket. The other waiter got us water and found our waiter. I asked him for the bread. He came back with one roll in a to go bag. He had apparently thought we just wanted more bread to go. WE NEVER GOT THE INITIAL BREAD BASKET. At this point I didn’t feel like dessert so we asked for our check. Our bill was $123 for two dinners. The food was good but the service was awful. I feel like the service at Chick-fil-A is better. I would not recommend Antoine’s. The price is way too much for the service and atmosphere.

Farrel Silverman

A place that has survived over 100 years can't be bad, right? Antoine's reputation precedes them, and everything was wonderful including their charbroiled oyster sampler, the rack of lamb, and dessert (their famous Baked Alaska). Lovely French Creole cuisine.

Athena Janette

We reserved a table last minute for a group of 10, the manager was so helpful in accommodating us, the waitress was a doll didn’t mess anything up and when something wasn’t right she went out of her way to apologize and get the manager to the table. I loved the atmosphere at Antoine's, I always come but my friends have never been and all their comments were they will for sure be back here Again As will I.

Megan Becerra

When we chose NOLA for honeymoon location, we made this reservation first and foremost for our trip. We are so glad we did, because the entire dinner from start to finish was delicious and the portions were the biggest we had out there for sure. Definitely recommend that baked Alaskan for dessert! You'll never forget the presentation

David Burgoa

The food is just incredible. Staff is friendly and they definitely know how to treat their customers while providing a great service

Viki G

We went to Sunday Jazz Brunch, and enjoyed the ambiance and live music. My food—I had the fried oysters with rice—was really more 2.5 stars. My husband’s steak was good, and the bread pudding was outstanding. The service was very good, especially in regards to the tour we got if the restaurant after our meal. Their wine cellar is the 2nd largest above-ground cellar in America, at just under half the length of a football field. The drinks, the service, the history... that’s why I gave it four stars. You’re there for the experience.

Aryan Manohar

Wow! Antoine's is an experience for the ages. The service is amazing here; our server even modified the dessert because he knew I would like it that way! The china the dishes are served on is historic, as is everything else in this fine establishment. It's conveniently located in the FQ. The food was great; the staff was more than willing to make accommodations on the spot for vegetarian options. And the best part? It's quite cheap for a fancy restaurant. Overall, a must-do in NOLA for any tourist.

Eva Moore

Excellent. Fancy place and so much to look at. A must see.

Sharlissa Moore

The food was terrible. I had the only vegetarian dish. It mostly consisted of overly salty canned stewed tomatoes and overcooked rice. There were a few rubbery vegetables included too. The dish had no flavor aside from salt. The puffed potatoes were also flavorless and a poor texture and the sauce wasn't good either. First and last visit.

Mariana Dominguez

A must see when in New Orleans! They're not messing around with the .25 cocktails, and the food was delicious. Our server was amazing and recommended we tour the place after eating, which we did and were blown away at the size and beauty of the place. Definitely recommend going

Aubrey Wigner

Overpriced and insanely bland. The drinks were good, but honestly, eat somewhere with flavor while you're in New Orleans. If you consider butter a spice, this might be the place for you, because even pepper was left out of Antoine's spice cabinet. My dish was broiled fish with some lump crab on top drowned in butter and cost $42. My wife had overcooked rice with overcooked asparagus and tomato chunks. Please, give your taste buds some love and go to one of the thousand better restaurants in a three block radius.

Kayla Guillory

Historical restaurant and very friendly service! I enjoyed this place (especially the bread rolls) but was slightly more impressed with the food elsewhere. I wouldn’t call it a “can’t miss” but this is a great place to go for a meal.

Jennifer Short

Rich with history and the food lived up to expectations! Our waiter was marvelous and clearly loves working there! He even gave us an after-dinner tour and invited us to look around on our own. I highly recommend the Cafe Brulot Diabolique!

Victoria Prewitt

The lunch service was not the best. They had great servers and loved the ambiance! The lunch food was very cafeteria and not fresh. Almost as if they prepared everything that morning. The dinner service was much better and was fresh and delicious!

