This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Barbecue restaurant.
I dropped by Martin's with a friend and would definitely recommend it. I ordered the Whole Hog Platter with a side of Mac and Cheese and Potato Salad. All of it was tasty and as a bonus, you get two slices of bread. I recommend their great spicy BBQ sauce.
I cannot tell you enough good things about this place! We were traveling and randomly chose a place to eat, and boy did we win the lottery with this one! The food was absolutely mind blowing amazing!!! The service was incredibly outstanding every single person that I spoke to in there was outstanding! The prices were reasonable. Cozy atmosphere! Well worth the stop! I cannot wait to be traveling through again!
Brisket was smoky with a crisp outside and moist inside. Nice smoke ring. Generous servings. Interesting local brews on tap.
Serves was fast and friendly atmosphere
The most delicious BBQ I've ever had..and generous portions..highly recommend.
First time visit. We tried two types of the smoked wings and bbq pulled pork sandwiches. Solid three on all-- literally just okay. I was intrigued by the "whole hog" bbq done right there. My pork bbq was okay, but not different from any other sandwich. No real table service just place your order and sit down with your number. Huge patio for outdoor seating.
Love the food and everything about this place
Good food. Not a fan of the sauces but they're well put together. The sauces seem to be based around vinegar, if that helps. The meat and other menu items are excellent. Try the loaded BBQ baked potato, it's really good.
I had ribs, babies one. It was really good. The two sides were good too. And also they provide good choices of beer. I had two of them and they are delicious. I would love to go back again. The waitress was very nice and friendly.
Cute atmosphere. Great food. Great prices!
Maybe the best pulled pork I've ever had. Not a huge fan of the runny sauces.
Food was great , the staff was very nice, and the restrooms are clean! Best smoked wings I have had in a long time, go for the Memphis dry rub.
The food was delicious and service was excellent. We had leftovers however my husband walked off without our to go box. Not happy.
Very nice place good food
It was just ok, a really sweet thin young lady meet us and was so nice. Then we went to order, a different lady with no smile on her face, who was not listening to us waited on us. We got the pulled pork, you could almost see the coleslaw. I got 16 fries for $2.25 they were good, but not enough for the money. Cornbread is good but overpriced as well. The sauce is different due to where it comes from, it's really thin like water. I'm glad that they are in the space for it needed life in it. Overall food was good, but I'm 1 and done. I hope you enjoy it, and please give it a try.
Definitely reasonably priced for bbq. We got whole hog pulled pork bbq sandwiches with mac and cheese and potato salad. They actually brought out 2 sides of mac and cheese initially, but when I informed that I had asked for potato salad with mine, they immediately brought it out, no questions asked. They were so good and on-the-spot with the service it seriously made me question if it had been me that ordered wrongly.... Either way, I really greatly appreciated the promptness of the service and both sides were soooo good that they about knocked my socks off. This place has great service and a wonderful staff! I can't wait to come back again!!!!!
Great food and service. Fast in and out lunch spot.
Best brisket I've had in a long time.
A nice fast casual barbecue restaurant. Affordable pricing and good food. Specialty mixed drinks and an open bar. Some of the portion sized were a bit small and a few side items didn't quite hit the spot but otherwise a great place for lunch or dinner.
This is my new go to BBQ joint in the city. Ryan, the manager came around and made sure everything was on point. Even showed us the the pig they put in the smoker but he said takes about 24 hours before it's done (likely going back tomorrow for that reason alone)!!.. The team they had was super friendly, 3 different team members, and the manager all made sure we had nothing missing, quality service and delicious food! I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life but what ever you get; add the Alabama white sauce to it... It's the best thing ever.
I absolutely loved my meal! I'm never one to suggest a bar-b-que place, but I'm glad my friends did! There was a definitive home-cooked vibe to each thing I had (macaroni and cheese, green beans, and a gigantic bologna sandwich). The food wasn't overly complicated, as many (too many) restaurants are want to do lately. The restaurant itself was packed with extremely friendly staff. I finally got to enjoy an unpretentious and delicious dinner for the first time in a long time!
