This place has it all. The ultimate sports bar. Our group of 40 had our awards dinner in the private room upstairs. We had ample space and access to our own private covered patio that overlooked the same volleyball facility in the "backyard". Our private bartenders were All Stars and the food was great. At the end of the night we went downstairs to the giant bar areas. The live band had people dancing and we were able to watch multiple sporting events on their dozens of TVs.

My wife and I made a quick decision to go out for dinner and drinks after a full day at a volleyball tournament. Hard to miss this venue from the road and thought what the heck. Food was fantastic, bartenders very attentive and dozens of beers to choose from! Will be back for sure.

I came to Blind Squirrel to celebrate my 21st birthday and my step moms birthday combined. Tina welcomed us at the door with a friendly smile and offered us a drink and a seat outside as we requested. She then introduced us to our bubbly, funny, and friendly server Shelly. Shelly was an amazing server who really went above and beyond to make a connection and to make sure we were having an amazing celebration for our birthdays. Tina who had originally sat us came by multiple times to check on how things were going. Shelly and Tina both made my first experience at the Blind Squirrel an amazing one!!!! Great service, great atmosphere, and great food, we’ll be back to see our favorite server. ALWAYS REQUEST SHELLY, she will NEVER disappoint!

Perfect weather for sitting outside enjoying dinner and drinks. The service and atmosphere was great. I had the fish Tacos. They were very good. My wife had the buffalo pizza made with cauliflower crust. Amazing!

This is a great place to hang out, watch some live music, have a cocktail and maybe play a little volleyball. With an attached sports complex and a huge projection screen this establishment would be an excellent place to watch the playoffs or a sports open. The twisty fries are excellent and the king’s blt has a half pound of bacon... oh yeah!

Love this place! I normally hate cocktail sauce, but whatever magic they put in theirs is amazing lol So I highly recommend the shrimp! Both the fried and cocktail shrimp. I haven't tried the pizza but it is highly recommended by everyone I know lol

I had the pepperoni pizza with extra sauce, the sauce wasn’t really seasoned but the parmesan cheese had more flavor. Overall the bathrooms were extremely cleaned, the building is really nice but it was hard finding it because it was off of a Main Street that had high traffic. There’s also live music/bands with a large volleyball sanded area.

Our waitress was super nice, she was very busy because of the band that night but she was very fast and efficient. This was the 1st time eating there and the food was really good. I got the appetizer nachos, and just so you know it feeds 2-3 people. Restrooms weren't too bad.

I live in the area and have been to the restaurant several times. I don't have any issues with the quality of the food, beer selection, any of that. My main complaint that keeps me from coming back is the service, especially when you sit at the bar. Last time I was there (April 9) I sat at the bar, it was about half full and waited 10 minutes before anyone asked me what I'd like. When I needed a refill, again I had to flag someone down because the bartenders aren't looking at their patrons and are too busy washing dishes to cater to a customer that wants to spend money.

She seemed rushed and put off taking me and my wife to our table. Once there, she simply dropped the menus on the table. I didn't hear her say someone would be with us. She could have said it, but I'm not sure because she walked away so quickly. The Food we had was good and it's a nice location with other staff being friendly even as we left, but the one young lady cost them their fifth star in this review. I'll give them another try.

I am sorry that I need to write this review tonight. I really had a pretty bad experience with one of the waitresses tonight at the blind squirrel. When I first sat down at the table I got a iced tea. I was the first one of seven people at my table that showed up for dinner. Everyone else arrived about 5 minutes after I got there. The waitress took our orders and everything seemed okay. She never brought me another iced tea to the table. Before the food arrived it was empty. also we never got silverware or napkins at the table until 2/3 of the way through the meal when we requested that she please bring some. I ordered a cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese on it. It arrived with American cheese on it. she told me that they would remake my cheeseburger and get it back to me, no problem there. a couple of minutes later it shows up and the American cheese had been scraped off parts of it were still on the burger and the bun and they had put pepper jack cheese on my burger. They did not remake the hamburger. I was told on four different occasions that she was going to refill my tea but did not. I never received silverware, a couple of my friends at the other end of the table did but not me.