David Pinos

I honestly do not know why I am taking the time to write this, but today I had the worst dinning experience of my life. This is the only review I have ever done in my life, yet I feel compelled to do it. The level of mediocrity that I encountered is unparalleled. I am not a food critique or specialist, but one does not have to be a graduate in gastronomy to know that this restaurant hides poor quality food behind a fine dinning facade. Even though they try to use the restaurant’s history to hide the fact that the place is dirty and of poor taste, one can just taste their food and realize it. For the first time in my life a server came up to me and asked me if I wanted a side sauce for my chips “as it costs extra”. What kind of restaurant that requires its servers to use formal attire charges extra for a sauce. To summarize my experience ill just say that, as soon as we where seated in the “back” of the restaurant the problems began. My girlfriends plate was dirty and we had to immediately ask for a replacement. We ordered what the server described as an “exquisite” dish of shrimp, and we where presented the most embarrassing meal I have ever seen at a restaurant. 10 shrimp over lettuce and some side sauce(thank god they did not charge extra). The oysters we ordered where mediocre as I could only taste the sauce. I wish that was all, but to finalize everything we where given a dessert called The Alaskan or something along those lines. In order to have this dessert prepared you are supposed to order it as soon as your meal starts. This gave me hope, I though that maybe the dessert save the day, but I was wrong. This “cake “ tasted like something a child would have made. It is frankly embarrassing that on that same day I got fast food that tasted better than my whole “meal”.

Carl Comer

Best Restaurant in New Orleans! The Food was phenomenal! Boudreaux, our waiter, was outstanding! He really took care of us. Great personality. He made suggestions on the menu and helped select a great wine to pair with our entrees. He is definitely one of the top waiters in New Orleans!

Brian Bazely

We were excited to be trying this legendary restaurant. It wasn’t what we expected nor was it close to what we read about through the reviews. First the good stuff. The wine list is extensive as they have one of the larger cellars in Orleans. The quality of the steak cut was good. Now what happened My steak had to be served with a butter garlic as I am allergic to mushrooms. I love garlic so that worked well However there was so much garlic on it the taste of the steak was ruined. My wife loves sweet potatoes so ordered a pork dish with them. The dish was 12oz of meat which is too much for her but she told the waiter that she wants them so that is what she is getting. They were out of them but rather than telling her brought the pork with fried regular potatoes. So now I had my meal and she had her second choice but without the potato she wanted. Ok my encouragement she decided to not accept and order her first choice as it is a smaller dish (lamb) and the meat she preferred anyway. The waiter brought her a spare plate so she could share my steak with me now and we told him we would share the lamp when it arrived. It arrived with a big mushroom on top. So now her meal was ruined and I gave up 1/2 of mine. There solution for ruining a night out? Take the lamb off the bill. Well hello - that of course has to happen. An apology. Got it. A free desert. Ok fine. No discount on the bill. No making the meal free. Just a reunited night where we didn’t pay for a meal we couldn’t eat and ended up with a desert. Brutal. As a side note, they wouldn’t have got a 5 rating anyway. Put our plate for the appetizer over our dirty bread plates. Never seen that. The waiter opened the wine that i ordered then asked my wife if she wanted to taste it. I said I would do that so he poured me a sample. After approving it he went to pour my wine first. I motioned to pour hers first so he did them left without pouring me any. Never had that happen before. The steak was an amazing cut but was not served piping hot as is necessary for a great tasting steak.

Lacy Hollaway

Impeccable service. Exquisite food. Could not have had a better experience. Would absolutely recommend, but be sure to make a reservation in advance!

Michelle Kennedy

Cool atmosphere and history. Food was good. Happy we had the experience.

Trent Todd

I hate leaving a rating this low, because I truly feel we were an "exception" to the restaurant's standard of service. Unfortunately, I think both our waiter and assistant waiter were having a bad day - we did watch everyone around us receive amazing service (Saturday was a slow evening), after all. I specifically told the restaurant that we were celebrating our anniversary, while making my reservation, but they never brought it up once. Also, our lead waiter, Craig, disappeared after taking our entree orders and never returned until it was time to deliver the check. Our assistant waiter never made eye contact until she was forced to take our dessert order (because the lead waiter had other priorities). The food was "fine" but nothing to write home about.

Sujata Maji

I loved this place. It's a restaurant which is hosting the celebrity chef in the town.. the food was very nice. They have a very extensive selection of wine too.. a must visit..

