Super friendly staff! Even though it got busy while we were there, our server always came to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. They were doing some training during our visit and it was well organized, everyone who we worked with was respectful of us and one another. The place stayed clean even after the hundreds of guests piled in and out for the lunch rush. Consistently food that's enjoyable and affordable.

There isn’t one of these near where we live, so we like to visit when we travel. They are usually quite consistent. This one is fine, however our waitress was like a helicopter - hovering too much and too attentive. Our Thai crunch salads were about as usual although the chicken was quite dry.

Pizza is a 7 out of 10. Other menu items are really good though. Had a great server but soda tasted like it was either expired or machine needed to be cleaned. Management disagree but our entire table agreed something was wrong.

This isn't the cleanest restaurant I had dirty silverware and had three beverages replaced due to dirty glasses. I wound up paying for a beverage that I didn't get to drink because I couldn't get a clean cup.. very disappointed

worst restaurant experience i’ve ever had. went in tonight with a party of 5 for my friends birthday. waited 15 mins before we were greeted. ordered drinks at this time, waitress came back for our food order without drinks and let us know the bartender was new. our food came out, we finished our meals... still no drinks. our waitress told us twice that the bartender was currently making ours. still didn’t receive drinks. spoke to a manager who was not a personable person. she told us the bartender was new and apologized for the wait. she told us she would take the drinks off the bill. curious, i walked up to the bar to see all 5 of our drinks sitting there on a tray. we asked our server for checks a couple times, she returned to the table a few times without checks. finally, after missing our movie and an hour and 20 mins later we left... no drinks, and very unhappy. they tried to say they were slammed. with 10 tables inside and 4 on the patio.. i saw 5 different servers and 3 people behind the bar. i would not recommend and will never return.

We usually share a salad here, because they are huge and delicious. Hubby gets a noodle dish for his main course and I get the tortilla soup which is incredibly rich and tasty. Only thing that I would like them to change would be for them to start offering their lunch combos on weekends. I cannot figure out why lunch would need to be different on Saturday than it is M-F. Servers are always nice if a little rushed sometimes.

The bestttt! Food quality has never declined over the years. Their appetizer selection has evolved wonderfully. Have yet to be disappointed by a single aspect of all my experiences there. If I had to pinpoint a bottleneck, it may be that it gets tough for servers to keep up when it gets busy, but thats understandable, and whenever I have encountered overwhelmed-looking servers, they have still pulled through and provided amazing service. When I desperately need comfort food, this is in my top 3 go-to places.

My wife and I had a great first experience here. KP (I'm assuming she was the manager) welcomed us to the restaurant as first time guests and provided a free appetizer. Allie, our waitress, was knowledgeable and polite. Her pizza recommendation was delicious (we are finishing the leftovers right now) and she did a great job at checking on our needs. I would recommend dining here and will eat here again when I am back in the Louisville area.

Should change the name to California Food Kitchen. Pizza is secondary and now moved to a small flap on the menu. Went on a Friday night with no wait. Was it because of the changes or just a fluke, slow night? Maybe we didn't get the memo. The place is nice but I'm not going to go to a pizza place to order a $26 steak. They need to return to their roots. I haven't been in over a year, none of the pizza items have changed. I'll probably wait another year unless they go the way of Chi Chi's before that.

Went to California Pizza Kitchen expecting them to be accommodating of my food request for an alfredo sauce pizza. The manager told our server that they could not do it, even with an alfredo sauce on the menu. Very disappointing.

Not worth the money. Spent $17 for a pizza the size of a frozen Tortinos pizza. Mushroom sausage pepperoni pizza barely had sauce or toppings & they didn't bother with the torn basil & other specialty toppings that was stated on the menu. Never got served the olive oil / bread. 1st & last time going to this place. Just not worth the money!

I am very dissatisfied with the service, staff, and food. We ordered a chipotle chicken pizza with no chicken but then the pizza comes with chicken and was cold. We had to remind them to bring the pizza for us because no one was bringing it.

The service by Logan was exceptional, the down call to this location is that it is overpriced ...and on a bbq chicken pizza I think I may have had 4 small bites of chicken on a 10" pizza. While we were sitting there I also overheard another customer complain about the price abs lack of food. For this reason I don't believe I will be back. I'm giving 3 stars ...and they all go to the server.

