This Restaurant is classified in the category of Indian restaurant.
been in USA for 20 years but never had food like this. Shree Krishna, good luck and keep it up and i know you'll never go wrong. thanks and can't wait to come back! Awesome Awesome Awesome!
Bland and tasteless. Not something authentic and I wouldn't advice the buffet. Fish fry was a dud. Chicken in chicken tikka masala was cold and hard. Gulab Jamun was hard.
Best food with customisable spice levels. Whatever they cook in Indian style resembles exact match as to how the food should be. Only thing they should improve is the serving speed and make the naan more soft. Polite staff. Quantity of food given is sufficient. $15-20 / per head is ample investment for a group >3 persons. Biriyani is nice!
Tikka House was the best Indian I have had in Louisville and I have lived here all of my life. Not only that, the service was friendly and charming. My wife and I had a great dinner date there and we will definitely be back.
Came for lunch and really enjoyed the lunch buffet. I would def recommend it and will be going back to try the dinner menu as well.
This place is incredible. Everyone in Louisville will do themselves a favor by cycling this place out. Their buffet is really well proceed and the quality is you notch.
Excellent food. Great hospitality... Highly recommend. Especially i loved the Mutton Briyani
I love Goat Biryani in your Restaurant awesome food thank you
This place was very good food was good the naan excellent the service was great the atmosphere was perfect I highly recommend this place
It the greatest food or atmosphere
Nestled into the shopping center made it harder to find but it was well worth the trip. Bold authentic flavors made for a truly enjoyable meal.
It was pretty quiet on Sunday night, but the food was good. So far it might be my second favorite Indian Restaurant in Louisville. The Chicken Tikka Masala was nice, but the star of the show way the rosemary naan!
First time eating Indian Food. Absolutely loved it. Thanks Mr. Kasden for introducing me to their lunch buffett. Not spicy and to bold as I thought it would be, although you can spice it as hot as you like. Many dishes and soups, salads, choices are plenty, and desert is yummy.
Good food n good people services
Good detail to preparation but the buffet temp could be warmer
Very good food and lovely ambience!
Good food and great service
The best bariani i have ever tried
Had the buffet during a work meeting and loved it!
Good food! Nice buffet too.
I ordered goat curry and I must say it was outstanding! Perfect balance of spices.Hats off to the chef.
So good!!! Ordered takeout from Tikka House and about to do it again a week later. We got the saag paneer, malai kofta, raisin and coconut stuffed naan, and veg samosas. Enough food for 4 large meals. Very reasonably priced, too. Don't hesitate!
Not that great, taste of food is okay. But comparing the buffet menu with other Indian restaurant are fewer. Environment is cosy and wonderful.
Food was good, service was slow.. We also booked quite a few tables for a dinner party for 26 people, and the worst thing was no server was attending us which should have been. They should address the customers more or increase the number of servers.
Would rate a 3.8ish. The flavor was very good, had chicken as a main dish though and it was very dry and chewy. The samosas were tasty if a bit salty, and the naan was a bit undercooked and doughy as a result. Great service though! EDIT: I've visited a few more times since my review and it must've been that I just went on an off day. Pretty much everything I've had since has been great!
Excellent food and excellent service. Great ambience. Will definitely return.
Great food. Great prices. Many choices. You won't be disappointed.
Best Indian restaurant in town. You won't be disappointed.
Decent food and service!
Excellent food, excellent service, friendly staff and the atmosphere is perfect for a meal with family, friends or date night.
The food is delicious! Lamb curry is my favorite!
Very good lunch buffet!
Buddha's law prepare look very presented awesome on my plate so I was impressed by that you guys the great fantastic drive customer service is pretty decent not the best but decent so you guys keep up the good work good job and other on they I really can complain about is the location I'm not very impressed with location but that's a personal preference that's the only reason we give up 3 star the other night you guys did great
Wonderful selection of na'an, the chutneys were very rich in flavor, heartwarming food on a very cold day served by the nicest people. Great little place for very good Indian food in the heart of St. Matthews.
