I have to say the food was good but the service sucks I had to wait like 5 minutes or longer for a refill for my water I was thirsty after my fried chicken. My waiter never did ask how my food was or nothing. Needless to say I won't come back

I've been eating at Eastgate restaurant for years! It's a good family-oriented restaurant we're friends and family can meet and enjoy themselves in nice clean atmosphere! I also know that the owners are Christians, which I think makes a difference in today's society! I've always gotten good service and good food especially their breakfast! So I highly recommended if you're looking for a good place to eat!

I've been here a few times and the food is always great. Went tonight though and I'm not sure I'll go back. We went in, it wasn't very busy, was greeted by a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wanted. We chose a table surrounded by 3-4 other tables and had probably 4 or 5 waitresses and employees walk by who never bothered to give us a menu, speak to us or acknowledge us at all. We waited for 15 minutes to just be acknowledged and handed a menu but it never happened so we got up and left. We weren't on our phones or distracted and that weren't that busy so 15 minutes without being acknowledged is unnaceptable.

Been several times in the past. Decided to go back today and when we got there we couldn't find a clean table to sit at. Floor was dirty and there was hair inside the menu. Waitress got our drinks and by that time we seen enough unclean to risk what was coming out of the kitchen. If the front was that uncared for then I would assume the kitchen was as well.

My family and I have been going to this diner for years and have watched the staff change throughout the year's... There's a woman who Cook's at night and she is by far the best cook they have. She's not greedy with the portions and cooks like she's cooking for her own family. There's also a day time cook who's fairly new and he is the best day time cook they have. My dad only wants to eat there if those two are cooking and I agree. The waitresses for the most part are good at what they do,but I've heard conversations that should have been private not loud enough for the customers to hear which is very unprofessional. The tiny blond waitress on days seems too flirty for a dollar. My favorite day time waitress is defiantly the heavy set short blond hair lady. I guess if I had to pick one waitress I never want serving me it would he the black lady that work's at night. She's always on her phone very loud and unprofessional at times. In the end the food is the main focus an if you want a damn good meal go in and eat when the lady cook at night is there. She wear's her hair in a bun not sure of her name.
