Food was rockin'! Biscuits were perfect with raspberry jam & homemade butter. Had the 1/4 fried chicken with mac & cheese & the sweet potatoes. Great meal and atmosphere! Will definitely be back!

Cassaundra Moore

Best friend chicken in the city. We had a HUGE party a few weeks ago because of a graduation. A lot of people from out of town were with us and they wanted to take food home. DELICIOUS

Tabitha Clark

Great food, excellent service. Had a wonderful evening!

Rodney Adams

I was hungry for some comfort food and after a couple of searching sessions, Google and Yelp kept telling me how good this place was. I decided to give it a shot. When we got there my wife really wanted more selection, but we settled on the 1/4 fried chicken, dark meat, with Horseradish mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The bar manager asked us to move as soon as were seated to satisfy a large party. We were good with it, and she even threw in some appetizers for our trouble. Mandy I believe her name was. She was so friendly and sweet, it made everything worthwhile. I really love the place. It's quaint yet modern, roomy yet cozy and very unique. On another subject, I do television shows and research about Cryptid and Paranormal things and this place has some very cool vibes. I picked it out quickly. I'll be back. Several times and I'll bring my creepy friends with me. I personally want to thank Mandy and our server for their wonderful hospitality. You'll see me again soon.

Best fried chicken I’ve ever had!

Luke Keith

Love the food but the house is not organized and poorly trained. My wife called in a $100 order for pickup the day before I was to pick it up. Staff wasn’t sure how to do the order but talked to a manager and took CC info for the order. The next day when I arrive for pickup they are clueless and not sure what happened. The GM said they could put it together in 30-45 mins but wasn’t sure what happened to our order and my CC info. I had out of town guest in that were waiting so I decided to go elsewhere. I felt like I was a burden on them and wasn’t even offered any type of discount for the trouble which probably would of prevented the poor score. Please do a better job of training and organization to have a sustainable establishment in our community.

Delicious food, outstanding atmosphere, fabulous service from Server, Anna. This was our first visit and we plan to return to The Eagle. You owe it to yourself to visit at least once...Chicken was juicy & flavorful, mac&cheese was a bit too cheesy for my taste, however, good, slaw was awesome, spoonbread very good, hushpuppies you MUST order muah! The tunes played is just right., a mixed genre that makes it more enjoyable. Thanks to all for a great experience this evening.

The visit was a disappointment. First the positive. Nicely appointed establishment, clean and kind of country modern. Now the negatives, slow bar service over 15 minutes for the bartender to notice us. While busy the place wasn't overwhelmed. The food was just ok. The 1/4 white meat chicken consisted of an average sized breast with a detached wing. The breast was ok but overcooked. The wing was two bones with some coating but no meat. Sides are not included and costly but I'll recommend the mac and cheese. Overall not so hot and pricey including well overpriced bar drinks.

Staying nearby in Highlands while we did some tasting along the bourbon trail. We ate here the first night and were blown away by the food, so we came back for dinner on our last night. The fried chicken is absolutely delicious with or …

I love sitting outside in dog friendly venues and this is one of many along Bardstown Road. There are umbrellas on the patio to give you some shade and the servers go above and beyond to move them to make people happy be providing the right amount of shade. Fried chicken is their specialty and it is outstanding. It has a bit a bite that I really liked and the meat is tender and juicy. They provide spice honey, that I almost didn't even try because the chicken is great without it. Tried the fritters and they were great, again a little bite, but I really like that. And the mac and cheese was also great. For my beverage I went to their beer menu and asked for a recommendation from our server. And the. I choose a different beer; my next one was the one she recommended. She obviously knew better than I did. If you don't know, ask. Then follow the sage advice you receive. I LOVE the Eagle's outdoor seating area, and even the inside area the way it opens up onto the sidewalk / street. SERVICE WAS GREAT!! Our server was outstanding and the others we interacted with were friendly and fun. FUN is good! Lots to like! I will be back sooner rather than later, and you should too.

Erica White

I sat on the patio with my pup, Buster, and we had a great time! Everyone that worked there was so nice. Everything was delish- will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Jason Abraham

The outdoor bar service was rotten. Took almost 20 min to get a drink. After that everything was fine. Our sever was great &the food was too.

sgraas90

Staff are friendly and welcoming. I've eaten here or ordered delivery through other services a good dozen times and it's consistently excellent.