Good food. Polite service. As close to authentic Indian food as we can expect, and great to get in Louisville. Recommended. A bit pricy, so if on a budget I am told there is a lunch buffet.
Great saag paneer and great service!
Food is good. Not much of South Indian options though for the lunch buffet. May be the day we went in didn't have the same. Overall it's good.
Great lamb biryani, tasty. The tandoori chicken was okay, a bit over cooked
This local secret is a true gem. Absolutely delightful and delicious mains with super friendly service. You will leave fat and happy!!
Very slow service. Naan was half cooked. Navratan korma had no taste. Kadhai paneer ok. Will never come again.
Great buffet!
This was my 2nd time visiting Tikka House, and we were so disappointed with the service, that this becomes our last visit. We specially drove 100 miles one way from Indianapolis, to eat here, so we really liked it the 1st time. This was friday night, we reached at 9.15pm and we are at the hostess station, which says "Please wait to be seated". The hostess is at the bar just looking in her phone. We go in, enquire for a table, and she says sit anywhere you want. We get a table, are served water and the freebies (best part), and our orders are placed. Our food starts coming out one by one. Around 9.40pm, our server places our check on the table, says nothing and leaves. We think thats okay since they might have closed the kitchen now, and wont be taking any orders. Fair enough. 5 minutes later, me and my wife are serving something in the plate, the lady from the bar comes to our table, says that she needs the credit card now, and just waits there till we hand her the card, not even letting us take a look at the check. This while we have serving dishes in our hands, putting food in our plates. Strike 1. Shes back 1 minute later and asks us to sign the receipt, which she wants done right away, and is standing there the whole time! Weird!!!! Strike 2. We try to finish dinner, and our server keeps coming and looking at our table, he just wants us to leave basically. We have had enough (food and bad experience) by now, and ask for boxes He gets us a few, and by this time he has taken off his uniform and is wearing his inner shirt only. Rubbish!!!! Strike 3. Never experienced this any place else where we have been let to finish eating even if it was 10.30pm, and closing time was 10pm. We left the place precisely at 10.01pm. They should change their timing on the website. Never coming back again.
This is the horrible Indian food I have ever tasted in Indian restaurant after I came to USA. The food is not at all tasty. If you are an Indian and wants to taste spicy food then this is not the place for you. Food here is not at all spicy and their main customers are Americans. So, think before you go.
Excellent service, great food and centralized location
Authentic Indian cuisine.
I have been in different Indian restaurants but among all tikka house is the best because there food test is so delicious. All employees are kind and friendly. It is clean and comfortable to eat.I recommend everyone should try you all gonna love it. Best food ever had ❤️.
I have been to Tikka House for the lunch buffet several times and am so happy that I found this restaurant. The food is Indian/Nepali and, as a vegetarian, I always find many wonderful selections to choose from. The food is not too spicy and is flavored perfectly. They even prepared Aloo Gobi without the potatoes per my request. More recently, they prepared a special Gobi (cauliflower) appetizer for me when I called ahead. They will do this for anyone with a special request and they do not charge extra for it when served during the lunch buffet. The chefs, waiters and waitresses are always attentive, smiling and friendly. I find the atmosphere, clean, warm and inviting. I cannot comment on the meat selections, but if your vegetarian, I highly recommend it.
Best food loved it
Fine Indian cuisine. They have items from Himalayas( topical Nepalese food) as well. The location is very perfect and dining area is attractive and well decorated. There is a private dining area which is perfect for events and gatherings.Staffs are very friendly and helpful. This is prefect family Restaurant. I'll surely revisit this restaurant.
Had chicken tikka masala, goat curry, veg. Samosas, garlic naan, and hot tea. Everything was delicious. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Service was quick. I am so glad I gave it a try, and will definitely be back in the near future!
Fantastic Food! You will not be disappointed. The Achaari chicken was my favorite.
