REVIEWS OF Honeywood Restaurant IN Kentucky

Fay Webb

We went to Honeywood after it was recommended by family and friends. We were not disappointed! Each of us ordered something different, and it was all great. My husband has specific food allergies that can make dining out difficult, but no problem here. Our server communicated with the chef and the recommendations made for a tasty meal he could safely enjoy. The service was excellent, the main courses were all well prepared, dessert was a lovely way to end the evening.

Erika Russ

Excellent food and attentive service. We loved the bacon-wrapped chicken and gnocchi, as well as the shrimp and grits. The sweet potato beignets were good but not as memorable as the entrees. The seasonal blackberry and peach pie was “like Christmas in July” as my husband put it, and a great way to end the meal.

Janet Wolfson

My shrimp, cheese grits and fish entree rocked! I’d come here again! Nice booth and pleasant atmosphere for a Saturday night date!

Bethanny Glahn

Always my favorite place in Lexington to eat. I love the farm to table approach. Atmosphere is magnificent and staff is always friendly.

Duane Detweiler

Great place to eat. Loved their blended burger.

Matt Sears

Service and atmosphere was great. Food was nothing special...

Hannah Schlaak

I got the shady lane salad and fiancé got the burger with hoecakes. Salad was pretty good but overpriced, burger was amazing. Also got a watermelon margarita but I could barely even drink it because it tasted like straight tequila. Four stars instead of 3 because we got the seasonal banana cream pie for dessert and it was a literal slice of heaven. I thought it was overpriced given the size until I tasted it. Worth every penny! Get it before it's gone!

Donald Cohen

Excellent Dining Experience Excellent service with Tony Absolutely outstanding starter-The Four O'Clock Excellent-Pan-Seared Vancouver Island Salmon Beurre Blanc Excellent-Seared Salmon Salad It was really a great birthday dinner from starter to coffee and is now on our repeat list.

lucaya

I was really impressed. Showcased our great Kentucky culture and local products without being too heavy, as our Kentucky cuisine can be. Bourbon based cocktails are hard to perfect, and theirs were perfect. High ratio of food quality and restaurant ambience to cost. I had a great evening.

Monica Whalen

Honeywood is a fantastic place to meet with family or friends for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is cozy, the service was great, and the food is phenomenal! Chef Josh's beetloaf is to die for! Can't wait to go back and try more of his creations!

Lilly M. Neal

Cozy place serving food made from local farms. Loved the speakeasy music, but the hoecakes (though advertised extensively) left much to be desired.

Bonnie Rutherford

The pot roast is the best i have had in a long time. The potatoes were excellent. Didn't care for the mustard carrots. The service was very good. I would recommend this restaurant.

Kathryn Boyle

Food was mediocre and just barely warm. No one from the restaurant even asked how are dining experience was! This was our second and final time at this establishment!

Tim Rutledge

First time visit and it was very good. Very fresh ingredients and unique dishes

JKmanMike

Went here for a celebration and the food was moderately priced and delicious. The service was a little slow but it was partially our fault. Location in the summit is great. Eat a meal and walk around the shops. Parking is a bit difficult

stephanie arnold

Loved it! Great brunch & drinks & great service. Love the use of locally sourced food and inventive recipes. Will be making this a regular in our restaurant circuit.

Roberta Stanford

Awesome food. Great service. Good location.

Jordan Anderson

I am always impressed when I visit Honeywood! I love their pick 3 option. It offers a nice value with fantastic food. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chocolate bread pudding was delicious! Every one who visits Honeywood should try to the Sweet Potato Beignets. We'll be back very soon.

Yulia P-B

Not sure what is happening but food quality went down very much so. Shrimp and grits seemed stale and shrimp overcooked. Other dishes also sad, scallops, and pot roast. Dos not like beignets , no flavor, no crust. Everything seems old and reheated Presentations very unappetizing. Desert not good. Pavlova is terrible and even bread pudding is not good. Hosts and waiters sometimes ok, sometimes not pleasant nor welcoming and we had a reservation. Went there twice last month and both times was surprised that it seems like chef is missing and no one is managing the place. I hope it will get better again.

Banana Jones

The food was okay and the service was fine, I just wasn’t blown away. They also got my order wrong. I probably won’t go back.

Juaacklyn Cunningham

I'm a regular at Honeywood. Great food, wine/beer, and service! I love the turkey burger. I hope it becomes a regular menu item.

