REVIEWS OF EiDERDOWN IN Kentucky

James Thomson

At my wife's request, we ate there twice on our trip. It was good German food. My vote is on the chicken schnitzel and spatzle. It has a nice warm industrial kind of vibe... lots of exposed brick and such. They have good drink selections, too.

Craig A Padgett

Excellent food and service. Very good portion size for the orice

Teri Freel

Great service. Nice draft beer selection.

Terry Baker

Authentic, tasty food in a wonderful old building. Low volume, classical music in the background (what a welcomed change from too many bar/restaurants). Nice beer selection. Eiderdown is surrounded by old shotgun houses and definitely worth a visit.

Larry Snyder

Very good meal, great prices on bourbon and the roast chicken was very good, as was the hamburger

Linsey Schafer

Lovely spot in Germantown. We went for lunch, so the menu was limited, however the food items were delicious. There were several good craft beers on offer in this small space with a really nice vibe.

Amy George

Garden spaetzle and the Rouladen were amazing! So full of flavor and generous portions made this well worth the visit. Can't wait to go again!

sgraas90

Great vibe with excellent food. Get a beer and the currywurst fries. Trust me on this.

Paul Dyar

Enjoyed immensely. Food was excellent. Beer good as well

Bianca P

Awesome, upscale German food in a cool, casual environment.

Dawn Mathis

Second time to Eiderdown. Nice atmosphere, warm. Love the wood block tables. Beer flavor in just about everything including salad dressing. Not sure about that, but if you like beer. Potato soup is AH-mazing! Spaetzle is tender. I would eat the soup anytime, ooooooo ooooooo put the spaetzle in the soup. Yum! Price example... Lunch menu tab for 3 meals and one coke plus large bowl of potato soup, $43

Marcus Boyd

What is rouladen, you ask? The best damn thing on the menu! Mussels were so great and came with a thick cream sauce.

Tom Duffy

Always high quality food. My brat was cooked perfectly and the kraut was awesome.

Joseph Schafer

Super relaxed vibe. Our waiter was great and treated us like his friends which I honestly preferred. Pretzel bun was a good choice for my burger. Also ask about the grapefruit beer they have! Its sweet (and mixed with grapefruit soda) but a really interesting flavor.

Kate Zecher

Really cool atmosphere. Great food. Wide drink selection

Ethan Harsh

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was wonderful. Staff was fast and kind. Wait was short. One of my favorite restaurants in Louisville.

Danielle Kinder

Hits the spot for some good German schnitzel and a cold brew! Plus the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Sometimes they have live bands after hours too!

Elisabeth Sandoval

Great food. Love the feastballs

SML SMCS bnk01

I could have overlooked the disappointing food and ho-hum service if the waiter had not added a 20% tip to my portion of the bill WITHOUT my knowledge. This slyly assessed "tip" was for drawing three beers only, but it apparently was a great burden on his time and energy. You may have a better experience than I did if you eat there, but you better beware of their "tip" policies.

Lynn Elliott-Reed

Pretzel and beer cheese were good. However, had to get new fries because they were ice cold and hard. Second batch was good and hot. Pork sandwich was mediocre at best. Very salty.

Jacob Pawlak

Great beer cheese, I always enjoy the pork sandwich too. Awesome beers and wines!

emile humbert

Very nice place. Great atmosphere. Really have done a great job with the outside seating. Nice parking lot in back. Great food. Will def be returning!

Coby Johnson

Awesome place, great food and great beer

Christian Goodyear

Cant go wrong here. I was never a fan of sauerkraut on things until i came here. And the sides are phenomenal. Will return

Spencer Schumacher

Small food menu but everything is fantastic. Great German food and bar food. Amazing beer selection, plus they have Ale 8 on tap!

Jereme Rose

What a great place to dine. The service was excellent and the food was even better. The pork belly stuffed pork loin and the pretzel stuffing were the shiznit!