I didn't take a pic of the food... But it was really tasty. The soup was above average for your standard bar / grill location. The Cubano sandwich was really good on a fresh role. The experience for lunch on a Saturday was great. Not too busy, quick service and friendly staff. The beer selection is impressive with the options for craft beers substantial. Overall this is a fun and enjoyable spot for a bite and some drinks with friends. Would recommend!

RUDE, HORRIBLE service and staff. So we came in at 4:30 pm Sunday afternoon. It was not busy. We came up to the hostess stand where one hostess was surrounded by 6 servers on the employee side of the stand and two servers on the customers side in front of me. We stood there for 5 minute, no greeting, no eye contact while they socialized as if we weren’t there. Then one of the people behind the “hostess counter” turned and made contact and I said to him; “ hi, I’m glad you noticed us” a tall woman server side eyed me for saying it and we just walked out. When we called and asked for a manager we got Crystal, rudeness personified that wanted to make excuses for a customer not being acknowledged and employees not doing their job. I just ended the call. If you want to be treated as if you are lucky to be eating somewhere instead of being treated as if your business is valued then eat here. If you don’t like dealing with rude oblivious people then don’t.

We went on a Friday night. It was busy but not slammed. However even with many open tables we were told an hour wait because they needed to give their kitchen time to catch up with the food orders. We ended up only waiting 30 & had a drink outside. When finally seated we did have to go find a waitress for any service. She did a good job but was obviously overwhelmed. The food was mediocre but the atmosphere was fun! It would be nice if they made a separate "designated smoking area". Just because we wanted to be outside doesn't mean we want to breathe in 2nd hand smoke.

Great food for what appears to be a standard bar and grill restaurant. Blind Squirrel takes the concept to a new level that others would be wise to emulate. Not just more screens but a legit live music stage complete with sound booth and stage lighting. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. It's not suprising that it is such a huge hit!

We were looking for somewhere to have a drink and some food late night to celebrate our anniversary as we were unable to get away earlier in the day. We looked up places that were open late and the blind squirrel popped up. Because it was a sports bar I didn't have high expectations, but we were very very pleasantly surprised. We sat outside on the patio , there was live music and she was wonderful. Our waiter Amir, was awesome! He was friendly, helpful, and provided great service. He knew it was our anniversary and he made it special by bringing us a dessert as well. The nachos were enough to feed a small army and were some of the best we've ever had. The drinks were fantastic! We will definitely be back.

First time here was a Friday of the NCAA so they were super busy. Food was good and glad we got out before the "band" started playing. Made no sense to me. Is this a bar or a restaurant? And why have a band playing at 9pm when the NCAA tourney, which most people were there to watch, was on until midnight? They also have volleyball courts. This place needs to pick an identity.

Awesome live band Krirby's Dreamland. Atmosphere was great. Pretty much a full house. Volleyball courts were full and both cornhole sets were being used. The upstairs party room was being used for a private party. My friend and I arrived around 10:30 after attending Ascension Catholic Church picnic earlier in the evening . My friend had the chicken wings with a few beers while we were there. Didn't seem to be disappointed with the quality. We always have a great time when we go to the Blind Squirrel.

Waited for 90 Minutes for a table but the advised 45! The server was Good The Speed of Service was Good! Food was Good! The Price of Dinner was competitive for the area. The restrooms and restaurant were clean. The Management Team has its finger on the pulse of the operation. Overall Grade "B"

I have eaten here 7 different times. The best jalapeno poppers I have ever tasted. The street corn is wonderful. The burgers are above average as well. The nachos are tasty and you get a huge order for your money. I would skip the pizza, average at best. And the chicken tenders we're not good at all, obviously frozen. It can be quite noisy a lot of the time. I think they need to do some sound proofing or some form of insulation or sound attenuating on the walls or ceiling.

I communicated with 3 employees during my visit. Either they had just received a butt-chewing from management or the hostess and wait staff aren't well-trained on customer service. Fortunately my waitress seemed to cheer up a bit as the food was brought. Maybe she had been frustrated because she was working 6 tables and seemed to be constantly in motion. The food is very good with a lot of vegetarian choices and lighter fare for the lunch crowd. I will chalk the attitudes up to a bad day and give them another try. UPDATE I gave the Squirrel another try today. A complete 180 from my last visit. The host greeted me warmly and my waitress was a charming young lady. The food was wonderful and my guest enjoyed the experience. KUDOS!