Ali W

First time here and I had the Lexington eats week sample menu and it was delicious. Pork chop, pork belly, cheese grits, and some veggies. Had the flower of the hour cocktail and the chocolate pecan pie. Great service and atmosphere!

Barbara Mcfadden

This restaurant was amazing. Food was awesome, service was great. Reasonable prices.

Steven Clem

Had a large party and enjoyed every moment from the atmospshere to the drinks and food to the service. I enjoyed the pork chops and grits and my wife got the pot roast. Both were excellent, and the special pumpkin ginger cake was the best finish you could ask for.

Scott Grimes

Unique and cozy. Food is great!

Allen Lueckenotto

The food was good, some interesting combinations. Tried the beetloaf, yes that's right, beetloaf. It was tasty but not my favorite food. I'd go back, but try something different.

Ariel G

Good food.

Bill Heaton

Very tasty from salad to desert!

Danny Barnes

Awesome little gathering place. Great service great food

Mackenzie Fitch

LOVED this place. The food was great and the service even better. A very cozy vibe.

Aaron Cloud

Holy man! I thought Smithtown had good grits! This place is fantastic. From the appetizers all the way through, my dinner was fantastic. Sandwiches around 13 and dinners around 20, you won't break the bank here and your taste buds will thank you. Service was great, and the food was served promptly. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Make sure to try the house made ketchup. It's great!

David Stone

Very nice atmosphere, and delicious food. This was my first time eating here and it was delicious. I really liked the decor and layout. The staff was very friendly and we were given great service.

Jeremy Porter

Delicious food from local farms. Fantastic atmosphere and drinks. Excellent vegetarian options and perfectly seasoned meat dishes! Service met all our needs and took good care of us.

Shana Cunningham

Lunch and dinner are great. Never had a bad meal during lunch and dinner. Brunch is less than desirable, visited last Sunday. Brunch menu much smaller and omelette was not good.

Jon Mays

Average at best. Limited menu due to the fact that that they use mostly KY produced foods (except the shrimp I had last night unless there is a shrimp farm in KY I am unaware of!). This limits their menu far too much in my opinion and while I like the ambiance and decor of the place, I don't think it will survive in such a high-scale area unless they open up the menu....

Carole Mize

Lunched there today and very disappointed. Slow service, terrible drinks--worst whiskey sour ever tasted. Bean soup had hard bacon pieces and underdone beans accompanied by a cold hoecake. Grilled cheese sandwich with tomato had clotted cheese that squirted out the sandwich. Good lemon dessert. Never again. Terrible food.

Veronique T

Dinner was very good as well as service.

Harry RS

Great selection of items and great service.

Christa Wanchic

AMAZING FOOD! You could not ask for a better place to treat your taste buds! The chef, food, hand crafted cocktails, atmosphere and staff have totally outdone themselves by giving customers food that is straight from the heart and soul. Dishes are unique and gorgeous but at the same time have the complete southern flair that you would expect to find in the heart of the bluegrass. Chef Josh and Chef Quita have now given Lexington another great eatery and we cannot wait to go back

Alexjandro Larry

This is some great country food!

Savannah Rach

Absolutely delicious! I had the Tokyo Fried Chicken, which was pleasantly spicy. My mother-in-law had the Beetloaf, which I tried, and she cleaned her plate. The salmon special made my husband want to cry with joy. The service was wonderful. It was a great experience!

Audrey Bebensee

I'm so very sorry for my previously bad review. My son accidentally pushed it while I was on maps and I didn't notice! Honeywood is fantastic!!

Kimberly Wolenberg

The beetloaf is amazing! Seriously, amazing! The sweet potato beignets were excellent too.

David Richardson

One of the best sit down lunches I've had, in a long time. Will come again, soon. Food hot great service.

Josh Dugan

This place is well worth a visit. Food was excellent! Service was excellent. Atmosphere was amazing as well. Great apps - especially Sweet Potato Beignets and the Tokyo Fried Chicken. The Honeywood Steak was top notch, very filling and had great flavor. Our table of 5 had zero complaints with Pork Chops and Beetloaf receiving high praise. We topped it off with a Chocolate Mousse and Bourbon Buttermilk Chess Pie to share. Our visit could not have been better.