Excellent food, we usually do the tandoori chicken as an appetizer, Chicken Perlman and garlic Naan is a great combination. Not a long wait as compared to the other Indian restaurants in Louisville, and good service too
The food is delicious and made very well. The atmosphere is very inviting. The staff was very nice, but left out part of our orders, twice. Still, we will return here! And...the food, the service, and the ambience are all MUCH better than Shalimar.
Fantastic Dinning and Service....
Good food and well presented. The buffet was good with a large variety, both veg and non veg. Surprising there was no Paneer Masala but might have just been that day. I had a buffet and it was worth it. Large range of condiments are also available.
Best food & nice people.
Paneer wasn’t fresh
Best pakoras in town! Service is friendly, and food is delicious.
Same as any Indian restaurant in this country.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Nice for a quiet chat.
Slice onion change $1.99. Most Indian restaurant not change onions
Decent buffet. The kheer was amazing though!
Easily my favorite Indian place in Louisville and potentially my favorite restaurant in general. The food is great with all kinds of options no matter what you are looking for. Definitely suggest the Bullet Naan if you like spicy food and the Masala Tea
Very nice place. Chicken Korma was delicious. Also definitely recommend the garlic naan and pashawari naan. Good prices too date night was $35 all up.
Ok place
Hardly tastes like Indian food! Have no idea how we ended up being here. Everything on the buffet menu has something abnormal to mention about. Veg pulao with literally green peas and nothing else in it dried up at 12.30 pm and no refill was made until atleast 1.30. Would not recommend this place if you are looking for some original/authentic Indian food.
Fantastic lunch buffet. Lots of variety and everything I've had has been delicious
Visited this place upon other positive reviews. Very much dissappointed. Ordered a daal tadka, rice and chicken-65. Daal had no taste and no salt at alllll. Forget about chicken 65 if I want a sweet chicken 65 i would go to Chinese Restaurant why would I go to indian restaurant for a chinese style chicken. I asked the guy about the quantity of rice you give with as a side dish. I asked him if that would be sufficient for 1 or 2 people. He said it depends on appetite. Strange no one answered like this at any restaurant. Very dissapointed and feel like i wasted my money.
Best Indian buffet in Louisville, hands down. Delicious food, and many items to choose from. Great choice for vegetarians too.
Friendly staff and most delicious paneer momos in town
Very good -- happy to have a local Indian spot within walking distance from our home.
Awesome! I mistakenly put only one star on the review. My appologies. I have posted to rewinds on FB as well about how much I enjoyed my experience here. I recommended Tillable House Highly!
Good Food
This was our second visit to afternoon buffet. It was way better than the first time and can now recommend this to my friends as well. Lot of options, well prepared and delicious. Close to authentic taste and not too spicy. Appetizers were really good. Fewer options for dessert but fine. Will look forward to go more often.
One the place to find true Indian food....
Good food.. good service
We went to a lunch buffet here and everything was hot and tasty!
I got a carry-out and I feel that I had to wait too long.
The food was ok. It lacked a flavorfulness and spice. Maybe I went on an off day.... The service was very nice.
Best Indian food in America, oh yeah, and their buffet is incredible. I could eat here every day, but my body, my body, is telling me no. Highly recommend.
I have had many favorite Indian restaurants in my time. Till house Indian just took the place in my top spot. The curry is cooked to perfection. Just the right mix between taste and heat! Well done Tikka House! Thank you!
Lunch buffet is beautiful! Pro: modern service, basic wines and alcohols at reasonable prices, very modern buffet setup but also authentic (chafets and sauce bar were super cool) Nothing chincy about it. Cons: naan is not as fluffy and voluptuous as the recipes I am used to, gluten was present but they came out like a tortilla naan. That's hardly heart breaking probably better in the a la carte menu for sure Service on a buffet is non existant, but the middle aged woman in charge of service was very kind to my children and seemed amazed to see a 2 and 4 year old in the joint, very nice would return for sure.
