Had a great first experience at Bru Burger. The burger was absolutely fantastic. High quality beef, prepared to perfection, and with a fantastic, buttery bun (it almost tasted like it had been steamed, and then finished off on the flat-top to give it a slightly crisp exterior). Also, I could eat their fries all day long. This is all on top of the fact that the soft pretzels were also very pleasing as an appetizer. I plan to head back soon, and would recommend Bru Burger to anyone who appreciates a quality burger. Finally -- special shout out to the bartender, Brandon. AMAZING! One of the best burger joints I've been to. Bread pudding and cheesecake is decadent. Burgers are moist. Pulled pork is fantastic. Service is extremely awesome. Dorothy is awesome!

The food, and service was great. Best burger I've had in a long time. This place is a gem, got to watch the UK game in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere while enjoying a great meal. They have several chef burgers that are typically 8oz, but you can try 2 different 4oz burgers if you choose, thought that was a cool option. I'll definitely be back!

Had "The End Burger" and let me say that this is not a nice clean burger, you will get messy. Ordered it Medium and it was cooked absolutely perfect and delicious. If you are interested, the Onion Rings and soft pretzels are amazing. They serve everything like fries and onion rings with a house made ketchup that I would buy by the bottle, found out later they sell it by the pint, wish I had known that while there. The service was amazing, and our server was excellent. We had a Kentucky Bourbon Ale beer with our burgers and wow! It's a local brewed beer and it had a great flavor profile and pairs Great with the burgers. The only negative comes from my kiddo she suggests a plastic straw for the milkshakes, which are delicious, but the paper straws don't hold up very well when trying to drink a milkshake through it. Also this comes from a 6 & 7 year old.

Great service and food! Greeted immediately by hostesses and you could feel they worked together well. Seated immediately (430 on Sunday) which was fantastic since we had been driving for 3 hours and have another 8 to go home. Brandon, our waiter, was friendly and attentive the entire dinner. Glass never was less than half full. The food itself was delicious! Pork BBQ nachos, double bacon cheese for hubby, Cobb salad for myself and a whiskey brownie for dessert!! We definitely recommend and would come here again....next time we are in or passing through the area!!

Sat outside, on a Thursday night. Took 30 minutes to receive our first beverage. Everything after that took extra long, while our waiter kept telling us he had too many tables and everyone kept apologizing for our wait. Now we are 1.5 hours in and received our food, waiting on refills and beverages. More than likely will not come back after this experience.

Went twice in one week. The first time it was absolutely amazing, the service was incredible in the food was even better. the second time the service was more middle-of-the-road as was the food. I would check it out again. Had the barbecue melt with chicken, which was a great choice! Other people in my party had bru burgers and enjoyed them.

This restaurant was close to our hotel, so we walked over for dinner on a Sunday evening. They were not crowded, so we were seated promptly. Our waitress was attentive. She answered our questions about the menu well. My friend and I both had the beginning burger, I think it was called. Our thought was it would be smaller than the specialty burgers. It was still larger than we expected but very tasty. I had the onion rings. Highly recommend them with the house catsup.

It wasn't as good as it's reputation. In all fairness it was a cold Sunday night and maybe not the first shift. My burger was above average as were my fries. My wife's vegeburger was not up to par. We will probably give it another try. We did give it another try and was impressed. Attentive server and food was good. Four of us ordered different items and were pleased. Only down side was that they were out of Impossible Burgers - and that's not their fault. We'll be back.

Let me just say this place is amazing. The waiter was very helpful and detailed with the menu (and patient since my family took forever to order). The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the lamb burger without the Olive and relish.. IT WAS THE BEST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD. The gorgonberry pecan salad was also very delicious. I got a small salad and it was still big enough to split with someone else. Love that they have fresh fruit as a side option instead of fries or onion rings.