Kim Hay

Shrimp and fish grits is excellent. Service personal and impecable. Possibly Ouita Michael's premier restaurant?

Justin Grimm

Wonderful meal, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.

DeeDee Small

Great food and atmosphere, beautiful restaurant. Best Caesar salad I have ever had. Great addition to Lexington, highly recommend!

Brianna Cottrell

Great comfort food meals made with locally sourced ingredients!

Denise Wilcox

Really amazing place to enjoy local food. Great ambiance and delicious food.

Hilary Miller

I visited the restaurant for lunch last week with four friends. I can’t address anything except the spinach and orange salad, which was a big disappointment to me. For $12, I thought it was really skimpy; the goat cheese morsels were almost invisible and it came with no accompaniment. Carson’s serves a similar salad which is way more lavish in size and ingredients and also comes with a baked roll. Frankly, I left hungry and dissatisfied. I probably would have complained but for the fact that I was with company and didn’t want to sound complainy since it was someone else’s choice of venue.

Madalyn White

Locally sourced food for not a bad price.

Stacy Elliott

Food, service & atmosphere were all excellent!

Eddie Embry

Every time we go there it's a new culinary experience... good for lunch... great for dinner... friendly staff

Kathrine Hix

Some of the best food and atmosphere I've enjoyed. They use local farmers and ky distillers. The prices are very reasonable. They don't advertise it but they're extremely waste free I noticed. Our staff was great. I will definitely be back plenty. Thank you very much!

William Carpenter

I came here with a large group. I chose the Kentuckian Burger and was sadly disappointed. When the burger was served the two hamburgers were not even visible to me. When inspecting the burger my two hamburgers looked like two skinny sausage patties or something adequate to the Mcdonald’s dollar menu. I left the restaurant hungry even after spending 13 dollars for a hamburger. In conclusion, sadly disappointed since the reviews before seemed good. I felt embarrassed to even say anything since I was with a large group.

Thomas E. Jones

Poor service, over cooked food served cold, stale bread. This was one of my favorite restaurants until now.

Mister Lexington

Very nice restaurant. Atmosphere is relaxed. The food although different was enjoyable. One item I didn’t care for and the waitress asked me about it, well apparently my face did the talking and she offered to exchanged it at no charge. The customer service was great. I believe our waitress was Monica. The host was nice as well. The sweet potato beignets were delicious. We also ordered the salmon with cauliflower casserole and steak and fritters along with gelato. Dinner wasn’t as warm as it could have been. We enjoyed ourselves and would visit again.

Todd Stockwell

This restaurant deserves these stars because its menu is different, maybe eclectic, and the ambiance is one of the best in Lexington. The servers care here more than usual, and worked well with an allergy request. No free bread here, but a couple of good options on the appetizer menu

Tyler Kline

My second time here and it’s solidified as a must-go-to restaurant whenever I’m in Lexington. The menu is a celebration of Kentucky farm-fresh ingredients and they appear to source all things locally. The pork chop is out-of-this-world good with local grits and greens. We ordered two specials: the blended burger and an heirloom beet dish. The beet dish was enough food for five people to split (unless you REALLY love beets). My first visit here I got another appetizer that would be suitable for 3-5 people to share, so for the price point you’re getting a lot of really exquisite food. The sweet potato beignets were also excellent, with a welcome bit of subdued flavors. They were savory and mild combined with everything else on the plate, but not in a way that was flavorless or boring. All in all, a beautiful restaurant with beautiful food.

Michael Statham

Amazing food and amazing service!! Such a great atmosphere!

Jaime Combs

Generous servings cooked to perfection! Beautiful presentation-I'll be back!

Colby Hennigan

Food was very good, service and attention by staff was great.

Jake D

Amazing food

Beth Scott

We highly recommend getting several small plates to share! Excellent service, and delicious food.

Daniel Gorash

Surprised it's still around honestly. Doesn't really stand out.

simone mangold

nice menu. great food. Super location and atmosphere

Annette Ellis

Absolutely delicious food and great wait service!!!

paige dooley

Had a burger that was actually a really good burger. It wasn't your typical run of the mill burger, so that was good. Service was prompt but it was a bit pricey so that's a little turn off but if you want to pay $15+ for a burger, have at it because it's worth it.