Michael Reeves

Can't go wrong here. Just the right amount of heat.

Nita Baker

All Around Great Place...Atmosphere and Staff

Matt Puffer

Really good fried chicken and sides, especially liked the collard greens and fries with aioli. I would definitely eat here again!

Jake Allgeier

Tasty fries and a nice view of Bardstown Road for the Zombie Walk.

Caylee Keto

Horrible service. Waiter disappeared for 30 minutes at a time and the buss boy ended up doing all of the work. Not to mention the patio is INFESTED with beetles and bugs. When you walk they all go scattering into the bushes and then come back out. This restaurant needs some serious help with their hospitality and service and a terminator ASAP.

Valosar

This is my family's favorite restaurant. There is no where in Louisville with better chicken! Even Claudia Sanders chicken pales in comparison to The Eagle! The menu on offer here is small but highly perfected. Every side item is amazing in its own right from the one of a kind macaroni and cheese to the spicy cheddar grits everything tastes like it is the star of the show. The chicken itself is sublimely spiced to provide a deep heat that isn't uncomfortable even to my daughter who can't stand spicy food elsewhere. If you want to kick it up a few notches they have spicy honey that should satisfy even the most ardent heat junky. The atmosphere is dark and relaxed on the inside with outdoor seating all year round. In the winter they have intense fires burning at the tables to keep you warm. The seating is comfortable however the hard wooden chairs can be rough on the back The majority of the menu is dedicated to alcoholic drinks, front and back. With a large bar space you should be able to find anything you're looking for. They often have multiple games playing on the TVs overlooking the bar and the staff is incredibly friendly and professional! Whether you're looking for a place to have a few drinks with friends or a romantic dinner with your significant other, The Eagle is worth a drive from anywhere in Louisville. We personally come all the way from PRP on a regular basis and we don't even drink. The Eagle is a Louisville treasure!!

Kathy Maish

Best fried chicken I've ever had. The manager was very friendly. Our server Adam was amazingly attentive and gave us great food suggestions. Very worth the drive.

Clay Bullock

Food was amazing. Very busy Sat night but the food was worth the wait. The crowd was very diverse and upbeat. The sitting area outside is great.

Jessica Thacker

I don't like their fries much but others do. The sausage dip is to die for so is the chicken. Straight up that chicken with hot honey

Christian Goodyear

Absolutely delicious food!!! Cannot go wrong here. Definitely on the somewhat overpriced side, so I can’t personally make this a regular place for me. But will definitely return because of the quality and taste of the food! Great weekday date night place

Laura McMaken

Everything was absolutely fantastic. My husband and I ventured in while traveling back to Chicago. We were greeted at the door by Kellen, the GM. He brought us to our table and gave us a brief overview, as we had never been there before. After only a few moments, he returned with our drinks and recommended the hush puppies as an appetizer. In fact, he was so insistent that we would love them, he offered to pay for them if we didn't! He didn't need to pay, because we had them devoured! The comeback sauce is unlike anything I've ever had! He was so right, definitely a must try!! We ordered the chicken as our entree and the herb fries with aioli as our side. The sides are big enough to share! The fried chicken was out of this world good! The only thing that made it better was the homemade spicy honey! Kellen continue to stop by and check on us as we ate. We told him we were traveling to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. He stepped away, only to return with 2 flutes of champagne and wish us a happy anniversary. If we ever pass through Louisville again, we are definitely stopping to see Kellen, the amazing food is a delicious added bonus to his delightful and kind hospitality.

Cherie Aldridge

The 1/4 chicken was really good and not greasy! The salad was greasy and not enough chicken. Service was ok.

Rebecca Bray

When your taking you seafood foodie and beer carnosaur out in a new town, the pressure is high! The Eagle was the spot! Eric made great recommendations and the manager was very welcoming! Grab the shrimp po boy and bourbon punch!

Julie K

Went there for my son's birthday! Our waiter was amazing! He did a fabulous job. His suggestions were spot on. Atmosphere was great too!

Deanna Schardein

We ate here for my daughter-in-law's and son's birthdays and it was exceptional! The fried chicken stood up to its outstanding reputation, and the five cheese macaroni was also delicious! The mule I had to drink topped it all off! Very friendly and thorough waiter! Can't wait to go back!

