You may have noticed that it has an average rating is almost the best one, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is quite accurate. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of New American restaurant.
Beautiful venue, amazing food, and you clearly are paying for it! $9.00 for a cup of tomato soup...that while delicious...was still $9.00. Not kid friendly. Beautiful. Cold inside. Beautiful. Had a hair in our salad
I took my daughter and granddaughters for brunch. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken. It included Johnny cakes, collard greens and fried okra. When the server brought it to the table, I received only the chicken and johhny cakes. I asked where the other items were. The server indicated that this particular menu item was new. She went back to retrieve the rest of the order. She returned with a very small dish of pickled collard greens only and told me that they had not received the okra in their last food delivery. The bill I received did not include any reduction in price for the missing item. In my opinion the servers should have been aware that the kitchen could not provide the item as described. I should have been given an opportunity to order something else. The restaurant should have discounted this item by a dollar or two as this was one of their more expensive brunch items. Needless to say, I won’t likely be back for brunch any time soon.
It was very good quality and the food looked nice and the employees were very nice as well. I highly recommend coming here for events.
Brunch was delicious as well as the mimosas!! And latte too!!
Top shelf food, top shelf service and top shelf atmosphere. I have a business on Pike street so I eat there on the regular. You’d be missing out on an amazing dining experience if you don’t try them out.
Rosé frosé fabulous
Surprising find in Covington. Hip restaurant in a 4 Diamond AAA Hotel. Deviled eggs are a great appetizer and the burgers were great. Enjoyed the marinated cucumber salad. The indoor dining area is well done and the outdoor area looks great, too. Will definitely try dinner here sometime.
Great atmosphere. Bar service is not great. Definitely understaffed
Absolutely wonderful service, food, and atmosphere
Tried this place for the first time and thought they overall experience was great. The atmosphere was great. The cocktail list was very good, I enjoyed the whiskey business. The food was good as well. The pot pie is something you don't normally see on a menu and it is well worth it. Another member in my party really enjoyed the burger. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this as another great place to visit in Covington.
Exquiste pork with apple cider reduction, charred brocolini and turnups. Yummie...
Fantastic restaurant! The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were happy to assist in the decision making for the menu items. It was a beautiful environment with great people all around. Highly recommend!
Great food and service
Great ambiance. Drinks are a bit pricey but the well designed atmosphere may be worth it.
Great banana foster French toast and alcohol selection!
Delightful atmosphere and fantastic food
My favorite place! Both dinner and Sunday brunch are fabulous. The atmosphere is lovely. The staff is amazing, especially Tyler. He has helped me arrange and facilitate gatherings there and is absolutely priceless.
Nice place. I was there as entertainment at a wedding.
The decor is nice, & the history around the location is interesting; but the food is both bland & overpriced. There are a slew of both better & cheaper places to eat in Covington
Friendly staff great drinks!
The food and atmosphere is really good. The bourbon is a bit overpriced though.
Finally visited and was not disappointed. The drinks were fabulous and the food delicious. I can't get over the decor and what a fantastic space they've got there. Sit outdoors, you won't regret it.
Wow! Everything was amazing. The tator tots are a must try.
Everything we tried tasted amazing! Check out the CLPB&J you would never guess what's in it just by tasting. Also, corn fritters, gumbo, Mac 'n' cheese, burgers, all so good.
Great atmosphere and service. Really enjoyed our meal and thought prices were fair. Started with the country ham biscuits and they were outstanding. Probably best we had. Also had the burger and grouper. Burger was average but good. The grouper was really very well prepared and crunchy. Will be back
Not enough menu selection for the price they want you to pay. Highly overrated!
Hotel Covington might be my favorite place. $4 off draft wines during happy hour can't be beat.
One of our favorite places in NKY to enjoy a drink or a meal. The staff is always friendly and the food and drinks are top notch.
Very good food in a classy urban environment. First class bar.
