Would give this restaurant 10
Nice, quiet, great place to meet friends for great French Food! Atmosphere is wonderful. Service was impeccable both times I was there. Reasonable priced for the upscale place that it is. Give it a try!
Atmosphere was not loud, waitress was super friendly, food was excellent. Highly recommend.
The Ruby Red Trout was excellent. The wait staff is both friendly and knowledgable. Having eaten here several times we give it 5 stars.
Excellent place with excellent service
Had a very lovely dinner with a friend, food was amazing. I had the Kabobs, so tasty! Tiffany was our server, and she was friendly, gave great menu suggestions and wine pairings.
Great food and service.
Last two meals at BP have not been as special as previous visits.
Great atmosphere and great food. Lynch is very reasonable.
great place to walk a mile underground. great employees.
Wonderful food and service.
Great meal and atmosphere
Our experience from appetizer to dessert was over the top wonderful! Our server, Tom, was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. We came for our anniversary, and they brought us a small cake to celebrate. If you're looking for a special night, you won't be disappointed!
Absolutely awesome dining experience. Went for their Mothers Day Brunch and the atmosphere, waitress perfection and the food options were amazing. We will return.
Fine dining at its best!
Very lovely restaurant. Great food! Throughly enjoyed it.
The Trout is the best trout I've had. The staff and service was timely, efficient and very informative. Thank you for making my first anniversary more memorable.
I've written a review for this restaurant in the past. Our experience this time didn't match the expectations set forth by our last visit. The restaurant wasn't busy, only a few tables were occupied. We arrived and were immediately greeted by the hostess who took us to our table. Service, was attentive but not friendly. Our waitress didn't engage in any conversation with us, but would respond to the inquiries. We were in and out within an hour, with no desire to stay longer. We ordered different seafood dishes. Food was well presented. Portion sizes were medium, both however lacked flavor and some other items we've ordered that were exquisite during our last visit were not up to par. Very disappointing.
This rating only applies to their New Year's Eve set course meal. My wife and I found it to be fairly ordinary when considering the $85 a person price. It was good, just not as good as we expected. I got the salmon on rather plain saffron rice. My wife got the filet mignon with mashed potatoes. The appetizers were a lot better; seared scallops and lobster ravioli. My wife and I both think that the food options were too Americanized. I am not sure if that's the case on the regular menu or not. We both have had exceptional French cuisine in San Francisco for comparison. With the draft beer and wine we had a $200 meal that felt like it was worth $80. Also, the chocolate macaroon cake my wife choose didn't contain anything like a macroon cookie. Was a good chocolate cake just seemed like it was a bit of a stretch in title with the macroon part.
Great food, very nice staff. Food is always full of flavor and the variety of unusual American food makes it fun.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. My husband and I got an appetizer (the pistou), two entrees (salmon and steak frites), wine, and cocktails. Everything we ate was superb, and our server, Tom, was great. Highly recommend this place.
Delicious authentic french cuisine. Great place for a birthday or celebration dinner. Extensive wine list. Amazing charcuterie boards and other appetizers. Loved the pacing of he courses and presentation. Would recommend to everyone looking for a fancy experience!
Service great, but not enough steak selections, but its french so i guess if your looking for French food, its good
Excellent service and a meal to die for! Very good selection!
Great friendly and very helpful service. Food was out quickly for lunch. Very much enjoyed the onion soup and mussels. We will be going back soon.
The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. Guy, the owner, is a fantastic host. You can't possibly go wrong here!
Guy and the staff are amazing. Great food and great atmosphere
We were a group of six. Each and every person enjoyed their meal. 3 had the trout & they said it was the best they ever had. I had the pork chop, which was thick, juicy & tender. They have a very nice wine selection. It is a little pricey & it is a bit ridiculous to charge $2 for a basket of bread, although it was excellent. The ambiance was elegant & quiet making it easy to have a conversation.
Pleasant experience. First time having escargot. Good service, good food.
Valentine special meal was anything but special
Outstanding experience and an unforgettable menu made this the best wedding anniversary my wife and I had ever had. Provence offers an incredible mystery wine dinner, and is definitely worth your time!
Delicous, one of Louisville's finest.
One of our favorite restaurants! Great food and service everytime.
We had reservations for a business lunch. They were very considerate and seated us at a secluded table allowing us to converse freely. The food was fabulous and the desserts were awesome. My lunch guest were very impressed with the entire experience. Looking forward to returning.
