We're in town visiting family and they insisted on bringing us here for dinner. It was incredible! I had the 10oz sirloin and the sweet potato casserole and I was in heaven. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sweet potatoes were transcendent. Even the house wedge salad was better than your standard. Oh, and the fried pickles! If you like fried pickles, you should definitely order them here! Plus, our server was delightful and so attentive to us. We had Destiny and she was wonderful!

We had a surprise birthday party at Guthrie's tonight. The room they put us in was perfect. The staff was so accommodating and the two servers who took care of us were awesome. They ran up and down those stairs dozens of times and continued to take great care of all if us. The food was very, very good. It was served quickly and everyone was happy with their meals. I can't say enough good things about this experience. Thank you to the staff and management!! You all showed us true southern hospitality.

We had Mother's Day lunch here, and they did a good job. The staff was friendly they were obviously very busy, but still did a good job overall with services and food quality. I had the fish tacos they were good. Everyone else in our party also said the food was good. A couple of the meals had smaller portion sizes, so I would recommend asking about the portions before ordering. Overall this is probably the high end of restaurants in Somerset.

My friend had her Wedding Reception here. This is a lovely restaurant with efficient staff. The Sweet Tea Refills kept coming. I ordered the Chicken Scallopini with asparagus, baked potato and side salad. Very fresh and tasty. Will return if this way again. A+!

Very greasy on the fish. I had a puddle of grease in my plate. The fish was mushy, almost like it was frozen and then deep fried. Not the best fish in the world. No flavor, very bland.

First time at Guthries. Very excited to try their special Wednesday prime rib special. Well, they ran out. Never told waiting customers. My husband over heard a waiter. When we confirmed it, we asked what the backup special was. Hostess and waitress looked at us like we were crazy. They just said no. So we left. With a little service recovery you could have had a customer for life. Don't think we will ever go back. Don't waste your time.

Absolutely Fantastic!! Food was great, service was outstanding. Employees were very attentive even if it wasn't their table they were checking on you. It's a busy place especially on a Fri night but they were seating people quickly. This was a pleasant experience as we were just visiting KY. This place is Fabulous!! Try it, you won't regret it. They have some of the best food in the state of Kentucky. Killer weekday specials. The wait staff are all friendly and helpful. In the summer they have a patio with a great view of the lake. I love this place.

Overall, food isn't near quality for the price; no value. Enjoyed the pinot ($24 bottle)... that was about it. Sherry sauce on the steak was good but I wondered why a hand crafted steak needed such a tasty sauce -it had no flavor and was way too tough. :/ Service was FANTASTIC, tipped appropriately for service!

First and foremost the food is excellent, I eat here often. I highly suggest a sirloin with blue cheese crumbles and bourbon glaze sauce on the side. Their 8 piece shrimp appetizer is #1 on my list for the appetizer. Can be very busy on Fridays and Saturdays so be patient they do their best.. Also it seems they have a special everyday, i would recommend also the tilapia with their sauce and asparagus with hot rolls and a crab dip for appetizer.

The BEST RESTAURANT that we ever went to, for along time!!! You have Great Service, very polite, Waitresses that Cares for all the Guests. We sat near by the window, with beautiful sceneries above the Lake. We ordered, spinach with cheese and soft chip's, tasty fresh vegetables Salad and dressing sauce, and ordered, 2 teriyaki Salmon, presentation of the foods was just Excellent condition, taste was very, very Awesome. One (1) order of Chicken andCrab, asparagus were just right texture.. The taste perfect and the presentation was just excellent. with rolls and butter, with Sweet Tea, cloth napkins.. Planning to come back with families and friends❤

Every year I have my birthday dinner here and I have always been very happy with the food and the atmosphere, but this year the food just wasn’t as good as the past years. I had to send my bake potato back, it was hard on the inside. My husband ordered his steak with the bourbon sauce, they forgot to grill it with the steak. I am not sure if they were just having a bad day but I will have to rethink about going there again.

This place is AWESOME! This is our go to restaurant when we have company come to visit. It has a spectacular view of the cumberland river. The outdoor searing is very comfortable during the spring and summer months. They have a nice sized bar for those that drink. The staff is always super friendly. The chicken nachos are to die for. I would highly recommend you make a reservation on Friday's. Parking is also very convenient. They have a large enough parking lot to accommodate the crowd.

Our server Caitlyn was wonderful. The food was delicious; everyone in our party of four raved about it. Three of us had steaks, all perfectly seasoned and cooked, one had the Chilean sea bass which was also perfect. They have several homemade salad dressings and the honey mustard was yum. I tried the sweet potato casserole and it was delicious. We shared a key lime pie, which is seasonal, so save room for this little piece of heaven if you see it on the menu! Seriously cannot complain about anything here, even the prices were reasonable, especially for this quality of food.

Wonderful place overlooking Lake Cumberland. Steaks are hand cut. Dessert options are good too. Seafood is great, many choices that are hard to find elsewhere. This is a must go to place when you visit Somerset. Seating on the deck in good weather would be awesome.

