REVIEWS OF Grind Burger Kitchen IN Kentucky

Grand Admiral Howard

It has a good atmosphere and has great service. However you don't go to a restaurant for service and atmosphere, you go there for food. And this food is no good. They forget half the things in your dish and to be honest, their cheese is disgusting.

We, my fiance and I, walked in to Grind Burger Kitchen and was immediately greeted. and asked if we'd been there before. Since it was out first time, we were helped with how it worked. We shared the cuban and disco fries. The cuban definitely hit the mark and the bread held it all together really nice and the disco fries were different but tasty. I will definitely be back to try the burgers.

Ordered the Seasonal summer burger and broccoli salad , the burger had two thin patties of burger meat. If you like greasy, salty food that tastes good while you eat but makes you feel bad about the content you put in your body later you can understand my 1 star. Also the salad was doused in some hot sald dressing. I have heard a lot of nice things from people about this place. I guess my idea of quality food for top dollar is not the same as what others think as good food.

Jeff Watts-Roy

Went here for the 1st time with a big group of people from Cincinnati and we all loved it and thought it was great!

Erika Neill

Uplifting aesthetic, very Nulu hipster vibe. But most importantly, great food. I loved the ir Disco Fries.

Chris Halcomb

Good burger but a little pricey!

Oliver Urel

GET THE B&B Burger. It was Super fire hella yum yum GOOD. This was a win. A litte on the high side but actually well worth it. I got the B&B burger and Brussels sprouts with grind sauce on the side. A TOTAL WIN. Me and my homie smashed it, left nothing & left happy. I wish all burgers tasted that good.

Mike Mathison

$32 ... Cuban, The Chain, a soft drink and a water. Good food. Love the fries. Great people there. Good time. Once is good for us.

Loved this place! I've never felt the need to write an online review before, but after my visit I HAD to. I have retainers on my teeth, and about an hour after I had my Adult Grilled Cheese, I realized something terrible: my retainers were gone. I immediately told my parents, much to their dismay. The biggest issue was that my family isn't from Louisville, or even Kentucky. We were on a weekend trip from Illinois, just outside of St Louis We came back ASAP, and asked to look through the garbage. One of the employees helped me and my mother dig through the trash bags and find them. Luckily, we did. It was then that we found out that the employee who helped was the General Manager (whose name was either Claire or Clara, though I can't remember). Thanks to her help, I saved $400 and got out fine. Overall, there was GREAT customer service and it's a great place to eat!!

Its fine. Overpriced burgers with great sides. Nothing special to go out of the way for. We don't regret going but won't go twice. Burgers are 13-16 dollars and include fries or brussel sprouts or a couple other options. The fries and brussel sprouts were good. The burger was just fine. Nothing wrong with it but not worth the money.

Chris Vodola

The Chain Burger is on my short list for the best I’ve had in my life. Utter perfection.

Rick Kipley

Really good burger to go with fresh hand cut fries. The fries were nicely salted and hot. The burger was diner style with slightly crunchy edges - just the way I like it. They have a very good bourbon selection, are dog friendly and right across the street from Akasha.

Alex Wesbrooks

Great burgers and pretty cool atmosphere. They offer gluten free options for those who desire/require.

Jon Neace

Always good, hits the spot without being too much

My wife and I found this after arriving in Louisville and doing a quick online search of the area. When we arrived, we were warned by a very friendly worker that after ordering it would take 20-25 minutes to get our food. Being in no hurry, we decided to wait. The burgers were excellent. The ends were smashed a bit, leaving a crispy outer layer. The buns were fresh and excellent to each. The fries are fresh cut, not the best we have ever had, but felt like quality. The ONLY reason for not giving a 5 star review is because of price. It might be that this is a fair price for the area and it is definitely high quality. To get two of the lower priced burgers, fries, and 2 soft drinks (in tiny cups, though refills are free), the total was roughly 33 dollars. It was a good burger and fries for sure, but I feel like I can get equally good at other locations. That said, we would return but if we lived in the area it would have to be for special occasions. Great food, though!