@Eating.Drinking: A beautiful Wild Striped Bass comes from Executive Chef, @ChefMitchArens during a spectacular visit to @CoppinsRestaurant yesterday evening. • Tucked inside of the aesthetically pleasing, @HotelCovington, Coppin’s offers locally sourced New American fare, wonderful cocktails and a full bar in a rustic-chic gastropub environment. • The Wild Striped Bass included; sea island red pea “hoppin’ john”, charred broccolini, roasted tomato beurre blanc. • The staff are incredibly friendly, the hotel have their own parking lot a “stones-throw” away, and the hotel and general environment is supremely romantic, low-lit and sexy, with food delivered to the highest standards possible!
Great food. Cool Atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff.
Great atmosphere and vibe. Strong selection of bourbon and while limited the draft beer choices are eclectic. Food was good I had the burger and "tots" the sauce on the burger was like a Chipotle flavor. Not spicy, just a bit of heat. Good. Will go again and would recommend.
Beautiful place with friendly staff and amazing food!
Very cute and relaxed atmosphere. Pancakes were fantastic. We will definitely be back.
Fun place to eat and drink!
Underwhelming and expensive cocktails and overpriced liquor. The food is good but at the price, I expect it to be excellent. The service was horrible. They brought out a different dish when they were out of the sea bass. We were not told we would not be getting what we ordered until the replacement meal arrived. They left our dirty dishes on the table long after we were finished and long after dinner arrived. The place was beautiful but really loud.
Classy atmosphere, delicious drinks, incredible food. Stunning!!
Great bourbon selection
Very good atmosphere and great service. The menu has a good selection of interesting drinks, apps, sides, and main dishes. We really enjoyed the cocktails, including the 24 Carat. Don't pass up the opportunity to try the tots and the mac and cheese.
Staff friendly and service excellent even with a wedding and party going on... Great atmosphere
We had 8pm reservations for 18 people. Upon arrival was told the table was wrapping up and would be available very soon. We wound up waiting until nearly 9 before being seated. It also took us a very long time to receive our check once we were finished. The meal itself was very good, but the portions were the smallest I've ever seen. If you have any kind of an appetite you will need to order more than one dinner, I could have easily eaten a minimum of 3 oxtail tortellini. I left ready to go eat another dinner elsewhere. Overall the experience was rather disappointing.
Great atmosphere on patio. Great, friendly service. Fantastic food. Cool music. Can’t imagine a much better dining experience.
Went here for dinner during the week. Waiter was good...at first. 1 small water pitcher for 4 people, not enough. Never to return to refill it. Food was good. Very clean restroom. Might return.
Great place to stop for a drink and appetizers with friends! Trendy and upscale place with friendly service. The pimento cheese with fresh bread is phenomenal! Corn fritters are delicious, too.
This restaurant in a boutique hotel has a very fine kitchen that serves a menu full of nice dishes. Our party of 4 started with Old Fashions - very good, but I wish it had been served with large chunk of ice instead of ice chips. Next time I will have it neat. The meat/cheese board was ample as an appetizer for 4, but we added an order of Deviled Eggs, which were creamy and yummy. They are small eggs - larger than quail, but smaller than potluck. I had the Shrimp and Grits. Too often this dish gets over-seasoned and the delicate shrimp flavor is subsumed. Not so here. The flavor balance was spot on and the poached egg on top was a nice finish. My companions had the walleye and it was judged to be very good. The dessert of Pumpkin Cheesecake was quite a surprise. It was delicate and airy as.a cloud. Service was attentive, but not fussy. A word of caution - the dining room is very loud, so if you want a nice place for conversation, this is not it.
Love their coffee bar and the staff is great!
The food was amazing and the ambiance was great!
Over priced and steak was not very good and it was tuff.
We celebrated my mom's 70th birthday here. The staff was beyond accommodating and helpful in every step of the process. I couldn't recommend Coppin's more for their food and service on your special day -- or just a night out!
Amazing food, atmosphere, beverage selection, and service. Definitely adding to one of my local favorites.
Amazing food and atmosphere
Best breakfast in a long time. Everthing was HOT. Wait staff friendly and capable. Great for a group. Handicap friendly.
