What's not to love! You have a business of 51 years that continues to thrive in a small town with people that come from down the road too many many miles away just eat there BBQ! Knoth's BBQ is a staple for this area and that business should be a staple for every other business in the world because of what it stands for, a longtime family tradition. Also, family, friends and food! They love their customers and know them by name their menu may be simplistic but is very good it is something you can never say no to you have to stop in and give it a try I promise you won't regret it you'll probably be thanking me later! Pretty good pork, excellent if you're into the Western KY style BBQ. Sauce is mustard and vinegar based with a hint of sweet or straight pepper and heat. Just add a bit of both on a bun with the slaw, pickles and onions and you can't go wrong

I love this place and make the drive from Murray because they've got the best bbq anywhere around! I worked at the Murray location more than 25 years ago and I've never found another bbq that can even compare. Their sauce is awesome and I love their mustard slaw, too. Yum, yum, yum!!!

Love this place! The BBQ is awesome!!! And I am a very picky person about my BBQ! The atmosphere is perfect for families. When our kids come in from out of town they always want to go to Knoths for BBQ first thing and usually the last thing before they leave and also in between! The service is always quick and friendly. I highly recommend. One thing to note is that they do not accept credit cards.

We planned and pulled off a surprise dinner for my fathers 80th birthday. He was very surprised and happy because we had about 25 family members from 2 yo to 90 yo attend. Andy the owner and his staff prepared three sides and then took individual orders from our family. Every thing was extremely tasty and delicious. The waitresses were very kind, extremely attentive and friendly. Andy and the kitchen staff also went the extra mile to help all they could. Everyone in our party was pleased with the dinner. Highly recommend this fine establishment

It was a very nice, quaint old restaurant/diner. Prices are low for hamburgers but the BBQ pork plate price is just shy of $9, which is average. The food is awesome though. The meat is great, the fries were crinkle cut frozen type (standard) the coleslaw seems homemade and is a yellow color, and quite sweet, which compliments the BBQ sauce very well. My only dig, was that i like pickles with my BBQ plate meals, and it came without any (I stole one from my wife's hamburger, as can be seen in the photo) other than that, it's definitely a great place to stop by. It's seasonal too, so enjoy it while it's open!

BBQ was good, especially the sauces provided on the side but sandwiches were served without plates. Server was very pleasant. We arrived at a little after 6 pm and they were starting to close about 10 minutes before 7 pm.

Best barbecue in the whole dam area! The pulled pork is consistently tender and juicy. Try the pork plate which has great slaw to complement the pork. The sauce is unique and goes oh so well with the pulled pork. My kids enjoy the secret menu item, the Shelby. Ask them about it - it’s great if you don’t want a big plate or for the kids.

We were in town looking for good BBQ, and Knoths showed up with great reviews. We had a party of 5 and were served promptly and most of us had the beef (brisket) sandwich. It came with an amazing mustard-influenced bbq sauce that was tangy, sweet, and hit all the taste buds well. The meat was tender and not dry at all. They had extra BBQ sauce on the table, one was a spicy bbq sauce. It was sweet for the first .05 seconds and the rest had me sweating like crazy and i kept coming back for more! The spicy bbq sauce was AMAZING. Service was great and prices were spot-on, considering the sandwiches are a bit smaller than a traditional sandwich bun.

Sides of fries served hot and the slaw is awesome! The hot sauce tastes fantastic and we keep bottles of mild and mixed for the faint of heart, and we buy enough to get us through the Winter as we mourn each season closing!

My job requires extensive travel and has allowed me the privilege to eat at many different establishments throughout the years and truthfully I’ve never had BBQ brisket that was actually worth bragging to anyone about until I tried the BBQ brisket an Knoths in Lake City. I can honesty tell everyone that reads this post that you will never have a more perfectly cooked, tender beef brisket anywhere and especially with that wonderful mouthwatering hickory smoke flavor that permeates throughout the meat and Ive only experienced that flavor on the surface and never have experienced that throughout the entire cut of meat before and I think I have found the first real mind blowing culinary experience in the one place I would never have expected and that is in Lake City Ky on hwy 62 before you cross the river on the right called Knoths BBQ.