Christy Davis

Very nice! Wait staff very pleasant. Ordered my dinner, and the waiter came back to tell me he changed my order because he did not like the way my dinner looked. Very impressed. And the dinner the waiter changed to was excellent!

Jill Shannon

Loved the restaurant. Gregory was very pleasant and informative. Excellent service

Darryl Soal

Fine dining with some old world charm at new world prices. Some interesting menu items make for the desire to return again and again just to try them out. It is worth the time and effort to explore the cuisine and the area. Good service.

Juan Lima

First visit. Fabulous heritage and great history of the restaurant which dates back to the 1840. We had the coolinary menu with drinks costing only a quarter. Oysters were terrific and we ordered escargots as an extra appetizer. They were deshelled.

Bill Whitman

Was placed in a large room that had no music so my girlfriend said it was loud like a cafeteria which was not the ambiance we wanted, she thought maybe if soft jazz was playing in the background it may have added to the ambiance. I had a wonderful salad that had everything I like in it, like artichokes, tomatoes, and a delicious vinagrette. She had the wedge salad, which tasted like a normal wedge salad, not sure why she ordered that. For dinner I ordered the fried Gulf fish almondine with a meuniere sauce, basically a brown butter sauce. It was a perfect presentation and perfect flavor and it was perfectly cooked. It was very hot but not overcooked. I have to stress that this was the best fish I have every had. Simply prepared with a simple sauce but everything nailed. That's what I like. The only thing is I tried her dish, which was a chicken concoction with so many flavors including sweetness and it was all over the map. It wasn't good and she didn't eat a lot of it either. Now most people know that at a classic French restaurant you always order fish with sauce but she isn't a big fish fan so they should still know how to perfectly prepare chicken as well. The chicken wasn't overcooked, it's just it was all over the map. Not my style. My meal was 5 stars, hers was 3 stars so I'm averaging.

Dawn Gonzales

Had brunch at Antoine's all the while Julie Jules and her jazz band provided beautiful ambience. The gluten free options are not easily identified. But be careful to specify as even my gluten free order came out on top of bread. Their food was delicious, nonetheless. Also, be sure to take a look around. This is an establishment that just keeps going.

A NOLA landmark, outstanding service and superior dining... stop for lunch and come back for dinner (dress code for dinner service.)

The food was generally good but the service was very poor. Our server, Eddie, even asked for his tip in cash rather than on the bill. He said he didn’t want to wait two weeks for money. His assistant, Jamie needs to find another career. She was bland and uninformed about the food I would not go back Very disappointing for our one night in NO M from Oklahoma

Jamie Hilton

Most of us that went had good food, but husband's and brother-in-law's was way over salted. Brandy Alexander and Baked Alaska was the best part of the meal. Gregory (our server) was great. After our meal he gave us a great tour of the historic restaurant.

Baron Staring

Amazing! Everything, just amazing. Oysters Rockefeller, lamb croquettes, baked Alaskan... need a wheel barrow to get me back down Bourbon Street.

Judy Kinnard

Absolutely awful! My family has been coming here for over 50 years and it has lost everything that was ever good about it. So sad. We were seated right by the front door and every patron had to walk right by our table. Forget any kind of dress code like it used to have - people seated in anything - fatigues, shorts, baseball caps, flip flops, you name it. All of our steaks cooked incorrectly and the servers were brand new to the restaurant and knew nothing of its history. If you are planning to go there for the tradition, ambience or even the food now - skip it and spend your money elsewhere.

5 stars all the way! We went for dinner last week and such a nice experience. It’s a very quaint upscale restaurant, in the French quarter. We ordered from the 3 course menu and it was perfect. We had the oysters, tuna, ribs and blueberry cobbler. All 5 stars. Shout out to Paul and Tyrell for their excellent customer service. The restaurant has a cool history and they were sure to tell us about it. They deserve all the tips! You are also able to walk around and see historic rooms and wine cellar. I definitely recommend going here for a date night or special occasion. I will go back to visit for sure! Cheers!

My family and i had a lovely lunch today at Antoine’s Restaurant. The food was delicious and well presented. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would love to give a special thank you to Chad and Craig who waited on us. Wonderful service gentlemen. We definitely will be back to Antoine’s.

A lovely three-course one-price lunch. Our waiter, Paul, was attentive, friendly and professional. Service was seamless, not rushed and not slow. The chargrilled oysters were my favorite with pecan praline bread pudding coming in a close second. The historic and classy atmosphere only added to the charm.