Disappointing! We came real close to asking for our money back. The baked potato was cold. When we told them about it, we were informed that they did not have a microwave to heat it up and they were out of potatoes. Instead they gave us a bowl of overcooked fries. My brother ordered ribs and they were so tough that he couldn't cut them with the butter knife that they gave us with the silverware. When we told them about it they offer to take them back in the kitchen and cut them up...? Last but not least, my sister ordered a pulled pork BBQ sandwich to go. They we're out of that too! She got a brisket sandwich instead. Two tiny slices of brisket. Almost 10 bucks. Don't waste your time or your money at this place.
Really smokey, tasty BBQ, and that's my favorite kind. Nice big dining room & bars, so any type of party can be comfortable. Definitely will be going back.
Food is fantastic, servers are great as well!! Highly recommend. I had the nachos, pimento cheese club, homemade chips, and deviled eggs. All wonderful.
Great Food...Friendly Staff.
Food is fantastic. I wish they would just put all the sauces on the tables like a lot of other places.
The dopest White Sause i have ever experienced!
Was good food. Didnt know i had to go up and order at counter until after sitting at back bar for a few minutes until i realized no one was coming to help us there. But once we figured that out the good was great and it's a cool restaurant to sit and chat
The food was incredible! The staff was friendly and helpful! I have a little one that is a picky eater but with their kids menu she actually had options!! Great addition to the Germantown-Highland area! We will definitely be coming back!
Recently opened but they function like a well oiled machine. I ordered more sides so we could try them all. Lots of branded merchandise for sale also. Love the converted gas station building and vintage signs.
I'm super picky about BBQ because I worked at a pit in college. This is one of the best (if not the best) in Louisville. Dry rub is so good. Thanks for not dousing it in sauce! Great job on re-inventing Lynn's old place. Thanks for coming to the neighborhood!
Great meat. No sauce needed. Delicious sides.
Good vibe, nice people. Decent food overall (sliced turkey and broccoli salad good, pork decent, baked beans below average), but agree with others that the value isn't there. Felt overpriced for what it was and I will likely go elsewhere in the city for bbq next time.
I went in on my lunch to try it out. Immediately after ordering my sandwich the girl asks me for payment. “You’re going to take payment before I even get my food?” I asked. She muttered something like “We just kinda go with the flow on payment.” I’ve worked in many restaurants for many years and I can’t imagine asking someone to pay me before they’ve even laid eyes on their plate. If I chose to order more food after my lunch plate she would have had to debit my card 2 times for one visit. If I wanted that experience I’d go to fast food. Hell, even at a quick service restaurant you can see the food before paying. Lazy, rude, huge etiquette violation.
We were visiting the area on vacation and wanted to find some local cuisine. The staff was very courteous, the food was great, and the price was right. If we're ever back in the area, we'll be back!
Great food!! Extremely friendly and efficient staff.
King Salad is good but put it on a large platter than a stainless bowl. Brisket is good but need a larger portion on the salad. Only 3 oz. is not even enough for a sandwich. Prefer Mamas Mustard & Pic version.
Absolutely FANTASTIC barbeque. Ribs literally fall off the bone and portions are large for the price! Definitely coming back again!
The food was great will visit again.
Got the fried chicken sandwich. Delicious.
The service was excellent. The food just ok. I got a leg quarter mac n cheese and green beans. It was just ok
The food was delicious and service was prompt!
Very steady business. Food quality is acceptable if you are a meat eater. Many different BBQ items and styles to choose from. Pleasant customer service and presentable when it comes to cleanliness and the overall look and feel of the restaurant.
Super friendly staff, great service, and a cool place to hang out. But the food is a massive disappointment. Both the whole hog and brisket were served to us cold, and there was no flavor to make up for it. Same goes for the mac and cheese. At least the vinegar bbq sauce was tasty, and the slaw isn't bad.
Omg soooooooo good
Best family bbq in town.
Great BBQ, everything made by themselves. Excellent service too.