My family and I have been eating at Knoth's for decades, and we can always count on the same wonderful food, fantastic service, and incredible atmosphere every time we step through the door. They keep the menu simple, and for good reason. Why be ok at a million things when you can be the best at a few classics? They have the most tender, delicious pork anywhere on God's green earth, and that sauce? Ask anyone 'round these parts about that sauce, and they'll probably admit they've got a few bottles stashed in their pantry to get them through the long winter months when Knoth's is closed, because it's just THAT good. This place is an absolute staple of the region, and you'd struggle to find a better casual dining experience.

The Pork shoulders are a great way to feed a crowd. Go in for my favorite, the pulled pork plate served with golden brown crinkle fries and delicious mustard slaw! Have an ice cream cone for dessert and you will walk away happy and satisfied! You cannot beat Knoths!!!!

I'm a nomadic fisherman who roams the countries waters in search of new species of fish. During my travels I have tasted many types of BBQ. From KC to St. Louis and greater Missouri, Bama, The Carolina's, Georgia Tennessee, Virginia even places that aren't known for BBQ up north. Knoth's, out of all these places keeps me awake at night, fighting the urge to get in the car and drive 16 hours to Kentucky dam. Knoth's 1/2 pound chopped pork plate is the closest thing to spiritual nirvana you will find on this earth. Their Cole slaw is legendary, I would sell my grandmother to Egyptian slave traders for the recipe. Their menu is simple but in that simplicity they are able to attain a perfection unmatched by any other BBQ Joint I have ever eaten at. Eat here BUT be warned, you will develop a life long dependence on their food for which there is no cure.

BEST BBQ around, my all-time favorite sauce. Don't be surprised CASH or CHECK only, NO credit or No Debit cards. Friendly staff. Family owned/operated for something like 50 year's. I often get a whole shoulder for our large family gatherings of 40 people. Open until 7:30 pm or until they sell OUT, CLOSED in the winter. Definitely check them out.

I've been eating barbecue all my life. When I travel, I always try to hit up at least one 'cue joint a trip if not one a day. I can say without hesitation this place was one of the worst I've ever visited. They were out of pulled pork at 5:30. The waitress said the brisket is great! I ordereay it and it was more like a bad chuck roast sliced in tiny pieces. Their sides? Crappy slaw, limp fries and white bread sliced diagonally. That's it. Portions were skimpy. Meat was basically flavorless and coleslaw was terrible. And my tab? $12.50 before tip. I can't believe I drove 7 miles off of I-24 for this garbage. Be smart...steer clear of this place...

Knoths is the most family orientated classic place to eat and make memories.Mr.knoth use to feed all of us neighborhood kids every day of the summer.5-10 of us would ride our bikes after fishing all day and knock on the back door.He would pop his head out the back door and count how many of us there was.After about 5 minutes he and other employees would come out with trays full of the best BBQ SANDWICHES ORDER OF FRIES AND A LARGE DRINK.He did this for years free of charge.Mr and Mrs.knoth are amazing people and always kept us kids a place that felt like home.

I have eaten here my whole life, I remember when there were two locations! The best BBQ and sauce that I’ve ever eaten. My absolute favorite!

We went here because it somehow got 4.9 stars and was open past 6pm. However, dont go here if you dont like mustard, it's on and in everything. The meat was pretty dry. It was edible, however to top it off, there was a dead fly in with the fries. The staff there was really nice and helpful.

We lived in Grand Rivers in '14. Ate at Knoth's regularly! It is the best BBQ we have ever had and plan on taking a vacation this summer just to go back there. Will definitely be buying sauce to bring back home!

I’ve been eating at Knoth’s my entire life! (I’m now 48) I have tried BBQ in several states and no one can compare to Knoth’s. You can taste the hours of smoking the meat and the sauce tastes like no other. The sauce is so good in fact that the locals buy it by the bottle to get them through the winter months while the restaurant is closed! They only have two sides, but you will not care because the BBQ is the star of the show! The staff treats you like family and are the friendliest around. You will not go wrong coming by and visiting with them.