I ordered goat biriyani through postmates...the biriyani was alright but there was hardly any meat on there..the little meat that i got were mostly bones...you guys should definitely think about the portion of meat..otherwise the biriyani was good..
Fantastic food. Reasonable price.
Started out on a questionable note, but finished strong. Indian spice is the tastiest hot food in the world. Chicken Mo Mo was not what I expected but so delicious. Only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the appetizer was tepid. Definitely worth it.
Great to see another good Indian restaurant open up. Lots of different kinds of food on the buffet, different than all the rest. Keep up the standards!!!
Good food and friendly staff
Food is great and they do a wonderful job for take out.
Great dal tadka and ras malai!
The food was very good. It took a long time to get attention from the host and then to get a table, but they said two people didn't show up for work that day.
Extremely slow service. The people were nice but I ordered carryout. I waited 20 minutes to leave my house and still waited another 30 minutes for my food. This was just food for 1 person and there were only 3 tables sat in the dining room at 7pm on a Friday. The portions were very very small too. The taste was fine, maybe I will try again and eat inside the restaurant but never carryout again.
Delicious food. I travel for work to Louisville every week and never order from anywhere else besides this place.. the food is amazing, decently priced. I order thru Postmates as they don’t deliver at my location but their chapatis are like home chapatis.. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Keep up the good work guys
Food was ok. Could not find much vegetarian options here I'm buffet. Staff could barely speak or understand English. Service was poor. I didn't feel welcomed. I don't I will come back again.
Don't hesitate! Great flavor and service!
THIS PLACE IS MY GO TOO! SOOO GOOD.
Warning: their medium is pretty darn spicy. Otherwise, a great experience. Service was prompt and polite, food was delicious, prices were $12 per entree for fairly large portions.
Best Indian I have had in Louisvillr by far.
Good service and quality food. We had the vindaloo and curry. We ate every piece of food at the table.
This Indian place is cozy and the ambience is well suited for a nice romantic date. Wide range of menu let's you choose authentic Indian food in Cincinnati.
Buffet: Under-cooked meat, cold appetizers, frozen deserts from grocery store. Bad experience. May be went on an off day.
Food was ok ok and very few options in buffet
The service, atmosphere, and rice are good but was not impressed with the main dishes. Everyone's dinner had oil floating on the surface and throughout the food which made eating if difficult.
Honestly--the negative reviews don't make sense. This was a great experience, the staff was friendly, and they checked in regularly. The food came quickly and it was hot, flavorful and DELICIOUS! There was no cultural art or scenery, but the food spoke for itself! Will return and DO RECOMMEND
Good Food and Service
Goat curry was nice. Small and peacefully ambiance. But hard to find the correct location without map first time.
Hidden Gem, Almost missed it. Great Food & free paphar and all raitas/ chutneys even on carry out orders. A+ Will order again!
My husband and I came here Valentines Day, and the food was really tasty. The staff were friendly and professional, the tables were decorated with cute little hearts, and the food was hot and fresh. Great experience!
Great food friendly service good price what more could you want
Guys plz don't go this restaurant..food is very very bad...plz don't go this restaurant...
Good but I went 9n week day felt the meat was little old
Delicious naan, rice, and entrees. My favorite that we tried was the chicken korma. Will definitely be back soon to try the kheer dessert and masala chai next time!
Decent Indian food in the middle of Saint Matthews. Lunch buffet is pretty good with good selection to choose from. Flavor profiles were a little different from what I like. Some of the tomato based sauces were a little too heavy on tomato for me. I prefer a little more cream and spice. Not my favorite tandoori chicken, but hard to put my finger on exactly why. Overall, I'd rate it as good, not great.
So good!
Went for lunch buffet. Great Appetizers but not enough entrees if you are a vegetarian. Worth the price!
This is one of the best Indian restaurant in North America. I liked everything I have had here so far Bhindi (Okra) masala, Paneer tikka masala, Vegetable Biryani, Chapati and Lamb Biryani. Good service
Fresh and delicious!