The drinks and food were amazing. We tried the old fashioned and bloody Mary. Each was put together well. I ordered the pork shoulder sandwich which was very tasty, but also able to stick together well. Sometimes a barbeque sandwich had a tendency to fall apart, but this one had great gripability. We also had wings and hush puppies. Highly recommend.
Best BBQ restaurant I’ve been to. We smoke meat at home and have never been impressed with restaurant bbq but this was on par with our own homemade. We got the large sample platter and all the meats and sides were outstanding. Friendly & helpful staff and good bar selection in a clean & fun atmosphere.
Very what they did to the place. Love the food. Also liked the entertainment. I love the X TRIO.
Love the vibe and environment of the establishment plus great food is just a plus to the already A+ grade!!! The warm and inviting southern feel makes you don't wanna leave. Would definitely recommend
Ordered sandwich brisket with coleslaw, taste ok and with the amount and price, I think should try some other places. The local sauce very watery and not much taste.
The service was amazing! And the lovely atmosphere made me want to come back!
Really good BBQ and nice staff. Definitely will come back. Their spicy BBQ sauce definitely had heat to it.
Excellent BBQ and sides. We got the Big Mama Sampler with ribs, pulled pork, and brisket plus four sides. Particularly enjoyed the ribs and the cornbread hoecake but loved it all. Highly recommend.
Great half chicken. Get the pinto beans as a side dish, they are awesome. Hippie salad was surprisingly good. You order fresh greens at your own risk at most barbecue joints, but the greens here are fresh and delicious. No one is phoning anything in here. Order at the cash register or at the bar.
Like others have said: "The food is great!" The service ain't so bad either! The baked beans are absolutely fantastic! A can't go wrong.
Great Food, Very Attentive Staff, Very Country Feeling, Would Return If Im Ever In Town Again.
This place runs out of meat fast, and for good reason! Photo is the loaded nacho app, and we snagged the last available orders of brisket for the night. Servings and sides aren't huge, but they're very good. And their variety of BBQ sauces are a perfect complement to the meat. I would've taken a photo of the brisket, but it disappeared off my tray very quickly.
Awesome as always. Great Service.
Glad someone finally moved into this vacant location. Got the momas sampler and everything was solid. Very good spot.
I don't like giving low scores but I had hoped some great barbecue had finally came to Louisville. Overall the staff and atmosphere were great. The whole hog and pork shoulder were both OK. I got to try the fries, green beans, slaw, and Mac n cheese. All of them were good none of them were great. For the price you pay this place just isn't worth it. I might go back to try some of the non barbecue southern menu items. If you want barbecue of the same quality that is cheaper go to Marks feed store. I never recommend marks but that's exactly what it reminded me of except more expensive.
Just stopped in to have a beer and check out the place.Free Bird was blasting through the speakers and I knew I was going to love this place.Interesting decor.Look forward to dining here. The menu looks great.Of course I'm checking out the food as it comes out of the kitchen.Looks and smells wonderful.
The barbecue is okay just kind of average the barbecue sauce they serve is very watery.
Stopped in Martin's BBQ today for lunch was on call so had to get to go. I sat at the bar and ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries and the bartender was very friendly the food was delicious was my first time and I'll definitely be back great service and great food
Never fails to be some of the best BBQ around.
Excellent bbq and great service.
Absolutely amazing, will definitely go back, highly recommended. Great atmosphere, the servers were on point! They have a decent size parking lot. You can sit outside and watch the games or sit inside. The atmosphere is great. Good food and service, see for yourself...yummy good!!
Good barbecue with endearing Nashville memorabilia...hope Louisville crowd doesn't hold their L&N partner's trndu hipness against this place, which is old school BBQ
Very friendly staff. Food good. Genuine homemade macaroni and cheese. Bbq sauce needs to be a little thicker
I ordered Martin's whole Brisket to serve for a medium size Christmas party and their was some left over. Communication from Martin's staff was the Best ever. Explaining how to cut a whole Brisket also details on reheating. The Brisket I picked up was Awesome!!! So juicy and full of flavor. I guarantee it's the best I've ever had. I recommend Martin's Bar-B-Que over all the REST!!!! Thumbs up to the STAFF and BBQ !!!!!