William Lally

Great German food nice employees

Ryan Ransdell

Very good food !!! Some very interesting German selections that are soooo delicious. Make sure to try their Poutine and the duck fat popcorn; it's an interesting taste while not overpowering. The beer selection was well picked.

John Ronayne

Just amazing food and BEER too! Go to here!

Brian Eberle

This could very well be the best meal I've had in years...

Rob Lawniczak

Great food, great atmosphere, great service!

Mike Kimbro

Great food, but the beer was all too warm for my primative tastes. Maybe it was the raisins which made the red cabbage the perfect side for my sandwich of pastrami & fried chicken.

Nick Hellmich

Great food, great atmosphere.

Michelle Odigie

I tried the burger with a pretzel bun and it was the best burger I have ever had. The staff is very nice and tries to keep us happy. I am so happy my family stopped here.

Shawn Parks

A quality boutique style bar and restaurant. The prices were not overly high for a place of this kind, but you can expect to pay a small premium and experience a morr specialized menu than you would at a corporate or family style restaurant. The food, drinks, staff, and ambience were all pleasant, and if this is the price point I was looking for, I would not be hesitant to return.

denise tayon

Roasted chicken and Roluaden pork were exceptional. We returned the next night and had beat and schnitzel. Again very good. The German beer selection is great. Staff very knowledgable and helpful on the selections.

Tori Daniels

Had a delicious dinner here! Service was great, and the variety of food options was awesome. We got everything from a vegan entree to meat and cheese meals and appetizers. Drink selection was on point too, and the beer we chose hit the spot! 10/10 we will definitely be back. Tip: if you are vegan and want a salad as your meal or appetizer just bring your own dressing because their wedge salad is vegan without the ranch dressing their offer.

Shawn Vega Velez

Excellent location. Great beer selection and the Rouladen was delicious. I also ordered the braised greens which was a smart move. I will definitely return to get the rest of the menu.

Dawn roberts

Excellent meal. Everyone in my party was satisfied. The chicken schnitzel was delicious as well as red cabbage. Would highly recommend!

Tim Kremer

Nice Gem

Chas Kuhn

It was a pleasant meal and certainly similar to german food.

Derrick Drake

go for the pork belly...stay for the bread pudding...this dessert has changed my life. I know have unhealthy thoughts about it...

Mark Fuhrman

Overall a very nice and cool place to eat. Food was very flavorful, kind of an Americanized take on German food. The spatzle dinner was excellent, as well as the Fest Balls. Service was ok, definitely a place that we would return to.

Anthony Maiorana

This is one of the better restaurants in Germantown and it even serves German food! They have some amazing items and somehow I always spend at least 50 dollars here for two people. I always keep going back though. Sometimes I feel like the food is a bit heavy on the salt though. If you get the beer cheese definitely get the pretzel.

Lynn Hamilton

Killed and ate the rabbit! Spatzel melts in your mouth as does the pastrami. On my plate, they served the whole turnip, greens and roots. Pumpkin bread pudding was delicious. Many beer varietals, if you're into beer. I know Eiderdown took some time to decide what they were, but they've settled into a fine, authentic German restaurant with vegan and vegetarian options. We really need this business, y'all. They were here before the Post and Sarinos. Support local business!

Sam Phillips

Nice German restaurant. I got the pork rouladin. It was exceptional. Others got the spatzel and some appetizers which were tasty. The vegan loaf was only ok, which kept me from giving it five stars

Wretched One

This was the second time we came here. My fiancée and I are sensitive to dairy. And we mentioned it because we were trying to find an appetizer with little dairy. The waitress from then on went out of her way to make sure my fiancée didn’t get any dairy. She put the sauce of the burger on the side, then found out that it had dairy, and brought another kind of aioli that was dairy free! Great place, great food.

Ben Keeton

Love the food! Typical German fair with a modern touch. The beer cheese is the best in town and matches nicely with one of the many great German beers on tap.

Brandon C

Loved it. Building felt like it had history. Decor was rustic, but very nice. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Definitely going again.