Morgan Jaymes

Definitely a chill place to hang for young folks. Im not a fan of bars, but if I were Id like this place. The food is great, the staff is kind and the outdoor seating/bar is a nice setting. The open doors give a nice feeling of being outside even if your inside, and you can sit back further if youd prefer not to. Ive noticed its pretty packed quite often so be sure to make reservations on weekends. Its very clean and has a classy vibe.

charles thomas

Food was great! Service was ok food came out fast but my server was not the best! Over all I still give 4 stars!!

Alex Cross

Definitely my favorite place in Louisville for chicken! They also have exceptional aioli fries and this special kind of cornbread that they call spoon bread. if you are in the area, definitely stop by, the service is great, the atmosphere is awesome, and the food will blow you away!

Whitney Danner

wow. I feel like Jesus himself helped create the menu. The chicken BLT... LAWD ITS AMAZING. the biscuits are also to die for. I love the entire menu and enjoy the beers on tap as well. 10/10 would recommend. I would post a picture but I inhaled my food.

Travis Little

The fried chicken was amazing. They give you a mix of honey and hot sauce to drizzle over it, game changer. All of their sides are awesome, you can't go wrong with anything you get here honestly.

Marty Scheller

Had a great meal: hot, fresh and tasty. Excellent! Our waitress Brooke was attentive, friendly and did a great job. Aime came to our table and made us feel at home too! Great job guys!

Ni'Kimbra Carter

Let me first start by saying that I enjoy food when it's prepared and served correctly in a timely manner. My latest experience wasn't the best, but our waiter was a sweet heart. I never write reviews but this experience was deserving. There were some things that can be noted about this experience. They first ran out of clean cups and gave us plastic cups. Next we noticed that a large party at the bar, and all surrounding tables all had their food before my party. They ate, had conversation and left before we rec'd our orders. We literally waited around over an hour between the time of placing our orders until the time we rec'd literally three items of another parties food by mistake. The manager came to our table to tell us that the three orders of chicken that came to our tables weren't ours, they were given to us by mistake and to tell us she would give us all new everything. We pressed to her that was fine but to make sure everything is hot when it comes out. It went from starting your order now to food out in 5-7 minutes meaning our food has been done and just sitting there. We figured this because everything was like warm. Overall this was a very bad experience and I hate it because I was really looking forward to having a nice meal here. Not sure when and if I'll be returning anytime soon.

Khayla Anson

my very first choice for fried chicken in lou. man oh man. everything is a la carte (as far as sides go), but you can still make it out under $20. i usually go for the greens and the french fries—they are served w an aioli that is so good i want to cry. bardstown rd parking is a nightmare BUT there is a private lot in the back of the building if you want to try your luck there. delicious chicken, fun atmosphere.

Matthew Wright

Pleasant outdoor seating on Bardstown Rd. The spicy grits were awesome. Nice selection of beers. Wait service was very accommodating with two different waitresses (and the chef!) personally tending to us...

Oliver de Boer

Normally I have had good experiences at The Eagle. This time, it was a 2/5 star experience. They said it would take 40-45 min for a table it took 60 min only we asked when we would be seated. The whole time while we are standing at the bar getting lousy service there is a table open right next to us that did not get occupied the 60 min we were standing at the bar. We get seated, we don't see the server again for a long time. The food comes out and the chicken was edible, but underdone. Not worth the wait. Hopefully next we can get back to the 4/5 experience.

M C

We've been twice and the food and service are both worth coming back. Do yourself a favor and order a bloody Mary, it's straight up got a slice of candied bacon in it,

Kevin Huang

The fried chicken is obnoxiously good.

J J

Come here for the Fried chicken you will stay for the drinks.

DeLisa Cummins

Loved the collard greens taste like the south

Janai Tyson

The food was delicious! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The service was excellent and very attentive. Highly recommend and definitely going back ❤️

Jeff Sterns

All the food was "fight over it" good!

Matt Lund

Always delicious food here! The chicken is incredible and I highly recommend the spicy honey mixture they provide as well. The mac & cheese as a side is probably their best, followed by their collard greens, and then the spoon bread. I had a Kentucky Mule for my drink during my most recent visit, and it seemed to have too much ginger beer in it, but it didn’t ruin my experience. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already!