Great food, great ambiance, live music was a plus. The service was extremely slow, but it was clear they were understaffed. The host seemed to be waiting tables as well. We sat outside and had a drink as we waited for an outdoor table for dinner. We were told the wait would be 35-40 minutes. We saw a table get up, someone cleaned it, and it sat empty. I went to the host inside and asked if our table would be ready soon. They said yes, they were just waiting for two tables to get up to push together. Even though the empty table I saw was perfect for us. 25 minutes later I get the text that our table is ready and what to ya know...it's the table that has been sitting there, empty! It was clear they were understaffed so I didn't say anything and our waiter was kind. We will be back! You can't beat the outdoor atmosphere!

Took my daughter here for her Birthday dinner based on a few coworkers reviews. All I can say is they most have horrible taste in food or were too drunk to care because the food was not good at all. They have the WORST hot brown and should be ashamed to have it on their menu I wish I took a picture of it. Asked for twisted fries got regular fries. The other food entrees were not good either. I will say the fried pickles were good but that's it.

I don't really enjoy sports bars, but the Bloody Mary bar is amazing and the nachos are gigantic. The drinks are solid and the live music is great. Arrived one hour early but could not get seated. No where to eat inside so we drank a few. The band on Friday night was great. So far so good. Then I went outside after buying a cigar. Asked a guard outside the proper place to smoke and he indicated any where was appropriate. Crowded but friendly atmosphere. Stood by the fire. Meandered over to buy a drink and waited in long line, with my cigar. When my turn finally arrived the girl behind the bar rudely told me that I wasn't allowed to smoke in that area and to leave immediately. Maybe there was a sign, I don't know. I did not mean to offend, I just didn't know the rules. Anyway a nice night out with a great band was spoiled by my bad behavior and made worse by a rude bartender. All I ask is they be nice. good beer prices here and nice selection of local and other beers editing the review as I realize, after response from the blind squirrel that it wasn't fair to penalize them for a bad experience with some other patrons. I grew up in the ville and was visiting in town from DC and met an old college friend for drinks and to see a cover band. the service was acceptable and the food I tried was good. (bacon cheese fries) As we were finishing our food, some group of people approached us and asked if they could grab our table after we left. We said yes but then they kept coming back and "checking" every few minutes (pushing us to leave so they could take our table) as we got our check among other things. to be very clear it wasn't the servers or staff but the guests who were doing this. we left out of frustration and before I finished my last beer.

Always packed but the live music is really good and they gave big screens for all the games. Staff is always friendly.

Food is pretty good and so is the service. The atmosphere is very unique and much needed for Louisville. Recommend for family or dog visit outdoors on patio or a night out. Caters to any age

This was a few weeks ago, but me and my 3 friends got there around 7:30 or 8 on a Friday night.They were pretty busy but nothing crazy! They had a band going and everything, needless to say we were excited to sit down and have a few drinks and get some appetizers. Well we sit down and we get our drinks and order our food. Well that’s when things began to go south. Our waitress forgot our silverware, if we ordered another drink it took her almost 15 to 20 mins to get it to us because “she forgot”. And then to make it worse, she asked us we could cash out because we were her last ones for the night and because she was sick and had a fever. I’m sorry if you have a fever you need to stay home and not mess with someone’s food. I’m surprise I didn’t get sick.

Great venue. Lots to do. Went during happy hour and there were some decent drink choices on the menu. I got the margarita and definitely couldn't drink more than 2. Family friendly spot with large space for the public and a private party room. Definitely wanting to host an event there soon.

Arrived on a Saturday around 4pm and sat right down. The place wasn't busy but wasn't empty either. There's a surprisingly roomy stage for live music, but no band was playing at the time. I had the BBQ burger and while it was good, I don't think there was much BBQ sauce on it at all.

Had a party of 14, and waited for 3 hours for our table. When they finally seated us they gave us a table for 10. When We asked for an adjacent table, they said no. They would not work with us at all.

This place is awesome - great outdoor patio where dogs are welcome! I can’t believe all the whiney baby comments about food on here. I have had several things on the menu and it has all been great. I have been there several times a week for a few months - they keep making improvements by adding bar space outside.