Great food
I dropped in wanting small bites and press coffee and I was not disappointed. The bartender was very attentive and courteous service. I enjoyed their special bar bites for happy hour; calamari and olive tapenade.
Casual and spacious, pleasant decor, fabulous French cuisine, a wonderful, attentive staff, and a gracious French proprietor.
We visited the restaurant last year. The ambience was good. We were very new to the cuisine, so we expected some help with the menu. The fish we ordered was undercooked for my taste. Not sure, if we would have liked, if we had ordered something else from the menu. The dessert though was very tasty.
Best French onion soup in this area. Go for lunch. You won't be disappointed. Also got olives, and the tapenade was delicious. The grilled baguette that accompanied it was perfect.
Always great food and great service
Had family dinner here. Had private room which made it so.....nice. Great service.
Excellent food and desserts
Great music! Awesome desserts!
Celebrated my birthday today, our first time here. Loved the food, atmosphere and staff were wonderful. We couldn't read the menu and they were so kind to find us magnifying glasses lol. Will definitely recommend and be back
Delicious food. Excellent service.
Food was top knotch. I would suggest to everyone to try and make it bucket list resturaunt. Sea scallops were fresh , sweet and buttery decadent, duck sampler you have to try! All GOOD! Bravo
My wife, daughter and I went to Brasserie Provence on 19th January to celebrate a special day. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the maître d and she escorted us to our seat. The maître d helped us understand the soup of the day and chef’s special of the day and allowed us sufficient time to select our appetizers as well as mains. The food was as good at it gets. We ordered the braised Pork belly and the crab cake and both were outstanding. The chef’s technique and quality were both at display in the 2 dishes. For mains, we ordered the pork chops and the duck magret. While the duck was pretty expensive, but worth every penny. The pork chops were succulent and tasty. Overall a great experience eating at Brasserie Provence and would recommend the place.
Always a wonderful experience. I have been to France several times enjoy authentic French Cuisine !
What a delicious indulgence! From the salad and soup to the wine and dessert, the food and the service were flawless. For those times when you want to splurge on an extra-special meal, Brasserie Provence really delivers.
Superior Brasserie with amazing food, superior service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Very nice experience. Menu seems quite limited.
Good food - the hanger steak was great. Pricey for a casual meal but keep it on the list for that special occasion
Service and food is always good.
Food is good. Service is good. Dinner is the best time to go. Lunch doesn't have many choices like dinner does.
Very nice place to take out of town guest to.
Love the food, atmosphere and the service we received was outstanding!! This will be a regular eating place for our family!! The proprietor makes you feel welcome and important! Thank you ...see you soon!!
Exquisite Exquisite Food Absolutely Fantastic!!
Hands down the best place I've ever eaten. The lavender pork chop is simply the best. Desserts are delicious. A very robust wine lost. Atmosphere is so elegant and cozy. Staff is well trained, knowledgeable, and nice.
Took my family here for Mother's Day Brunch. I called ahead and made a reservation. We were seated quickly, but that was the only thing that was quick. For 11am reservations our brunch wasn't served to us until almost 1pm (THATS ALMOST 2 HOURS!). The server kept stopping by and saying our food was up next, although it didn't come out soon at all. After several tables who were seated at the same time we were had already completed the meal and left, I pulled the hostess aside to complain. She apologized and the owner did come over, although our food had just made it to the table, so he didn't understand the issue and did nothing about it. The portion sizes were extremely small (not worth the $45 for brunch). Additionally the wait staff continually served the men at the table first, rather than the ladies (this is typically customary at fine dining restaurants). I actually corrected them at one point. I elected not to go to several other restaurants for brunch because I had heard this restaurant was so good. I can assure you I won't make that mistake again, and won't be coming back.
Very good service. Every one of my party enjoyed their entrees and sides. The French onion soup was very good. I had bouillabaisse and it was underwhelming. However on the strength of the food ordered by others in my party I will come back and give them another try. Excellent wine list.
Everything was cooked to perfection. Don't hesitate to get the ribeye.
This place is amazing! Whether you're a francophone, looking to give your taste buds a treat, or interested in a beautiful and friendly atmosphere, this restaurant gives it all! As a former inhabitant is France, it's like a true French restaurant - with the owner checking on his customers. As a mother of a toddler, it's also family friendly with a tasty kid menu. The bar area is cozy and private for date nights. All around a wonderful dining experience!
Fantastic food and service. Jeff is an awesome waiter. Ask for him you won't regret it.
