The best authentic Mexican cuisine in Lexington, hands down. Great food, perfect salsa, great margaritas. I would personally suggest the barbacoa tacos. Please do yourself a favor and eat at Rancho Tapatio!

The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. My girlfriend and I went here for lunch. We were surprised at how busy they were. When we ate the chips and salsa we found out why, the food is really good. My girlfriend got an empanada and I got a torta. Both were dishes were very tasty. I saw a sign on the door that said they have Mariachi bands on Friday night. We will be going there on a Friday soon. We will most definitely be returning here.

The food and atmosphere are absolutley fantastic, 100 percent my favorite mexican restaurant in Lexington. We went on a night that they had a very good mariachi band playing, I personally had the chimichanga and cannot recommend it enough. If you are looking for a Mexican place to eat in Lexington, you have absolutely found it.

Oh. My. God. It's no wonder this place got such a low rating from the health department. I got so SICK within 30 minutes of eating here! The food was very oily, not at all very authentic, and the wait (mysteriously) was waaaaay too long! A lot of people eat here-but, they shouldn't: it's awful.

This place is delicious, though not as good as places I've tried in other cities. They have basic popular style Mexican food that is very tasty, great homemade tortilla chips, and delicious margaritas. If you like spice, be sure to ask for the hot sauce! On Fridays they have a Mariachi band that plays and is a ton of fun, going around to tables to entertain everyone in the (very large) restaurant space.

It wasn't crowded and the service was slow and it took a long time for the to come get our drinks and order. Had one server come and then go on break after taking our drinks. But we came for the food!!! The food is awesome and great! My wife had just graduated college that day and because of the food we took our family there. Service can always be fixed, but the food doesn't need anything. It's good!

What great place! Atmosphere is wonderful, lay out is perfect... If you enjoy live music you can watch up it up close a personal. If it is much for your ears and you want to enjoy a conversation with family or friends then you can sit on the other side of the restaurant. Food and service is phenomenal!

Normally this is a great place to eat. But not today unfortunately. All I did was order a carry out for my wife on Mother’s Day. Pick up took way longer than usual. When I got my order , the Torta was cold and not very good. The chips were only 1/4 a bag seemed the whole order was put together In hurry. Hopefully this was a one time thing.

This place is very popular, but I don't get why. I ordered enchiladas Verdes...the chicken was dry and woody and the sauce had no tang. The rice and beans were nothing special--this place does not serve authentic Mexican food, though I used to live in Mexico and am probably picky. Pleasant service, nice atmosphere and fair prices. I wouldn't go back, but I'm clearly in the minority.

Stay away from this place if you have children under 3. Staff was so rude about asking to be sat in a different location that we just left altogether. Could have the best food in the world and I would Still NEVER come here based on customer service alone!!! Worst place I’ve ever been, no customer service, staff with attitude problems.

Always let down by this place. I go because a few friends like it. The staff is friendly but often takes a while. The food is my biggest dislike here. The quesadilla is always big but has no meat in it. I always leave hungry. Not the best but serviceable.

1st food is good however we never had a waitress. We were seated they brought the chips and salsa and water but there it ended. I had to flag down someone to take our order so we did get food but no one ever came back to our table I flagged down someone else for a carry out box and ended up going to the cashier for her to figure up a bill. Certainly not your restaurant if you want service of any kind.

We have enjoyed dining in before, though it was a couple years ago. We got our meals to go this time and the food was cold. Cheese wasn’t melted. Beans tasted like rancid fat or bleach or dirty dishwater or something. Taco Bell would have been more enjoyable.

This place is huge, which is why I’m guessing there was no wait despite a lack of parking. It was a busy Wednesday night. The host and waiter were friendly, but the food was only so-so. As the waiter took our order, we asked if they usually bring out chips and salsa, and he said yes. He was going to bring some spicy salsa we asked for, but we didn’t get that until the 1st round of salsa ran out and we asked again. A waitress then dropped off 3 different spicy salsas in squirt tubes. The chips are regular yellow corn chips and the salsa was average. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole and substituted one of them for cheese. The mole was good and the chicken was cooked nicely, but it seemed like that was all there was to it - plain shredded chicken in a tortilla topped with mole. The cheese in the other enchilada wasn’t melted much. You could still see the shreds. I visited here based on the high ratings and the recommendation of a friend, but I have to say it was average at best. I won’t be going back.

We have another place that's our "local taqueria", but this place could give it a run for it's money. I had enchiladas and tamales, both were quite good. The enchilada sauce was quite tangy and tomatoy. We were there at the height of the dinner rush and the service was attentive and quite satisfactory. This is a "good food, good price" kind of place.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington! It has great portions and delicious food. There are food vegetarian options (I love the chile rellanos). Servers are friendly. The place is always crowded, so I suggest going on a weeknight. The free chips and salsa are really tasty, and I love their queso. I highly recommend! Make sure to tell your server if you have allergies, though. The vegetarian burrito doesn’t have avocado listed as an ingredient, and someone in our group got sick because they were allergic to it.

Original Zomato Review 6/8/16 - I cannot believe I've missed writing a review for this Mexican restaurant. It is probably one of my favorites in town. The salsa and chips are good - the cilantro and garlic are very prevalent in the mix. I like food - it's always good no matter what you order. The only reason I didn't give them a higher rating is because of their sweet tea (it's fountain syrup and not brewed).