We went to Coppins Restaurant at Hotel Covington for our anniversary. I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed it. The service; from stepping in the door till exit was personal, friendly, attentive and professional. I had the Marksbury Farms Pork, and my wife had the Amish Chicken Confit. Both dishes were prepared to order and were amazing. The dishes had a well balanced and complex depth of flavors that reflect well on the upscale dinning experience. Dessert consisted of Carrot cake and Peanut Butter Creme Brulee. The eclectic furnishings and rich history tie everything together for a wonderful evening.
Great drinks and even better atmosphere
Just a really fantastic experience all around. The service was excellent. We ordered the ham and biscuits and deviled eggs to start, both were delicious. Our drinks were perfect. We shared the smoked pork chop which was great as well. Try the "tots" too. The atmosphere was very nice as well. The glass ceiling dining room was very cool. I Highly recommend visiting.
It was okay. The service was decent, but the waiter dropped one of the appetizers and it landed on my friend's pants and shoes. To be fair, the manager came out and apologized. He also offered to launder the clothes and cover his meal at no charge. But still upsetting to have food spilled on someone. The food was pretty good (but my gumbo portion was very small), drink selection was fine. I probably wouldn't go back, but it was decent overall.
CLPBJ is amazing. If no one told you what was in it you'd never know it was chicken liver. Corn fritters are bombtastic. You'll be hard pressed to find better gumbo around d here
Great cocktails and food
Food was average and when we had a complaint about the food, and they had to replace it, their attitudes seemed to change drastically and for the worse.
Everything my group of four and I had was fantastic. Great setting and attentive staff
Our waiter Aaron was great today! The food was delicious and atmosphere is great. Brunch is a must!
Amazing food and service
Great food fast service comfortable dining area
Great food selections and service. A good meeting place for business and friends. Portions are rather small, you might want to check what to expect and order some sides.
Had company from Centerville Sunday. Two of us ordered “steak for two”. Fatty and grizzily. (after calling it to the attention of the waitress, brought out some prime rib?. I know what MP means but wow, certainly wasn’t worth that price of $80 some odd. It was very disappointing. I was trying to impress my company with Covington as I grew up shopping at Coppin’s. Other 2 guests happy, waitress great, parking attendant very nice as was the man at the desk but not the steak! Joyce B.
Delicious brunch with great ambiance!
Never reviewed anything so take it for what it's worth but at the same time take it for what it's worth. We made a reservation for 8:15pm. We waited for 30 mins on the hipster side area and never got a table. So we went elsewhere and all was good. Either take reservations or don't. Looked great otherwise.
Amazing food and atmosphere.
The service was wonderful, but the menu was extremely limited and the prices were outrageous.
Ordered the $90 ribeye and it was over 50% fat, worst steak I've had in a long time.
Maybe the best brunch I have ever had
Superb food Superb customer service!
Good cocktails, fantastic small plates, good service, nice decor
Never knew it was there. But glad we found it. Atmosphere was pleasant and fun was wonderful. Loved the tomato soup. Highly recommend.
My wife and I had the Redfish for two -- it was outstanding! Great service, a very pleasant environment, great meal.
Breakfast and service was very good. Nice place to have a relaxing meal with a friend. Nice decor. Staff friendly. Like the small gift shop area in the hotel that features Kentucky products
Amazing brunch. Staff is the best. Hannah our server is very very good at her job we loved her . Get the shrimp and grits! This hotel is amazing!!
Excellent Sunday brunch in very inviting surroundings. The restaurant is located on he ground floor of the Covington Hotel. They have hometown twists on traditional brunch items. The food was great and the service good.
Limited menu but always delicious. Try the special.
Ate supper from the restaurant week menu. The food was a little better than average. (The blackened catfish didn't seem to be blackened.) Plenty of wait staff. Portions were just ok. Pricey. I'll go again at some point and order from the main menu, revise this review accordingly.
Terrible. Limited menu, no substitutions. Very expensive!