The service was A1! The waitresses were nice and accommodating the portions were nice however the food was just ok.
Best brisket i have EVER had!!!
I've been looking for a place with good spare/St Louis style ribs for 3 years. This is the place. The wings are great, the ribs are overwhelming and fantastic! Each of the side were well worth it. Just know a full rack is a huge portion.
Clean facility , very good barbecue. Ribs, chicken, pulled pork and chicken. Table service, side dishes. Good spacing, in the old Lynn's paradise cafe location. Also brisket. Parking lot and on the street. Beer, mixed drinks offered. Friendly service.
Food was great! They did run out of ribs right after we ordered, but I can absolutely understand why. The catfish is also great, very crispy. They have a great selection of beers. Would love to come back and try some more things!
If I go out to dinner and pay for a meal I would like the food to be better han what I could make at home. Ribs tasted like lighter fluid and brisket was nothing special. Baked beans also had an odd flavor. Hush puppies were very good, as was the service. Just wasnt a big fan of their smoking style...at all.
One of my favorite lunch spots in Lou. The catfish is my favorite menu item, but haven't had anything yet I didn't like. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Has decent parking which is a nice bonus.
When you walk in you order at a counter and have a seat. Even though we didn't have a server per say the staff was very attentive. Our food was good but not really hot. My baked potato was cold and my sandwich was too. The restaurant itself was very clean and lots to look at on the walls.
Unfortunately, a big disappointment. For the price, the serving size is laughable. The $8 brisket sandwich only had two small slices of soggy brisket, and was barely palatable. The meat itself was more akin to a pot roast than a brisket. It didn't taste like any BBQ brisket I've ever had, and I don't mean that as a positive. Unless they really step up their game, all of the nice work they did to the old Lynn's will be in vain. It is worth noting, that the only thing I did eat was the brisket, but I've heard negative reports on the ribs and pulled pork as well. I will say, the staff was friendly, and the beer selection is pretty decent. That'll net them an extra star.
Disappointing. Food was so lackluster we couldn't even finish it. To their credit, the service was very good, our cashier was very friendly and helpful when we ordered. But the beans were somehow worse than from a can, and the salsa on the tacos tasted like old Ro Tel. Potato salad had no flavor. Tacos were greasy and cold. I was hoping the pork shoulder or brisket would redeem this place, but we could have gone to any other restaurant in the city and gotten better barbecue. Overall just kind of boring and tasteless. I had high hopes for this place, but we just couldn't enjoy anything we ordered. Maybe could be improved with a little more attention to seasoning and freshness.
Today we had such an awesome experience! We are bbq connoisseurs, and try a different restaurant each time were in town. Our experience at Martin's was by far the best! The food was absolutely amazing and so was the service. The staff always made sure we were enjoying ourselves and our drinks never reached half empty because they were always on it! We highly recommend the pulled pork shoulder, the sliced brisket, sweet tea and pecan pie!
My wife and I came in and the brisket tray and pulled pork tray. Total was $30 with $5 tip. Excited and eager for some good bbq, but completely let down. The bbq sauce is closer to bbq water. The pulled pork has decent texture but lacking in flavor. The brisket was 50% fat at least. One decent thick piece of meat sticking out of the side but the meat in the middle was all fat and mush. Both portions of meat were not really suitable for the price tag. My Mac and cheese was dry and could lift the whole thing in one piece with my fork. My wife’s Mac was much better admittedly. Will stick with Mission BBQ
Their catfish tacos were fantastic
Great food AND service. Neat environment.
My first time there but it was really good. Quite Pricey.
Great BBQ! The pork we had was super tender and had a good smokey flavor. It's our new regular BBQ place in the neighborhood.
Favorite BBQ spot in Louisville area hands down!
Just OK. Order and pay at counter, have food brought to you after calling out your number. Eat out of baskets. Service was attentive/ excellent, but the total experience was not memorable.
I think this is my fifth trip to Martin's and every time the staff goes beyond every expectation. From a cola while I waited for a to go order to a taste of a new item fresh off the grill. All my experiences say you won't be disappointed going to Martin's.