Stephanie Warren

This is my favorite German restaurant of all times. The service is always great, and the food is excellent! I'd recommend locals and visitors to come here. Anything on their menu is good. I'd recommend getting the pierogi for appetizers. All of their plates come with a good amount of sides. The flavoring of the food is truly unique and not too salty as other German restaurants I've tried.

John Jezl

Eiderdown has a warm comforting atmosphere. They serve excellent food and provide friendly service. They have housemade sausages that are excellent, and one that varies at the whim of the chef. The only disappointment was that some of the most interesting food and drink options were out, despite a relatively early reservation. No rouladen, no pretzels, no pierogis. Overall though we had a great time and a great meal.

Amanda Ayala

So excited to find. A German restaurant when we visited Louisville. The food was great o was a little disappointed that their potato salad was not traditional German potato salad but had a great meal regardless. A definite must visit of you are in the area.

Kristopher Carter

Fantastic inexpensive food, beers, and great service.

Chris Cook

A liter of märzen, reuben loaded with kraut, and spätzle; So good!

Chris Case

Great German-influenced food. Rich, filling, and very tasty. And, of course, giant beers to cleanse the palate.

Ashlyn Cox

Cheesy spaetzle is the way to go! My bachelorette party came here for dinner on a Friday night and were concerned about being the only patrons around 630 p.m. however as we sat there it very quickly became busy with a line waiting out the door.

Paul EKU

Always great. Small menu but great food and great beer.

Michael Redman

Looks more expensive than it is. Awesome indoor and outdoor seating. Solid across the board.

Treva Gaw

Love the food!! The service was amazing! Will definitely go back

Emily Clement

Yummy food. Huge portions. Great service. Clean restrooms!

Shari Zeitz

Food was good and hot when served

joseph shulda

Good food, kinda trendy tho. Small portions.

Dee DeWitt

Logan the bartender was great along with the food. (Stroganoff special) Will go back.

Robert Joles

Great food and a great atmosphere.

George Estes

The food was amazingly great. The sad this is I had an wonderful appetizer so I couldn't finish my meal, but it is well worth taking home. Beer choices are what you expect from a German restaurant. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Oh and the desert is excellent too

Garrett Smith

We really enjoyed our experience! Our server was knowledgable and nice. The garden schnitzel with sausage was excellent. I liked the old-world type decor, old thick tables, wood floors.

Matthew G

Really like the space, hopefully the German town area it's in will grow with it. I like how it's German based food with out looking like a Disney exhibit, no kitch. Our service was excellent. He was knowledgeable and professional. Good mix of local and some German classics. The perogies were solid (though they were kind of small and only 3 in the order for $7). The fest balls were great and plentiful though our batch didn't seem to have any kraut in them. Still delicious with the horseradish sauce. Our 4 top all ordered the schnitzel and couldn't have been happier. It was moist and tender on the inside and perfectly crispy outside. Spätzla was amazing as well....as was the potato soup. By all accounts the other sides were great as well. All together I couldn't recommend Eiderdown enough. It's a fantastic value for the price point. I can't wait to go back.

John Clemens

Simple sit down with good food and a solid draft selection. Casual.

Mike Cozzolino

Amazing food amazing atmosphere.

Lisa Floore

Great food & atmosphere. I will definitely go back!!

Cliff Hunt

Nice neighborhood German restaurant. Great people. Food was good(perhaps too salty forr traditional German). Prices reasonable. Great beer selection. Limited menu, but what they do, they do well.

Corey H

I went here for lunch and the food was pretty good. I was disappointed with the service though. I called ahead to ask if they had entrees on their lunch menu and no one answered, I called twice. Come to find out they don’t have entrees on the lunch menu, just sandwich, burgers and sausages. Also our waiter wasnt very good. We waited a long time for him to seat us and then he rarely checked on us and acted like he didn’t care when he did come to our table. The food was pretty good and maybe down the road I might give this place another chance, hopefully the service will be better.

