First time at Sugarfire was absolutely delicious. Baked beans and macaroni & cheese (with pulled pork) was amazing and the meat was smoked to perfection! Highly recommend. They have a decent selection of bottled beer and maybe 9 types of BBQ sauce, including a coffee based one that was extremely good! Could cut any of the meats with just a fork and they even have outdoor seating.

While visiting from Savannah, I found my way to Sugarfire in Union, KY and my meal was outstanding! OMG! It's been awhile since I have had SugarFire in St. Louis. Went today to the opening of the new Union, KY location for lunch and everything was incredible. The pulled pork and brisket was done up right. The Mac & Cheese and baked beans with brisket were also amazing. There were so many great options to choose from.

1st time eating here. Huge disappointment. We ate here bc of the reviews and the awesome website. Ribs were gross. Sides cannot be homemade. Come on. They tasted like they came from GFS. Cole slaw was dry. I will say my daughters grilled cheese was delicious. Shakes were good. Would not return.

I ate here today and had an amazing cheese steak brisket. All of the sauces, sides and meats we're delicious and very very fresh. Amazing. The line was a bit long when arriving, but that's to be expected at a place with good food. The menu had plenty to choose from for all sizes, shapes and types of people which is nice. The facility itself is a bit small, but as long as I come in when it's not crowded it won't bother me any.

Quality and Taste are top level. Some of the best BBQ you’ll ever have with a huge variety and very unique menu items. The daily specials are off the charts and I highly recommend following their social media page for daily updates. OH yeah, and one if the BEST Burgers in the Tri State area.

We live in Louisville, which has no shortage of excellent world-class barbecue places. But believe me when I say that Sugarfire puts them to shame. Luckily my parents live nearby, so we stop in every time we visit. WOW! What an excellent dinner my wife and I had, I finally decided to get the half rack of ribs and OMG they were the best ribs I had since the old Walt's Hitching Post, my new favorite! The wife's PBLT Pimento Bacon Lettuce and Tomato was excellent also. The different side dishes that Chef Tony can come up with are a treat each time we come. Looking forward to our next visit.

Two stars because we did not get the opportunity to try the food. Everything looked great and we were really excited to order. When we got close to the front of the line, we saw the employee handling food repeatedly wiping his nose as he was serving a customer. We immediately high tailed it out of there. Might give it another shot down the road, but not anytime soon.

I am from the deep south where barbecue is huge. I thought the food here was quite good albeit somewhat pricey. Collards were excellent, mac and cheese was solid. Pork was good with solid selection of sauces. The interior is clean but very crowded, not well laid out. We sat outside. I did not like how the meat was put on the tray rather than a plate. I also prefer table side service at this price point.

Like the name says, there is a lot of sugar at Sugarfire. The hushpuppies were loaded with sugar and had a mushy texture. The cornbread tasted more like a cake. The beans tasted more like Boston baked beans rather than bar-be-que beans. The brisket and the pulled pork was not terrible but not up to Southern standards. The staff was overwhelmed and needed further training. Hopefully this can be overcome, but I won't be there to find out.

Not thrilled. Way too many items on the menu. Two drink locations (wasn't sure if we should have selected a drink before or after paying). Seating is poor, combination of chairs and stools. The chairs are metal and uncomfortable on the hips. There is very little room between tables. We visited a day when it was slow and managers were visiting from other potential locations and no one acknowledged us. Food is ok at best, dry meat - it's the sauces that have the flavor. Will not be returning.

Brisket is AMAZING. We were really happy with the quality and taste of the food, especially, the meats. Brisket was our favorite. I love how they cut the brisket here. While waiting in line to order, the meat carver offered is an end of the brisket he was slicing to sample. The mac & cheese, fries, and BBQ sauces were OK. They do not serve the sauces warm out on the counter. They have their own soft drinks which is fun. The pickles they offer on their condiment counter are the good kind. Employees were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. I love that they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We'll definitely go back to enjoy!