Great experience! Lots of food options, both BBQ joint classics and new takes on stuff. It was actually hardest to decide on side items; they all sounded so good! You order and pay at the back counter, then the food is brought out to you, though we had people checking on us throughout the meal for refills and sauces. I would rank the food and value above Mark's. Only drawback is no clearly marked allergens or vegan/vegetarian options on the menu
Really enjoyed my salad with pulled pork. My daughter had ribs, which were great and a huge portion. Hush puppies was also tasty!
Service was impeccable food was amazing!!! A must have bfor BBQ in Louisville.
Omg the best bbq ive ever had. They should add ribtips to the menu.
Great burgers and barbecue.
One of the best barbecue restaurants I have ever been to.
The brisket was very good. most items were decent, but the green beans were inedible (so much salt that the tasted briny). Staff were friendly, responsive, and helpful, but did mess up one order.
Martin's NEVER disappoints. The food and service are top notch. I love this place!
Kind of bland. I had the brisket wedge salad and it left something to be desired. The strawberry cake was super dry. Probably won't be back. I liked the outdoor-ish seating area.
Great little local BBQ chain. Service was great and love the free mini moon pies they give out with your order!
Very open seating inside, good vibe, friendly staff, and good food. Kind of had a blues joint feel to it. It's bbq, what's not to love- lol!
The food was delicious and the service was great. They went out of their way to make any mistakes right. Kudos to them!! The only complaint was my husband said the ribs seemed too dry and that he had a hard time getting them off the bone.
Great food, excellent service and discovered a great new sauce! Must try the Alabama White, my new favorite!!
Enjoyed the food and the building was nice. Live music a plus!
Absolutely delicious
Loved this place. We are picky about BBQ and this is very good food.
Best BBQ in Louisville! I had the Whole Hog on a BBQ tray, which was perfect for myself. It was very juicy and delicious, especially with the sauce options on the table. For sides, I chose the baked beans and hush puppies. The hush puppies were amazing, but the baked beans had some other type of meat in it. You order at the counter, and they will bring the food to your table by announcing your number. They also have a bar with beer and liquor. They have a free parking lot, and a second bar when it gets busy. Prices are reasonable and great food quality. Most flavorful and tender BBQ I've found to date!
Zero stars. Lots of fat in the pulled pork. The good sauce is behind the counter and they dont like to give u but a pinck of that. You get all the water sauce you want. Very small sides. This is the second time my wife and i have tried this place and both times two thumbs down!
Stopped by today for the first time and WOW! I fancy myself a bit of an amateur BBQ connoisseur and this place nailed the experience. Ryan (the manager) and his team set a new bar for service - checking on us regularly to make sure we never went without refills, condiments, or elbow room. I went with the wings, mac n cheese, fries and a half slab of ribs .. all so good. Looking forward to coming back to try some other dishes. Ryan took the time to give us a quick tour of the smokers and teach us a little about the process, which was a really nice touch (thanks Ryan!). We will definitely return soon!
First time i went there was just me and my 3 year old. It was Easter and it was barely any guest. To make a long story short they didn't serve us anything but a menu and never came back. My daughter is tells them shes hungry and they still didnt serve us drinks or anything. I will never go back there again.
Music too loud to enjoy meal.
The service was awful the young lady was very disrespectful. Very disappointing over all!
Fantastic bbq and a fitting atmosphere. I appreciate the fact that Dr. Dre has a place on the wall as well as Kenny Rogers. The only griping point is the price. It's good food, but if you're on a budget, then you'd be better off looking for cheaper fare. Other than that, great place.
Very great food service it has a backyard feel about it all around great atmosphere
Passing through town tonight and popped in here at random for a quick bite. So glad we did because this place was great! The food was delicious and the place was bright and clean. Loved their Jack's Creek BBQ sauce. Pulled pork and brisket were both melt in your mouth incredible. Good selection of drinks as well. Best part though was the service. The whole staff was absolutely above and beyond in being helpful and friendly. Really the ultimate in southern hospitality. If I ever find myself in Louisville again, I will most definitely be coming back!