Absolutely love grind. One pf the best burgers in the city of Louisville. If you are visiting make sure you eat here, if you live in Louisville. Make sure you eat here. Fantastic burgers.

Cathy Keibler

If you love burgers, if you love quality beef, if you love innovative melding of flavors, you will love this place. Oh, and also, good beer, good bourbon.

Khayla Anson

this burger is outstanding and i’ve only had the most basic one! i’ve heard wonderful things about the bacon and brie burger as well. they have a kale salad that is to die for (though a little heavy on the onions—i typically just swipe them off to the side. ain’t nobody got time for onion mouth and heartburn). it’s a tiny splurge (in that it’s a $15 burger), but worth it. cute space, sweet staff. all around, a great place for burger week or any other week.

Eric Waddell

Good burgers and sandwiches. Indoor and outdoor seating. Wait staff was helpful and attentive.

K Jackson

Good food, friendly staff, well maintained facility

Philip Oechsli

Two burgers with fries, a soft drink, and a flat beer at a counter service restaurant for $38. Despite the quality of the burger being above average, this place is asking way too much for what it's offering.

Brett Cloer

Very good burgers, fries. Upper end of the price scale, but very good.

Alex Hamilton

The missing star is due to it being a bit more expensive (and smaller portioned) than I'd like, but everything is of the highest quality which is plenty enough to justify it. At this point I've had everything on the menu, and nothing disappoints. Even the beer selection is always expertly curated. My must-have recommendation is the Old Fashioned Burger. It's so flavorful and complex; it remains one of the best burgers I've had in Louisville or anywhere else.

Chris S

The B&B is literally the best burger I've ever had, the only reason they don't get 5 stars is because ordering takes forever. The kitchen is fast but the ordering process is crazy slow. Food is insanely good so it's worth the wait.

E B

Grilled cheese was really good. Wasn't a huge fan of the underlying Indian spices in the veggie burger though. Ranch was great but wish our disco fries were crisper for all the sauce on top.

Greg Baylor

For the price you would expect more. Way to expensive for lunch, need to have lunch special.

Jason Whitish

Love this place. Definitely try the Brussels sprouts and the B&B burger. Both are amazing and I never realized how great Brie can be on a burger.

Tony Adornato

Best burgers in the city. Good meat to bun ratio, and the burgers have a good diner style crust. Get the Brussels sprouts as a good non-traditional side

Michael Blair

Got the Southern Burger. VERY good. Perfectly cooked. Great service, and a nice beer list!! Definitely going back.

Arvindh Radnus

I was visiting Louisville and wanted to try something new and this popped up on my search. Overall a great restaurant to try. The burger, fries and the local beer was great! Will come back next time

Wendy Hunter

Ridiculously over priced hamburgers. Serving sizes very small and not much flavor. Take your $20 per hamburger and go somewhere else. Absolutely nothing special about this place.

Raspute 10

the grind wasamaxin, as always. highly recommend the b&b, but everything on the menu is good. I love this place

Gary Pashinski

The broccoli salad is out of the world. Very different but delicious.

Joseph Matthew

My wife took me to eat here about a week ago and I fell in love. I ordered the B&B burger and it was simply fantastic. It was so good in fact, that I ordered another one to take home with me. The service was awesome as well. Friendly people with smiles and a nice attitude is all I saw from the staff. I would highly recommend trying this place out if you like burgers and sandwiches and you’re in the Louisville are!

Daniel Brockie

Service was fast and friendly. Got a burger and fries. Burger was small. Fries were limp and greasy . Good beer selection. I left a little disappointed as I had heard good things about Grind.

Oscar Peterson

Best burger I've had in a long time. Fries and Brussels sprouts are worth it too I had the Chain burger Everything was so good I forgot condiments.

Julie Harris

So so good! Very popular with lines out the door, but worth the wait!