Kara Knorr

Just the smell of this place, alone makes my salivate. Sad thing is I have never eaten here. I pick up food for my husband. Haven't been too impressed with their gluten free options

Jennifer Cooley

Food & service great! They were very accommodating to our large group!

Nicole Victory

My husband and I stopped in on our way to Michigan and had a wonderful experience! We were traveling with our cat, and they were happy to accommodate us on the outdoor patio. The food was amazing and Oberon on tap was a huge bonus!

Cassie Bishop

While not an eater of fried food... I now have a new favorite salad! Can't remember the name ...Southern something salad. OMG... I can't wait to go back!

Jim Albrecht

Best fried chicken that I've had in years

John Miles

My wife and I absolutely love the Eagle. Fun atmosphere, great beer selection and the fried chicken is to die for...it's a must try if you're in the area. Also, the mac & cheese, collard greens and spoon corn bread will have you taste buds going crazy as well! Staff is friendly and helpful. Outside seating is available with an outside bar. Inside has a large bar with plenty of seating as well. Food menu is limited. The Eagle has a bar/restaurant design, so I'm hesitant to say if this is a child friendly atmosphere, probably not after hours.

marissa peterson

I don't eat everybody's soul food but The Eagle has some good food. The atmosphere was great and the wait wasn't long..If you haven't been you might want to stop by it would be worth it.

Harry Hambrick

An all around wow! Our server, Kirstin, was excellent. My brother-in-law ordered the fried chicken sandwich and I ordered the braised pork sandwich and we swapped half so we could both try both sandwiches. The fried chicken sandwich was excellent but we both were blown away by the braised pork sandwich, it was absolutely delicious! My wife and sister-in-law both ordered the fried chicken and they both said it was amazing. If we ever make it back to Louisville, The Eagle will definitely be one of our stops!

Matt Sullivan

To be honest it's a touch pricey for the food (personal opinion...your results may vary) but don't get me wrong. It's very good. The wait staff is always nice and will help you with whatever you need. The managers are out and around helping which is always nice to see and the atmosphere is unique to the area so it's definitely somewhere to try if you're thinking about it.

Ryan Gibson

The Eagle has a nice rustic atmosphere, and delicious food. I sat at the bar and was taken care by an attentive and friendly bartender named Kasey. I got the Chicken BLT and the spoon bread, as well as their exclusive mad tree "off the clock" brew. I was pleased with how quickly i got everything, the friendly service, and delicious food. It is definitely on the pricey side though i spent $26 on everything i got, but the flavor lived up to the price tag.

Arielle Isaac Norman

Kindest server ever. Delicious fried chicken and grits and sandwiches. Great menu. Beautiful patio.

Cleverley Easter

I travel alot for work and always eat local. My family and I came up to Louisville for vacation, my first choice was something that was more of a local flare. Let me just say WOW. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff super helpful. The food was so so Good. We are from Nashville and it puts Nashville's hot chicken to shame. I will definitely be back. The main reason it didn't get 5 stars was because not just the chicken was spicy, even all the sides. And I would of loved to have something cool, with all that spice. But other than that, I loved it.

Brian Stephens

This was only my second visit to The Eagle but everything was delicious yet again! The 1/4 chicken with a side of fries was super filling. I can't get enough of the spicy honey dip for the chicken. I will be back again for sure!

Joe Wratten

Food and music are both fantastic, the staff are friendly and the manager is very pleasing the eyes for any man

Bryan Thiersch

Great people good food clean restaurant and kitchen

Travis Moore

Although they forgot that we had been seated, I would give this place 5 stars. We did not complain about the lack of service, but management still came out and made it right. The food was great! I was told that the chicken here was very good and was not disappointed. It was seasoned well and very moist. Everything my wife and I had was very good.

aMae Zing

I'm so glad we found this place! After a week in Nashville with mediocre food, this was a welcome conclusion to our vacation. The chicken melted, actually melted in my mouth. The greens, ahh, so great! I've told everyone I know to go here even if they're not in the area, they should make the trip!

Jeff Rusbacky

Great spicy chicken. The BLT chicken sandwich was delicious and filling. I had a half leftover for lunch. Service was very good. Our waitress was patient and friendly. The Cole slaw was a disapointment, no flavor.