Stephanie Teichmiiller

We were seated early for our 7:45 pm reservation. The server was prompt but not necessarily friendly or helpful. The drinks were delicious! We made our food selections (again with not much help even though we shared we were visiting from out of town). As we were waiting on our food, my phone rang and it was the restaurant? They asked where I was and if I intended on keeping my reservation? It was 8:05 pm. I told the caller that we were seated and had already ordered dinner? The food arrived. A single ‘rushed’ check-in by our server as soon as it was delivered. The food was ‘ok’ but not particularly flavorful. We had to stop another server to ask for salt and pepper. We ordered dessert (the toffee brownie) that was delicious. I asked for some decaf coffee (by the server who ran our food) and he returned with lukewarm coffee?? We had to stop yet another server and ask for hot coffee? We left feeling ‘under-wowed’ and did not receive the service or flavorful food that normally a $90 dining experience would provide.

Kaushik Mukhopadhyay

It's a good restaurant - my take, it's comfort food. There are plenty of healthy choices. The service and ambiance is great, food is good - I wouldn't say excellent.

Brian Hill

Highly recommend Honeywood. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Try the Shrimp, Fish and grits!!

Jeremiah Allyn

The bacon wrapped chicken with gnocchi was soooo delicious. So was the homemade chicken salad on top of a cornbread cake. Def recommend this place.

エーフィレベッカ

The food and service was amazing but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Ty Raver

Overall had a good experience with good food and service. Prices are reasonable.

Harry griffith

I have eaten at Honeywood twice and found the food outstanding! I had the steak . It was cooked perfectly and would melt in your mouth. The bean soup was the best I've had . My date had the beef loaf which was outstanding. Kudos to chef Josh !

Kimberly Doyle

Decided to try the restaurant in the Summit for lunch. There was no business in there on this particular day but we ordered a salad and one entree and one cocktail and our lunch bill was $50. No wonder businesses are going out of business in the Summitt you can't afford to eat there. Very overrated for the cost

Mo Lykins

Wife liked it , I didnt

Stick k

Nice atmosphere, but was turned off by the waitress with the loop in her nose. Food left a little something else to be desired .....

Suzy

Delicious locally-sourced food in a unique atmosphere. We've visited a few times and the staff is well-trained and professional. Try the french toast and lemon curd cake-yum! We will definitely return soon!

something interesting2thinkabt

Lower than average food. Ordered hand rolled oysters were fishy smelling and over fried. Atmosphere was lovely but food and service didn't match. Overpriced. Ordered shrimp and grits. Shrimp smelled old and sauce wss not delicious. Tasted like rouix. I would not recommend this place. Spend your money elsewhere

Gayle McGrath

Service was very slow, but the restaurant did comp $40 without us saying anything. That's commendable.

Jimmy Hamm

My new favorite place while visiting home. The waitress was super nice and extremely friendly. The prime rib was the best I've ever had. We'll be back and would definitely recommend to everyone!!

william cohen

Honryeood is quite casual but the food is sophisticated. Everything from a burger to a good steak plus a lot of other southern comfort specialities. Add in good desserts and it will be a place that you will return to often.

Eric Hutchens

Excellent service with quite a few gluten free options

Lance Burkhardt

This is a great place to come and unwind with great food and drinks. Alex, the bartender, I think his name was, provided us with a phenomenal experience. Made some wonderful Cocktails even off the menu. Really made sure he went out of his way to give a overall dining experience. Food menu is short and sweet, hopefully they add more. The atmosphere is relaxing and modern, while the food was hot and fresh with great flavors. Definitely recommend coming here and supporting the idea of farm to table food.

Douglas Crutcher

Good meal..good atmosphere..good service..

Pamela Flynn

I had lunch a few weeks ago at Honeywood Restaurant and was completely disappointed. Service as good and our waiter was more than pleasant. The problem was the food!! I ordered a salad with chicken, the chicken was over cooked and tasteless. I made the mistake of not ordering my dressing on the side because it was smothered in dressing. My husband ordered a burger that was partly turkey and it was dried out, the fries were soggy. The bean soup my mother ordered was okay but was very bland, but that is usually the case with bean soup. With many options for dining out I will not be back, there is no three times and you are out with me. I hope the restaurant is successful and can survive, but I think there are some big changes that need to be made.

Allen Gaudinier

SO GOOD! We ate here for Valentine's day and had a great experience. We both got the steak and it was delicious. The service was great as well! Definitely recommend!