I recommend splitting the meat daddy on your 1st visit to see how everything is. The jalapeno chedder sausage is the best link I've ever eaten. No lie, it tastes nothing like you have had before. The first time we got take out (opening weekend) the price was rather high for two people ($40), but we could justify it because the taste was great and we got plenty of food. The second time the value was not there at all and even the taste was subpar. The second visit was quite the disappointment. We will not be back.

Sugarfire is a wonderful restaurant. The staff was extremely helpful in picking out great food (The big muddy) and a great side (loaded baked potato salad). I am extremely excited to go back and try out some other food. I was also told to keep an eye on they Facebook and Instagram page for their daily specials, like burnt ends. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good BBQ experience in Northern Kentucky.

City BBQ or Harmans don’t have anything to worry about. Went to the one Union Ky. Out of sides at 630 pm. The sauces were horrible an the Ribs were dry. Place was loaded with teenager working & were worried about their girlfriend. I gave it a 2 because the sweet tea was good.

We have been here 3 times since they opened and think it's pretty good. We go when the special for the day involves goetta! The goetta sandwiches have all been good as well as the Big Muddy. My husband got brisket once and he had a few pieces of fat in the sandwich, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Staff is all friendly and always cleaning.

The pulled pork was really good, my husband was not a fan of the turkey, but, the brisket my cousin had he said was a little dry but tasted great. I had the beans and Mac/cheese as did my husband. He wasn't a fan. I would recommend serving cornbread with the meal instead of having to purchasing it. I would try again though.

The food here was not very good. With our party of three all ordering different things, no one finished their meal. Mine was somehow greasy and dry. The sauces were not very good either. The choices we had for side items at this visit were not very good either. I did enjoy the drink selection and the drink offerings with no high fructose corn syrup.

OVERWHELMING, DISAPPOINTING, & WAY TOO EXPENSIVE Absolutely will not be going back. Though staff was absolutely wonderful, every other aspect was so disappointing. Upon entering, the menu is plastered on the wall as many similar establishments. However, the menu is completely overwhelming. I ended up just picking something I felt "comfortable" with. As we ordered, staff was great. As we paid, our jaws dropped at the price. Wayyy too expensive!! I had the portabella sandwich and was expecting something light and refreshing. Instead, what I got was a a mushroom completely DRENCHED in vinegar. I love vinegar, but it tasted like I was just consuming the bottle. I barely ate any of it before I decided to throw it away. My husband said the burger and fries were good, but definitely nothing he'd go back for based on the pricing. My parents also joined us and ordered pulled pork and brisket. The amount they received was tiny compared to the cost. Due to how seating is arranged, the moment it got busy, you could not easily walk around in the least. Getting from your table to the drink station was a constant display of apologies as you try to get past any other guests sitting at their table.

Took my wife out for a dinner and we tried you restaurant. First We were confused about the sodas, do we get them before we order . I ordered a half rack of ribs with cole slaw and fries . I get a metal tray with a piece of paper on it and the ribs laying on the paper . Yet the cole slaw and the fries are in a paper boats ?? The wife orders salmon and ribs. Side items fries and potato salad . She received salmon and fries . No ribs nor potato salad . So I went to the counter and the cashier asked if I needed help . I explained my situation. The wife asked me to return to the table for another issue . Salmon was cold . So I took the tray back to the counter and a young boy looks at me and says “ do you need something “ with a full attitude. My thought was “ I need you to learn respect and how to deal with a customers . So I explain the whole issues. So we receive ribs , fries, cole slaw . Yet no potato salad . Had to wait on the salmon . Finally they call me to come get the salmon . As I approach the counter the young boy has his hand over the salmon trying to ensure it was hot . Whatever !!! A quick fix “ don’t put hot salmon on cold lettuce and tomatoes “ might stay warmer longer . Just saying. I come from a 15 year catering experience back ground and feel you should / need to invest in more experienced adults. I didn’t see one adult in your facility all young kids “ . Just wanted to say thank you for your follow up and next day responds “ I’ve yet to receive!!