Gene G

Not really worth the $13 for a sub-par burger, it was over salted and greasy. Service was pretty bad too, wet seats outside when it hadn't rained in hours (meaning they couldn't wipe them down), they brought our food with wrong sides and tried to take back our burgers ( we had waited in line for about 25 minutes and another 25 minutes for the food ) had to tell the server leave our burgers and bring the correct sides. Oh yeah and the burger was not cooked to temp of med rare like we asked instead it was burnt to a crisp and definitely not 1/3 pound. Steak and shake has better burgers.

Robert Schmitt, Jr.

The BnB burger medium rare with brussels as a side is an amazing combo. It is seriously one of the best flavored burgers I have ever had. This is must visit place every time I’m in Louisville.

Hezekiah Chhan

Love the Food and the service. I have been going there for lunch for over 3 years now and I always recommend this place to new friends coming into town. The atmosphere is pretty chilled. I normally get the B&B Burger with their Brussels Sprout. If you don’t know what to get, you can always build your own. So if you’re new to town or just been looking for a great place for lunch then Grind Burger is your spot. It’s a bit pricey though, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying it out.

Logan Clements

Grind is a great restaurant. In my opinion they serve the best burgers in Louisville, not to mention their sides are delicious. Grind serves a rotating tap of craft beer from different microbreweries many of which are local. If your lucky they will have some ginger kombucha on tap. Highly recommended. A must go if you're looking for a tasty burger.

Just Jamesha

Went here for the first time a few weeks back and it was great!!! I have returned twice already.

Justin Dewell

I ordered the Cuban sandwich (as featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives). The bread had a nice crust and the meat was well flavored. The mustard added a nice highlight while the melty cheese held it all together. There was a long line but the staff were cheerful. One guy passed out menus to those in line and answered questions while we waited.

Irene Hafer

Great food. Really... best burger. But for that price (about $15 for a burger & fries) I expect at least polite if not friendly service. You won’t find it here. Been twice and both times the service has been if not rude; dismissive. Nope. Won’t be back

klatoo14

Probably a good thing I dont live around this place because I would be here all the time. Everything was fantastic..even the GF bun was wonderful. It's pricey, but I didnt get a gluten reaction, so it's worth it.

Jim Carroll

Best burger and sides ever. And I'm serious! For reals 100%

Scott Cox

Fast casual restaurant for burgers. They also have sandwiches and salads, with a handful of beers on tap. Fries were delicious! More on the expensive side with prices for burgers starting around $14, but worth the cost. Burgers are also "smash burgers". Easy restaurant for a quick drink or meal

Maredith Goodin

Not gonna lie, I was disappointed by the trip here. It wasn’t worth the drive out to the east end. First, we stood in line for around 40 minutes while all the staff (cooks, waiters, cashier taking orders) remained supremely unhurried. The thought crossed my mind that maybe they had run out of ingredients and they were purposely stalling. Not really sure what the case was. Once we actually did get to place our order, the food was brought to our table within a few minutes. The burgers were good but really nothing special. At other places, I can get a burger that is just as flavorful, costs half the price, and is ordered and ready in a fraction of the time. I really am not understanding the hype around Grind and why there were so many people waiting in line. I probably won’t be one of them again.

Joseph Browning

I had the B & B burger, a custom blended 1/3lb burger topped with bacon, brie cheese and habanero jam that left a pleasant aftertaste. The burger itself is cooked to your choice with a nice outer crust and juicy inside. My only complaint would be the portion of fries given. The establishment itself was clean and minimalistic.

sanjay garg

Awesome food, awesome atmosphere (inside AND outside), ample parking by this place. Did i mention awesome food?

Alan Sharpe

I was in town visiting family and they insisted I had to try this place. Awful downtown parking aside, it was pretty good. The B&B was highly recommended, so I tried it. The menu says you can't make any changes to the burger like adding cheeses or tomato or anything, and while I understand they are proud of it and they want you to experience it as they intended it, it still kind of irked me. However, it was a good burger, and the habanero jam was both sweet and spicy which was both weird and awesome. I also enjoyed the disco fries, and I recommend both the B&B and the fries for anyone trying out Grind Burger Kitchen for the first time.

