The food was unremarkable. The taste was like that you would find on any buffet table. The fried dumplings were tasteless and the outside wasn't cooked through. At a lower price I wouldn't complain, but at the price they charge I don't see going back.

Sooooo worth the drive! I live in Louisville and have been DYING for authentic ramen. When I saw a Korean place offering my guilty pleasure, I had to go--best of both worlds! They have a wide variety of teas, and I highly recommend them all. As well as a good selection of Japanese beers (I'm not a big beer drinker but I've heard good things about the brands they carry). It's a very casual place, and the music switches up from American to Japanese to Korean. And sometimes you can tell it's a translated song by the beat, so it was cool to listen to our music in another language. And the staff can answer any questions you might have about their menu, not to mention friendly. Also, the bowls are really neat! They have several designs. So if you're looking for a nice little place to enjoy top shelf food and drinks, whether it's for a date or brunch with pals, go to the Rice Bowl!!!!

This is a small, simple restaurant. We were seated quickly, very few patrons. Ordered a chicken and shrimp bowl. Spouse ordered a chicken curry dinner. Food was good, service was good, delivery time was good. The food however tasted more like Chinese food than anything else. Total ticket with a 15% tip was $46. My star reduction was for poor value only because the food tasted like Chinese not necessarily Korean and we could have eaten Chinese food anywhere for less money. I don't think I would recommend this eatery as I believe it to be overpriced for what you get. Sorry.

The staff is always incredibly friendly, and I've never ordered anything I was disappointed in. I especially like the variety in the dishes, there's something for just about everybody. There's even a handful of incredibly good vegetarian dishes, which in this city is incredibly hard to find! The bubble tea is always on point, and if you ask for something Korean Hot it definitely comes that way! One of our favorite restaurants.

We had bibimbap, stir fried kimchi rice, spicy tofu soup, dumpling soup and tonkatsu ramen. Bibimbap and fried kimchi rice were good, but others had strange tastes. They were not tastes of Korean or Japanese foods I knew. But, waitress was so kind.

Bubble tea is awesome (especially the strawberry), ramen is a bit bland but still worth it after adding some of the hot chili sauce and soy sauce, and the bibimbap is a must try and my personal favorite. Wait-staff is always super welcoming and polite, and the smooth jazz they've always got playing in the background creates a relaxing atmosphere. 10/10 would eat again.

From the front the store looks closed and quite frankly scary. There's no parking in the front so go around back and there's about 18 parking spaces if not more. The service was amazing I was seriously impressed. Don't worry the people there speak English very well. The food was hot, yummy, fresh, and most of all real authentic. Must Go to

They make it perfectly clear that there are no refunds discounts, or substitutions in the event that you are not happy with your meal. There were six of us and our meal, three of us didn't eat what we ordered. Food was like warm.

Always love this place, the seafood pancake appetizer is unique and quite good. Mostly have good traditional Korean dishes like Japchae, Galbi, Bul go ki, etc. Also real Japanese ramen. There are few "americanized" "Asian" dishes for those that are more used to what Americans call Asian food at buffets and such. I've liked everything I've tried. Friendly service dining in, and quick take out as well.

First time eating Korean food. It is delicious. The staff was helpful and attentive. I don't have anything to compare it to as this was my first Korean experience, but I highly recommend this establishment. Do yourself a favor and get some Mochi at the end of your meal.

The first time I went to the Rice Bowl I had the spicy miso soup and it was absolutely delicious! My server was very hospitable and gave great service. I enjoyed my meal so much I actually went back 3 days in a row to try new dishes. Every experience was phenomenal! This place is very consistent and offers a wonderful menu. Highly recommend

This is my gf and I's go to date night place. We always get good, fast service. The steamed dumplings are like heaven in a bite. We generally get the Hot Stone Bibimbaps but have tried the ramen as well. It always comes out hot and delicious. You get so much for your money aswell. Its enough for dinner and lunch the next day. If you like a hole in the wall place with authentic Korean food you need to come through.

Broth is really good, egg is really good, noodles are really good but the veggies in there are not cooked all the way so when you bite it it's hard and ruins the soup and the price isn't that great.

This fantastic little hole in the wall is hard to miss, but once you step inside and you get their food, you will never miss it again. Their ramen portions are big enough to fill the hungriest of appetites, and are delicious down to the broth. A must have when you visit is the spicy miso ramen and the bibimbap!

Don’t be misled by what it says on the signboard if you’re looking for Korean or Japanese food. They are not awful but they are not anywhere near Korean or Japanese. Indeed, they taste very very Chinese...Taiwanese to be correct.

I ordered the yellow curry chicken with potatoes. The potatoes were not fully cooked and the curry was Way To SALTY.. 6 bites was all I could take My wife ordered a noodle dish. She ate about 1/3 of it. No FLAVOR she said.. Nope not again will we be going back

Good food (well above average for New Albany), but the portions seemed small for the price point. The Rice Bowl has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that's a nice change from most NA restaurants where casual still means that they try to rush you out once you've gotten your food. The establishment was fairly busy when I visited, and got busier while I dined, but the server was quick and attentive.

If you are looking for some real Korean food, this is the place. I had the kimchi fried rice on one occasion, and the curry chicken on another. They were both fantastic. If you are an adventurous eater this is the place for you. They're not afraid to cook real Korean food and are proud of it!

I travel a lot and often am on a mission to find authentic korean cuisine. THIS IS THE SPOT! best kimchi I've had since I was a child and the beef bulgogi was absolutely on point. I knew my stomach was full but the flavor was so good, I just couldn't stop eating! you get what youcoay for and what you pay for is quality food and extremely friendly service! My wife and I were looking for a new place to go to. I don't believe this place is new, but it certainly is to us. This place has some of the best flavors in Asian cuisine. Better than we've had in a long time. We had the crab rangoon and spicy cucumbers both were fantastic. I tried their firecracker chicken which was spicy but not over the top and was also delicious. My wife had chicken and broccoli she absolutely loved it. The service was outstanding. The Rice bowl will now be in our regular rotation for places to eat. Our only regret is that we didn't go sooner.

First time giving it a shot and well worth it! Only complaint is that kids menu had typical American fare which we find annoying at alot of places. Our kids generally like trying new and unique things, but an adult sized portion is a bit much. Its ramen, I would think there could be a kid size portion.