Yummy food, clean and pleasant atmosphere to have a cozy dinner or lunch. Their naan is cooked to perfection which is something I always look for.
Love having Indian Buffet in our neighborhood
Decent buffet
Best Indian Food in Louisville, they have a buffet that beats any other by far. The Curry is amazing, all of the food is flavorful. You can tell everything is fresh, and delicious. The scenery is also very nice. The restaurant is always clean, and has very nice staff!
I love this place... never had a bad meal... I am always happy and leave in a good mood after eating here. If you love spicy foods , this is a must do! (warning: if you ask them to make it as hot as they can spice wise, your head will turn into Niagara Falls... from the intense heat)... Wishing I lived in the area I would eat here everyday, but i feel blessed to eat here once a month when I am in town... It is that good! 1. Chicken Biryani (with bullet Naan) 2.Chicken Tikki Masala (with bullet Naan) 3.early after noon buffet (with bullet Naan) ^^Top 3 meals in my opinion^^ ( close runner ups Lamb Biryani, Lamb Vindaloo, and ice water with bullet Naan:)
Believe me The worst buffet you will ever have, food is so bad. I recommend not to try to those who visit Louisville. Go for any other restaurant but not this.
Some of the most delicious Indian food we've ever had! We got take out, but this looks like such a nice place to eat we'll definitely eat there next time!
Amazing Indian food at reasonable prices, should cost more.
The Aloo Kulchha (naan stuffed with potato) is the best naan I’ve ever had.
The food was good, ambience was nice. Good setup. The food could have been a little more flavorful
Best Indian food in the city and they are open on Christmas
Really good food. The buffet has really good selection. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing. Service was great.
Tastes good but no refills in buffet
I ordered the lamb curry and was blown away by how delicious the food was. I will definitely be ordering again, and tell all my friends to visit there. The food had so much flavor and the texture of the lamb was perfect! I am so pleased to have found this wonderful place.
In all honesty I can't recommend. While the staff was friendly they struggled with our party of five. There were two different male servers who weren't communicating well with each other and several requests were forgotten. When my son ordered the "grilled fish" we asked what kind of fish it was. "Grilled fish" was all they could tell us. Yet 10 minutes later a woman emerged from the kitchen to ask whether we'd like the tilapia or salmon. There were several other examples like that throughout the meal. As to the food itself, it was okay, but hardly exceptional in my experience. The best way I can describe it is that it felt like a restaurant in the opening week, but they said they've been open for a year. My wife and I both are experienced in the food service industry and everything felt below par. Especially for a restaurant that claims to be "fine dining". I will say that the staff were very friendly and definitely were making the effort.
Ladies that worked there were nice but chicken is weird!!! WEIRD
One of the most Best Indian Restaurant in Louisville this is my second time visiting, awesome food and good serve . And again My favorite food Goat Biryani was awesome thank you so much.
Solid buffet
Awesome food. Had lunch buffet. Mutton curry was damn good.
Great menu. My wife order something that she mistook for another dish and they didn't charge us for the first. Great service and atmosphere.
Amazing Buffet. The Rare Indian restaurant that offers Fish on the buffet menu. Food is extremely flavorful and has the authentic Indian taste. Also like the cleanliness of the restaurant. Have gotten buffet takeout from there and the food was delicious. The biryani was excellent and is usually my yard stick to measure a good Indian restaurant and this was top notch. Highly encourage anyone looking for good Indian food to try Tikka House...
Loved this place. It's a Nepali restaurant. I went for the lunch buffet. Food was great. Especially loved the goat curry and fish pakoda! They serve fried rice, white rice, naan, fritters, various items of vegetables, chicken, goat and fish. Service is good. Recommended.