Lea Lakes

Best pretzel I have ever had

Sam Vasquez

Staff was very friendly and the place looked incredibly well taken care of. The food though, despite there being an appealing section, was average and not worth the time when germantown has so many other choices to choose from.

David Brenneman

Excellent German food and very good beer selection. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy parking with a private lot around back.

Rachael Gomia

Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere

Lance Upton

Awesome food, beer, and service

Chris Knaffle

Excellent authentic German food. Definitely a hipster hangout. Lots of beers on tap. Nice place, but very simple with no decorations or theme at all. Bets very loud just from being one big open room with no sound dampening materials.

Cecile Sands

Great German food! Best beer cheese I've ever had!!

Mike Barbieri

Tasty food and a welcoming environment. Great service.

Mary Slinger-Carreer

Very good food and even better service

Marla Smith

We went here to celebrate a special occasion and our experience started out good. We had a small problem with our food, but it seemed like we had it all worked out. WRONG! We sent it back and our server was upset but tried not to show it. ( only one dish was wrong) The chicken was amazing! So I paid with my card and left a cash tip and made sure to zero out my receipt where the tip should be added. When I checked my bank account a day later the server helped her self to an extra tip. I guess because we like our food done!! Or maybe we just are not the right fit for that establishment? I called the manager and left a message and of course I have not heard from anyone.

Jacey Calloway

THIS IS THE BEST FOOD. It has been in a weekly rotation for me! Best food happy hour as well! The food is so great, I have invited so many friends here! Where do I start? The potato soup is a must. But it us sometimes hard to decide between this and the daily soup. The fest balls! These are on happy hour and a must. As well as the beer cheese and fries. The schnitzel is THE BEST. And then they have a great bar program. With daily specials and knowledgeable bartenders. Anytime someone from out of town and where to go, this is the place I ALWAYS recommend.

Wesley Ault

This place is amazing! First stop on our trip to Louisville and we were very surprised! Amazing food all around, the shaptzle is an absolute must and the shnizle was also great. Completely fresh. Wonderful cocktails made by someone who knows what he's doing.

Jonathan Gluff

Great food, great beers, and a cozy atmosphere. It might not be best suited to large groups, but our table of seven had great service, and the food was amazing. My chicken schnitzel with a fried egg, butter spätzel, and potato soup was incredible, and everyone else in our party was very pleased as well. We'll definitely come back here any time we're in town

Pat Huckendubler

Nice local place serving craft beers and German fare.

Jessica O

The food was fantastic and the portions were huge. Our server was a bit flakey, kept disappearing and checking his phone and wandering around but didn't ever ask if we needed anything. Had to flag him down to order food as he never came back when we ordered an appetizer "to start". When it came he didn't even come to check, so eventually we had to grab him and ask if we could order dinner. I felt it was obvious we were getting dinner from that statement alone, and we only had water to drink. We noticed his only other table had to get up to order their beers. All the other tables seemed to be getting great service though, so I feel like he was the exception.

Joe Travieso

The food was well priced. Everything was delicious. The drink specials were good and service was on point.

Mike Meikle

Excellent food and beer. Attentive service and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Mark Day

Amazing vegan loaf! Service was great! Drinks were great!

James Sidell

Fantastic local German restaurant with friendly servers, cozy atmosphere, and excellent German/Southern comfort food. I highly recommend the beer cheese and fries for a salty/cheesy/savory app, and I usually get the Spatzle. They regularly update the menu with new items so none of the menu items seem stale, and they have a large selection of beers.

Anna T

Really enjoyed dinner here this past Saturday. We came around 7pm and there was no wait for two. We had the spaetzel and kraut balls as an appetizer, and the special chili dog and the vegan stuffed cabbage for our mains. The spaetzel balls were out of this world fantastic. Our mains were both really good but came out a little on the cold side; not bad enough to detract a star though! I was super impressed with how authentic the stuffed cabbage tasted too, just like my mom's growing up (Polish recipe, not German, but apparently all the same). And the bread pudding dessert was so delicious, shout out to our waitress for insisting we try it! This is definitely a gem of a place, not to be missed during your time in Louisville! There were several other things I wanted to try too so plenty of choices for return visits!