Erin Byers

One of mine and my husband's favorite restaurants. Everything is delicious and the sides are large enough to share. Get the Mac and Cheese. You might not want to share that side though it tastes so good.

Anthony Konieczny

If you want beer, go here! If you want dinner, it's limited to chicken and some apps. That's why I gave it a 4. Otherwise atmosphere is on point!

Catherine Schoenbaechler

We really liked the chicken. We didn't like the maple syrup on it, but it's brought separately, so you don't have to use it. We really liked the mac and cheese and the fries. The aioli that they serve with the fries was amazing! I just thought we needed double the amount.

LaTasha Evans

The food was wonderful and our server Christian was awesome!! This was our 1st visit celebrating 4 year anniversary we will definitely be back again!!

Joseph Cartlidge

Fried chicken recipe is all-time! Solid beer list as well.

Simon Lee

Great food and even better service

Amber Kissling

This was a wonderful choice! They had a huge beer selection and drink list and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very unique and relaxing. I would definetly come back. The service was also exceptional.

Emily Johnson

First time coming here from New Jersey Patrick was our server he was awesome gave great selection for our food it was great next time we're back in Louisville will be back to the Eagle. Thank you Patrick for your hospitality and service. Sincerely Emily

Howard Gooch

This is hands down the absolute best southern soul food that I have ever ate! Great Service and an energetic atmosphere! Best of the Best! Highly Recommended!

F Holland

Good food, drinks, and atmosphere. Of course, the chicken sandwiches are good. The grilled cheese is good too because they add more than just the cheese which makes it great for adult taste. The drinks are also good and most cocktails are worth the price. Can be a little busy at times.

Fin Glimmorance

Great food, atmosphere and service. Moderate prices

Leslee Siefert

Great little spot with awesome food. I’ve never had hot honey before and it was to die for. Very small menu but what they serve is very good. The definitely need to add chicken-n-waffles, it would be amazing with their hot honey.

PEEP ReD

Good food and good prices! Excellent service would recommend!

Kimberly Davis

This place is a cozy atmosphere, with delicious food! Their chicken has a delectable spicy recipe with spicy honey sauce, along with their summer salad and peach vinaigrette

Aaron Osborne

So far everything I've had is delicious

Will Modrall

I ate here for dinner with my girlfriend. We walked in and I said to the hostess "hi how are you, 2 for dinner please", she replied sarcastically "oh I thought you were here for breakfast". We should have left right then. No need for the rudeness from the greeter. We both ordered drinks from the bar, and I watched them be poured and they were poured short. I commented to our server about our $10+ drinks being short. His solution was add more sour mix to top them off. When the server brought our food, both of our orders were wrong, and he was rude about making it right. Over all a terrible experience for nothing more than glorified Chick-fil-A. Will Never return here and advise you to do the same unless you like overpaying for bad service and just average food. The best part of dinner was the Mac and cheese not even the chicken.

Kristen Lander

I order the Fried Chicken on the menu with salads and sides. The chicken is really good and everything was okay. We also had herb-crusted fries it is very tasty. We pay what we expect for. I love coming back here again.

Jasmine Jeter

I came in at the tail end of a family dinner but there was still enough to nibble at and everything I had was delicious. I don't think I've ever had better chicken, I won't be surprised if I dream about drumsticks. Let's talk cornbread...OMG get the cornbread if you don't get anything else. This restaurant is on my radar now and I will be returning for future food adventures.

Patrick Cairoli

Great lunch we sat on the patio with our dog and everyone was very attentive. Several people came to check on us, they brought us water for our dog and the food was well made and delish. Very clean inside and out. We’ll be back!

cnl2154 Toe-Tee

This is by far the best chicken and mashed potatoes I have ever had. Plus the atmosphere was amazing. Perfect date night

Daphne H

It's not bad food, but it's certainly not the best food I've ever eaten. Go and check it out. It's hot as hell in there.