Abby Fischbach

Nice staff but average food and cold fries. A little expensive for what it is.

Zen Zem

I loved it. I had the old fashioned burger (composed of freshly ground beef goat cheese and thick bacon all on a bun) and a side grilled and well seasoned brustle sprouts. Serveice was relatively fast and simple.

Anna Gail Welch

I absolutely loved this restaurant! As someone who eats their daily life gluten and diary free, I always get nervous eating in public due to dietary restrictions. Their Veggie burger with a gluten free bun was so delicious; the breading didn’t fall apart (appeared to be made in house - it looked like a biscuit), and the veggie patty itself stayed intact (big deal - shows the care with quality). TJ greeted my Dad and I as soon as we walked in the room and immediately asked about food allergies or concerns. He checked up on us twice throughout our meal, and he made sure we were taken care of all the way down to pushing my Dad out of his comfort zone to try a local Lexington craft beer.

Kim Bates

The whiskey sour was made to perfection. The burger was very good. Quick service and nice people. However I wasn't a fan of the kale salad and the restaurant was very hard to find at night.

Spr1ng B

Most expensive tomato I've ever been served while listening to heavy metal music. Never again, live and learn. BLT had LESS than 2 pieces of bacon, dry without mayo or sauce. Fries were presented cold. Broccoli salad was just uncut broccoli with vinegar. I appreciate the grass fed option, but not for your price. Very disappointing dining experience. I was so unhappy just have to show the pic of lettuce tomato sandwich

Johnny Mc Nubs

The food was good, the staff was friendly, the building was interesting to look at. Its a neat place to go. I would possibly go again under the right circumstances. I have a difficult time paying $15 for a burger. Again, it was good. There was nothing wrong with the food. It was a bit too pricey for my taste given the amount received.

Tyler Horton

Underwhelming. Got the b&b burger. On this burger there are no substitutions or add ons because it's so good we should just take their word for it or so it says in the menu. It was a bacon cheeseburger with what tasted like Walmart brand pepper jelly. The disco fries were okay, I guess. Overall it's just okay, Sidebar makes a much better burger.

Emily Burke

For best food prices, come during happy hour, 2-5. Claire and her team took good care of me. The burger was delicious. I tried the brussel sprouts but not my thing, so I got some fries which were seasoned well.

Darren Byler

Absolutely fantastic food and fun atmosphere!

Damon Legault

Love this place. Every time we come to Louisville my wife and I grab a burger there. Love the fries and the burgers are so fresh they moo.

Robert McIntosh

Not impressed, way over priced and no service, you do everything and good luck if you need something, like water or dressings for your very small and dryed out meal. I don’t get it, they have a very small menu and they can’t get that right. So disappointed

Genevieve Ford

Phenomenal burgers. the kale salad was excellent as well as the fries. We got the southern and the old fashion burgers. Great quality and unique ingredients. Will definitely be coming back here!

Ccb Billups

Great food..... made fresh... nice atmosphere to enjoy a nice

Nikolas Beatty

Amazing and helpful service. Great food. Great beer.

Jeff Brown

Loved the Veggie burger, kale side salad and my beer. You order at the counter and then your food is delivered to your table. There can be quite a wait for food but it’s worth it if you have the time (20-25 minutes if there’s a crowd).

Diane Lippelt-Dunnings

The food was delicious, but pricy. The atmosphere was casual & comfortable. The service was good. Would go back.

Rachel Keens

As someone who has worked in a restaurant in the past, I hate to go into places shortly before they are closing. However, we were starving and needed to eat. When we walked in I asked if they were still taking orders, to which was the most happy response of "of course, the kitchen is open until 10!" from a delightful man behind the bar. The food was delicious- as always- and thanks to the staff, I ate guilt-free!