Ed Putt Jr

Had a fantastic salmon salad with delicious cold potatoes, capers, Olive and a wonderful dressing. So yummy just what I was looking for.

WAC

We have been twice, the first time when they first opened up and it was bad. So we tried it again a few nights ago thinking maybe they worked out their kinks, but I was wrong. The service was poor and the food was horrible. The soup was too sweet and too much too eat. The fish was salty, the pot roast was chewy and tough, and the bread pudding was burnt. Never again will we dine there.

Sarah Bolen

Really loved the hoecake burger! Juicy and flavorful. Also tried the sweet potato beignets, which were fantastic.

Robert Eschenbach

Just came here to drink while my wife shopped. Great drink selection, service, and price.

Paul Krueger

You cannot go wrong with a Ouita Michel restaurant. This is a modern take on comfort food and it was delicious!!

marcia hurlow

Wonderfully flavorful, original and healthy food. I had the beet loaf and salad. It was comfort food deluxe, and I am not vegetarian! The staff and service were very nice.

Mark Stovall

Exceptional food! Service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The Sunday brunch was delicious.

Marc Wampler

I have been to Honeywood three times and found the atmosphere, service and especially the food excellent each time. Of note, was the strip steak. My favorite cut and cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, juicy and well seasoned - without overwhelming the flavor. We will definitely be back!

Steve Adkins

Food was as good as it gets, and the service also top notch.

Emily Evans

Excellent food, decor, atmosphere, and service! The beetloaf was surprisingly amazing.

Sue Overman

The food and service were excellent. We look forward to returning soon.

Pamela Collins

Absolutely overrated. Should have know when they only a handful of patrons on high traffic Saturday. The staff were not helpful in trying to describe what was unique about the restaurant. We settled on an appetizer which was horrible. Small dry biscuits with salty ham, some Zestine crackers, carrots and pickled onions. Noting exceptional at this place don’t waste your time or money. Will not return to this place again.

Vicki Gatz

We ordered only the daily specials. The appetizer was a delightful cheese plate with crudites, house made pickles, beaten biscuits with shaved country ham and cheese salad. Dinner was veggie plates with green beans (freshly cooked to death) , corn pudding made into muffins and soup beans, complete with bits of meat and potatoes.

Megan Love

I would have given it 5 stars if the waitress was more there when starting out. I would still say 4.5 it's a really nice place not bad on their prices for what they have and really good food. One of the best foods I've ever eaten in fact. I was here to celebrate getting my wedding dress that day and went out with family and a very close friend of mine. Overall great place.

Lyell Goldstone

We started off with the appetizer "Four O'clock." It was just right before our meal arrived. I had pot roast and my friends had Fishing Cottage and Beet Loaf. The Beet Loaf is very interesting and perfect for those on Weight Watchers who want lots of veges. I tasted it and it was pretty good--the size of meat loaf, but made with beets. My pot roast was $13. The staff were friendly and eager to please us. This is my second visit and I will go again. Located in the Summit at Fritz Farm, it's nice to eat and then meander among the cute shops. There is a fire pit and pop cycle shop in one area, that is fun.

Margaret Woods

We had the pleasure of eating at Honeywood Sunday night. We were welcomed and shown to our table. The waiter was right there to help us. The service was great and the food was very good. The prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend Honeywood.

Sema Cornett

I visited the restaurant with a group for my sister’s birthday dinner recently. The steak I ordered was over cooked and the waitress agreed. I had asked for a medium rare and the center was maybe pink in some areas, but looked more like a medium well. She offered to have another steak prepared and I declined, stating I was hungry and did not want to wait. Also I didn’t want to keep everyone waiting because they would be done eating before me. She insisted and I finally agreed. The second steak was brought out by the manager who was also the host that seated us. She was rude and argumentative stating my first steak was actually cooked to their standard of a medium rare! I respectfully disagreed and told her I didn’t even want the second steak... I cut into the steak and it was rare, and I mean inedibly rare! So disappointed with how everything was handled. The waitress was super sweet though and apologized for the way her manager treated me.

Sabrina Lewis

Amazing experience at Honeywood! My husbands and I got the sweet potato and oyster appetizers (both were delicious). As entrees we got the beet loaf and chicken bacon gnocchi. The beet loaf was unique, tasty and fresh. The gnocchi was very good as well! We will return here on many occasions.