I was less than impressed with the food. The Mac n cheese was blah and dry and the cornbread hoecake tasted burnt and bland. The original BBQ sauce was like vinegar with a little spice in it. The actual pulled pork was pretty good, but I've had better. The sweet BBQ sauce that you can get, you have to ask for, for some reason, was much better than the vinegar based one. I got two different kids meals for my kids, which both came with homemade potato chips. The chips were dark brown, they were so overcooked, and no one at the table liked them, least of all my kids. I will never go back here. Since there are several other BBQ places in Louisville that are so good, there's no reason. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the staff was so nice and helpful.
The smoked wings were great! Cool atmosphere. Lots of drinks to choose from. The drink cups are a little small, but free refills so not a huge deal. The brisket and pulled shoulder were really good as well. We all had the house sauce and it was perfect. Just a little kick to it. Great space for families or big parties!
Friendly and helpful staff, great food, and reasonable prices. I got the sampler platter and there wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. The ribs and brisket were tender and flavorful, the chicken was juicy and tender, and the sides were wonderful. The pulled pork was a bit dry but tasted alright. WARNING: The menu may say “pints” of sides but that is blatantly false, the platter we got came with a “pint” of Mac and Cheese and it was more like a few fork fulls. Still it was a good experience overall.
Had the half track of the babies, and the wife got the pulled pork. The young man behind the counter was very helpful and asked if it was our first time. He walked us through the menu and the ordering procedure. Good was great!!! Service was as well!! Will be back!!!
Awesome brisket. My first visit but will return.
Food was delicious prices were great and the people were very hospitable
Good food, great service
The brisket is delicious and plenty of sides to choose from.
TL;DR: good, but I like feast better. The whole hog want as good as pulled pork. I'll reserve judgement until I've had their pulled pork shoulder. The sauce provided was vinegar based. It was good, and had a nice heat to it, but I personally prefer the ketchup based sauces better. I'm told there are other sauces available, but I wanted to try the "stock" first. Beer selection was decent, I had 3 Floyd's gumball head.
Great BBQ. The sauces are a step above..
I am not a fan of giving a low score to this place, I had such high hopes going in. The people and atmosphere are great, hence the two stars. But the quality, price, and taste were lack luster in both mine and my husband's dishes. The pulled pork had minimal flavor, almost as if it had been reheated from the day before, and was a bit dry and chewy. We had a side of broccoli salad (sub par) and beans (worthwhile). My husband ordered the 'whole hog BBQ tray' and felt the price was mismatched from the serving size and taste. The whole experience was disappointing. Perhaps it was an off time/day and your experience will be better. As for us, we will not be returning.
OMG the best bbq ever. I can not say enough good things about this place. Everything I've tried has been AMAZING!!!! The service is always great.!
Amazing Smoked Meats and Delicious Side Dishes.. Staff Was Friendly and Love The Remodel.. Very Cool Patio...
Nice atmosphere. Didn't like any of the sauces. Food was meh. The place better than the food.
I love the setup. The place was much larger inside than I expected. You can scoop up a menu, order at the counter and seat yourself. Everything was quick and organized. Everyone was professional and friendly. My meat was a little tough but everything was still good and seasoned to perfection. Reasonably priced as well.
Excellent. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had
The best BBQ I’ve had since moving from Texas. Our drinks were INCREDIBLE!! Zach expressed lots of pride in his drink making skills and it showed. All around a great experience. Looking forward to coming back!
Absolutely loved the food and the customer service.
Enjoyed a brisket sandwich, melts in your mouth!
1st time at Martin's BBQ in the building that was Lynn's Paradise Cafe. We got pulled pork sandwiches. They were good, but not as succulent as Mark's. A side of potato salad was very good (& better than Mark's potato salad) - very creamy & my husband liked that it didn't contain any boiled egg. We shared a side salad that wasn't anything special: a split, cracked bowl contained romaine, some slices of red onion, shredded cheese & bacon bits. That's all. A few grape tomatoes would have been a nice pop of color & flavor. You order at the counter & pay before you get your food. Similar to service at a fast food place. Would prefer table service with the extent of their menu.