We've visited this California Pizza Kitchen numerous times and I only now realized I'd never reviewed it. It's time to fix that. CPK has always been a great place to go and has a great variety of food, whether you're looking for lunch or dinner. This visit was for a Sunday lunch and we arrived around 11:30 and were seated immediately Since we like tall tables, we sat in the bar area, which affords a view of the yellow-bricked pizza oven. No sooner than we sat down we were greeted by Logan, our server. He took our drink orders and have had bread and iced tea for us in no time. Since we don't eat at CPK often (often enough, actually), it took us a few minutes to look over the menu, but Logan was helpful with suggestions and answered any questions we had. My wife opted for the lettuce wraps and I went almost immediately for the Santa Fe Bowl. One of the things we like about CPK is that it's not loud and obnoxious. There's no loud music playing and there's not a screen showing a sporting event I'm not the slightest bit interested in staring me in the face. There are a couple screens but nothing that serves as a distraction. Our food came out in about 10 minutes and was exactly as we ordered. The Santa Fe bowl, like my picture caption says, is amazingly beautiful. Logan wasn't far behind the food delivery person to check on us and to see if we needed anything else. He also mentioned that you can now take a CPK pizza home with you...and that it's only $5. You know, Take & Bake style. Fast forward to use taking home a Chipotle Chicken pizza (which became Monday's dinner). This visit to CPK was great. Logan was outstanding and the best server we've had at this location. He was spot-on with everything, especially the iced tea refills (we drink A LOT of iced tea and it can be a challenge to keep up with us) and making sure we were being taken care of. We might be adding this to our Sunday lunch rotation. :)

My family and I recently went here for dinner. The food was great. The service was great. We ordered pizza and a pasta--both were delicious. The atmosphere is awesome. It was conveniently located with easy access to the Oxmoor mall. The only issue we had was that our fired maccoroni appetizer was a little over done. Still, we will be going back.

Soooo for some odd reason, it seemed like lemon was part of every one of my orders today. Extreme lemon flavor made my food disgusting. Waiter was rude and focused on the table next to us. Asparagus and arugula salad and shrimp scampi zucchini where horrible and sour that out of 7 shrimp in the plate 4 went back with most of the untouched dish. ..... i will not be returning, there are definitely better places around.

First visit. Delicious food, excellent service. We we're attending an event and running behind. After alerting the server, she was on it and got us out the door. Definitely recommend the Chicken Picatta and Tequila Chicken.

Cobb salad is great, but prices are very high, especially for a mall restaurant. A fountain drink is $3.29. The pizza is sub-par for an expensive place with "Pizza Kitchen" in the name. Food quality and quantity is okay, but not at the level of menu prices.

Absolutely terrible experience. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks, finally asked for a manager after finishing our food and canceled them. Walked inside to see how busy the bar was and there's maybe 10 tables, 3 bartenders, and our drinks are just sitting on a tray never delivered to us. Honestly absolute trash.

Not only was the Sicilian pizza not as good as it used to be, it's not as good as many other pizzas in the area. Their humus used to great but it's no longer on the menu; however, my wife's tomato-bisk soup was terrific.

Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We were sat outside and waited 15 minutes for a server to greet us. I finally had to go inside and tell the host that no one had come to our table. Our server came, apologized for the wait and said that it was "one of those nights." My friends and I are all servers at restaurants so we understood. However, there is no excuse for the experience we had. We ordered drinks that never came. The server said 3 times that they were being made and that there was only one person behind the bar and that person was new and in training. So we got up to look to check out the bar and there were 3 bartenders. We ordered food, which came out quickly. I ordered a Margarita pizza that had NO TOMATOES.I asked for a side of hot tomatoes so I could put them on top and waited 15 minutes for our server to get them. She also apologized for there being no ice in the water because another server was supposed to get the ice and did not... Finally, we asked to speak to a manager. She did not bother to come to our table she simply peeked her head outside and said the bartender was new and she will cancel the drinks. My friend went to the bathroom to find all of our drinks just sitting on a tray at the bar. Finally, we asked for our check and waited another 15-20 minutes for the server to say that the manager messed up our checks so it would be a little bit longer. All the while the restaurant is barely busy and everyone around us was getting attended to in a timely fashion. I have been to this restaurant multiple times but will never return. It is upsetting because the food is usually good but the service was unlike anything I have ever experienced. It was my friends birthday dinner, we ended up missing the movie we wanted to see and left extremely frustrated.