Nathan Polston

I saw this place online and was very excited to try but wasn't satisfied. Service was okay but nothing more. The table we sat at had several gnats. Mine and my girlfriends glasses came out dirty. Although the food was very presentable the taste just wasn't there. I actually left hungry because my chicken was all breading and no meat which left me feeling ripped off!! This place has loads of potential but poor performing employees are clearly an issue. Sadly i will not be back.

james young

This place was aesthetically pleasing but the food was not. I rarely write reviews on restaurants, but I had to after the rude host. The only thing I enjoyed was the nice waitress who was amazing and cared for everyone at my table. The only reason there is two stars is because of the waiting staff.

Keith Elam

My family and I was very excited to try Honeywood so we went for father's day and we left disappointed. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich which had no flavor and I had the Chicken dinner which was dry and tough. The rest of the party's meal was about the same. I can say that we had excellent service from front door to waiter. We have dined at all of Quita's restaurant's and we love each one maybe our expectations were to high.

prospermediagroup

The wife took me here on a date. We went to a cocktail mixing session and later dinner. Food was excellent, service as well. Bit pricey, but nice local option.

Beth Joyce

I'd say just under four stars. DRINKS We had three cocktails, tried a total of four: the old fashioned was exactly what it should be, must love bourbon because they don't sweeten like some places do (terrible practice); the grapefruit bourbon drink was amazing; the paw paw cocktail was equally amazing; and then the gin pickle one. Just no. It tasted like perfumed pickle water with little threads in it. My husband thought it was okay, but I took our very engaged server up on her offer to replace it with something else. FOOD Kind of pricey. The steak was good, but a little underseasoned with too much fat/gristle for a $30 plate. The potatoes made me want to cry, they were so good. I had the grouper, which was fine. The potatoes and such were kind of heavy, and frankly, it wasn't worth $25 for the dish. I expected a bigger piece of fish for that. It was pretty, though. My kiddo had soup beans (great, even though I tend to like softer, stew-like beans, and I saw not one bit of cornbread), and fries that were okay. Overall, pretty good, if a little overpriced for what we got.

T Smith

Great food, exceptional service

Nottaway Garage

Wonderful staff, and tremendous food. The Hoe Burger was divine, and the shrimp and grits were delightful. Sampled a piece of catfish as well, and will definitely be back for that as my next meal. They also had Old Pogue bourbon on the shelf which is rare to find.

Jesse Decker

The food was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious, especially the country ham and pork chops. Very simple menu, reasonable prices.

Annalee Scott

Mellow atmosphere and delicious locally sourced food.

Nina Carpenter

Our 1st visit, we truly enjoyed it. Ordered were steaks, burgers, pot roast, and meatloaf. Starters, salads, and sides...all good plus the special dessert the 5 of us shared. Although the steaks were medium not medium-rare as ordered, they were good so both were devoured. We will be back.

Jill Shambhu

Our dining experience was amazing. Great menu, cocktails, service, and atmosphere. Kudos to Chef Josh, he is a master with the fresh local vegetables he uses. Hands down, my current fave place to dine in Lexington.

Brandon Giella

Great food and wine, fun location.

Robert Cala

A very relaxing place, environmentally confortable and friendly.

Justin Kordus

Get the Oscar Performance for your group for dessert

Devin Wren

The service and atmosphere were both great. The bourbon selection was pretty solid and the beer selection was small, but still good with some variety. The food was fantastic. I ordered the beetloaf and blue cheese slaw. I don't often eat vegetarian dishes, but this dish was satiating and easily rivals any meatloaf I have ever had.

Brittney Rader

Had the honeywood burger and it was delicious!

Donald Reynolds

Great place to get a sangria and walk around the summit

Adam Ray

Loved this restaurant! Service was great and I really enjoyed the New York strip. Best thing though was the sweet cornbread skillet cake with ice cream.

Nicole Githire

They change up their menu and that's important. Food has always been great! Great atmosphere!

Macey Hall

I've been for lunch and dinner. It's an excellent location for shopping before or after. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Plus the food is delicious especially for the price. It's a great place for a date or family outing. We celebrated my graduation there and I highly recommend it for any special occasion.