S.S. McClellan

My husband and I went to the Eagle because I wanted to have fried chicken before we left Kentucky. After I searched reviews on Yelp and Google for a restaurant that serves great fried chicken, I decided that the Eagle was the ONE. I was not disappointed! We shared a half order of the fried chicken. It was perfect, crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. Mmmmm!!!!. My only regret is that we didn't get a whole chicken. We also had a summer salad and cole slaw. They were were good accompaniments to the chicken. My husband's Bourbon Punch was tasty (and I'm not a bourbon drinker). I ordered the Blackberry Lemonade cocktail. It was refreshing and but too sweet. I'm so glad we chose The Eagle since I'm not sure when we'll return to Louisville.

ed small

Excellent food and great atmosphere!

Jeff Bilot

Excellent food, the chicken, any dish, great with the hot & spicy honey - have to get the honey. Great local flair, perfect stop on the way to Nashville. Josh, the bartender, helped to make it a memorable food experience.

Tatianna Spencer

The draft list and menu are exceptional. We would love to come back when it's warmer and sit outside. The food portions are huge and everything we are was top-notch!

John Rheinstein

This could be the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Crispy outside and tender moist inside. The sides were great. If I lived in Louisville I'd be a regular. Thanks for a great meal!

Callie Warford

Great food and great service

Kiersten Davis

I go here a lot! But recently the service has slowed way down. I’ve come here twice on relatively light nights (15 minute wait, most), and it’s taken Over an hour to get the food. Bummer. This easily is our favorite place!

Pretty Unique

The food tatse like a southern Sunday dinner. Chicken, mac n cheese, and collard greens were well seasoned. The customer service will make you want to come back as well as the food. Parking is in the rear and a nice place to eat.

Gwendolyn Cutter

Wevate outside and the chicken was good

Michael Huther

The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. Service was wonderful! The spoon bread is amazing and the Mac and cheese is the best I've ever had. Prices are good as well.

Mark Rondina

The chicken is always so tender. The sandwiches are big, maybe big enough to split. So, too are the sides, which, unfortunately, you pay for separately. All in all a great place to eat with friends, tho

Michael Bowlds

Don't like little chicken at a expensive price

Madison

Food was delicious, so filling and unique! Service was amazing! Will definitely be visiting again! Eclectic decor and feel free to

Robert Justice

It's a toss up between Gus's famous fried chicken in Memphis and The Eagle for the "best fried chicken I ever had" award. Gus's has a little better heat and spice, where The Eagle had better flavor and moistness. Service and sides were awesome as well! I'm amazed this place hasn't been on Food Network yet. Will be back, but it's like 1000+ miles from my house and we were just passing through.

Keith Strange

Worse place I've ever been. If I give them a zero, I would. Staff was rude and everything was overpriced

Savanna Ivy

best mac n cheese in louisville . large portions . pet friendly patio

Casey Hitchcock

Shrimp Po Boy and white cheddar grits are incredible. Great greens too.

Scott Hammer

GREAT Food reasonable price, GREAT Choice!!! The BEST Chicken, Mac n Cheese, Greens and Corn Bread!!! This was my BEST meal in Louisville and I will comeback whenever I am in town. I was alone, I got to the restaurant at 7 o'clock it was packed, 45 minute wait, I found a seat right way at the bar and I was on my way to having my favorite meal and it was GREAT. Fried Chicken to perfection with Hot Honey on the side, Collard Greens that were NOT overcooked sitting in a pot, SpoonBread corn bread with maple butter and Mac n Cheese that was DELICIOUS!!!

Billie Heizer

Literally the best southern food I have had in a very long time if ever! Will definitely be back

Jeremy Perry

Really good fried chicken! The spicy honey was great with it but not needed. We tried the bacon, Mac and cheese, grits, and collards, everything was delicious! Parking was tricky for us out of towners so something to think about.

Chris Tolbert

Great food, family style. Nice outdoor seating. Music was a little loud.

Lisa Cummins

Collard greens taste like they from the south

J Martin

Great sandwiches and the Bourbon Punch has to be one of the best cocktails in Louisville...wish i could get one in a to-go cup...or pitcher

Jim Sadlo

Solid offerings across-the-board! Loved the density of the mac and cheese and the spicy honey for the fried chicken. Friendly staff and a very cool decor make this a must stop!

Jeremiah Austin

Love this place. Great food. Cool atmosphere. For Friday and Saturday nights, consider making a reservation, but you can't do it day of, call it in the day before. There can be a wait sometimes, but they're good about getting you in as quick as possible.