Delicious as always! Highly recommend the Nashville chicken, steak & eggs, & the shrimp & grits. But you pretty much can't go wrong.
I traveled from Louisville to come and enjoy the Greater Cincinnati area Restaurant Week. We've had reservations for months at Coppins to take advantage of their Restaurant Week lunch menu on Sunday. I checked the site several times, trying to decide what I wanted to order. ZERO indication that they chose not to participate on the weekend. We arrive only to find they are not honoring what their website advertises. The young, female manager that came to our table was smug, rude, condescending, and offered nothing to appease us for their false advertising. We walked out and went across the street to Agave on Rye and had a FABULOUS experience. Great food and friendly, attentive service. As a group we spent well over $60 at Agave on Rye, so money was not the issue, it was the principle and the manner in which Coppins' management addressed the situation. Coppins will never receive my business again, but Agave on Rye has earned a regular customer thanks to Coppins' poor approach to paying, generous tipping customers.
Mabel had the best time at Doggie Brunch!!
The most outstanding Mothers Day brunch with anything you could imagine
Spectacular experience at this restaurant, the service was excellent, very friendly and patient. Nice atmosphere which made the food good. The Nashville Hot Chicken was delicious. There sweet ice tea was good.
Service wasn't awesome and only half our group liked their food. Ambience was cool, though.
Advertised a restaurant week menu with lunch, and no specifications that they wouldnt honor or serve lunch on the weekends. Then treated us like itiots when we asked for the menu and basically laughed in our faces. Then accused my 73 year old mother of purposely losing her parking ticket not to pay when the machine never gave her a ticket. We walked across the street to agave and rye and had a fabulous lunch instead. I suggest you do the same!
Good, bad and the ugly. The restoration is impressive and the place is beautiful. The bar tenders were attentive and that side of the restaurant has a cool vibe. However, the dining area is loud, our food was just ok, and the service was really spotty. When I ordered the burger medium rare the waiter scrunched his nose and said "we don't do that". What? Apparently political correctness has invaded the kitchen at this place so they'll cook the food how they think you should have it. Plenty of other places to explore.
Love it Love it Love it! The atmosphere is almost as great as the food and let me tell you the food is awesome!
Great atmosphere and top notch food.
Outstanding bourbon list. Delicious entrees.
Fantastic brunch and amazing cocktails! One of the best bloody Mary bars I've ever tried and the farmers omelette is something that I'll definitely be back for!
overpriced, and food was just ok ,not outstanding
I loved it, the food was great with a charming outdoor area. We will definitely be back in the fall to enjoy the outdoor fireplace.
We dined here recently to celebrate my wife's birthday. This detail was mentioned when placing the reservation, but no mention was made during the evening. Our server didn't seem to have a great grasp of the menu. My wife's meal had a bug in the arugula. It's probably a fine place for a cocktail, but there are so many better options for dining. We probably should have tried Otto's, Purple Poulet or Bouquet. The competition for people's dining dollars is fierce especially with so many choices in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Hotel Covington needs to up their game especially given their price point.
Simply the best "Old Fashions" in the area! I've had many throughout the region and Hotel Covington is the best. Terrific atmosphere. Love this establishment...
One of the coolest restaurants I've seen in a li g time. Friendly and welcoming and the food was awesome. Make sure to get the cauliflower appetizer and the rhubarb/strawberry bread pudding.
Holy hell. I walked all the way from Cincinnati to this place and it was worth every step. Not only did I get the single best Kentucky Mule I've ever had, but the Covington hot chicken sandwich was just incredible. The place was cool, the staff was awesome, is give it six stars if possible.
The place has an awesome atmosphere that is second to none. The food is all great and perfectly portioned. Our server was great an attentive as was the rest of the staff.
Great service and friendly staff.
Outstanding food and cocktails. The atmosphere is transformative.
Very nice, birthday party there. Good use of old buildings, lovely courtyard. Very good brunch.
Great bar. Didnt really eat anything, but they had an awesome build your own bloody Mary bar and great cocktail. $$$$ pricey though
Have some of the best cocktails in the area with a beautiful space. Has an outdoor area too for when the weather is nice. I think their burger is also one of the best in the city!