Friendly service! Good food, but small portion for price. The atmosphere reminds me of food service at an amusement park restaurant. This is a tourist attraction, not a place i would choose to dine regularly
My ribs were stale and hard to cut, and my sister's baked potato was cold. Fail.
I ordered six Alabama White wings and homemade chips. The food was impeccable!!!
Let me tell you, I ordered the brisket tacos, my fiance ordered brisket tacos absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, Phil was great, informative and knowledgeable about everything Louisville. 1st place we ate at after driving 10hrs from D.C. Truly a gem of a place, highly recommend, will come back.
Love everything about this place!
Five isn't enough stars for the catfish tacos and fries!!! The service was friendly and welcoming.
Really delicious. Was a little disappointed in the portion size of my fish, it was more like fish strips vs what the menu says as. It said Catfish Fillets and the picture clear shows those were not fillets! The baked beans were Absolutely delicious and the broccoli salad was tasty.
Gotta love Martin's brisket, the potatoes are not bad either! Favorite Martin's in Louisville.
The food was very tasty and the employees were extra friendly and helpful! The atmosphere is casual and can accommodate large parties. I would definitely recommend this superb restaurant!
Food was decent. Beer selection was lacking. Prices a bit high. The dining area was flooded with smoke from the BBQ which made it difficult to breathe.
We first found this place in nashville. Then surprise, found 1 in Louisville. Mac n cheese had a bit of a diff flavor than Nashville, but still good. Got the brisket & wings in alabama sauce. Sooo good n smokey. Hubs got the pork should n wings n devils nectar. Superb. Nice heat to them. Still cant get used to the bbq sauce in this part, used to thicker, not thinner. Atmosphere was ok, except for all the loud people here on a Sat night!:) would come back again!
Great food and great friendly staff. Thanks for the sauce recommendations.
Went to this restaurant on last Sunday after church it was my husband and I first time going. The positives were I loved the set up of the place and the staff was super friendly. I had the Smoked turkey sandwich and macaroni & cheese. The sandwich was quite small for me especially for the price but the smoked turkey was good. The macaroni & cheese tasted like a kid cooked it. Dry, no cheese, butter, milk etc ingredients that should make a good mac n cheese. Hate i didn't take a pic of it. My husband had the pulled pork nachos. It was a nice portion as far as the tortilla chips my husband said it was OK. They could've added more pulled pork and cheese sauce in his opinion. Another thing is they use plastic cups instead of glasses. Being from Memphis, TN we know BBQ but I doubt if we will be back here. At least we did try it.
Had a platter so I could try a variety and it was all good. Tender and juicy not overly seasoned. Would recommend it. The pulled pork has a slight vinegar taste but in TN that is normal.
Local favorite. Pork sandwich was so good.
Food was good. Nice atmosphere. Good friendly service.
Excellent food! Nice outside eating area to enjoy the beautiful weather! Get the brisket!!
This really deserves a 4.5 Star. I will say the manager and service was great! I always enjoy speaking with the person in charge and seeing what they recommend. I have been to over 80+ BBQ joints and only a few of those have had the PitMaster or Manager/Owner that would come out an talk with you. This is only the 3rd place that has not mentioned Burnt Ends as their best entree. I bought the Hillbilly Taco and it was phenomenal. It was mouth watering and unique. The Mac and Cheese was also great. If I had one suggestion, instead of baking it, maybe put it in the smoker for a few minutes to get that smokey flavor. I would put them top five BBQ places in Louisville. Atmosphere was great and fun!
Wonderful barbecue, great service, fun atmosphere. I enjoyed everything about our experience. If only there were more of these places!
Ribs were dry and tough, sauce was not on the table, infrequent visit by staff
BBQ is awesome n service is great!
Whole hog sandwich was tasty and the pinto beans were great! The young ladies that were working were very friendly and helpful making sure we were enjoying our food and we had all the sauces we wanted.
Great chow. Solid beer selection. Goofy decor.... The side bar is all 80s WWF. Slick