Jordan Chin

Best lunch special in town $20 three course meal with the best .25 cent cocktails you can find. Service and food was amazing. Definitely a must if your in the area.

Anniversary dinner. I used Open Table to reserve our table and then called the next day to get a private room. The young lady said we have you down for a private room. When we arrived we were seated in the main room. Our waiter (younger) seemed to think we could not afford the place and did not check on us as much as he did the older crowd, but with all things said, Joe another waiter was there as soon as I had a finger up. He was serving other tables and kept a close eye on us and did a DAMN good job of taking care of what we needed. The food was Outstanding, just our primary waiter was not as good as I hoped.

MATTHEW STEWART

Ask for waiter Paul. Service and food was great! History of this place is amazing!

Joe J

Amazing experience! Amazing staff. Amazing history. Food is delicious

Michelle Sisneros

Good food. Wasn't prepared for my crab sandwich to come with feet. Very historical restaurant.

Alan Rester

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Full of history.

Jason Ward

Wow! A step back to a more refined dining experience. Careful with that rum punch, it may he more accurately called rum "kick". Delicious food in an elegant setting. Let the attentive staff that knows how to "serve",guide you. I had a throwback entree, to match the setting, of Cordon Bleu but all my companions were equally as pleased with their choices. And eat the dessert even if you're full.

Paul Manchester

One of the all time, great restaurants! Wonderful personalities taking the best of care of their guests. Phenomenal food and wines. Not to be missed!

Rebecca Hughes

We came for the jazz brunch. The music and food were great. Be sure to take them up on the offer to tour the many, many, dining rooms this place has to offer. There's a lot of history here. Enjoy!

ZXZ Demon

The food was absolutely exquisite and service was wonderful. I recommend taking the tour of the restaurant afterward, the history of Antoine’s is as rich and delightful as the food itself!

Jordan Morris

If you haven’t been to Antoine’s, you haven’t been to New Orleans. The service is just as phenomenal as the food. Our Jazz brunch was upscale while maintaining a friendly atmosphere and an excellent live music performance. I recommend the Oysters Rockefeller. Absolutely to die for

We came by to Antoine's Restaurant for lunch. Their lunch special was a 3 courses meal for $20.19 and an option to buy unlimited Martini for $0.25. Our server (Sterling Armour) was amazing to show us the restaurant before it was opened at 11:30 am. It was like a history lesson and walking tour inside this historic restaurant. The restaurant is the oldest restaurant in the North America, it is family own for 6 generation. The foods were delicious and I highly recommended if you are visiting NOLA.

Alison D

We love Antoine's! Make sure and get the tour of the restaurant! There so much history there. The food is excellent. If you go at lunch, you don't have to dress up and they have a 3 course special and 25 cent Martinis.

Well here we are in NOLA in the French Quarter at no other than Antoine's Restaurant. Last night in NOLA so why not try one of the most renowned in the FQ. Decor is old school just as you would expect from a restaurant of over one hundred and fifty years. The fifth generation descendants of the founder are still operating the restaurant. Service was attentive yet not bothersome. The claim of the original recipe for Oyster Rockefeller still rings out. As wait staff declares that here alone this famous dish is made "without" spinach! Fresh fish, chicken, pork, beef along with, soups, salads, appetizers, and desserts. The overall menu at a glance my appear pricy if looking at an online menu. To really understand the value, you need go inside and "just live, even if for just a little while"!! We did and it was wonderful!!!

Cyndi Harbison

Great staff and service. Interesting and unique menu. Historical location in the French Quarter right next to Bourbon Street!

Ja Ca

Rex room is amazing and the service is some of the best in New Orleans. Beautiful, historic interior with walls full of stories. Oh and the food is awesome! Stop here for some history and good food.

Anoosh Megerian

One of the oldest restaurants in town. It's a museum by itself. Staff very attentive. The person in charge took us to tour the place.