The #1 Indian restaurant in Louisville, and #1 service in Louisville. Cannot beat the food or service quality of this restaurant. I have tried almost ever Indian place in town and this is by far the best one by a mile! Servers are always friendly and incredibly nice. Once I mentioned the lights being a little bright in my eyes, and our server went and immediately dimmed them to a more comfortable level. This is really a top dining spot for me. I go maybe once a week if possible. Everything I've tried on the menu has been delicious!
Would never recommend to anyone . Went thr for lunch buffet. Everything was disgusting and it is total waste of money . Mint chutney had gone bad, which was enough to turn off our moods . Rice were completely dried up and hard , they were least interested in bringing in new ones. Fish pakora and chicken fry were so extremely oily and unfresh , as if they were days old and they had been refrying them . Goat curry and navratan Korma had been increased in quantity by adding water and was pathetic , had no taste it. Naan was not cooked properly, or I can say it was from previous day or days and was reheated and served . Gulab jamun was horrible.. Overall I felt as if the food was not fresh.. it was just being reheated and served . Those people who don’t know what Indian food tastes like, may only enjoy the food here. Am so sure food was not freshly prepared, it was days old .
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. She even brought us out samples of some other dishes to try. I recommend the vegetable samosas. They are fantastic!
Food taste was average and was not served hot...Buffet items were too less!!!
Unbelievable foods ,really great taste foods. I m Happy having time with 18 yrs experience chef and friendly staff there..thanks for tikka house team!!!
Good food, great service!
My family and I had an amazing time here. Our server was excellent in accommodating our needs and exceeded our expectations. He was friendly and never rushed us. The food was served in a timely manner, the presentation was beautiful, and the food was full of flavor. It was not overtly oily and you could tell that the kitchen knew what they were doing. We came here to celebrate a family member's birthday and the owner got wind and surprised us with a small Indian cake. The service that they provided and the effort they gave is not lost on us. We will definitely be going there again. Hopefully soon, because I loved their chicken biriyani and paneer makhani. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for delicious food, great service, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The prices are great too.
Good lunch buffet.
Great service but not impressed with the main dishes. The rice, naan, and chutney were good but the dinner dishes did not meet our expectations. There were four of us at dinner and everyone's meals were flavorful but very oily with the oil floating on the top and not able to separate. Two of us reached the point where we had to stop eating our dinners due to the oil.
Beautiful place, fantastic food! Highly recommend!
Good variety of options, including vegetarian, fairly quick service
Good food..you can get the buffet or order off the menu..very nice staff
Great Indian, spectacular service.
I had lunch buffet here with my two sons. The food was absolutely terrible. The tandoori chicken is fried like fried chicken, and it is obviously at least a day old and completely cold. They have fried fish nuggets which are also extremely cold. The chicken curry only had chicken bones in it. The rice was obviously old. There is not really anything good I can say about this experience. The only thing I might suggest to the owner is that when he Wants to reuse the old food from the day before, he should probably heat it in the microwave before putting it on the warmer plate.
Amazingly tasty food, just opened. They make their naan fresh and bring it to the table, but the other food is in a buffet style. Definitely going back.
Visited based on other positive reviews and was greatly disappointed. Four of us went for lunch and we should have turned around as soon as we felt our shoes sticking to the floor. The staff was luke warm at best and quickly soured upon our offering some critical feedback when asked what we thought of a couple items we left on our plates. If you're looking for a good Indian buffet, look elsewhere. Much of their selection wasn't adequately heated through and a chicken dish had a strange fishiness about it.
Buffet was satisfying. The spice level for the food is mild yet every dish is savory! The service couldn't be better! The cleanliness is off the chart too!
Good authentic Indian food. Only thing was the cuties were a bit oily.
I cannot provide an explanation as to why the food tasted really good. Maybe because we hadn’t eaten indian food in months. Or Maybe because the food is ACTUALLY good. Who knows. You can only find out after you try it. (Try the garlic butter naan; heavenly)
I waited for ten minutes at the hostess stand and no one ever came. I tried to get their attention and was ignored. I gave up. Will go elsewhere.
