The food was pretty good and I'm a picky person so it had to be close to heavenly. But the waitress my mother and I had was JUST A DOLL!!! She went above and beyond the call of fast food and made our lunch that much better. Didn't catch her name but she outta get a.raise for making an d man like me think he was you g and in a decent world again. Of your reading this young waitress. I thank you for all you did for us!

First time customers get a free desert of your choice! We had an amazing waitress, very knowledgeable of the menu and specialties, ready and willing to answer any questions we had. The food was pretty good with nice portions. We didn't have to wait too long either. If you're in the area and wanting a good home cooked meal, stop here!

Prices are way to high for the amount of food you get. The corn tasted funny so did the catfish. The waitress told us the two specials for the day and the prices and when we left the prices she told was wrong compared to the board with the specials on them. Our waitress also looked extremely sick or like she was on some hardcore drugs and not only that she was like 6 months pregnant and talking really slow didn't smile and just looked messed up. This was our second time eating here (the first being 5 years ago) and that was our last. They definitely need to up their game. And they used to not accept debit or credit cards but now they do except they don't tell you when you pay that an extra .25 centa will be added for using debit or credit. There was no sign stating this which isn't right in my opinion even if it's just .25 cents they should have e the sign saying that so people don't get mad about it. All around I think it needs to be shut down or someone else take over it because it's a horrible restaurant.

When you first walk in, don't be alarmed at the decor and appearance, or the fact that when you sit in one of the booths you can feel the springs in the cushions. If you get past all that, it is some great home cooking. Definitely not a young hipster crowd. Overall 4/5, just due to some cosmetic stuff. Cash or Checks only. Biscuits and Gravy w/ fried apples is a classic.

I wish there were an option for NO stars. My family & I ate at JJ today for the first time & we will NEVER return. The high chairs were FILTHY, there were gnats swarming us once our food arrived... it was overall unsanitary & the waitress even commented on the gnats & said they were EVERYWHERE!!! To add on to the filthy conditions, my burger arrived COLD & the patty may as well have been a hockey puck. My son’s corn dog was fried entirely too long & rock hard on the outside. My mother’s BLT was cold & soggy. My sister inlaw’s burger was also cold. The burger patties tasted like they were unseasoned & freezer burnt. I went in with higher hopes, but the visit was ultimately disappointing. I would not recommend to anyone & I definitely will not be returning.