Travis Crawford

I gave this place 3 stars because I feel that is what it is. Average. The food is decent but nothing to exciting. I’ve been a few times and each time I ask myself why people rave over it. I’d you’re in Lexington, I can think of several dozen other restaurants that you should try first. 5-6 of them in the Summit alone.

Isaac Kurs

This is my favorite restaurant at the Summit. Love the Beetloaf. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

TheUltimate Eminence Warrior

Best of the best always a great meal, if the service matched the food this place would be 5 stars.

Jeremy Rideshare

A nice restaurant. Service was normal, and food was normal. Not outstanding but not below par, either. The general area is quite nice.

Matt Daugherty

The service was excellent my dad didn't like his first entree more so due to his fault than theirs but they didn't give him a hard time about getting something else, I got the pork chops and they were very good but don't expect to get filled up on them if you don't get a salad they're thin cut, my dad got a half salad and it was really good and really big. My dad said his cheeseburger was really good. My biggest criticisms were that I paid $7 for a premium draft which to me is too much it shouldn't cost half as much as my meal to have a beer, and the bourbon chess pie dessert, it was literally a chess square that I could have made better at home with no bourbon flavor and almost cold, would never get that again.

jaime reardon

We stopped in for lunch after seeing Chef on a local TV show. The fresh gnocchi was the best gnocchi I've ever eaten. My husband had a steak seared in duck fat. It was also very good. I had the Panna Cotta for dessert and it was heavenly! One of the best meals we have had in a long time.

cindy conley

Delicious farm to table food

Daniel Rose

Loved the food and prices and service

JFA Howard

Visiting from out of town and was recommended to us. We were not disappointed. We chose the pot roast and the grouper and both were delicious. Staff was very friendly. Nice atmosphere.

Chelsea Newman

Friendly. Clean. Quality food

Erin Schwartzberg

My husband and I agreed that this was the heartiest vegetarian meal we've ever had. The meat loaf and carrot croquettes are not to be missed. The servers were conscientious, and the restaurant was comfortable on a cold day.

EA Doerniea

Chose Fried oysters app, which were very nice. The Pot roast entree was just too much use of carrot, and the meat was very, very fatty. Nice service and decor. Menu could use some better offerings.

Alyssa Ryan

I really thought this was going to be amazing, but it just wasn’t, sadly. The wait staff was fine. A little slow, but not rude. Kind but not overly excited to be there. There is no bread or complimentary food to be had while you wait. The wait was rather long once we sat down. The waitress greeted us, left, took drink orders, left, brought drinks, left again even though we were ready to order, and finally came back and took our food order. I felt like we saw her far too often yet she got little done. I’m fine with that though, it could have been much worse! The food finally came and it was really just alright. I ordered the steak. It was cooked how I asked, however it was covered in oils and sauce. It sat atop the crispy potatoes which didn’t stay crispy for long because they were also covered in oil. My entire plate was just soaked with oil which was so off putting. The entire dish lacked seasoning. The bordelaise sauce was bland, the shallots were sour, and there wasn’t a sprinkle of salt on anything, nor were there any salt/pepper/condiments on the table. It just wasn’t impressive over all. Wish we had gone to the pizza place nearby.

Kim McGinnis

Honeywood was wonderful!!! A variety of delicious, fresh options. The staff are wonderful! If you haven't already checked this place out you need to put it on your to do list!!!!!

Chase Ott

Delicious and unique entrees.

My wife and I went on Derby weekend. The food and service were fantastic and the bourbon, beer, and wine selections are excellent. Almost all of the food is locally sourced and the waitress was friendly and attentive. We will be back

The food is good. Very close to my house.

This place is so homey feeling, food your family would make. Excellent fries. And corn cookies from Midway Bakery!

Great atmosphere and delicious food. They make very good cocktails too.

We were part of a group of 4 adults and a toddler. The building is absolutely gorgeous, the service was fantastic. However, we were mostly disappointed with the food. My son ordered the daily special: a chicken that was fried and severely overcooked. My husband ordered the bean soup which was very bland, and his cornbread was actually fried croutons. Desert was stellar, we had the delicious lemon cake pie. Unfortunately the chicken could not be replaced..since they ran out! While one of our guest fully enjoyed her meal, the rest of us left disappointed. We will give this place another try in the future.

The food was good the service was great. This place is a little pricey for what it is and they don't have blue cheese. They have steak in duck lard but no blue cheese!?! Four stars only due to price and missing some basic necessities