Stephanie Green

Love the chicken here! I'm not a huge spicy fan, but the spicy honey is tolerable and SO GOOD! I love the spoon bread, mac and cheese, and sweet bacon! I love taking prospective candidates for my job here for Rep dinners!

Sharon Alexander

Love, love, love the food! Never had a bad experience here.

Angela Bottorff

We. Are. In. Love. The ambiance was chill and relaxing. They have a decent tap menu and all that, but let's get to the good stuff. Their fried chicken is the best fried chicken my boyfriend and I have ever had! He doesn't even like fried chicken and he still can't stop talking about it. Also, don't skip their cornbread. Seriously. It was so good that we have no problem driving the 2 hours back to Kentucky, just to eat their food. This restaurant is a must.

Amy Miller

Great food great service

Elliott Brust

Fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had. Laid back environment and great service!

Shelby Vandever

A group of us on the way to Nashville stopped in and we were not disappointed! The mac and cheese is some of the best I have EVER had. Cool spot!

Property Manager

Wowza ... and I don’t just mean that cutie Josh behind the bar! No wonder this place is so crowded. We sampled the chicken, salad with pickled blueberries, hush puppies and sweet potato casserole. They were all unique twists on great old fashioned favorites ... especially that hot and spicy honey. How original!!! DELICIOUS!!! But, I can’t forget the drinks! HIGHEST recommendation goes to the Bourbon Punch!!! The name doesn’t do it justice. I’m just going to say, rename it to “Best and Biggest and Moat Delicious and Refreshing Bourbon Cocktail Ever”!!!! Yes, that is a way better name!

Jeremy Belcher

Best friend chicken I have ever had! Sides are amazing and jalapeno honey sets the flavor of the chicken off. Sad to hear it is closing!

Justin Shircliff

A must visit if you’re in the mood for fried chicken. It’s absolutely delicious. But the sides are stellar as well. The sweet potato casserole and spoon cornbread were very memorable. Great selection of craft beer on tap and in a bottle. The space is great and the service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend.

Andy Lutz

Our family loved this restaurant. The fried chicken was amazing. Great ambiance too. Our waitress was very helpful and did a great job.

ACT Plays Stuff

Very good chicken, a bit spicy tho, but I'm just too white I guess. The chicken sandwiches are really good too.

L Frutoz

Great atmosphere food was ok. Drink was fine. Service was really good

Melissa Cohron

Great little place with good, Kentucky comfort food!

Joshua herrington

Cool place to eat. Food was great and so was the service. Will definitely visit again

Melina Ann

The food was absolutely delicious! I got a fired chicken quarter, dark meat, and it was so flavorful. The spicy honey reminds me of a smooth pepper jam, tangy with a kick. I see why they pair it with the chicken. The real star was the honey butter on the biscuits and the aioli that comes with the fries. Dang. The sides are honestly meant for sharing, so be prepared.

We ordered the rosemary fries, the 1/2 chicken, and the chicken sandwich. Our sides ( which are extra) were collard greens, and white cheddar grits. The service was wonderful, and the fries as an appetizer were amazing. The white cheddar grits were so spicy i couldn't eat them, and the same with greens. I love flavor in my food, but not if all i can taste is hot! Please add some NOT dishes as sides! Chicken was good!

Great spot with great food and atmosphere. Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich! Portion sizes are big and prices are fair! No complaints here.

Best mac and cheese I've ever had! I'm a vegetarian, so I'm a little out of my depth at a place like this, but their sides are so good It doesn't matter. They also serve their fries with a delicious sauce. If I had to guess, I'd say some sort of horseradish sauce. It's so good!

Antonio Bennett

Some of the best fried chicken anywhere. Good beer, great bourbon, enjoyable atmosphere.

Megan Bechard

Really good southern cuisine and excellent service. It's not on the menu, but if you ask they'll make you shrimp and grits. So dang good you'll wanna slap your mama!

I loved my experience at the Eagle. Fast friendly service, fantastic food, and nice beer selection. They also had plenty of TVs with good game viewing. It was a nice new sports bar viewing with an old skool feel. Go and get the friend chicken with the collards. They are surprisingly well-seasoned. Do your best not to run off with the hot honey sauce; it's perfect.

Biggest chicken sandwichs I've ever seen, half a salad was more than enough! Prices were moderate, indoor& outdoor seating.