This is our first visit but will certainly not be our last. What a delightful experience! Our service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The meal was a treat, from the Tomato Goat Cheese Tart and Vin d'Orange aperitif to the daily special filet kabobs. Our dinner wines were enjoyable and affordable. Macaroon cake dessert was just divine paired with rich French-pressed coffee. I cannot wait to try some of the other dishes and wines. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Great foot, excellent service and good ambiance. Excellent way to spend an evening with a friend.
This is our go to restaurant. We mean going to France. Authentic. Personable informative service and great pairing of interesting complex wine list with genuine French fare. Service like the south of France. Seasonal vegetables under the meats and layers of textures to keep us coming back.
Classic French cuisine. Guy knows what he’s doing.
Fantastic !
Best French cuisine we've ever had. Scratch that - best food we've ever had! Explosion of flavors, nice ambiance, and wonderful service. Can't wait to come back!
Always a wonderful experience. Highly recommend
Loved it! Had a great, relaxed Saturday evening, they food was delicious, the wine was divine, and the dessert was a nice ending to a perfect experience. Chef's creation (Sat special) was awesome!! Glad I went for it.
Had the 3 course menu and enjoyed 2 of the 3 dishes. The cold appetizer was average, the starter was excellent, and the main course was good, but they got the cook on our steaks wrong. They still tasted great, but they were definitely both well done when we both asked for medium. I would say the price was slightly higher than it should have been for the overall quality of the food and presentation. The desserts and service were excellent and are the reason for a 4/5 rather than a 3/5.
The gratin dauphinois was lovely. We enjoyed the ambience. The service was good. All around nice place for 'date night'.
The summer menu is out and absolutely amazing.
Fantastic food. Pricey but worth it. Very authentic. French boyfriend agrees! Try the Tropiezienne!
Excellent place. Both food and service!
Atmosphere is very appealing. Service from entry to exit was superb. And of course the food was exquisite
Recently had a lunch here with a medical seminar for our Myasthenia Gravis patient & caregiver support group. The iced tea, salad & dessert were good. The other food not as good as when we went by ourselves a few other times. The chicken had a good flavor, but was a little chewy & french fries didn't seem the appropriate side, but the menu was pre-set. Before going, I had given our support group a great review for this place. I hope they weren't disappointed. The room we were in was a bit cramped & people had a hard time getting around.
Excellent special.
Rich French foods!! Loved the escargot and mushroom appetizers!!
Fabulous food. Fabulous wait staff
What a lovely dinner! From the greeting at the door to the gracious good bye. Service absolutely on point and food was delicious. Best Salade Niçoise I've had in ages.
The food is great they have so much to choose from if you like french food
This place is a gem. The food is divine, and the service is top notch. Everytime I've been Guy (owner) is hard at work making sure that everyone that comes in has a great experience. They do some nice set menu events (holidays), but this is also a perfect place to celebrate with a loved one. It's not cheap, but I doubt you will regret coming. Pro tip: save room for dessert
The food here is amazing and Gui is always there to greet you and make you feel like family!
Nice space, good variety on the menu. Have usually had good service. Portion value could improve.
Who would go to a French restaurant to get a burger? Me! I read several reviews praising their burger and I was not disappointed. I visited for lunch and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The burger was truly one of the best I've ever had, cooked to a perfect medium (so unusual) and topped with bacon, Gruyère cheese, and caramelized onions on a brioche bun. I also added some garlic aioli spread which was delicious. Burger, fries, small salad and drink was $16 and change, and worth every penny.
Owner was really nice. My husband liked their mussel dish, but I have had better fois gras.
Great atmosphere awesome food and the service
This was my first French cuisine experience, and I was not disappointed. They had very great service, and great wine. The Red Trout was phenomenal and I would recommend it to anyone.
Food was decent, crab cakes were decent for lunch, had work function there, service was good, drinks were delicious
Delicious food. Friendly helpful staff. Owner was out and about visiting with customers and overseeing the dining area. Comfortable atmosphere.
Great French food. Tasty. Excellent wine!
Excellent food and atmosphere!
Everything is so delicious. Mussels, crabcake and trout so so tasty!
So. What color does my skin have to be in order for the chef to have acknowledged my date and I-------AFTER watching him come to our seating area (near the entrance) and greet all other guests. My money spends too. Wont ever go back!
Food was incredible. Great French wine list. It's a bit of a trek from in town, but worth it. Solid bistro.
Good French food excellent service. Heirloom tomato and watermelon salad was great.