Jason Fackler

So my daughter had to go to Utah to fix a plane for Uncle Sam and we wanted to take her someplace none of us had been. What a treat! It seems like a hole in the wall and it is a bit quaint, but inside the rustic pub is some great food and friendly service. After a delicious currywurst appetizer, daughter got the pork sandwich on a pretzel bun, wife got the brat, and I ordered the schnitzel. We all tried each other's dishes and all of us wished we had more room in our bellies and more disposable cash. Definitely deserves a second trip!

Amy Simpson

Great food and atmosphere! Service is always amazing! A must in Louisville!

Nolan Dwyer

Everything tasted amazing! A European menu with distinctive American influences. I will continue to patronage as i love the food

Susan Wettle

The food and the service is always spectacular.

Amber Alice

This place was wonderful. We visited Louisville for a concert and found this place on google maps. Great food, cool atmosphere, and good service. I didn’t like what I ordered initially- it was just a bit too spicy for me- and the staff was awesomely accommodating and let me order something else and took the initial entree off the bill. If you’re in Germantown I highly recommend eiderdown.

Darrell Yonts

Really good food and beer selection.

Magen Spencer

Great salad.

Max Park

Friendly staff, rustic atmosphere and good German dishes. Nothing disappointed. Loved the Brat sausage.

aaron key

Great German style pub food with great drink selections and average prices for the area, yes it was honestly some of the best I've had in the Germantown area, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you have the pleasure of having Rach as your server, count yourself lucky :)

chris welnetz

Food and service were great.

dick booher

The service was very nice. The food, my wife and I felt, was below standard. The servings were small for the price. As spending several years in Germany and eating at several German restaurants we were no pleased.

Rocky Plotts

Great menu and service.

Lylah Panda

It was CRAZY good!!!! The bread pudding was Devine.

Sam Burgess

Great menu, fun vibes, would go back

Theresa Roots

This place has amazing food and has such a cute outdoor seating area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beer choices are wonderful, had the garden spartlzer with a slice of pork belly, phenomenal! Seen alot of families while i was here so definitely a family friendly setting. Pricing completely reasonable. I will be back with friends❤

Dylan Glenn

The food here is amazing, especially the goose fat popcorn which is something I can't leave without. Beer selection is good, too. Menu is a selection of German comfort food with a few vegan options and some KY-style fare like fried chicken. The authentic stuff is the main draw but the vegan parm sandwich was also good when I tried it. In addition to food, Eiderdown hosts local music shows from time to time, usually announced on their Facebook. They're a lot of fun, cheap, they have a small food menu, and the restaurant makes a surprisingly good venue. Service is excellent and parking is usually readily available, either in the lot or with the block on the street. If you're looking for a bar after you finish up, Nach is a great companion bar and is just up the street!

Andy Robinette

Nice atmosphere. Unique menu. Worth the visit.

Sandy

Good food and friendly staff.

Stewart Thomas

Their new, lower price points and high quality food are a great combination. Two of us ate 2 apps, 2 entrees, and consumed 3 alcoholic beverages for $60 something including tip. We are the leftovers for two other meals. Amazing portion size and superb recipes. Great for a date or with kids.

Clayton Sparks

This food is amazing. I really couldn’t express how delicious everything was and how the staff are super helpful. They have a large drink menu also. If you are undecided about where to eat and looking through what all is available this should be your destination. You will not regret it.

Philip Slusher

Awesome food, good beer, fair prices

Mary Greenwald

Loved the place! Service, Beer & Food was Excellent! We both had schnitzel I had the vegetable one which was a special and my friend had the carbonara one and we were suggested a lighter German beer and it was to die for! Wish they were closer we were just passing through! Will be sure to stop again if in the area!