The staff is efficient and friendly. Most of my party enjoyed their food, but two of us who ordered burgers were not able to eat them. They were over salted and contained huge amounts of pepper. We also couldnt eat the fries. They were also too salty and were black with pepper. Also very expensive. I will never go back.

They always time everything perfectly, so that you have enough time to enjoy your appetizer, dinner & desert. They don't try to rush you out the door!! Friendly and attentive staff made sure we had timely drink refills and answered every question we may have had. Lighting is very dim and although it was not a full house on our visit, it was quite loud. Apps are large and an excellent value, capable of sharing between 4-5 people in most cases. Entree selection is good and not overwhelming with the typical steak, chicken, pasta, and hamburgers with a few seafood options as well. Small plates are also offered, being in most cases a half portion, in case something lighter is desired or as an excellent alternative to the childrens menu staples. Wait time for food was reasonable, however drinks from the bar took a noticeable amount of time to prepare. The whiskey/bourbon and wine selections are extensive and likely the most comprehensive in the Lake Cumberland area. The standout dish in our group was the catfish with a crunchy but light batter that was not greasy and left me wishing I had ordered it. My vegetables were well seasoned and steamed perfectly but arrived barely warm. The crab cakes were delicious and not full of bread or fillers; some of the best I've enjoyed anywhere. The desert menu is small but diverse and included cheesecake, creme brulee, and a brownie, however I do recommend passing on the layer cake as it was incredibly dry. The seasonal cake by comparison was moist and dense and the portion was a good size. Overall a very nice experience and a welcome change from the franchise steakhouses in town.

Food was good (it generally is), service was terrible (it generally is not this bad). We waited probably fifteen-twenty minutes before someone took our appetizer order. Granted, a waitress had asked when she took our drinks but I indicated we needed a minute (three would have been plenty of time. Around the time our appetizer came and we asked for plates to dish it out (we had spinach dip), a group of six was seated not far from our group of three. It was downhill from there, with multiple waitresses tending to them while our food didn’t even come out until after theirs. To be clear, we ordered our food at the same time we did the appetizer. The plates never did make their way to our table. The ticket indicated the waitress’ name was Alicia, but I can’t actually say who that is because we had someone take our order and later bring the appetizer (and not the plates), and someone else bringing us our entrees and drink refills. We generally tip at least twenty percent and order an appetizer as well as desserts. Due to the poor service, we skipped dessert and cut the tip Very disappointing.

Loved the view. The special was a ribeye and scallops. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The steak was good but I ordered medium rare and it was done closer to medium well. The house salad was good but the French dressing was not very good. Overall I would give it another try.

First time eating here since the reopen. I got the Salmon Salad and my wife got the Mahi Mahi. Both were amazing! The service was great! The inside looks so much better as well! If you have never been here you should definitely come and eat. I plan on coming here again soon! It’s nice to have something different that’s actually great food to eat!

Usually having a peanut allergy at a restaurant creates a lot of problems, but Destiny, my server, took great care of me and let me know what was safe and what wasn't. To the peanut allergy people, they do try their food with peanut oil but all the other non-fried food is so delicious that you won't even care.

Ordered WELL-DONE New York Strip steak. I got RARE. When I was ready to leave, they offered to put it back on the grill. It took nearly 45 minutes AFTER I told/showed them. Before I left, I was offered a small container for it. By that time, I was aggravated....Everyone else was finishing...I had wanted my steak, baked potato, & salad. I got warm salad, good baked potato, raw steak. I have pictures of the steak bleeding in little puddles...

We rented the Private Dinning Room Upstairs with a view to Lake Cumberland and we are so happy we did. The Staff went above and beyond to be there to serve our needs despite it being a very busy Saturday. The food was amazing, and exactly what we ordered. My wife is Vegan and one of the waitress made it her priority to make sure she got a delicious vegan meal for her to share with the rest of us. Their selection of Wine and Champagne was wonderful. The owner was also there to personally make sure we had a beautiful venue with a decorated table. Very open to care for our needs!! All in all, we are thankful to share this beautiful moment in an amazing place. Thank you again!!

This is a very nice place. The warm spinach dip was amazing. Service was really good. However it is an expensive place. We had rib eye steals and root beer, plus the spinach appetizer and our bill was 70$. The steaks weren’t the best. I had to send mine back. I asked for medium well. And the server said with a little bit of pink on the inside. I said that works. The steak that was brought to me was still bloody! The baked potato was kinda hard. The salad was good, however the ranch dressing was a bit stong, almost like vinegar. The actual steak was ok when I got it back. Nice flavor but nothing special. And there was a lot of fat and grisle.

This restaurant has been recommended by many. However as good as the food is, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Destiny left me feeling like I was forgotten. She took my order and brought the bill. I watched Andie. She is a far superior server than Destiny. Andie pays attention to her tables. I usually leave 20% tip over and above the coupons from the hotel. Destiny's forgetting me left me no choice but to leave 15% on the net bill. I am going to bring my wife here and Andie will be our server.
