First time eating here. I got the Thursady lunch special which was meatloaf. My 2 sides were mac n cheese and peas. Red sauce on my meatloaf. Sweet tea to drink. Then you get fried biscuits too. OMG all of it was soooooo good. Mac n cheese was thick and cheesy. The meatloaf had good flavor. And those fried biscuits are the bomb dot com. I'll will tell everyone if your in Brandenburg KY go eat at Home Plate.

This was our first time and will be our last. Service was great, our waitress was really nice, but they were under staffed, so once it got busy we couldn't get her attention. Another problem was the food. My Wife got the Roast Beef Dinner they brought her the open faced Roast Beef(a cheaper dinner) which had barely any meat and was even cold. My daughters plate was covered in Gravy making the rest of her meal soggy. I ordered the "daily special" which was the same portion and price had it not been a "special", I assumed it was the 2 piece Country Fried Steak due to the fact the "special" price was the same as the single piece. What is "SPECIAL"????

This restaurant adds another great option to the Brandenburg area. I had the salmon patties and they were delicious; almost as good as my grandmother's recipe. The menu fearures many traditional well known recipes you'd find at a home cooked family dinner.

Local business. Hamburgers, slivers and fries were great. Kids chicken tenders were what was suspected. The toppings on our burgers were super fresh cold lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. Crisp hot fresh bacon. Can't vouch for the other food yet. But what we had was great. Friendly staff clean place. Reasonably priced.

Ordered ribeye sandwiches with mayo along with appetizers and drinks. They charged me extra to put mayo on my sandwich. I have eaten in places all over the world and have never been charged to put a condiment on my sandwich. This was the 4th time we had stopped here for supper. It was our last. That charge cost them our business.

This is the best resturant in Brandenburg. All the food is homeade. Everything is delicious! Our family visits every Sunday! The drink and dessert is included in the buffet price which is very very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. They change up the menu each weekend and they keep fried chicken as a staple in the buffet. The dessert are great to and its always a surprise of what you will get each week! I'm so glad we found this resturant and can make it our home plate each Sunday! The staff and owner is very nice as well! Makes for a very enjoyable Sunday!

All four of us were very disappointed in our breakfast meals. Biscuits were almost burned on the bottoms, gravy tasted like flour, grits needed to have the water salted, eggs tasted like they were fried in old grease, almost no meat in the omelet... Waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

It was not my choice to go here. It was my mother, who is a regular I guess. Options are slim in Brandenburg but this was not bad. That's hardly a raving endorsement either. We had the buffet on Father's Day. They were feeding the masses and unfortunately that carried over into the flavor of a number of dishes. The fried chicken was cold. And, that alone cost them 1 star. The lack of heat source was no doubt the culprit. Apart from health code issues it's a big no no. The fried fish was awesome, but I was lucky to have it fresh. The pasta salad was nothing remarkable but needed more zip and tang. It was room temperature which is very opposite of what it should be. The prime rib was surprisingly tender for being ice cold. The onion rings were chewy and once again cold. On whole 3 stars is fair.

Excellent food, excellent service, reasonably priced. Ate dinner there two nights in a row while traveling for work. Fresh home cooking, good portion sizes. Best salmon patties I have ever eaten. Saturday night buffet is a winner. Breaded pork chops so tender you can cut with a fork, fried chicken, fish, all the veggies you could ask for, cake, pie and ice cream for dessert, drink included $12.95.

I wish I lived closer to this place; the menu is wide enough I'd go every day. Super friendly staff; they've earned their tip each of my 4 visits... prices are also appropriate. I don't care to be the negative review. We got in there at 10:25a.m. and ordered sat there for almost a hour and finally got food when bigger groups came in and got their food before us. Then when we finally got our food it was cold. I will not be returning here. I mean seriously does it take a hour to cook some eggs and bacon?

It wasn't busy yet no one seated us. We took a menu and seated ourselves. The omelet was cool and saturated with grease, and the the vegetables were soggy. The potatoes were also not hot/warm. The kicker was the waitress never apologized and was going to charge for the meal (discounted) even though we did not eat it. She said she would get someone to come verify it was unacceptable?????? Cook walked out, but never came over. We ended up paying for our coffee and left. Too bad because we have gotten good food there before.

The service was great! I wouldn't plan to go here. But if I was in the area and hungry I would. The food wasn't the greatest but it was good probably way better than fast food. The place was very homie and I loved the baseball theme it was played very well!