Came here for dinner and the experience didn't live up to the hype. It began with me being sat down and about 15 minutes going by where no one bothered to come to bring me a menu, water or ask me if I wanted a drink. Keep in mind I had one of the last reservations for the night and the restaurant was half empty as this point. I had to ask for a waiter and they told me in a minute. I then got up and grabbed a menu myself. From here, a waiter finally came over and the rest of the night was filled with endless apologies. I ordered a drink and he never brought it to me. Had to ask him twice. The food was just ok and as for the check, I had to again ask multiple times for it. New Orleans has some amazing restaurants. I would suggest going elsewhere.

Lyssa Adkins

Came here for lunch while visiting New Orleans! We wanted to enjoy all of the food culture here, so Antoine's was high on the list! Antoine's is the oldest family owned restaurant in the US, and they have served a plethora of very famous people. One of the coolest things they offer is a 20.19 lunch special, making this classy establishment accessible to everyone. This three course lunch came with an appetizer choice (soup, salad, oysters- loved all three) entree (all three of us ordered the veal cordon bleu, super yummy and could not get enough of the mustard sauce) and dessert (I strongly preferred the pecan bread pudding to the strawberry cake). They also rotate a daily lunch special cocktail for only 25 cents! On the day we went it was an Arnold Palmer with vodka- absolutely delicious. The service here is great, it was fascinating to watch all the people buzzing around making this huge restaurant one. The highlight though was asking our waiter to give us a tour at the end of our meal. He took us through all the different rooms including one where he had served three different presidents. It's amazing how much history exists in this restaurant. Attire online says business casual. During lunch it's okay to be a little more on the causal side (sundresses, I wore a jumpsuit, my dad wore a button up and shorts) but definitely look a little nicer for this treat of a meal.

Stephen Roques

It is a classic for a reason. Always get impeccable service. Amazing atmosphere. The food is always great. I can't recommend the coolinary lunch special enough.

Loree Bonin

Hosted another business dinner here last night. The 7 guests are not New Orleans natives and had never been to Antoine's although they have been to many other New Orleans restaurants. They were "blown away" by the food, the service and the "total experience." I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Have had many family celebrations here, hosted our son's Rehearsal Dinner, and numerous business dinners. Have always had a memorable experiences. Many thanks to Wendy, Charles and Al. You guys always make the experience extra special.

TpplayaGaming

The hospitality and old feel to this restaurant makes it one-of-a-kind! The food is quality food you can only find in New Orleans and being the OLDEST family-owned restaurant in the nation, this place represents Louisiana really well, helping the state be known truly for it's fine culture and rich cuisine. The service was outstanding and the water was fresh and clean. This place is a bit expensive and should only be visited on special occasions....and HAVE A RESERVATION! This place gets PACKED only 30 minutes after opening and stays like that for the rest of the day! I HIGHLY recommend this place! Top 25 Restaurants in The United States HANDS-DOWN!

G W

A nice higher-end restaurant featuring fabulous foods in the French Quarter. If you're looking for a nice romantic dinner or just a nice evening out and to be treated nicely, this is the place to go. The staff were polite, friendly. I recommend this restaurant.

Ricky Zimmer

It was a lunch/brunch with old college friends. Decor very interesting. Food not as good as I expected. My chopped beef salad was delicious, but no one seemed to like the Shrimp Creole. 25 cent screw drivers were not bad! Desert was forgettable, literally I forgot what I had. Coffee good. Service very good.

Joan Marsh

What can you say about Antoines. Perfect atmosphere, perfect service, perfect food and drinks. Loved every minute of it. Did you know that their waiters have to serve a multi year apprenticeship before the become full fledged waiters? Our waiter that night was celebrating 50 years at Antoines. Amazing!!

Zanaba Hudson

Had the 3 course lunch for $20. Small portions the bread pudding was the best Thing

Paul Ostrowski

Great food. Has a $20.19 lunch special with 3 courses and 25¢ drinks

John Scarlett

Food was bland and way overpriced, even for New Orleans. People only go to Antoine's expecting a classic old school luxury dining experience -- like you'll find at Arnaud's. You can sell just okay food at high end prices, but only if dining there is an experience. Focus on the details (straighten the pictures!!!). If the chef is taking the time to try and present a quality product, then train your wait staff to present it as such. And if you are going to spill almost half a glass of wine on the way to the table then at least wipe the glass before you set it down! By far the most disappointing eating experience in NOLA.

Mark McGill

Great dinner, impeccable service. Thanks to the young waiter who gave us the tour of this historic gem in The French Quarter.