An amazing restaurant with amazing staff. I spent a week and a half at Hotel Covington and Coppins was 80% of my meals that time by choice.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Coppins while we were staying at Hotel Covington. I enjoyed the pimento cheese deviled eggs as a starter and the Pat LaFrieda Dry Aged Prime Sirloin Strip as my entree. It was so tasty! I was thrilled that they had so many gluten free options. My son enjoyed the Beer Battered Cheese Curds as his starter and the Coppin’s Burger for his entree. For dessert, I enjoyed the milk chocolate pudding (seriously delicious) and my son enjoyed the sorbet. Coppins is the perfect destination for a girl's night out, date night or special occasion or in our case mom/son date night! Don't be concerned if you think the menu is small because every single item we tried was delicious and there is something for everyone. Even my picky teen was happy and that is saying a lot! He requested to go back on our last night in town. Plus, they will customize to suit your needs. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was too!
Great space and atmosphere. Good food. Relaxed upscale vibe
Great food and drinks
Great atmosphere and wonderful food!
GREAT SERVICE from Tiffany. TERRIBLE Butchers Cut Steak. 1/3 fat and the chef said that was normal. Chewy and very dissappointing. $75...not sure what else to say other than I could pick a better steak at Kroger, trimmed better and cook it myself. Loved our waitress, and the Black Raspberry Chip ice cream. Made up for the steak. Didn't want to dwell on the steak. Just order wisely. Just expected a better answer for the poor steak. Cheers.
I had high hopes for this restaurant. Service was great. Food was good. Unfortunately the short rib was the most tough, most bland, and most dry piece of meat I've ever had. I thought maybe I had an off dish.... and I looked around... and several tables was being served this terribly prepared piece of beef. Risotto was fantastic, waygu sirloin was beautiful.
Beautifully appointed restaurant - inside, in the atrium, and outside areas. The food is unique - small, well chosen menu with local, traditional, and international options. Great value, service, experience!
The food was good and our server Robin was awesome
Wine on tap, not a whole lot more to say. Except for the meat and cheese board. The atmosphere is reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. The remodel of the building was perfect. Great place for a date night with that someone special!
Amazing experience in Covington's best restaurant!
No matter how busy they are, we always have great service
Fantastic place. Great atmosphere, brunch is heavenly!
It was really nice! A bit upscale for my taste but still a friendly establishment with a rich history. Would recommend to anyone that isn't afraid to spend a bit on good cocktails!
Always a wonderful experience. Atmosphere, service and food are outstanding!!!
Great food, friendly staff, beautiful ambiance
Disappointing to say the least!! My husband and I love to try something new! We have wanted to try Coppins for a while now but since we have a little one we rarely get the chance! The food was mediocre-we over heard that the chef “had to leave.” The service was absolutely terrible and I had floaters in my wine. We had to call the manager over to get the situation addressed because our server was MIA and he apologized and asked us to come back. Im sorry we are not willing to waste our money on a babysitter and mediocre food...
Great atmosphere and drinks. Fun place to hang out any time of year but when it is warm the patio is awesome!
This restaurant is quickly becoming my favorite in the greater Cincinnati area. I've eaten here (kind of) 4 times. One was for a wedding but the food still came out of Coppins Kitchen. First. The fritters. Oh my God. They're so good it's stupid. Second. Their cauliflower. I don't know how it's possible to make cauliflower taste that good it's... unreal. Third. Their Gumbo is the best I've ever had outside Louisiana. Those are my favorites but Literally everything on their menu is stupid good. Also worth mentioning. I came here for brunch and got hot chicken and pancakes and it was also stupid good. They have a decent beer selection and I think some good wines too but I don't know a whole lot about wine. They have a lot of different whiskeys to try and they make a really good old fashioned. It is kind of on the expensive side but seriously worth every penny. I'll be back for basically any special occasion.
Great service and food. You have to try the PB&J cream brulee for dessert!