Lori Hoff

Wonderful atmosphere ang the food is great.

Keri DeLost

Delicious vegetarian spatzle.

Michael R

Where to start. Enormous selection of (generally German-specific) cold draft beer. Authentic German inspired cuisine. Courteous and smiling service. My wife and I tried the currywurst appetizer and absolutely LOVED it. Just enough curry, with moist sausage and perfectly fried potatoes. I enjoyed these schnitzel with mushroom sauce and my wife enjoyed the spaetzle. Highly recommend the spaetzle meal. My favorite restaurant in Louisville, and it just so happens to be ridiculously low priced for the quality!

Dan Gunter

Great German food and beer selection, excellent friendly helpful staff. Fast service. Would enthusiastically go again.

MJ Bruce

Great food and service.

Matheus DaSilva

Great food, good beer selection. First time I went was as a backup to a first date, I'm still with her and we come back to this place every so often just to have their beer cheese(It is a must try, best we've had in the Louisville area).

Adam Bollmeyer

We were in town for a weekend and ate here one night, while meeting up with friends. Courteous staff and decent atmosphere. Nice selection of German beers and good food. Worth the price. I'd eat here again.

Dave Linnean

Overall a nice German restaurant. Cheesy schnitzel was good. Pretzel and beer cheese was the best!

T. J. Hart

Had the cheesy spaetzle, and it was amazing. Added a sausage to it, and it’s something I could eat daily

Tyler Ervin

Schnitzel and Pastrami Sandwich? Order two. It's not that one isn't enough. You will just want another.

Justin Shircliff

Excellent place to get some German fare. Decent selection, but not overwhelming. The meats and sauces are prepared in-house. The spicy brat was delicious, and the rueben was probably the best I’ve ever had. The potato salad was good as well as the beer cheese pretzel. Check this place out if you get a chance.

Nicole M.

Good atmosphere, and drink choices. The food however wasn't what I was expecting after having read the reviews. I had the fest balls and a burger. The kraut balls just tasted like bland hush puppies and the burger could have been made just as well at home.

W P

Love the food. Love the ambiance. Love the service. All around wonderful

Chelley McMahon

Great place to come after a long busy day when the world has just taken it all out of you. Free on street parking is usually fairly easy to find if the small lot is full. Choose outdoor tables if the weather is beautiful, find a seat at the bar, or find a table inside. Nice happy hour specials. Been many times. Nice selection of craft beers and several wines. This visit we enjoyed the Norwegian sausage and the bbq. Both were nicely done and hit the spot. Fries were ok. Service, as always, was available but not hovering and super friendly. We left happy and restored;). Would be a 5star spot for me if more porters, stouts were on offer and wider selection on entrees. Not much of a sausage or pretzel bun fan, but my dining partner is. We both feel for what is on offer, this group of folks will take good care of you and you will be happy you came. Glad Eiderdown is part of our neighborhood.

Andrew DeGruccio

Great local hot spot. German cuisine with a twist. Great beers on tap. Historic location.

Dear Raindrop

Great pretzels! Good mustard! Cold beer! Excellent service. Only had a pretzel and beer but it was very good. Close to the airport! I stopped before going to the airport.to drop off a friend. Took less than 10 minutes to get to the depature drop off. Around the corner from the German mill lofts. Cute girl working there.

Rachael Gaffney

Really tasty and a pleasant atmosphere.

Petra Lee Thomas

AUTHENTIC food great service unique menu large variety of beer & wine

Brian Laz

It was nice. I wish I had tried something else.

