First time here. Brisket and coleslaw was my order for lunch today. Brisket was on the dry and chewy side, but with their sauce it was fine. Coleslaw was mild. Polite professional staff kept drinks filled and made friendly suggestions.

The most delicious thing ever is the Brisket Nachos. They have nachos, nacho cheese, baked beans, brisket, jalepanos, shredded cheese, and sour cream! Soooo good! This great place has friendly quick service. A Great place for quick lunch or a great place enjoyable outdoor seating. Even has live music some Friday nights.

The ribs and the pulled pork were excellent. The waffle fries as well. The mac and cheese was ok (softer and sweeter). The prices are outstanding. They have a well balanced selection of alcohol and beer.

Best ribs in town. They were perfectly cook and had a lot of meat on them. Great atmosphere. Service was excellent and we were surprised when we got the bill, pleasantly. For our food and drinks, it would have been 30% higher at a name brand establishment. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

Brisket sliced with, not grain. It was like eating old Manila rope. Flavor ok. Sauce ordinary and lacked character. Baked beans very bland. Not what I expect from a barbecue establishment. Cole slaw good. Service good.

Not sure what Is up here. I ordered a hamburger and waffle fries, hamburger ok but I got 6 waffle fries. When I asked why so few was told they weigh them..ok well if I owned a restaurant and a patron wanted a normal amount of fries,,, give them to them. My friends baked potato was not even cooked all the way. Think we will pick a different BBQ restaurant next time.

"A dozen wings of disappointment." On 2-3-19, I called in a simple pick-up order for 12 bbq wings and the entire experience including the wings turned out to be a disaster. I arrived 20 mins after calling(was told 15-20) and upon walking in, it took 3-5 minutes to even be acknowledged despite the place being no more than half full. I paid right away for the order($15.77) and added a drink to it thinking my order would be right up. After another 10 mins, I was told my order had been ready but was given away to another customer because they had not paid attention to what was being picked up by the last person to carryout. Apparently to-go orders are placed on a booth table by the back door and I guess they just gave everything on the table to the last customer with a to-go order. I decided to walk through the restaurant to see if there were any extenuating circumstances that may excuse this situation but the place was not busy whatsoever. At this time(40 mins after calling in order) I decided I would just ask for my money back but couldn't find a staff member for about another 5 mins to do so. Finally, one showed up with the order in hand, which I took to keep things simple and to not have to get upset at a young staff member. Leaving rather irritated and knowing I'd just wasted $15 and 45 minutes, I went home to find a box of very overcooked and hardened, dried-out wings. So after the horrible experience, the wings were bad too. One wing actually had not been cleaned or de-feathered properly and had a strip of feather still attached. This could have been supplied to the restaurant this way, however it should not have been served. Overall, I would call it a complete box of disappointment. I've lived in Lagrange 4 years and finally decided to try this place for the first time and was definitely let down. While I can't speak for the ribs or brisket, stay away from the wings, which are overpriced. The staff is young(teenagers), and although apologetic, they were running around pretty hectically for the amount of business they were doing. On another note, the restaurant was unique and very clean, and the staff was nice. I was very excited to try this place but do not think I will be back, unfortunately. *To clarify, I personally ordered and picked up these wings, my wife returned them and received the refund as I didn’t feel like returning after the issue. As far as walking through the restaurant, I made a single pass from back to front to see how busy it was and try to figure out what was going on. The staff members were running around all over- which I shouldn’t have to chase around. The restaurant was approximately half full and I was told two large parties had just came in after I had placed my order by phone.

Visited on my lunch hour. Wait staff was very polite ensuring our drinks were consistently full, but we didnt receive our food until 60minutes after we walked in. We ended up having our food served in to-go boxes as we left. However, the food was very good.

This was the second and last time for us. The apps were good and the beer selection was ok even though they have nothing on tap. The ribs and brisket were way too dry. It’s a shame because they looked so good. My own bbq is still my family’s favorite.

Stopped in for the first time today and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with onion rings and Cole slaw. I don't know if this is normal for this restaurant but the Cole slaw tasted like it had mashed potatoes in it. I'm not sure what was going on but the taste/texture made it inedible. The pulled pork on the sandwich was ice cold. The Onion rings were great but it's hard to mess up fried food. I expected a lot more from the number 1 rated BBQ place in Oldham County.

First time going to Big R’s this past week. Service was fine but when I received my food there was mold on my bun. Pointed it out to the food runner and she took my meal back. I requested not having any bread and just requesting meat only. They didn’t even offer to comp my meal and I could tell they just scraped the meat off the moldy bread onto a new tray even though they promised to make me a full new order over again. The meat was cold and dried out. I was very disappointed and was really hoping it would be great with even better hospitality from staff but was sadly let down.

Great atmosphere, great service, great BBQ. We've been here too many times to count and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious. I can personally recommend anything brisket, the chicken wings, fried mushrooms, the smoked chicken wrap, and the fried cod. Seriously, there's nothing bad about this place!

This is by far the best BBQ in KY. We occasionally drive half an how to get there and it is definitely well worth it. Sides are awesome, chicken strips are the bomb, and the brisket is to die for. Just make sure to smother it in there bbq for a real juicy sand which. You will not be disappointed.L

FANTASTIC Barbeque! Holy moley, I never heard of this place, and it didnt look like much from the outside, but on the inside it was warm and comfortable, really reflected the history and culture of Lagrange. The BBQ was delicious. There is somthing for everyone here,a more mature bar area on one side as well as a family dinning area separated on the other side. I can't recommend this place enough! If your in Lagrange give it a try!