Nice hotel bar
Very nice atmosphere. Food was really good. Every thing is 1st class.
Terrific and great atmosphere, but sometimes seems understaffed, which seems stressful for the staff (and might make service a bit more ambling). Nice folks and great place to meet people.
The service was fantastic. While the menu is a bit on the pricey side, especially for the area, everything was delicious and high quality so it's still a very good value. We especially loved the sangria and the corn fritters!
Love this place. Great coffee and great atmosphere
Omg, yum. Pork burger was out of this world. Great tap selection and the bar service was friendly and attentive.
A lovely space, wonderful service, and delicious food. We started with the donut bread pudding. It was like eating the middle of a fantastically gooey cinnamon roll. My wife had the avacado, egg BLT. She was ready to go back for another one an hour after we left. Our daughter enjoyed the fruit and yogurt along with an everything bagel. The waitress smartly suggested I add a poached egg to my shrimp and grits. The shrimp was expertly seasoned with just the right amount of heat. Each bite of grits was a new experience with the included carmelized onions, andouille sausage, and chorizo. We will definitely be back.
The breakfast was killer! Had we known how good it would be, we would have had dinner there the night before! The atmosphere was just as wonderful as the goetta eggs benedict.
I'm a foodie, but I wasn't terribly impressed with the dishes. I think they're trying to go for Southern chic, but not quite hitting the mark. On the upside, the restaurant space, which is predominantly glass, offers views of a private garden.
Just delicious! Wonderful atmosphere. Best drinks ever!
Food is great, employees are friendly and courteous. Outside dinning is available and a great atmosphere.
Food was good, waiter was nice. Plates and utensils were dirty before we got them however.
Coppins is an absolutely amazing restaurant for any occasion! I highly recommend Hotel Covington as well if you are wanting a comfortable and fully serviced stay!
Great food great service and an absolute great place
Great atmosphere for colder weather or holidays. Extensive burbon and wine selection. Beers are mostly local or bottled. Several sofas and loveseats for casual or intimate conversations.
Always delicious & creative cocktails. Nothing beats their Old Fashioned. Try the big cheese board or cauliflowervif ever on the menu.
Upscale in the center of Covington. Good for groups.
Some folks were picked up from other top restaurants. Aside from the corn fritters with buttermilk ranch dip, they make other amazing dishes like oxtail ravioli. Fully stocked bar & great, spacious atmosphere.
Amazing space, food, sevice, drinks... just go already!
Great place. Good drinks and a fun atmosphere. 1
Excellent cocktails. Fantastic bartenders. Great service. Great food.
A jewel in Covington. Always an interesting menu, and a good craft cocktail bar.
Perfect brunch!
Chef Mitchell Arens made a delicious meal worth every single penny. I highly recommend it!! Delicious,!
This is a beautiful space for a special occasion dinner. Do recommend. The cocktail menu is unique, and what I had was quite good. For food, we tried the corn fritters (delicious) and I had the burger. The menu is broken into small plates and regular by a large space, so pay attention because it isn't immediately clear that everything on the top isn't meant to be a meal.
My favorite place to go rather it be for drinks with friends or just to fill time during work hours for appointments. Beautiful design and absolutely outstanding service.
No charge for drinks if you use the code: up down up down left right left right b a b a select start
If you can't have a good time here then stay home. The atmosphere, food, service, and drinks were all top notch. Covington is lucky to have such a nice boutique hotel with this kind of public space below. I can't wait to go back on a nice day to sit on the patio and have some breakfast.
I feel such nostalgia for this place. Coppins department store was a staple in my youth. They have made a beautiful hotel, and a scrumptious restaurant. Lovely setting in "The Cov."
Nice hotel lounge atmosphere, open and lively. Robert is an excellent bartender. In fact, they're all nice-looking, well-groomed fellows in clean, sharp aprons that harken back to another era. Good gin drinks, prices better than I'd expect from a hotel bar, and a nice selection of bitters.
This place is a beautiful place for brunch! Reservations required for weekends unless you don't mind a long wait.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service!