Stopped in late Friday evening 8/16, mostly because it was within walking distance of hotel. I arrived a little after 9pm. It was a nice evening to sit out on the patio, but I guess everyone else thought so as well because pretty much all the patrons were outside (a few scattered throughout the dining area (mostly at the bar though). Well, at least I’ll get great service if I can’t sit outside, I thought. I was seated promptly, of course. I wanted a beer and the waiter (I wish I could remember his name) offered some suggestions. A couple of minutes later, my local brew arrived (by another waitress or bartender..?). A few minutes after that, my waiter returned with another draft. Apparently, he didn’t know I had already been served. No biggie. As it turned out, I liked that local brew and would have probably ordered another any way. I was ready to order food at that point. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich sounded pretty dang good. The food came out almost as quickly as my drink! There’s a fine line between too long and too quick when it comes to food, for me atleast, and it definitely made me ‘spicious. I, of course, inspected what lay beneath my soft, buttered oat bun. What I found was not the perfectly fried, chicken breast, coated in the Nashville hot dry rub I envisioned; but more or less chicken tenders...pieces...piled on a bun, with their bland coleslaw. The first thing I noticed, aside from the fact my Nashville hot chicken sandwich was composed of chicken nuggets, is that they appeared to be cornmeal coated. Who fries chicken in cornmeal? This is Kentucky for goodness sake. The only two things I expect when I visit Kentucky is that I can get good fried chicken and good bourbon. Waiter stopped by to ask how everything was. I had only eaten some of the coleslaw (which is how I knew it was bland). I replied that the chicken sandwich was not what I thought and requested vinegar (for the coleslaw) and some mustard. During his trip to the kitchen to retrieve the condiments, I got up close and personal with the funny looking and somewhat sloppily prepared Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The grit of cornmeal was definitely present. I quick whiff strangely returned a faint fishy aroma. Odd, I thought. I took a cautious nibble. The unmistakable flavor of aquatic animal flooded my palate as did the histamines from the offending protein. I’m allergic to fish! Almost immediately my tongue and throat began to itch. This was just a little nibble! If I had taken a full bite, I may well be composing this review from from my recovery room at UK hospital. Upon my waiters return, I told him that the chicken tasted like fish and inquired how it was prepared. He said they do indeed use the same fryer as the fish. What?! Who does this? And why would this not be disclosed?!? You could friggin kill somebody, and I expressed as much. Waiter apologized profusely, but as far as I’m concerned, if you know this cross contamination of proteins is common practice in the kitchen, you should let your patrons know. The manger came over to apologize. It made me more upset because he knew of this practice as well and allowed it to continue. He apologized as well and asked if I wanted to try anything else and he would comp. I did think twice (because I wondered what other shortcuts they may be taking back in the kitchen, but my growling stomach, coupled with the late hour, and proximity to my (hopefully) comfy hotel bed-I acquiesced and ordered the turkey burger. I give credit where it due. The turkey burger was good- well seasoned. The fries were hand cut, cooked in peanut oil, I think, with a hint of garlic-the perfect companion to the perfectly prepared turkey burger. If I find myself back in Lexington for an overnight, I may stop by off the strength of that burger. Maybe...

Burgers were perfectly cooked and service was awesome! Marshall is very informative and answered all of our newbie questions without hesitation! Definitely top 5 burger for me! Do beware though, if you do not like pickles make sure you tell your waiter to not include the pickles on the plate! Most everything is made in house and it shows! YUMMM

This place is truly amazing. The sauces are made in house as are most of the food. The black bean burger is fresh and hand packed. The portabella mushroom sandwich is also a good pick. I personally had the Mexicali and as a Texan totally approve this burger with fresh jalapenos. Also be sure to order the fries. It comes with black pepper ranch which is amazing, along with their house ketchup and barbeque sauce.

Great selection of burgers here, I tried the Mexicali BBQ with white queso, pickled jalapeños, guacamole, fried onions, house chipotle BBQ sauce, lettuce, and tomato and it was too big to finish. My husband had the BruBurger which had cheese, bacon, tomato jam, caramelized onions, chopped lettuce, and mayo, he had no problem eating all of his burger. We shared an order of french fries, served with a house ketchup and couldn't finish them. We'll go back to try some of the others!

Well the service was great, fast and informative. The food was pretty good, but the prices are outrageous. I could of ate at a nice steak house for what I paid for a burger, fries and beer. I would like to see these prices drop significantly. Though again. The service was amazing... going to recommend Google bumps this up to $$$ instead of $$. Good beer selection, and burger was good, you also have to buy fries separate which are expensive just for fries. I doubt I'll come back unless it's on someone else's tab. Ha.

Came in on a pretty packed night and got seated only 3-4 minutes after we walked in. Wanted a new experience in a new town. The hostess was friendly. The waiter not so much. Not personable at all. The decor was rustic modern and very appealing. The food was good. The portions were good. The prices were typical. The food is worth another visit I just hope we get a different waiter. There’s plenty of free parking.

This is a really great place to go if you are looking for a more upscale yet casual burger place. Try to beat the crowds, because this place gets packed around dinnertime. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because our server didn't seem like she wanted to be there, and wasn't very welcoming.

Absolutely the best burger joint in Lexington! I had the impossible burger and I have to say, it is the best vegetarian burger I've ever had!! Their root beer floats are to die for. our waitress could've been a tad bit friendlier. Fries were delicious and don't get me started on their house made ketchup!! I will definitely eat here again.

This was great food and great service. Came through on our way back to Michigan and it was the best choice after trying to decide for a while what place to stop at. They were very flexible letting us put impossible burger on any of their many options which is super cool when you're looking for vegetarian choices that aren't generic or icky. Everything came super quick and even any small mishaps

Much to do about nothing, salads might be enjoyed by a goat. Over priced everything. Something as simple as char broiled hamburger does not the kitchen sink dumped upon it.