April Murphy

I'm going to be as fair as I can. Walking into the establishment for one, smelled horrible. The burning of the incense sticks plus the candle at the entrance made for a complete nose assault. The beer cheese and pretzel I really enjoyed.. I ordered the schnitzel, never having it in chicken form it wasn't too bad; the gravy was a little weird and gelatinous. By the end of our dinning that night dinner really started to pick up and our server really was on the fritz and we were forgotten about a few times. That chaos showed when we had two separate bills and my card was swiped for both. Normally, this isn't an issue and I can absorb that cost, but after I watched the transactions manipulated from my hold account to paid through, the restaurant realized the mistake and decided to continue to charge me but instead take the tip off both charges. To me, that was dishonest and thievery. I was charged for something I did not eat or acquire service for. I emailed the page contact who was apologetic and said they would contact me at an agreed designated time, and did not. I love exploring Louisville's local dinning, but that whole ordeal was an unnecessary hassle that really ruined it for me

Charles Houston

What a great hidden treasure. Wonderful atmosphere and a great staff make for a fantastic evening. Their German fare is just delicious. Price was very fair and i look forward to visiting here again.

Zemir Babahmetovic

Simple and tasty

E.Hutchinson Design

After an event at a nearby bar, some friends and I read reviews about EiDERDOWN and our interested peaked. I ordered the garden spatzel, which was incredible! The dumplings and mushrooms were perfectly cooked and mouth-wateringly buttery. The winter squash, goat cheese and parsnip cream sauce were the perfect addition to this decadent meal and added a refreshingly vibrant flavor. If anything, it was a tad on the dry side and could have used a tad more of the parsnip sauce, but all in all, it was phenomenal. My friend, who got the cheesy spatzel, also fell in love. She couldn't seem to put her fork down until the rich creaminess finally caught up to her and she couldn't possibly eat another bite. No worries, the leftovers were taken home. Wonderful experience in an organic-meets-industrial restaurant style! If you're in the area, make it a must to eat here!

Subhendu Pandit

Amazing beer place!

Erin Brown

I do travel nursing and when I am anywhere near this place I can't get there fast enough. Top notch food, beer selection (I go at the END of my shift.) and service .

Lucy Woodson

The roumalade was fab. Loved the Fest Balls and great Pierogi

liza mclaughlin

Great food atmosphere and service. Love the cheesy spaetzel.

Joe Blalock

Great neighborhood place with local beers and great German food.

Mary Martin

Very good, very large servings, very filling.

Property Manager

Oh My Goodness Can you say Spatzle??? BEST German food I’ve had in a very long time and super affordable

Ben Falstrom

Excellent service, amazing pierogies, pretzel, and entree. Good boulevardier, too!

Hannah Danielle

FANTASTIC. The food was incredible. The atmosphere was nice. The staff were great. THUMBS UP!!

lauren meschler

Fairly limited menu, must love brats/sausages. But it's a German-inspired restaurant, so that's on you if you missed it. But the food is always good, as is the service and bar. There is a small parking lot in the back, otherwise street parking. Good for kids. Great atmosphere.

Caroline Keck

Food is good German American comfort food. Atmosphere is laid-back and the beer selection is phenomenal.

Greg Mosier

Amazing food & atmosphere

Alicia Brinegar

The food was alright, I got the cheesy spatzel. My mom and aunt were disappointed that their potato salad was American and not German.

Rebecca Street

First visit since they redid the menu. Food was delicious, portion sizes and prices were greatly improved. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Second visit on 8/3/18 was equally excellent. They were very accommodating for food sensitivities in our party and everything was excellent.

Laura E-R

Great service and loved my beer

Joshua Moore

I have never been disappointed with Eiderdown. Better yet, Eiderdown has an exponential aspect of enjoyment for me. It grows better with every visit. I have had something different every time and have enjoyed every bite. The service is fantastic. From management to every employee, they are work hard and make it wonderful

Yohimar Sivira

Very tasty sangria! And a broad selection of German beers!

Jon Pangburn

Food was great. Service a little slow but very friendly.

Cat S

The food is what it's all about- it is my comfort food. Being of German dissent, and growing up in the south, it's perfection on a plate! It can get crowded at peak times, but the bar is there to allow you to sip on something good while you wait

Mont M

This is located in German town just a block away from The Post. They serve German food. The lunch menu was limited as it should be (who wants a phone book) for a menu

Talley !

Great German food, varied menu
